Though Asian cuisine is not my type of cuisine but trying out this place was the best decision I took. Their Shushi preparation was amazing. The feel was world class. Amazing staff. Amazing view. Super presentation. A must visit place in kolkata. Thank you Pa Pa Ya.
One the best Asian Restaurants I've ever been to.. The food is impeccable.. Had been hearing such good things about the chain.. It was totally the worth.. Cheers to the team!

It was absolutely amazing experience to visit thsi restaurant. Courteous service and great food. Tried their:
>Spicy tuna sushi
>Cream cheese salmon
>Tuna nigiri
>Miso soup
>Veg pan fried noodles
>Wok tossed chicken in bamboo shoots.
>Crispy shrimps
>Virgin Mojito
All of the above mentioned food are highly recommended. Specially the spicy tuna sushi and pan fried noodles.
The place has a very nice ambience and a very exquisite menu. We had to order veg we were having difficulty in deciding what to order since they have a wide range of non-vegetarian dishes but the waiter suggested us the starters and the main course and the food was amazing. Their palate cleanser were amazing and innovative.
The food has varieties of flavors, texture is good, great hospitality but costlier.
If you are a dimsum lover this place is a great choice. The ambience is very good. Service is fast. We had nasi goreng and peanut crusted ikan bakar for main course. In desert we had vanilla panna cotta. Taste was really nice. They serve a yummy palate cleanser as well. This is a classy restaurant with good Asian food.
The quality and taste of the food is good. The location of the restaurant and view from it is really nice as well.
The place is located in an amazing top floor. The food was so good i love the complimentary thing. Also the dumplings were super juicy and the the best part was the Chocolate ball it was so good they server dark dark chocolate. A must visit place if you're looking for good food.

Great experience, wonderful ambience.food was nice specially the service was five star experience but the wall glass was not clean which is important to get the main attraction of the parkstreet view.
It was in my wishlist for a long time. Finally I visited the place with my fiancee for having her birthday lunch. What a fantastic experience we had! Great food, amazing hospitality and fantastic ambience! What else do you want to celebrate the day with your lady love!! Though few people might find it a bit costly but if you get such food with amazing ambience, I assure you won't mind to pay a penny more!
There refreshing drink served in a sea shell is icing on the cake. It really refreshes your taste bud so that you can enjoy every dish served to you.
I would definitely love to visit once again and would also recommend to visit the place.
If you're in Kolkata and you haven't visited Pa Pa Ya, then trust me the best is yet to be tasted!
Visited this place before lockdown. In February 2020.
Located in Magma Building in Park Street. A place with a beautiful ambience, and a beautiful view!
Coming to the food we ordered their Crispy vegetable maki, dehydrated spinach (Modern Sushi), Pad Thai noodles, Exotic mushrooms in Thai chilli oil and for the desserts we ordered Liquid hazelnut fondant cake, matcha with blueberry quenelle!
From the starters to the desserts, everything was phenomenal. Totally loved the food and the staff were also very helpful! Cheers to team Pa Pa Ya!
Can't wait to visit this place again after everything gets back normal!
For the best Asian cuisine, this is the place to be. The menu is bit expensive, but given the service, ambience and food, its totally worth it. From the dim sum menu we had chicken and chives. Rolled with rice paper, it was a true delicacy. For main course we had braised chicken and thai noodles. And for desert we had the chcolate ball. Was a complete asian cuisine experience.
Perfect place for japanese cuisine lovers.
Worth to pay for. Starting from ambience, staff, food everything was commendable

