It was a special occasion, aiburobhat of one of my colleague. The thali was an enormous spread of bengali food starting from ghee, begun bhaja ending with mishti doi. Awesome ambience. All time fav
A frequent to this place when cravings for bengali food arise. Again have tried a lot from their menu but favourites are kata chorchori,Lau chingri, pabda shorshe, niramish thali, bhetki kalia to name a few. Lovely service

Ordered through Swiggy -
Luchi
Mutton Dakbangla with Egg -
This culinary treasure is the signature of this restaurant chain. The juicy mutton, spicy gravy, flavorful potato and egg is just fabulous.
Dhakai Mutton Biryani -
Distinctive taste.
Kochu pata chingri bhapa -
Steamed prawns in colocasia leaves and mustard paste.
Nababganjer Elish Biryani -
The taste of the rice lacks the flavour of ilish
The Food we had enjoyed at the time of lunch. It was really delicious taste with great quality, everything had unique taste which we had ordered, nice arrangement and services...
We went to Bhojohori Manna for a Saturday lunch. We took Bengali Pulao, chicken Duckbunglow , Mutton Duckbunglow , Bhetki Rongpuri , Machher matha die dal and Mishti doi. Every item was delicious. My favourite among all these was Bhetki Rongpuri fry. Ambience was nice though it was a bit crowded. Service was very prompt I must say.
I was searching for their Nalengurer Ice cream but unfortunately it was not available that day. Bhojohori Manna is one of Kolkata's most famous restaurants for serving authentic Bengali cuisine. I had nice experience there. Will try their Bhetki Paturi and Prawn platter next time.
A big Thumbs up and I would definitely like to recommend this place to all Bengali food lovers . 😊
Perfect place to try out Bengali Cuisine, the dishes were perfectly cooked , as well as the taste, perfect aroma to have a lunch/dinner,the place might8 be a bit small,so I would suggest to reserve or try out early hours to grab a bite, staff well behaved ,we ordered mutton keema and daab chingri alongwith the tradition Bhaat, Daal and Alu Bhaja the traditional bengali meal, for a light meal in the noon.,but got to admit the meal was worth the price!! Definitely recommend to have a try!! Got 2 visit d place definitely for a couple more times!!....🙂🙂

So, it's a must visit place♥️♥️
Well, if you're looking for some authentic and quality Bengali cuisine then you should surely head out to this place. This place has got indoor sitting arrangement for around 10-15 peoples approximately. But, that ain't a big deal because once you've had food from there you'll just be drooling over there itself.
So, we ordered from their starters 'CHINGRI CUTLET', 'BHETKI ROLL', and 'MAACHER CHOP'. It approximately costed around Rs.700 for two people. Honestly I'm impressed by the great quality of food that they serve.
So next time you're up for shopping at Garia hat, or you're there for some reason, please do go and visit this place to have yourself treated with some awesome food and let your tastes buds go wow.
The most lively outlet I have visited yet from the chain. The decor is great and the seating capacity is not as big as the one in Sector V but this is one outlet where the feel of traditional Bengali dining is slightly greater than the other ones.
The daab chingri, prawn malaikari, mutton dakbunglow and nolen gurer ice cream are some of the all time classics here. Also the chanar dalna is a must try.
If I had to choose only one outlet of Bhojohori Manna to re-visit over and over again I would probably choose this one.
Superb taste , good ambience and restaurant staffs are very polite and courteous... very tasty food and pocket friendly... authentic Bengali cuisine
As the city is famously known as the land of maach and bhaat, this much loved local delicacy can be enjoyed at this eatery. Starting from dab Chingari( prawns made in tender coconut) to chicken dak bangalow, bhojohori manna makes every dish in just perfect in its taste.
Food recommendations:
Basanti pulao
Chicken dak bangalow
Lebu lonka jhol ( chicken ) : this dish is a must try.. it is a different type of dish similar of chicken stew. But the smell of the lemon is just amazing.
Macher matha diye daal
aam poda shorbod
There is nothing here that I have not liked.. it is also not very heavy on your stomach .. for an experience of authentic Bengali food.. this is the place.
Proper authentic bengali food in Kolkata in reasonable budget. The taste is really good with all old recipes of a bengali cuisine. The ambience is nice and A good place for dinner or lunch to have with your family. The service is really good.
awesome place for couples families and friends... and as far as i know it is the only Bhojohori Manna branch with a mocktail counter & the mocktails are quiet unique in taste just like their names, i won't tell the names right now, it's better u go and find out 🤣 obviously the staff was good and i will surely suggest u to have Basonti Polau with chicken/mutton dukbunglow ❤️ THE EVERGREEN COMBO for me 🤤

