This would ideally have been a 4.5 on the old scale. Their preparations were awesome. I really liked their burnt garlic prawns. Overall all the Chinese preparations were very good. Have been there many times and my orders been kinda same with Baansa Pora Mutton, Jaddoh Rice, Shoru Chakli and Voska Meh. All the items tasted perfectly and Voska Meh was something else. Try this and youll be hooked to it.

I have been to this place before and i visited again day before yesterday. They kept their standard of food quality and quantity. Staffs were polite and well behaved and most importantly they were following PROPER safety protocols for covid19.

Went to this amazing Tribal & Sea- food themed Restaurant today! The food is to die for!
We had :
▪ Bhetki Fish cooked in Bamboo trunk for 12hours with Shoru Chakli
▪ Crab in Lemongrass & Chilli Oyster Sauce.
▪ Mushroom Fried Rice
▪Honey Glazed Squid
▪ Prawn Kheer. Yes! You heard it right! (No there was no weird odour. Actually tasted way better and creamier than normal kheer :3)
I'm in awe of the varities of dishes they have! And even in this pandemic they served quality fresh food which tastes absolutely delicious. Trust me I have never tasted food this good!
They are taking all safety measures required, from temperatures checking to hand sanitization.. They even sanitized our feet before we entered their restaurant. Social distancing was maintained in the seat arrangements.. All the cutlery were kept in a sanitizer chamber and was provided to us from there. They also provided sanitizer sachets. Our fried rice was a bit undercooked for the first time they served but changed immediately without a question after letting them know and cooked again freshly for us. The decoration is absolutely beautiful. One part was like an underwater scenery another part had a tribal theme.
I cant wait to visit this place again! ❤

Tried squid for the first time here and it was great. Well cooked. Also , they offer varieties of rice and you should go and try them. Its worth the money. Very reasonable and also the restaurant location is great
Well well well. What should I write when you need to feel the experience in order feel full . It's one of the finest restaurants I have ever explored in my recent days and I must say this , that it's worth every penny.

Santas Fantasea has always been my favourite and during this COVID 19 situation the most important aspect that is 'sanitisation' has been maintained very properly and with perfection.

One of the famous restaurant brand of kolkata . They specialise in sea food and tribal cuisine.
In this branch ,they are maintaining proper sanitation procedures. When you will go there ,first they will ask you to sanitize your hands , then temperature checkup will be done at the entrance. Then before entering , they will spray sanitizer on your shoes and on your backpack (if you are carrying one).
When you will enter dining area, it's all blue around you. Kind of a underwater vibes will come across your mind . Painted marmaid on the wall , hanging shells and wooden fish etc makes place look lovely. Then comes the tribal section of the restaurant, which is decorated with tribal Graffiti, crafts and beautiful tribal pictures framed on the wall and Terracotta paintings on the ceiling . The hanging beautiful lanterns are very pleasing to your eyes with the Terracotta painted ceiling. Overall the ambiance is very beautiful . The tribal theme of the place perfectly complements the served food . When we visited the place , we took honey glazed octopus (seafood) and wild red rice(tribal cuisine).
Honey glazed octopus:
The sauce (Honey ginger and chilly flakes, sweat and spicy sauce) was very tasty and dense . Small Octopuses present in it were very crispy and delicious but the heads of the larger ones were smelling quite bad.
Wild red rice(Mizoram):
It was very tasty with very unique spicy flavour .
The Safety procedure was maintained.
Thermal checks were done and santization was done properly.
The ambience was really nice with including the wall arts which describe the tribal culture and another part of it creates the ambience of under water sea.
The food was really nice except the fact that the honey octopus in which the small hands were quite exquisite but the big pieces needed more and thorougg boiling. Otherwise the dine out was really nice.
It is located near baishakhi ,salt lake.

Had a great experience at the outlet. All safety and sanitization protocols are being followed strictly. Guests are sanitized thoroughly while entering, including their footwear. All crockeries, cutleries and other equipments are sanitized in a specially installed sanitization chamber.
We went to this lovely restaurant after lockdown and we were really afraid about the restaurant situations and norms. But we were warmly welcomed here and were sanitized properly before entering. The staffs were courteous through out the dining. The bamboo starters are must have. The food were really good in affordable price. Worth a visit..

My first visit to this place and first ever restaurant visit after this lockdown and during this corona pandemic. Both me and my boyfriend was little hesitant to enter a public place but we were kind off helpless. But once we stepped in, I were little relaxed. So first the staffs in the gate sanitized us thoroughly and checked our temperature and then allowed us to to enter the restaurant premises. The restaurant was neat and clean and moreover they had an UV Ray machine were they put all the utensils to kill the germs. They almost had every menu available like the normal time. We tried Bansh-pora chicken with Soru Chakli (Authentic Odhia Dish) as a starter and Honey-glazed Octopus with Korean rice as our main course. And I must say, the food was delicious and both the taste and quality was mind blowing. Also, the quality of Octopus was really good, fresh and fleshy. Moreover, as our total bill was more than 1K,so they offer as a complimentary dish (anything as per our choice) however as we were totally full, we just took a soft drink. So, nice food, hygienic ambience and well mannered staff. Definitely deserves a 5 rating

