I went there today for christmas lunch and ordered the Shahi Chicken Biryani. The biryani was light. The taste was different but really good. It has dry fruits. The quantity they provide is very less. One pot is enough for only one people. The price is bit high compared to the quantity they provide.
A must visit if you're a fan of Indian cuisine, the Reshmi Kebab is a must have over here (accompanied by the addictive red onions), coupled with the Pindi Chana, it's the best Indian meal you'l have when in Kolkata.
Also, its historical, opened in 1954, its the oldest restaurant in Park Street.
I really appreciate the ambience & food quality & food quantity. All of the staffs are at least 25 years of experience so they know how to make a normal customer to a most valued customer. I never get such kind of soft chicken tandoori. The crowd of this restaurant really maintain the class. Thanks.
Recently I visited this restaurant located very conveniently at Park street. They serve all cuisines and in addition to that, they sport a bar with all kinds of luxuries. The decor is pretty ordinary yet surprsingly decent, one that makes you go gaga over food and beverages. I tried the continental cuisine in which I had fish and chips, cream of chicken soup and grilled chicken, each of which were cooked to perfection. In the dessert I tried vanilla ice cream with hot chocolate sauce, which was amazing as well. Ah what a lovely evening spent over amazing food and an aesthetically appealing décor! Looking forward to visiting them again😍
This place is quiet nice bt i won't say the best in park street bt better than many...the one main limitation of the resturant is that the menu is too limited the variation of the items are not up to the mark may it be continental or italian or seafood...the sandwiches tastes good bt the amount is insufficient according to the price....even they have a separate section named as our specialities which is the desert section, i tried triple sundae bt was dissapointed as they seeved just 3 scoops of icecream nd priced it as rs.250 not worthy...staffs are cordial
Didn't like the food...and also price is really high...only two good things for the restaurant is the staffs and the ambience...but with that much higher price you can get a better ambience also in other places...
The name says it! You get quality food for sure. Located in Park Street, this restaurant could be among the best for family or business dining.
Well one more of an authentic cuisine in the charming Park Street Area. food not as expensive as the other typical Park Street places.Food quality and ambience is average.
The chana pindi served here is the BEST ... overall everything is good and always a nice eating experience... it’s just that you feel little bloated the next morning...
I went there on last Christmas and had their famous chicken sizzler which was amazing...one must try their golden fried prawn which is something to die for and also had the pineapple punch that was too good
Food was good, so was the ambience. Liked the hygiene as well as the service. Nice place to be at with family.
P.S: Do not miss out on the chicken tetrazzini!
The Restaurant is very clean having a nice atmosphere .
They have maintained their quality food for quite long time.
The Mughlai section is very good along with their friendly staffs. Located at the town of park street which can be tried.. Thank You
the food is amazing. the must try i will day is their sizzler.. the mutton liver is just awsome. the decor us nice but the leg space is very little. the drawback is mainly the restauramt is big enough with only one washroom. thats kind of wierd
Another legendary restuarant located just beside the Oxford Book Store in Park Street. Tried the prawn cocktail. This is something different and I have not tried before. This dish is basically made with boiled prawns topped with mayo and butter. I quite liked it! 😊 For main course we had jeera rice, peas rice and two different kinds of mughlai chicken dishes. For desserts had tuti fruity ice cream.
Very nice place to have lunch and dinner. Luxurious sitting space and very sophisticated ambience. Staff is good but service can be improved. Amount of serving is less than expected but quality is good.
A very good and a cosy community. A very good place to hangout with friends and families. I just love this place. Been there and love the dishes so much especially chicken bharta with roomali roti is the famous out there with tooty fruity.
I have been visiting this restaurant since childhood. I have my favourites that I have been so for years and still is my absolute favourite. No matter where I am in the world, there is nothing like Kwality cause it takes me back memory lane. My all time favourites have been fried kulcha, chicken bharta, Chana, chicken roast, chilli chicken, cream of chicken soup and the chocolate sundae with extra chocolate sauce!!!yumm!!
Since it was Sunday, it was a little crowded. The customer service was really good in the midst of so much rush. The food was equally good. We ordered north Indian food. The best thing that I came across was the pineapple raita. It was cherry on the top. However when it comes to the ambience some parts of the restaurants were not lighted properly. But, on the whole it was great experience!
A perfect place for a family dining or with your colleague. The decor of this place is quite simple and classy. The food was Okayish.Service was good. The place was a bit crowded but still they served us well.
Probably a 4 star because the Quantity is much lesser compared to the amount but serving quality food as the name suggests... Even the drinks are also superb and polite staffs
A wholesome non-vegetarian lunch at Kwality is a waah waah for every food lover.
Platter : Tandoori chicken kebab, Prawn Tandoori, Chicken Fried Rice & Chilly Chicken
Restaurant : Kwality
Location : Park Street, Kolkata
Rating : 4.2/5
Starters to Main Course you can rely on Kwality for their quality food and authentic price.
Juicy tender chicken tandoori kebab and prawn tandoori kebab kickstarts a burst of spices yet not so spicy taste. If you are a rice person then order Chicken Fried Rice along with Dry Chilly Chicken.