vapa vetki folded with kola pata with ghee bhat, it's best food you can have. And at the end of you get mishti doi. When stay away from your own city, these are the taste which makes you feel good.

I paid a visit here at 1st January along with my family to give a treat to my bong soul. Undoubtedly, I was left satisfied after a scrumptious lunch. The ambiance is quite simple and comfortable. They avoided any eccentric interiors and decors while preferred to concentrate more over the food. The service here is very prominent. They served all the dishes and time amidst the rush of New Year.
Coming to the food I had jhurjhure aloo bhaja, rui macher jhol, chanar dalna, dhokar dalna and Bangali polau. All the dishes were utterly delicious and had the flavour of authentic bengali food. I specifically loved the Bangali polau. It had a rich aroma of ghee along with a perfect balance of sweetness. This dish is highly recommended.
No wonder it's Bengali's favourite Pabda Shorshe.

Pabda Shorshe at Bhojohori Manna is like homemade and so good.
You will love it with steamed rice.

Cooked in mustard and chilly, onion, garlic and ginger gravy this Bengali dish is sure to make you relish and want for more. While the magic of taste is added by sprinkling finely chopped coriander leaves.
This restaurant can offer you various kinds of fishes cooked in different style, so just order it and wait for few minutes for the delicious yummy mouthwatering dishes to be served.

