Even being a non buffet person i am in love with there spread. The expectation was also quite high because of the brand. They completed pass on each parameter, starting from Hygien, food, service and ambience.
📌In the current scenario the utmost priorable criterion is Hygien and sanitisation. Both these matters are taken care well by the management by checking temperature to Sanitizing hands, feet and baggages. At the gate and even inside social distencing was maintained with absolute priority. Every officials and facilitator were wearing masks and gloves.
📌 Now coming to the spread which is extreamly amplitude. Each and every Cuisine is as authentic as it should be. Tasty of continental ravishing, so as the North Indian. The most whooping part was the dessert section so varied , smooth and sapful.
📌Service wwas so civil mannered and quivering at beep. Over all a much recommended place to have a fine buffet.
The staffs were very polite. The food was great except the chinese part.. It was a bit salty. The mutton item was best😌. Hope to visit again😇.
After lockdown it was like a breathe of fresh air.what we had was Tenderloin with mashed potatoes and Thai green curry. The taste was awesome.we loved the ambience and service. The precautions taken regarding covid was commendable as well.it was a good dining experience
Delicious food ...worth the price... amazing experience. Keep it up.☺
Loved it, one of the most amazing 5 star restaurants. Perfect atmosphere and music, good to spend time with your family and friends.
Property maintained safety precautions in view of Covid-19. A perfect place for dining in this pandemic situation.
It was a great experience at Waterside Cafe by Hyatt Regency. The restaurant has a great view of the lake and the lawn. It usually has a sophisticated crowd. Brownie with ice cream was a top-notch. The steak and Chicken salad was okay.
Amazing array of cuisines starting from Chinese to bengali, continental and as well as mughlai...Loved the desserts and great service over all..
Hyatt regency is a very famous and well renowned hotel In kolkata. Me and my mom went there and spent a nice time together.

This hotel was located JA 1, Sector 3, Saltlake, Kolkata.

Food quality was good, Ambience was a really romantic and decent, if you like different types of cuisine you can must go.
.
Go, enjoy highly recommend all.
Now there is nothing to tell new about famous five -star Hyatt Regency. Whether it is their hospitality or ambience or decor, all things about it are perfect,classy,eye-catchy.
We opted for lunch buffet.A lavish spread was there.
The four types of starters tasted average.Salads were pretty good.On the live station ther were options of pizza and pasta. We took chicken thin-crust pizza which was cheesy and yummy too. They also serve phuchka chats different types of breads cheese nan rotis etc.
I really loved Murgh Biryani,Grilled tenderlion,Thai stir fried chicken,Veg au-gratin,Pan fried fish, Paneer gravy in Main Course.Other preparations in main course was average in taste.
The dessert section was heavenly.Almost 15 types of desserts were there to satisfy our sweet-craving.But it should be mention some cakes such as Russian Honey Cake,Coffe Rasberry Cake were too sweetend to consump to my heart's content.
Overall it was a grand experience for us.
Beautifully done decor, amazing servers and a huge spread-that is Waterside Cafe for you in a nutshell. A perfect fit for those days when you wearing your "eating pants".
Went to the Waterside cafe for Sunday brunch (with alcohol), on my mom's birthday. Sevice little slow, but the staff was courteous. Buffet has numerous varieties- across cuisines, and the desserts were simply amazing. However, we were served only one drink- and we didn't get to choose which cocktail- which was slightly disappointing. Also, the mix wasn't done well- expected better since the alcohol buffet priced lot higher. Also, slightly on the expensive side.
Loved the ambience and the food. Great service by the staff. Salads, pasta and cheesecake are must try. A lovely place for a romantic dine out
I will review the lunch buffet because that's what I've had here. There were a lot of dishes on offer, and each one was of great quality. There was a lot variety to the menu, for all courses. The food and the experience was worth it. The fact that it is beside a garden where you can idle around for a while after your heavy meal is a bonus :)
Really loved the restaurant. The buffet system is ideal and the staff was very polite and courteous. The food was excellent; and we loved the desserts. The view from the restaurant is also very nice. Great place to come with family and friends; will surely visit again.
No words cant be enough to compliment this area
We had been for a Buffet Lunch at the Waterside Cafe.
The food items were good enough although we missed any mutton/lamb dish in the buffet menu..
The service and the staffs were very courteous and well behaved.
The section worth mentioning is their desserts. Truly fantastic one and huge number of items were available for desserts.
All over a good experience!