5 min walk from Baisakhi .
Ambiance- the moment you step inside this property ,you are sure to get see a beautiful ambiance,filled with artwork and tribal paintings on the wall. It has a huge seating arrangement. The vibe is really amazing. This place isn't generally overcrowded.
Staff- extremely courteous and the service is really swift. You can take help of the staff if you don't understand a particular dish. They are readily available to help their customers choose the right dish.
Dishes I tried-
• Kung Pao crab- medium sized crabs were served. The crab preparation was a bit spicy . But overall enjoyed it a lot. The crab meat wasn't served separately so you need to dig in and get your hands to use.
•honey glazed octopus - This preparation tasted sweet . The octopus was cooked very properly and the dish overall went very well with the rice.
•malaka fried rice - very unique fried rice. Had a earthen smell and the taste was quiet different. Went very well with the honey glazed octopus .
•sanghai squid - the squid was really cooked properly. The taste was amazing and it wasn't really spicy. The onion and the bell pepper added the much needed crunch to the dish.
The quantity was amazing. It was really a wholesome meal. Loved each and every preparation. The prices are on the higher side but I would completely recommend this place because the food is worth the money.

Kerala mutton soup : Creamy in texture, taste is very unique and awesome .
Sanghai crab & hot garlic crab : Both dishes are spicy and truly delightful.
Egg chicken noodles : is very average in taste.
Ambiance of "Santa's fantasea" is so beautiful with very good behaviour. Taste of food is also good. We tried Octopus and Lobster. Both were fresh and mouth watering. I Must say about the wonderful complimentary tribal style drink. Highly recommended this place.
It's a cosy place to dine with family. The food is a 5 star! The octopus was the highlight of the meal. It was clean and didn't have that fishy smell, the squid was a delight. The bamboo biryani was aromatic and flavourful. The staff were all very hospitable. All in all it was a great experience!

The lobster festival is going on right now but I knew that I wouldn't have that huge portion so didn't go for lobsters. They welcomed us by a drink that was made of rice.
We tried -
1. Bansh pora mutton - as usual this was our anytime favourite. But it was feeling less salty, they could have added more salt. Hence we added salt, vinegar and a little black pepper. God it tasted like heaven then!
2. Malaysian rice - rice made of Korean chili paste and full of seafood, mainly squids. Delicious !
3. Bok choy delight octopus - now this was the thing I absolutely loved. The other times whenever we had octopus here, we went for spicy and pungent options. So I was a little hesitant at first. But I absolutely loved it. Bok choy flavour gives a really delicious sweetness yet a spicy aftertaste.

Its a very unique restaurant offering you tribal food. The food quality is awesome. The best tribal dishes to try are soru chakli, bash pora mutton, jadoh. Also you can have sea food like squid and octopus. Sea food dishes are also awesome. The people over there are helpful in suggesting food items.
I've been here to this place twice and I really liked the ambience and the food. It has a great range of tribal and sea food and also has items like bamboo biriyani, which we tried and felt was really good. We tried the Wine Chilli Octopus, Bamboo Biriyani, Shanghai Squid and Honey Chilli Sesame Fish. The Shanghai Squid is a must try for anyone visiting. It is the best squid item I've had in quite a while. Overall a good experience. However I do feel that the place is a bit small considering where it is located.
If you a sea food lover then please visit this restaurant. This is highly recommend restaurant for food lover. Try pomfret fish. Food is also delicious and fresh. Their service is also very good. Affordable price.
I have visited this place many times and this is one of my favourite seafood restaurants. Yesterday, I went again for lunch. At first they gave welcome drinks. Ordered Shanghai Squid, Smoked Fish and Korean Rice. Every dish had their unique taste and they were well cooked. Not much spicy. The service was good. Being a Sea Food and Tribal Cuisine restaurant, it has both the Tribal and Marine themed interior well balanced. I will definitely suggest others this place for trying sea foods and tribal delicacies.

The Baans Pora Chicken was ok ... Just boneless chicken with a smoky flavour.
The Baans Pora Biriyani was biriyani with smoky flavour but the taste of biriyani could have been better.
The Jhupu Pisi's Mutton, a Nagaland tribal dish, tasted more like Chinese..and the mutton was not well cooked either.
The Prawn Kheer was something new and was kind of perfect.
Went there once long back in 2016 and remember a different taste of Jhupu Pisi's Mutton. And, that time taste of food was much better compared to now.

Stuffed Squid- This healthy fusion tribal delicacy, is prepared with squid cubes stuffed with chicken, onion, fresh ginger, chopped garlic, green chilli, all steamed together for an exquisite touch of flavour.
Prawn Wrapped with Chicken - Marinated with Santa's Fantasea chef's special spices, the chicken filet are wrapped around freshly steamed tiger prawns and baked together to make a unique mouth watering combination.
Honey Lemon Prawn- This simple yet enchanting dish is prepared with a few ingredients. Tiger prawn, honey, freshly oozed lemon juice, amalgamates with green chilli, sesame seeds and coconut powder to give it an oceanic pleasure.
Pot Rice- When the chef himself picks the assorted herbs to cook Rice with mushroom and chicken bits in a single small pot to offer the tribal aromatic uniqueness, it only happens in Santa's Fantasea.