One of the pioneers in Bengali style food, this outlet is near to Basanti Devi college. The ambience is excellent. We had ordered Bengali pulao, mutton dakbanglow and dab chingri. The food was served hot and was delicious as well. The staff behaviour was excellent. However, service was a bit slow and the price felt a bit overboard. Overall,a great experience.
The food is tasty and the staff are nice. Just that you have increase the size of the table and put couches to make it more relaxing. Loved the food .🙂
Bhojohori Manna is one of the top class best restaurant in Kolkata for Bengali cuisine. I was introduced to this restaurant by my Bong friend and from that day I had been to this outlet almost 7-8 times each time I visited Kolkata. These guys serve lip smacking yummy Bengali veg as well as non veg food. My personal favourite here is the crab masala, bhetki paturi, ilish (hilsa fish curry ), They also serve a good chicken and mutton reipie however the fish preparations here are mindblowing. I had tried the below dishes.Bhetki ronpori fry: 4.5/5Mini ilish macch bhaja: 4/5katla macch bhaja: 4/5postor vodo (alu vada ): 4.5/5large kankra jhaal: 5/5Ilish Barishali: 5/5chingri malai curry: 4.5/5chingri jhol:4.5/5Bhetki Paturi: 5/5Luchi (Bengali paratha ): 5/5Natun gurer icecream (palm sap+ jaggery): 5/5mishit dhoi: 5/5Veg thali: with cholar daal, rice, shukto, postar wada, mishit dhoi and much more: 5/5Do check my pics and visit this place. Its just fab. I love it
This gariahat branch of bhojohori manna is quite compact with hardly few tables. mostly we have to wait to get a place. it's all about bong food. prices are a little steep but their quality and taste of food is great. i am a fish lover so i love their fish dishes like fish fry, jumbo pabda, ilish sorshe etc . they serve really fresh and selected fish. highly recommend for bengali authentic food.
Very good atmosphere. Near Basanti devi college. The food quality is too good. Very good service. Tasty food. Restrurent is full ac. U must go there. Bengali items are very delicious
U can guess the cuisine they serve by the name of the restraunt . I went to this place during Durga Puja ..and wanted to try so many dishes but could not get most of them .so I had to manage with whatever option I was left with. So I ordered Bengali pulao with chicken dackblow (if that's how it is spelt) and that 4 star is only because of the quality of the food.
Bhojohori Manna is the first restaurant which has brought back the recepies of Bengal and make it commercially viable as a venture. Kudos to them. Taste of foods in all their restaurants are same but andbience of this particular restaurant is well ahead of other Bhojohori outlets.
Loved the food served here. The hilsa mustard and chingri malai dab curry was excellent. But owing to huge rush, puri’s were not served to us from the thali we had ordered. Ambience and decor was impressive.
This place with an amazing soothing ambience serves a wide range authentic bengali dishes. From skhuto to muri ghonto every dishes here tastes like made of moms hand. Dabh chingri n misti pulao of this place is just finger-licking good.
if you want to taste authentic bengali cuisines then this is the place for you.. the dhaka style biriyami was different fromthe regular biriyani and the pabda macher jhaal was just too awesome and mutton dukbunglow was so tasty that the taste still lingers in my mouth.. to know more check out my youtube video..
This is one of the most loved authentic bengali food restro in kolkata . Muri ghonto was so good that I could barely differentiate between that and homemade. If u order chitol peti .. be prepared to get intimidated by the magnitude . Posto r bora is another must must try here.
Visited this place for a traditional bengali lunch. Totally satisfied with the serving, food and compactness. If you are a true bengali or bengali dish lover then surely try this one. You never gonna regret. First of all the bengali pulao was way too good. Next the dab chingri was awesome and it was so pretty that was served in a baby coconut. The main attraction was the ILISH i. e. HILSA which was totally outstanding dish. Taste was great. Big sized hilsa coocked with poppy seeds and with bengali mustard oil touch just made it gem of a dish. Ambiance was cool and compact. Staffs were well behaved. Loved this place. Surely gonna visit again.
Good place to try out benagli food. But needs so improvement with the service time. Some food on the menu are always not available. Need to increase their seating capability .But good food basically I'm in love wit their crab .
A small cozy place on Hindustan Road where the table for two has just enough space for your plates...no space for your order. This aside the food captures the authentic taste of Bengal. The Bhetki Rongpuri fry is a popular must try. The chicken and mutton dishes be it curries or fries are all delicious. And by popular demand there is a choice of kebabs too though these are not real Bengali cuisine. There is a good variety of desserts but available are the common ones mishti doi or roshmalai.
Bhojhori manna requires no special introduction in the culinary world. It has always been the Queen of Bengali restaurants. So on a rainy afternoon we set our destination here to try out the lip smacking Bengali food. Firstly we ordered steamed rice ( shada bhaat), moong dal ( flavorsome pulse having a rich texture) , aloo posto ( small and succulent pieces of potato cooked with poppy seeds), mochar chop( banana flower fritters), bhetki macher paturi ( boneless bhetki fish slathered in a generous mustard spread and steamed in a banana leaf till perfection) and kosha mangsho( rich gravy of mutton pieces). The food quality has never disappointed me. It has always been very fresh and tasty although the portion size can be increased a little bit considering the value for money.
We ordered Bhetki Fry, Fish-Prawn Roll, Fish Elish biryani and Prawns Biryani, My experience was very good and I absolutely loved every single thing. First came day’s special Fish-prawn rolls, fish and prawn were minced and marinated and filled in battered roll deep fried served with mustard and salad, well done and nicely cooked and crispy from outside and moist, juicy from the inside. Next came is our Bhetki fry, small and long fish fried in spicy batter served with spicy house sauce which was my favorite of the all courses. This dish is a must try. Our main course was two different types of biryani, Elish and prawns biryani. Both biryani had decent amount of quantity to serve four-five people. Fish biryani was good and aromatic. Two chunks of Elish cooked and broth was used to cook the rice with other condiments, topped with fried onions, what more could you ask for? Likewise prawns biryani was lip-smacking. Two medium size prawns were cooked with the rice which went very well with the rice. The way everything was cooked, I was very impressed. Definitely recommended.
Brilliant food , excellent preparation and my favorite destination. I love going there. Favourites to name Chingrir malaikari, ilish barishali, tel koi, mutton kasha , kakrar jhal etc
The name doesn't need much introduction. The restaurant has been known since eternity for serving one of the best Bengali foods in kolkata. But as people say, it's quality has degraded in the recent past. Still, it won't disappoint you. It has a lovely ambience and the taste of food is much above average. It seems a bit overpriced. And the sitting area is really small and people have to wait for getting seats during the peak hours. If you really wanna taste authentic Bengali foods, do give a visit to this place, it's not gonna disappoint you. The Bengali thalis are really good.