An amazing experience, with a beautiful ambiance and courteous staff and a range of cuisines that's gonna blow your mind. Definitely will be visiting again. ♥️
visited this place last year winter and its by far one of the best 5star restaurant i have ever visited... the place is simply awesome.. to know more watch the youtube video by Debojyoti Vlogs

Located near salt lake stadium. This Hyatt property is very interesting. The waterside cafe has a very good view to enjoy your food.
The buffet menu here is fantastic. With wide range of cuisines to choose from.
Some of my favourites dishes which stood out for me were haleem ( lamb ) , Biryani, mutton kebabs, coffee cake.
The Thanksgiving special curated menu is fantastic.

Ranging from the mamoth yet succulent Roasted Turkey to the heavenly Carrot Cake, every delicacy is as brilliant as the other! The drinks are something to drool for so is the wide range of amazing desserts! The appetizers turned out to be soulful while the mains were totally curated with perfection and tasted good! Loved it absolutely.
Highly Recommended.

Thanksgiving, originated as a harvest festival celebrated by the European Settlers in North America. It is traditionally Protestant. Thanksgiving was founded as a religious observance for all the members of the community to give thanks to God for a common purpose.
In the United States, certain kinds of food are traditionally served at Thanksgiving meals. Turkey, usually roasted and stuffed, is typically the featured item on most Thanksgiving feast tables, so much so that Thanksgiving is also colloquially known as "Turkey Day." Mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet corn, various fall vegetables, squash, Brussels sprouts and pumpkin pie are among the side dishes commonly associated with Thanksgiving dinner.
Thanksgiving is a federal holiday and celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November every year.
This year I celebrated my Thanksgiving Brunch a little early when I was invited by Rukshana di for the Gourmet passport experience at the Hyatt regency, Kolkata.
What a delicious, mouth watering spread! The grandeur of the spread can be seen in the pictures below.
Let's begin with the Pumpkin Sage Cream Soup, which was thick and tasty with mild flavours of all the spices and herbs. The asparagus and ricotta tarts were bite sized and I could eat a dozen of i didn't have the other items to try out which were too good. The fresh lox on mini bagels were soft and savoury.
The sweet potato casserole was a stunner with the cinnamon flavour from the top and the Apple and bacon tart was crispy and tasted really good. The lucious roasted quail with brandy, butternut squash and hazelnuts was appetizing. I loved the roasted stuffed Turkey served with fresh vegetables, mashed sweet potato, giblet gravy and cranberry jelly. It was fabulously well paired with the mulled wine.
Pies are always a speciality! The apple pie and the pumpkin pie were really well made. Am not a fan of these but i really enjoyed these. And of course how can i forgot the vibrant carrot cake which was so good and delectable.

@hyattkolkata I have enjoyed your hospitality & delicious dishes at Waterside Cafe. Taste & quality was good. Murg Handi korma & mutton biriyani was really good. 👍♥️ https://t.co/GnWTpEfLLq
Visited this place on my bday a couple of weeks back. It is located just behind the salt lake stadium. It a seating area which can accommodate about 40-50 people.
Decor is very aesthetically pleasing. There is also a swimming pool area outside the cafe for hanging out, though the pool is only accessible to the residents.
We went for the non-veg lunch buffet.
Food: 4/5 (because some of the starters were served cold but taste was on point)
Ambience: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Overall it was a great experience. Prakarsha Sikdar
Few days ago I visited this place with my family. And just loved the decor and the ambience.
We tried their special Puja buffet which consisted of lot of items. We got a variety of fish items there like ilish, Chingri, papda etc. The dessert section was huge and mind blowing. Staffs were cordial too. Loved the taste of the food. Will really visit here soon and recommend this place to everyone.
This place is really great for dining! The food quality is good and the staffs are friendly!
Great place to hang out for buffet and ambience. I have always loved the food here. Staff is polite and efficient. Always an amazing experience to dine here !
Great ambience. Courteous staff. MUST VISIT. We went for saptami lunch. The food was lip smacking. The baked kabiraji and the lamb chop was delicious. There were many new items like ilish mach er dim er soup - that is my top pick of the day. The kolkata style biryani was just outstanding - best biryani I tasted. The meat was soft tender and flvourful. The dessert corner was also very interesting. Lovely experience.
Food is good but the staffs should be more courteous...! Unlimited buffet almost 2000 per person...!
#fivestarexperience #loved the ambience, hospitality of the hotel. Though the buffet was not that great as it had limited food options for vegetarians.also the taste was very average not that great . Desserts spread was good in variety and taste though no eggless option was available. Loved the red velvet .
Had an excellent buffet dinner during pujas..
........ Thanks to Pritam, made our evening all the more wonderful.
