The place is nice, Biriyani is a bit over-hyped, I mean I have had better in that price bracket but that's subjective. The Mutton chap was good. I will give 5 stars for the "Phirni" only 💛

Food is good but not upto the mark. And service is 3rd class. I think the street food service is very good than them. Only limited item are available there every time. If you want to plan something then please mind it.

One and only pioneer hotel where ond can find variety of mogul style cuisine at the heart of Kolkata near Esplanade... They have biriani, kababs, chaps of both Mutton and chicken... Tandoori Roti along with Aminia special Mutton dish is really superb... Tastes are good and well maintained as per the tradition. But the quantity becoming less as compared to the price... Must visit place for all foodies who are interested to taste authentic Muglai cuisine...

Amazing food for sure, the Mutton Rezala, Biryani, Irani Chicken Tandoori, and the Phirni are must try. Don't expect service like fine-dining, it's all about experiencing the food and the culture.

Located in the New Market area, it's the very first restaurant of Aminia opened in Kolkata, serving authentic Mughlai / Awadhi cuisine to the gourmets of the city of joy. Established in the year 1947, it has been operating for more than 75 years now and is one of the heritage restaurants of Kolkata. This is the main outlet of Aminia which serves authentic recipes. If you have visited the other outlets which are located around the city, then you have not experienced actual flavours of Aminia. The biryani, chicken chaap, rezala and the kesar firni is a must have if you are here.

Food is still great at this heritage establishment known for its delectable Kolkata style biryani with the succulent mutton and aalu pieces, waiters on the other hand are somewhat of a nuisance, they serve the dishes you well but just wait for you, stand besides you, stare at you, to finish even though the entire restaurant (almost 20 odd tables )is empty...but I will ignore it because the biryani is good!

Good food. Amazing taste. Absolutely budget friendly. You can bring your family, your friends, your colleagues - literally everyone. Also, you can order takeaway too.

It is situated in new market area, very popular and large in size. Cabin structure is till now available for the sign of haritage of Kolkata. Food quality is good specially you can try kababs. Perfect family restaurant, with reasonable price. This is not so luxurious but comfortable.

This is an institution and a tradition for our family. The biriyani here does not compare to any other restaurant in Kolkata and is a class apart. Apart from biriyani (both chicken and mutton), the chicken chaap, aminia special and firni are the dishes to die for. Must visit if one is in Kolkata. The prices are very reasonable as well and there are AC and non-AC seating areas.

Aminia is one of my favourite go-to places to relish biryani and tandoor dishes. The place is always bustling with passionate food-lovers, as it rightly should be. It provides dine-in, takeaway as well as delivery options in addition to swift service. Apart from the popular chicken and mutton biryani, you must try their chicken tandoori, chaap and phirni. You'll hardly get disappointed.