Park street is famous for Christmas and all the restaurants situated there. Kwality is one of those. It has a nice ambience. Went there with my family. The food was good. Service was good. The place was a bit crowded but still they served us well.
The staff is very friendly, the ambience is quite friendly, service is quite fast, quality of food is good.Location wise full value for money. Overall a very good family restaurant along with drinks.
Been here many a times...I love this place ..The main attractive dishes here are the chole and caramel custard. Dal makhani is also very tasty here. It's not so economical but definitely worth the price you give..Never tried the chinese over here but the north indian is too good over here.
I’m so glad, we went to Kwality for lunch today. The quality and taste of Indian food was fantastic. The Pindi Channa, Tawa Chicken and Palak Paneer. Indian Breads were amazing too. Loved the Tutti frutti as well. Great service and value for money
Had visited Kolkata for a small mini vacation. This place was recommended as must try.
Menu
Veg chow mien - The dish was very lite and just like how it would be when made at home. Less oil, good quantity, amazing taste
Aloo mutter
Peas rice - the rice was cooked appropriately
Raita(mixed) - it was cold and just served the purpose right
The hotel is in central location and ambience is very good. The service was quick and staff was very courteous
Since I from Chennai , I felt the cost of a restaurant located in posh location was very cheap
A lovely place in the heart of park street and the old delicacy is ingrained in nook and corner of the place..💕
A perfect place for a family dining 😇
The quality as well as the quantity serves perfectly👌
The food was awesome in short and so was the behaviour of the staffs 👍
We had ordered Chicken Reshmi Masala, Fish Finger and Fish Malai Kebab as starters and the latter was the best😋
We had ordered blue lagoon mocktail too🍹
In the main course we had garlic nun( unfortunately it was devoid of salt 😂), butter nun, tandoori roti, chicken fried rice, chicken hyderabadi, murg bharta and a preparation of mutton too (i forgot the name, it had six pieces)..
Chicken Hyderabadi was the winner😘 and to be honest I personally didnt like the super creamy flavour of murg bharta there😌
North Indian Cuisine stands out compared to anything else. Chicken Tandoori and Kebabs are a must try. Just like a few other reviewers I would also recommend daal Makhani!

Very neat of a place. But the ambiance is a little too formal, not casual for a Saturday night. The vegetarian dishes are delightful, non veg at par.
They do not serve Bira. :(
Its always a cheer delight having notth indian food in this restaurant!
Ambience is not do great but has a feelin of okd and rustic. Some places looks best with the old look. Nuthin fancy but its neat and clean.
Food is simply amazing!!
Its cheese ball, samosas and pindi chana is to die for!!
Absolutely love this place
I really like this restaurant. My first dining out in park street area as a kid began with this place. So it has an immense nostalgic value for me. Park Street once used to be the food street of the city but with time things have changed and people prefer to go to malls these days where they can watch a movie, do some shopping followed by dining all under one roof. And parking your vehicle is not an issue. But these kinda places I still hold close to my heart where we go with family and friends just for the feel of the 90's.
Had ordered -
¤Bloody Mary-very well prepared
¤Whiskey Collins-tasted yummy and had the zing
¤Chicken Sizzler -loved it
¤Mughlai Biriyani-cooked to perfection
¤Chicken Reshmi Butter Masala-was a sheer delight
Old world charm.
Quality of food is intact.
Good food and even better service.
Chicken, omelette and hot ginger drink were great.
Much better than their delhi counterpart.
All the best!
Food was good and decent pricing...Being a very old restaurent they have maintained the quality of food...if you visit park street and you crave for a good meal without burning a hole in the pocket, kwality is the place
This place serves fabulous north Indian food. I ordered for Paneer Butter Masala and chhola. Both were great. Pineapple punch is drink u must try. A little overcrowded always, may be being on Park street!
Have visited both the Park Street and Ballygunge Phari outlets. The food is very good.Chicken Roast is provided with mashed potato,my favourite. But the only thing that I have even if am full is the Tutti-Frutti.Keep up the good work.

Any Calcuttan who has been around, Kwality restaurant on Park Street needs no introduction. It is over 50 years old and has been serving homely North Indian food, along with a selection of typical Calcutta Continental favourites.
Their a-la-carte selection of kebabs, main courses and rice dishes (excluding breads) is a compact 40-odd dishes, though this is supplemented every day by a choice called Today's Specials which will have another dozen or so kebabs and main course options.
Their trademark dish, a signature item, is a homely one called Pindi Chana.
Brain Masala is another item of choice for me at Kwality.
Chicken Afghani Masala is not on their a-la-carte menu but you are likely to find it on their Today's Specials card at fairly regular intervals.
Usually crowded in weekends. Wait time is around 20-30 mins. Service is good and staff behaviour is polite
Veg Sizzler's vegetable which is sent in a separate box didn't taste good, appears vegetables cut or boiled a day before had been sent. Other than that sizzler was fairly well prepared and was less as had been requested.

I have been eating at kwality ever since I was a kid and I have always loved their food.
The food is really good and so is the quantity they serve.
The restaurant is quite spacious.