Went for a lunch buffet and I liked their starters, main course and their deserts. I very much liked their ice cream. It had real fruit pulps in it and tasted like Baskin robins.
I was here at this place to try out their dinner buffet. The price of the buffet is kinda high when served with alcohol. The ambience is pretty good. I loved their food too.
The food has some limited choice in each section but if you join the indian & continental section it becomes very diverse, the quality is amazing. The sweet dish section deserves a special mention. Do have a reservation because often there is a long queue.
The ambience was great. The staff was very courteous. The number of starters could certainly be increased. The fish and chicken starters were quite good. The mains were good but not great although a special mention needs to be made of the Malabar Fish curry which was outstanding. The desserts were average with nothing too special.
HYATT REGENCY is a beautiful hotel, chaming and quite, with a lot of class to it that. After all it was the first 5 star hotel in this region. Our dinner experience at the waterside cafe was one we shall never forget. The appetizers, live counters, main courses and desserts were all great tasting leading to a mesmerizing culinary experience. The highlight of the menu was definately the indian main courses. There was kumbh sag, doi begun, mutton do pyazza and chicken biriyani. It was the best main course I have ever tasted in a buffet. The dishes were classical and prepared with care and attention. It really shows what a gem of a place this is and also that they mean business. With dishes like that, you are sure to rediscover your love for classical Indian cuisine, if you had lost it anywhere down the line. The confident but pleasant nature of the staff just made the evening even more special. Concluding, I think this one of the best buffet dining experiences you can have in Kolkata. Hyatt Regency being an internationally famous brand has all the ability/experience required to provide classy food coupled with elegant service.
We have tried the launch buffet , and there was a ton of options to choose from. We tried-
(Starters)
1. Fish fries (5/5)
2. Dry chilli chicken (3/5)
3. Salads were superb🥰
Main course
1. pasta (5/5)
2. Pork (3/5)
3. Grilled chicken (2/5)
4. Chicken biryani (4/5)
5. Laal mas (100000000/5) [it was amazing , must try for all 😉😋]
Desert
There was lot to choose from the desert section but loved the red velvet cake and chocolate vanilla mousse 🥰
Staff was good and food was also nice the pizza was not up to the mark, the live counter for chat was also good and the deserts were also fine
Our experience was good. The staffs were polite and welcoming. We had the best view, just beside the fountain. We went for the buffet. The waiter greeted us with glasses of red wine ( soft drinks, beer were also available). Now coming to the food- The salad and the Starters and the Indian section was really good. Especially the gosht biriyani. The live counters looked promising however we choose the European section after tasting food from the Indian section. The rice in the European section was not very tasty, however the chicken was really well cooked. Finally the dessert, which looked very promising was somewhat a disappointment. The pastries were somewhat too sweet to our liking. Somehow we felt the quantity of cream was a but too much. The mishti doi did not have the freshness to our liking. The chocolates were good. Overall:
Starter- 5 out of 5
Indian Section- 4 out of 5
European Section- 3 out of 5
Dessert Section- 2 out of 5
Ambience- 5 out of 5
Staff Behaviour- 5 out of 5
Went there with friends to try out their Dinner Buffet. The ambiance was amazing and the staffs were really courteous. They had an array of starters, breads, cheese, Chaats, Indian and European mains, and desserts. The food was really good but the dessert section was the prettiest! You also get a complimentary Drink with your buffet.( Alcoholic/Non-alcoholic) overall we had an amazing experience!
An exceptionally good place to dine out..we had gone for the brunch..the people are super courteous and in spite of it being almost full they helped us with a good place to sit. Ershad and Rahul helped us by setting up a table in another place..we were 8...the ambience is fab the decor is gorgeous..the food spread was decent..being a bong I was expecting some more fish in the spread..but the taste of the spread was nice..mix of Indian continental and pan asian..dessert had some good options..overall we spent amazing time out there..cheers..wish to come.back again
My 4 th 5 star visit. We went there for buffet lunch. The menu included, indian, chinese sections, breads, continental etc.
The starters were not that good. It included some fish balls and morula macher bora, which didn't taste good. It was over fried. Now, coming to Indian section, they had all types of bengali dishes, like chana kopta, daal, sukto, sabji etc. Katla macher curry was also there. But they didn't attract me.
What attracted me is their range of salads. A chicken salad preparation tasted very good. Along with there was fruit salad and others. The soups were also too good.
Indian section included a well cooked Biryani , light and tasty. Along with a chicken masala and Mutton kosha preparation which also tasted good.
The Chinese section included a very good tasty noodle and chicken Manchurian , they had beef also.
