We've had our lunch from here. Which is tasty and lot in quantity for the money I paid. We ordered duck roast and beef roast. both were extremely delicious and very good portion for 2 people. Gravy of both curries were really spicy and it was good with rice . This place is easy to locate. They have indoor and outdoor dining
A decent place (though approach road is narrow as below flyover) with open sitting available and decent breeze.
The food is decent but some dishes don't really deserve to be ordered. Eg. Squid was not worthy and prawns were just average.
The Karimeen and Fried Karimeen were both good and pork was average (more fat )
But toddy shops provide the best Kerala experience and needs to be experienced.

This is a great spot to eat some good shop food and get good toddy within Ernakulam town. Here you have the facility to eat and drink toddy while enjoying the beauty of the lake. You can eat food both inside and outside. The roast pork here is really good. Also available are Duck Carp Appam Kappa Poth and other dishes
Must visit, the only local authentic one we could find close to the urban parts of Kochi.
Karimeen Fry is a must try, Tody was good too.

Super place, slightly hot at the time we visited but otherwise awesome food and we ordered a lot coz we were 8 people, and everything had a different taste. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR VEGETARIANS, no veg served here.
I tried squid roast, duck roast, anchovy (kozuva) fry, crab roast, kappa , ney meen thala curry (seer fish head curry) all the varieties were mouth-watering.. Perfect ambience
I don't think a local is looking at this review so let me cut right to the chase and say that if you're an out of towner looking for the traditional toddy drinking experience, this is the place to go. This place is about good toddy served in a minimally furnished compound. They were supremely nice about catering to us as vegetarians and whipped us up some tapioca and a red chutney. The toddy was tasty and 2-3 glasses of it is going to get you nice and buzzed. We spent about 500 bucks for 4 people, and you can't beat that value :p Forget about everything else and go enjoy the experience:D
Great location and very good services. Having very tasty seafood dishes with an interesting rate.holidays are more crowded with family. Only one negative is accept only cash not accept any UPI payment methods.
We called them in advance and asked for seat availability. As there is no practice of reservation they asked us to visit before 12:30 PM. By the time we arrived, the parking got full. We visited on a Sunday along with our Family. If you are planning to visit during a weekend make sure you reach before 12:30 PM. We ordered Meen Thala, Duck Mappas, Prawns Masala, Pork Roast, Kizhuva Fry, Rabbit, and Squid Masala, to go with it tried Kappa, Appam, and Idiyappam. All of it was good.
very good place to have toddy and good food. the ambience is really nice. it is near to the back waters. you can enjoy the wind and view. they provide outdoor and indoor seating. they allow parcels also. only issue is that it is a cash only place. they wont accept gpay or cards. take cash with you or you will have to travel back to find an atm. tried pork, duck, beef.
Open air ambience with Kayal front is great. Indoors are not that good, especially during hot whether, it is very hot and humid. Food is good, and of local cuisine, but not that great which one would expect from places like this. Its spicy hot, but not really hot. Parking will be a problem, especially on days of heavy footfall. Service is a little bit tardy, but not bad. They accept only cash.
One of the must try toddy shops nearby to Kochi. The location is mentioned in the Google maps. The food served here is very tasty with some coconut toddy. Duck curry, Beef curry with idiyapam and Appam is best. Another must try is Kappa with Squid curry. The location is perfect for a good vibe weekend with friends and family. Awesome ambience. Prices are a bit to the higher side.
You don't expect this from a toddy shop. It is a nice river side location, sitting under the trees, open garden restaurant. Spicy food. Many families come here and eat. Probably it is the local culture, they all drink toddy too. Service can be improved but hey, it is just a toddy shop. Can't expect a classy service.
Not sure how ratings work for a toddy shop π€£. My friends got a tad high with a few glasses. They will also allow you to take parcels.
My experience was good. Prefer to go there at early evenings. You can be with your family without fear.
Very reasonably priced. Prefer to try their fish varieties instead of beef and chicken. And the food would be definitely spicy as expected. So be prepared.