This place is perfect. Ranging from its food to ambience to staff to hospitality. Everything is on point. We went in a group of 7. We all came out with happy tummies. We ordered sushi. It is THE BEST sushi I have had. The carrot dumplings were tender and filled with a creamcheese filling. It was delicious. The lotus stem was crispy with a spicy and tangy flavour. Every dish was presented beautifully so much so that the sight makes your mouth water. Just the perfect place to be.
Pa pa ya is an amazing restaurant with great ambience.
The decor is way too classy and mesmerising.
It has different sections too.
The staffs are very courteous and friendly.
The dishes are quite innovative and exclusive too.
I really enjoyed been their.
Had a wonderful meal at Pa Pa Ya. Offering a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, they did justice to all the dishes. Loved their cocktails as well.
Excellent food, fantastic ambience and great service! Specially loved the Bailey infused ice cream 👍
Located in a Highrise with beautiful views of the city. The restaurant has two sections one with a quiet section for family dining and the other which can turn out to be a lounge with a bar. The food is also great.
The staff was very courteous and the dimsums were right on! The only disadvantage is the time restrictions, otherwise it’s a beautiful place to spend an evening.
Very good food
And beauty full ambition
Great place ,All time favourite for some good Asian food
The view is nice...u will see more of rooftops rather than greenery.interior is classy, clean with tasteful music in the background.staff is courteous n helpful.
Food portion cud have been more compared to the price being paid.
PA PA YA a modern Asian bistro, owned by renowned chef and ex MasterChef judge @Zorawar Kalra.. I had high expectations from this renowned fine-dining restaurant before my visit and definitely I was not disappointed. I visited with my family for my Mom's Birthday lunch on 16/02/2020. As it was a Sunday we made our reservation a day before.
Ambiance: The restaurant is at the 11th floor, which provides a pretty good view of the city. The ambiance and decor is outstanding, modern, luxurious yet minimal, chic, urban with a touch of earthiness. In one word it's Outstanding!!
Food: We were totally Speechless!! We went on a gastronomic journey with the Stunning, Contemporary, Innovative dishes we had. Each and every dishes were superbly plated and delicious and were made immense care. We were offered complimentary palate cleansers after every courses.
Starters- Prawn & Shitake Dumplings (Shao Mai)
Chicken & Chives Dim Sums (Chueng Fun)
Korean Chicken Baos
Main Course- Seafood Pad Thai
Fragnant Crispy Chilli Fried Rice Chicken
Wok Fried Szechuan Chicken
Desert- Chocolate Ball on Fire (This is to die for)
Palate Cleaners: Watermelon with Foam and Rambutan Fruit
Staff: You expect a lot more from the staffs of this fine dining restaurant. Few were okay and few were definitely not. Manager didn't visit our table while he visited the other tables next to us. The staffs need to be properly trained.
Verdict: The price is bit on the higher side but then why not, it's Totally Worth It!! I will definitely come back for the delicious food and the classy ambiance.
One of Legendary Restaurant Of Kolkata. This place is famous for chinese, Continental and alcohol. Their service is so fast. Visited here several time... This time ordered Mixed Fried Rice and Boneless Chilli Chicken. At the price of 240 one plate of Fried rice is easily shareable among 3. And in Chilli chicken they provides 14 moderate pieces of Chicken. Taste wise so so good.
Ambience: 5/5
Quality: 5/5
Quantity: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Value for money: 5/5

I visited yesterday with my family the ambience staff and food was great... we tried dim sums in starters which was so delicious and perfect... but then after tasting the main course it took the quality to some other level... the lamb, rice and gung pao chicken was mouthwatering and we were feeling the good taste of the food in every bite.... specially the presentation of each dish was different which took the impression of the food in a great way.... the desert chocolate ball was like the cherry on the cake.... the taste was perfect and the quality and quantity was pocket friendly.... the service was perfect by Rocky and Debopom for his assistance over the food selection. I would definitely recommend others to visit this place and to try some different way of food which your tastebuds will love....
Brilliant food. Brilliant ambiance. Fantastic service.
I tried the non-veg buffet that they offer for lunch on weekends. The food quantity was excellent and also the taste was authentic Japanese. They offer a variety of sushis and also have a sushi bar(not part of the buffet) . The service was excellent except for one guy who was very rude and arrogant. Will surely visit again !
Classy decor and yummy asian spread. I could satiate my sushi cravings here. A feel good place for family and friends.

Big names carry big responsibilities on their shoulders and fortunately PA PA YA doesn’t fall short of the expectations one might have from it. It is a venture of the renowned Delhi-born restaurateur, Zorawar Kalra .You might have seen him as a judge in Masterchef, India (Well, that’s how I came to know about him!). PA PA YA is a modern Asian bistro which has distilled the essence of authentic Asian cuisine and successfully emulsified it with the contemporary culinary culture.
What do you expect from a fine dining restaurant? Fine food, innovation, combinations that tickle your palette. Well Pa Pa Ya did check some of the boxes but not all. Maki is something of a favourite with me but the tuna Maki was a let down with the tuna being a bit chewey. The prawn and shitake shou Mai and the grilled fish dim sum were pretty good. Mains were as ok as you get across Kolkata in similar places- we had the crispy fragrant rice with seafood and the pad Thai with chicken. Sides were really good with the braised lamb chops getting a thumbs up from all of us. Kids loved the palette cleansers of litchi sorbet and watermelon in lemongrass chilli foam - mistook the dry ice for liquid nitrogen- blame it on Heston Blumenthal 😁
Located on the 11th floor of magma house at park street. They even have a valet service. Very sophisticated ambience with a terrific view. Though we didn't get a seat to enjoy that view due to the rush. The staffs were very courteous and welcoming. Now lets come to the food. We ordered grilled fish wontons, fargrant crispy chili fried rice with chicken, gung bao prawns and virgin mohito. They all tasted awesome. Pocket pinch was a bit on the higher side compared to the quantity of the food but it was worth the money. Most recommended one if you are looking a fine dining cuisine.
Great ambience, fantastic food. Pleasant staff.
Can improve on:
1. Long pauses between servings (visited evening 23/12/2019). Perhaps engaging with guests and proposing the right combinations taking into account their choices may help.
2. Staff insisted on English while we insisted on Bengali noticing that the staff was also comfortable with Bengali. Settling and engaging in a mutually comfortable language would have increased the comfort quotient.
3. Waiting seats are not adequate. Our family of four had to wait, taking turns at the 2 waiting chairs available in the lounge. Some innovative thinking can address this.
4. Staff were difficult to get attention of, as they were sparse and were mostly rushing to other things. Probably some attention to staff management may help.
Overall, highly recommendable food place. Manage the slight blemishes and it will stand tall much over other similar food places.
Regards,
Great food, we had their dim sum, Som Tam, which were very good, but the fish between banana leaf and the peanut crusted fish and corn spinach rice were fabulous. Great location and decor