In desert section , the malpoa(live counter) , rosomalai, rosogolla, hot chanar jilipi and lagcha, cakes, mousse, icecreams etc.
Overall experience is very good. The 4 stars is only for the fact that the starters weren't that good.
The place of exotic luxuries starting from delicacies, service and ambiance. One of the best buffets in town! Must recommended to all. Loved the poolside view too!

Dwaipayan n Gautam there service is awsum n they r very generous. Love da food. Enviornment is also very good. They dont disturb da guest.Thank you.
Awsome experience. Very few restaurants serve such mouthwatering food. We ordered fried rice and chilli chiken..though very basic but the taste was mind blowing. The best part though was the brownie with ice cream, could not ask for a better way to finish our lunch.
The service and food quality was awesome special thanks to Ashmita Mam and Indraneel. Yesterday we had had 22 guests where all of them were happy with their dinner buffet.
Wish could rate them 6! The land of exotic luxuries..it was my birthday nd my gf arranged th sudden party! The hotel echoes the lavishnes nd simplicity to its highest extent. The buffet contained sea of collections ranging from indian to european cuisines. The cake that was ordered for me by my gf was belgium truffle..it was extraordinary in taste nd was presented in a special way. Lets come to the buffet! Dont knw from where to start nd end it. In the salad section there were sea of cold chicken nd veg salads. It had CEASAR SALADS, 1000 ISLAND, CHICKEN BARBEQ SALAD, etc. It was imposibble to remember hence gave a brief intro.
The main section was divided into indian nd european
Under the indian section they focused on bengali nd mughlai. Under beng cusines it had jhinge posto, bhapa mocha, parshe macher chop, veg chop, pulao, kosha mangsho, paneer, macher jhal, aloo posto, phoolkopir jhal masala, murgi kosha, potol chingri, potoler dorma, dhokar dalna.
Lets come to the taste! Its needless to say reg the taste. Each of the dishes had its uniqueness nd they retained the authenticies of the BANGALIYANA!
In the mughlai section, they served with tasty chicken mutton biriyani, butter chicken masala nd mutton roganjosh..
It also had a live pizza counter preparing diferent pizza.apart from all these,it also had pasta soup nd varieties of breads to accompany with.
There was a live chat centre preparing delicious indian chaats..
The european section had a series of items ranging from mutton, chicken, beef. It had grilled beef, grilled chicken, mushroom, veg noodles, barbequ chicken, nd what not!
Each of the items had its own exotic taste that relates to the European culture.
To conclude,it had a sea of desserts focussing on various bengali sweets, kheer, mishti dahi nd cakes pastries, channa uuff!!
The staffs were courteous, friendly specialy DWAIPAYAN BHATTACHARYA nd ARKA SARKAR .they were helpful nd always educating each of the guests.
Thanks for making our day specl! Guys u rock!
Lunch at Hyatt was my dream.
..and it came true today!!!!!
We grabbed our lunch at Waterside Cafe. We gave a shot to the buffet. It's a legendary place and hand's down, the place serves the most healthy and hygienic foods. Also, staffs are pretty helpful and friendly.
I should not elaborate much about the ambiance as I don't have words to describe about the place.
Let's come to my view about the food. I must say, they kept in mind that people from different sections of society come here to enjoy the food. That's a really great point. The food items I selected for the lunch were not that spicy yet it definitely aroused my taste buds. Although, I felt a little bland while eating dahibada and the fuchka. But, I must say it is the biriyani which took my heart away. The biriyani was absolutely perfect! There were few things are also we tried and the pictures are the proofs that how much we enjoyed our food.
So, here goes my verdict:
Food 4/5
Ambiance 5/5
Staffs 5/5
I just love this place. It's very close to my heart. I've lot of memories here. Food is sumptuous. There breakfast, lunch and dinner is amazing. Friendly staffs. Very well maintained. Would visit again and again.
Hyatt..name says it all.. courteous staffs, great food.. went for the buffet at night.. wide wariety of choice..
Went for the birthday celebration.. I was glad I went there.
I had an amazing experience in terms of hospitality, food quality and the ambience.
The recent visit was with the entire family of more than 25 people and the way it was handled was mind blowing.
Special mention to Kushal who was there managing the entire crowd.
Thank you team for having us there and being such hospitable people. A big shout for sure 😊
Very nice dessert section.. Sumptuous spread of choices
Great food quality and ambience
Dwaipayan’s service was good
Today
We had a bengali special menu
On 9th March on our anniversary we went there for lunch buffet...the food was really nice, specially mutton and roti in main course..starter and dessert was also fine...but no.of item was less in respect to a 5 star hotel.more options were needed.ambience was nice.staff were courteous..