Their serve is very quick and efficient
You have full Bar available here. And the price is reasonable.
I would say its a decent restaurant to go and have lunch or dinner with family and friends.

Place: Kwality
Food: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Ambiance: 5/5
Overall: 5/5
I had a wonderful time here and the ambience of the restaurant made the visit worthwhile .I had tandoori platter which was a range of different vegetables cooked in tandoori and I also had fried rice which was okay , the manchurian was a bit sweet for me it should have been a bit spicy . The mix veg , paneer , masala kulcha and naan were good . The service staff were professional and friendly at the same time .
It is situated beside Oxford outlet. I've visited there in 25th evening. It's too late to post a review though. Firstly I liked the privacy and the low light ambience. And about their food, we ordered red wine nd then biriyani and side dish of🤔(I forgot which one 😂). It's taste was really good and the quantity of the food is appropriate with it's price. According to me it is totally a pocket friendly place to go for a dinner.
the food was delivered fast and ws hot
Old is gold... Awesome food.... Went there after a decade.. But still the same food... To start with tandoori chicken... Pan fried fish.. Then butter nan.. Masala kulcha... Paneer butter masala... Channa pindi.... Dal makhani... Balti meat.. Brain masala ...caramel custard... Tutti frutti ice cream... Fresh lime soda... Pink lemonade... All time favorite... This place has not changed...
I used to went there during my college days along with friends.they have been serving a good quality and quantity of food for an ages. All the dishes I tasted was enough to satisfy your taste buds
Ambience : Nice and spacious
Food : Sizzlers were awesome, the pulao was well presented and prepared. The side dish was also nicely cooked. The desert was also nice.
Quality : Standard and maintained, but the quantity needs improvement.
The food is pretty decent and the place is quite spacious. Ordered the pineapple punch was was delicious. The soup was very mildly flavoured. The grilled fish was batter fried and not grilled. The sizzler was alright and the ice cream was basic. The service is good and very homely. Gives you the whole old Calcutta feel. So that’s a positive .
Went here on 31st night. So it was more special. Everything was fine except the tandoori roti. Service is prompt and courteous. Ambience is nice. Price is reasonable
Consistent and tasty Indian food with excellent service. While we stayed at the Park , we would regularly walk in for our meals. Warm and friendly waiters were a delight. Fish tikka were amazing.
This place is situated jus between bar b q n the park ..one of the famous places to be.. Though I visited this place on Christmas so I found the place extremely crowded.. It's a typical dimly lit place.. Coming to the food, the quantity is quite less compared to the price...quality is so so.. Overall an average place..
loved the ambience when I visited on christmas .food was very tasty .though a bit expensive but worth it .the waiters were cooperative .but the sweet and sour juice was totally not worth it .
The legendary restaurant at Park street. A heritage place you must visit during your stay in city of joy. The food, the old nostalgic vibes, the staff everything is outstanding. Must try their all time favourite tomato fish and chicken bharta. Sublime.
A neat and clean cosy place with a good ambience for dining in. Location wise the place is very convenient for people coming from any corner of the city. Food items are tasty, service is prompt, efficient and customer-friendly. Though the pricing of items especially the liquors served are a bit on the higher side, altogether it's value for money.
Went here for the first time after visiting Kolkata for 14 years and I can’t believe it took me so long to try Kwality. Incredible North Indian food with specials that were like nothing I’ve ever had before. Excellent service and food made with obvious care. A+
Food was nice, ambience also good. But the staffs are unprofessional and it appears in their service. We ordered mushroom and it was not available but the one who took our order didn't even inform us and said he forgot to inform. Food taste is different and quite good.
I travelled to Kolkata only for having lunch here along with my family.During my childhood While we were staying at Kolkata every weekend my father used to take us here and try their pine apple punch, chilli chicken, fried kulcha, pindi chana and tutti frutti. This is the same food we tried here on this visit. The food tasted super nice.
Kwality is less of a name and more of a brand in the Park street neighborhood. It bears the same legacy as that of a Mocambo or Peter Cat.
For the appetizers we ordered Stuffed Tangdi & Mutton Burrah Kebab. Both were FANTASTIC, and a Must try.
Main course had Chicken Tettrazini ( lips smacking), Chilly fish and Egg fried rice.
The price is wee bit on the higher side but the food quality makes up for it.
The food quality is impressive and services are prompt. This place has a certain aura of old world charm attached to it.
Most people go to this place because of nostalgia. The food is very tasty. However, the decoration and upholstery looks dated. The service is average but has a old era charm.
One of the best gastro experiences for the people of the city, it's a must try. The food might be a tad expensive, but the quality, taste and presentation is totally worth it. Do make reservations or keep some time in hand, since it is often crowded even on weekdays.
Do try the chicken seekh kabab, fish tandoor kabab and keema naan
Since we had tried Mumbai and Delhi Kwality restaurants, we had to try food at their Kolkata outlet as well. And as expected, it didn't disappoint us. Been running for more than 70 years, it had that old world charm with amazing food.
Kwality was on my go to list for a long long time. The Chole Kulche , Tomato Fish , Reshmi Butter Masala and Fish Masala Kebab are the items I'll definitely recommend.