If you want authentic Bengali Food this is the place. Order a Vegetarian Mini Thali and keep adding Non Vegetarian on it. Especially Fish items. If you are there don’t miss Posto Bora, Mochar Ghonto and Betki Pathuri (small ones). Lastly don’t forget to have Fresh Lime Soda you will really be amazed.
After a long time I ate a proper four course meal without a hint of guilt or worry about indigestion.
The taste was delicious with a big D.. Lip-smacking.. tasty.. Fabulous.. and all kinds of adjective adheres to it.
My favorites being Chhanar Dalna, Dhokar Dalna, Potoler Dolma, Mochar Chop, Bhapa Ilish, Daab Chingri, Mutton Dakbangla and Aam Doi.
I am truly in love with Bengali cuisine once again.
The quality and quantity of the food is sure to impress you.
Had my first experience of this chain and it did not let down. I had been craving mocha and the ghanto was just as good as any home preparation made with care. Dhoka dalna was okay, not extraordinary. Chingri malai curry was tasty with a good balance of flavours and not over spiced. The three dishes make a good typically Bengali menu, for those who are uninitiated.
This was my 2nd time here, and it was chosen because it is one of the best places for bengali cuisine,
We ordered bhetki kabiraji, sarse ilish, rice and baked rasogolla
Bhetki kabiraji was awesome
baked rasogolla was nice but overpriced
Sarse ilish was ok.
This place is a little costly but quality, taste and service will make up for it.
Worth visiting anytime, everytime.
Bhojohori Manna Needs No Introduction! It Serves Decent Quality Bengali Good At Moderate Price.

7) Notun Gurer Ice Cream :- The Ice Cream Was Really Good. They Served Two Scoops And Garnished With Jaggery Syrup. A Bit Costly, But Worth It.

