The best South Indian non veg food I have tried in Kolkata till date. The only issue I find is the lack of options and unavailability of basic items like Filter Coffee and tea. We tried the Mutton Olathede and Kozhi Chicken, with Appam and Malabar Paratha (must try!) both were very tasty. The condiments are also pretty tasty. We tried the onion chutney and coconut chutney. Fish in Banana Leaf is ok-ish. For dessert, their Malla Suzi Halwa is a must try.
Pocket pinch: for 4 people, it costed us 2800 INR, without tax.
Food was quite nice. I really loved the different types of spices they use to make the curries . But the mutton pieces mostly had fat in it, which took away from the otherwise delectable curry. Malabar Parantha with Mutton was amazing!
A good place for South Indian food, hefty on the budget I must say. The dosa was excellent, the banana rice set was equally good, however it could be better.
Chicken and mutton dish was superb! Would return someday, when the urge for southern taste comes to mind.
We have many South Indian restaurants in Kolkata, but Ammini is one which serves dishes specific to the Cuisine of Kerala. Owned by a Malayali (Mr. Nair), the restaurant provides an authentic Kerala gastronomic experience. The dishes are served on banana leaves and almost all utensils are earthen. Apart from the Kerala special Dosas (including the lentil-made ones), the Malabar Paratha and Kerala-style mutton combo is a must-try. Desserts like Payasam, Uniyappam are also delicious. Decoration, waiter services are pretty good. The price is bit on the higher side, but I guess not many would complain since bringing a slice of Kerala at the Heartland of Kolkata is a really commendable job on part of the owners. Wonderful experience!
It was amazing. The food were unique in taste and very tasty. Must try the mutton dry spice.
Very good service and authentic kerala food
Best for all malayalees and who love kerala food
Whatever you do, gor for the mutton and paratha and ghee roast chicken.
Finally and good scrumptious meal that will send you straight in coma
Good Food..the quantity may be bit less, but the quality was excellent.Fresh made , and good to taste !! We Bengalis have a thumb rule, if a restaurant maintains its quality during Durga Puja, then it must be one of the best in town !
Kerala style food is excellent, kozhi chicken with appam is out of the world! But there was a cockroach 🪳
We ordered via Swiggy. What was most impressive that they used enivorment friendly packaging. We opted for mutton kozhy roast and appam. The mutton dish was spicy but delicious. However the dish was a bit overpriced
Good food, take ever to serve expect the Biryanis which aroma is less compared to Arsalan which is my best part of loving Biryani
This South Kolkata gem serves up the best dosas in town – a crispy delight! Try spicy dry mutton with malabar paratha

Wow really enjoyed the food. Ordered both veg and non veg which includes mutton & chicken both. Real authentic keralian taste with amazing variety. Will love to visit again. This is probably the only place in Kolkata which offer such delicacy.