Had a great experience!!
First time visiting any 5 star hotel. Nicely greeted at the main gate. Vallet parking was available. Very neat and clean place with superb ambience. Food was good too. I wanted to rate 4.5 for Food as I didn't like the preparation of a few dishes.
The service and ambience was superb. Live music lifted the ambience more. Highly recommended for anniversary or birthday parties.
Overall superb experience...will visit again☺️
Good food and an amazing atmosphere. Beautiful place to spend time with friends and have food. Enjoyed both the food and the cafe.
Went to have the dinner buffet after several years It has remained the same high standard as in the past. The selection of salads was excellent with great expensive ingredients like green asparagus and lovely olives on the stem. For the main courses they have oriental dishes including dim sums, fresh pizza and pasta to order and the full range in Indian dishes Just an excellent spread that is a buffet with freshly made food. The desert selection is decadent along with a selection of ice creams It's a must try buffet
Amazing food, Great Service!
This restaurant is a hidden gem! The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
A 5 star hotel if you're visiting your expectation will be sky high (specially when you're not frequent at high end places and on top they say they are running an Easter special Brunch). So we reached and went to the buffet floor. It seemed a bit small in terms of the space but a lot was arranged.
Now it's a buffet. So I won't get into the nitty gritties of each item. However the reason I thought the food quality was amazing -
1. The sheer amount of choice. There were so many dishes starting from basic to exquisite. I think my favorite was the spicy pork, bone marrow soup, live pasta & sushi counter.
2. Presentation - the Easter theme was exactly on point.
3. Pricing (Kolkatar lokjon crib korbe eta niye) was exactly on point. Plus to include unlimited alcohol for a very reasonable top up was another surprise.
4. The cocktails were genuinely great.
5. The food available on the counters was tasty.
6. The option of veg was limited but it was sufficient.
However, the live counter service to the table took longer than expected. Even cocktails we're taking time. There was enough staff, but not all of them seem knowledgeable. Also even though there was enough space inside, it would be nice to have an option of outside seating as well.
But overall it was an extremely satisfying experience 😋😋😋
A fine dining place located in a picturesque setting beside the pool and the garden, the Waterside cafe serves a huge variety of food spread across from different cuisines and a dessert section to absolutely die for.
Its a very beautiful cafe with an amazing view of outside garden area.we went on Christmas dinner and they only had special brunch that day maybe that's the reason it wasn't decorated anyway that wasn't a big deal .we had buffet for 2300/-per person inclusive all taxes and the hospitality was okayish it could be much better. They didn't had huge options in buffet but it wasn't bad for this price.
Must try are:
Pasta salad
Broccoli fry
Fruit salad
Dal makhani
Desserts(all options were amazing)
I enjoyed it alot and it was a great eve.

Through out all four days during Durga Puja had our breakfast daily at the Waterside Cafe. The variety of food were presented in an attractive manner and catered for most tastes.
Each morning, we were greeted with a smile and shown to a table. Chef Negi, Ujjal, Floor Managers Anisul, Amit and their staff were always at hand to ensure that we were looked after.
I would certainly recommend the cafe for the food, service and atmosphere.
PS: If you like any of the food presented, ask Chef Negi for the recipe. He will provide you with details of the ingredients, preparation method as well as the nutritional values.
Waterside Cafe is one of the famous restaurant in Hyatt Regency Hotel. Al a carte menu having wide range as well as buffet menu. Live continental counter is one of the attraction. You can enjoy your lunch or dinner with special one or with family and friends. Prior reservation is mandatory if you have any coupon to redeem. Individual staff is alloted to each table.
Great ambience, good place to spend time. Lot of food options but given the cost, many items are not upto expectation.
Really loved the restaurant. The buffet system is ideal and the staff was very polite and courteous. The food was excellent; and we loved the desserts. The view from the restaurant is also very nice. Great place to come with family and friends; will surely visit again.
I have a regular at this place for the last four years, but in the last two months, with the new Chef Amandeep, there has been a delicious transformation. The buffet fare, the layout, the responsiveness of staff has all got a super upgrade.
I simply fell in love with the continental layout and,of course, the mind blowing desserts.
We had breakfast there.Lots of choice for everyone.Very tasty healthy and neat and clean food .
Wonderful restaurant with great ambiance. Most of the foods are really tasty and they are fresh cooked. You will love the view outside. A great place to spend time with friends and family.
Naturally lighted up big space with cordial staff . The buffet has a wide range of spread to choose from .