Cheers!
a great place for bengali food. even if you want some simple rice dal and aloo bhaja.. this place is your mark. affordable and great food quality.. the chingri malai is a must try of this place.
very good fish quality . though a bit overpriced. the taste of the gravy was good aswell. koi size was literally jumbo
Awesome. Real authentic bengali food. Nice and simple. Its like you are eating at home. Great for bengali food lovers. I ordered the non veg thali it was amazing.
It's a wonderful place for all Bengali cuisine lovers !! The ambience is simple & decent, with the soft Bengali songs being played, adding to the Bengali feel. The waiters are very courteous & service is super-fast.
Now, coming to the food -
1)Mochar ghonto - Well made, good quantity and really good to taste.Give it a try ! (4.5/5)
2)Machher matha diye dal - With the right flavour & correct amount of sweetness, this was a joy to have.Completely doing justice to it's authentic taste.(5/5)
3)Mutton dakbangla (with egg) - The curry taste was splendid but the quantity wasn't good(just 3 pieces of mutton given, that too mostly consisted of bone).. But it was delicious to taste. (3.5/5)
4) Bhetki Paturi - Probably the best dish of the place, beautifully cooked, with the right amount of ingredients, having a sensational feel on the taste buds.Yes,it's expensive but completely worth it.MUST TRY !!
(5/5)
5)Steamed rice - Good quality & well cooked.
6)Misti Doi - Extremely delicious but the quantity was way too less which was disappointing(3.5/5)
7)Malpoa - Lovely !! One of the best I've had in Kolkata.Don't miss out on this !! (5/5)
Overall, the food is extremely delicious and completely satisfying. It does complete justice to the authentic Bengali dishes, with the right amount of flavour. But yes, it's kind of a bit expensive with respect to the quantity served.
Give it a visit if typical Bengali cuisine is what you crave !! :)
This place is located near Gariahat. A wonderful place to have Bengali cuisines. Staffs are courteous as well. Good ambience for family dining. Let's come to the food. We have tried shukto which was 3/5, rice and pulao (4/5), muri ghanta, bhetki paturi (5/5), crab curry (5/5), Daab chingri (4/5). I must say if you have an average appetite this place is fine but if it's is a bit more than average then you might be a bit disappointed due to less in quantity in almost all the dishes. Taste wise no complains.
The Quality of food is too good and authentic .. so is the service, needs slight improvement on the ambience and it will be a perfect place for dining
Neat joint for good bengali food for the price offered. Enjoyed bhejti kalia, kaviraj mutton cutlet, bhetki kabiraj loochi mangsho. Overall a good outing and dinner. Quite many items were out of stock, sold out
The place is really nice. The foods we ordered were just too good. The butter nun was really soft and the tandoori laccha parata was really good. The chicken and the mutton dishes were also really good. The mutton dakbangla and chicken makhmali was really taisty, loved them. The prices were also reasonable. So to be true the place is really good for bengali cuisine. Worth trying.
If you’re not so concerned about the decor or atmosphere then this place is for the Bengali food lovers! Food was absolutely priceless, super tasty and so wholesome. Simply brilliant, excellent and fantastic. Highly recommend Bengali restaurant! It beats its competitors such as Kasturi by a million miles. Bhojohori Manna has achieved a long history of auspicious food awards since 2013, such as The Times of India Food Awards. They are now successfully celebrating their 20 year anniversary. Let’s hope they continue to serve such moreish tasty food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Y'all must try this bhetki fish fry. We had a very refreshing doi er ghol, basanti pulao (3 plates for 4 adults), chicken korma (1 for 1), mutton kosha (1 for 1), chicken kosha (1 for 1), chingri malaicurry (1 for 1) and jhuro aloo bhaja. All of this was so delicious that we were barely left with time to click pictures.
One of the best bengali food restaurants in the city, clean hygienic and most importantly taste is authentic. Like most of the outlets this outlet too has the same vibe. Must visits if one is looking for some bengali delicacy at reasonable prices.
Uff the taste of authentic Bengali cuisine was finger licking good 🤤😍.
I went there with my friends to give them my birthday treat.
MENU :)
Polao 10/10,
Sada vat ( basmoti rice 🍚😌),
Mutton kosha 9/10 ( Jive jol asche Bhai 🤤),
Chicken kosha (perfect balance between spice and sweetness) 😀
Dal of the day (motorsuti diye mugdal) 😋,
Chutney of the day ( khejur er chatni)🙇🏼,
Aam er chutney 7/10 😃
Alu bhaja ( quantity is enough for 2 people)🫂,
Bhetki fish fingers (8/10) 🙂
Go ahead and enjoy your meal vai 🥹😍
Note :- every meal on their menu will not be available for every day.
'_' Be ready to hear from them that a particular dish is not for u as if -.."NO that's not available or sesh hoye geche" and then you'll figure out which family is sitting beside your table ( they came later) will get THAT PERTICULAR DISH on their table served by them.
But I personally love the quality of their food so despite being humiliation I will go there to eat that 😆
Now you know what to do.
Delicious tasty Bengali foods. The taste of Bangla ...nice management and good experiences staffs. Overall a good place to have authentic bengali food. I had a small B'day party organised for my son here and booked the entire place of 50 seats capacity here. Had a good overall experience.
Got the chance to try out Indigenous Bengali cuisine from this beautiful restaurant. The foods were mixture of both sweet and savory.
We ordered Rice, Aloo Posto, Bhetki Paturi, Chingri Cutlet, Maccher Chop, Dal( Begali style - forgot the name), Dim curry and Misti Doi.
It was a wholesome lunch I would say. We started digging in with the Chingri cutlet and Maccher Chop. They were Crispy and toothsome. I loved both.
It was time for main course, had rice with dal, crispy fried potato( Jhuri Aloo Bhaja), Aloo posto, Dim curry and Bhetki Paturi. Bengali style Dal was new to my tastebuds. It was lustrous and had coconut bits in it( which I liked). Squeezing lemon to the dal enhanced the flavour.
Aloo Posto was another authentic Bengali dish, which was different again.
Bhetki paturi is a must try food for fish lovers. Initially, I found the bhetki( my first bhetki experience) little smelly, but got used to it with my second bite. I loved the taste of kasundi in it.
Coming to Misti Doi, I have eaten misti Doi before in packed plastic container. Finally, I had the privilege to try in it's original form i.e the Matkawala.
The place was peaceful and well maintained. Staffs were cordial and swift. Totally satisfied with the food and services provided.
If u r new to Kolkata and looking out for authentic Bengali cuisine, then this is the place.
One of the best places in Calcutta to taste authentic Bengali foods. Very reasonably priced with convenient location.
If you want to taste traditional bengali cuisine bhojohori manna is one of the best in city. Food was hot and tasty. Nothing to complain. Place could be little more beautiful with the addition of proper lighting and artifacts.
Just loved the place. We were dying with hunger and this place came as a rescuer. Even though it was 5 at the evening which was already too late they served us whole heartedly.
The items were delicious and the hygiene was also maintained. The rate is a bit high but the food worth every pennies of it. The fish items deserve special mention. If you are near this place and thinking for a quick bite then this place is good to go.
Bhojohori Manna is an exceptional restaurant that truly captures the essence of Bengali cuisine. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that sets the perfect mood for a delightful dining experience.
The menu boasts an extensive array of traditional Bengali dishes, each meticulously prepared to perfection. The flavors are rich and authentic, taking your taste buds on a culinary journey through the diverse regions of Bengal. Whether you’re a fan of fish, meat, or vegetarian options, Bhojohori Manna has something to satisfy every palate.
Had a really good time here. Been wanting to try good Bengali food. Everything served was tasty and rich. Tried Bhetki roll, Ilish Bhapa, Mutton Dhakbangla, with some rice and naan, and mishti dhoi to round it of. Quantities are small. Id say one main dish per person. The prices are high, but if you consider how rich everything is ( Bhetki roll is a starter which is a boneless piece of Bhetki fish stuffed with a dry shrimp curry, rolled and batter fried. I mean come on) it felt justified ro me. Good service, pleasant inside. I now intend to home order copiously from this place.

I had taken my friends Delhi, visiting Calcutta for authentic Bengali cuisine.
I had both Veg and Non Vegetarian friends.
The items chose were Channar Dalna, Dhokar Dalna for the Veg friend.
Behtki Paturi, Mutton Boneless Korma,Amsatya Khajur Chutney and for Dessert it was Patisapta,Lengcha and Gurer sandesh along with Sweet and Sour Sweet Lime juice
Am so glad that each item was relished and much appreciated.
Although some of the menu choices were not available we enjoyed our meal here as always. We started with a delicious prawn cutlet (must try) and then we ate plain white rice, moong-masoor daal, alu bhaja (they didn't have their mochar chop or vegetable chop today which is generally awesome), bhetki paturi and then we wanted to have murgi jhol but instead had to opt for chicken dakbunglow since the murgi jhol was not available. We didn't pick any dessert today but from past experience they have good desserts to try. Tip: if you are opting for a chicken dakbunglow or mutton dakbunglow then go for Basanti Pulao (they are well known for it) and please do try the prawn cutlet (I'm sure you have had your fair share of normal fish fries)
One of the most Popular Bengali cusine in the city and now it has opened up many branches in other cities too. They cook real authentic Bengali food. Their fish fries are must try . Staffs are very happy to help you with all kind of information about the foods. One thing I didn't like about the portion they give it has to increased abit if I take one full plate it's not sufficient for two persons. Their chanr danla is amazing. And Sukto is just perfect. As a beverage you must try their rupasibangla a mocktail made with gandhraj lemon . And of course nolen gurer ice cream should be there for the desert without a miss.
Its get open by 12 noon and on till 11.00 night . Lovely ambiance and decorations. I love their Bhojohori Manna painting .
You can reach the restaurant easily by getting at gariahat more and walk down the lanes next to sreeniketan . Nearest landmark is Murlidhar Girls school and or Hindustan club puja .