PaPaYa is one of the finest east Asian restaurant in Kolkata, and a dining out with family here would be a a great idea indeed.
It's located at 11th floor of Magma House, Park Street and thus offers excellent skyline view.
As their serviceman explains they have largest dimsum offering - 68 types under 12 categories. Apart from the dim sum they offer Sushi too. The starters are top notch, though bit costly. The main course come in a huge portion, and taste wise authentic. The service is pretty fast.
Crispy Vegetable Maki : My all-time favorite sushi preparation, soft spicy mayo filling on the inside and an overload of crispy dehydrated spinach on top. If you’re at Pa Pa Ya, you must order this.
⭐⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⠀
Leeks and Chestnut Crystal Dumpling : From the world’s largest dim sum festival at PA PA YA with 68 varieties of dim sums on their menu. Packed inside this vibrant red is a great combination of leeks and water chestnut.⠀
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⠀⠀
⠀
Nigaki California Roll : Avocado tartare and charred American corn filling with tobanjan mayo- a spicy bean chili sauce. A simple preparation in comparison with most sushis you get these days, but still delicious.
⭐⭐⭐⭐️⠀
Veg Phad Thai Noodles : Another all-time favorite from PA PA YA, you cannot go wrong with the classic phad Thai.
⭐⭐⭐⭐️⭐⠀
Crispy Veg Chueng Fun : Vegetable filling in a double layer of thin rice noodle and crispy tempura batter, doused in a seasoned soy sauce. I usually relish this kind of dim sum but this one wasn’t up to the mark. The rice paper roll was too thick, and the flavors didn’t work too well for me.
⭐⭐⭐⠀
⠀
Khao Pad Kar Pao with Wok Tossed Seasonal Vegetables : A mildly spicy fried rice with the aroma of basil and Thai spices, paired with wok tossed vegetables, spinach and tofu in mala sauce, an oily spicy Chinese sauce. The rice was great, but the stir fry was too bland for my palate.
⭐⭐⭐⭐️⭐️ ⠀
⠀
It is a very well decorated place with a very gd hospitality.
Went to Pa Pa Ya on Friday 15th November for a batch reunion drinks + dinner, hosted by a batchmate from New York. The ambience is mind boggling, we might have been in New York or San Francisco at the height and look/ feel.
Drinks were served, would like to specially commend Bartender Sanu (the pointed Poirot beard looks really cool) for making a warm rum based cocktail for me, since I had a bad throat. My throat did not really bother me for the rest of the evening. Thereafter, followed up with 2 Rum Sour cocktails.
Sushis, starters, dim sums and mini pizzas (loved the fusion of parmesan, wasabi and edamane) kept on coming and the party really rocked. We are all 50 and the DJ considerately put on good 80s Music for us - Duran Duran, Culture Club, MJ, Depeche Mode and of course the regular party hits from ABBA, Bee Gees and Boney M. We are young guys who have aged gracefully! The buffet main course was also good but could not do justice to it. So means a return visit.
Training, service and attire were top class - would have been a tribute to any 5 star. I was reminded of a similar oriental bistro in Cape Town where I visited in 2007. This is as good a place. Tip: Pls host EDM prelims here, will be a big draw.
Had an absolutely exquisite dining experience at Pa Pa Ya sometime ago. The restaurant is on Park Street with a view overlooking the city. Service was excellent. Palette cleansers were served in sea shells! We tried cocktails, dimsums, another starter made of duck, rice and pork - the food was superb and we had some good suggestions from our server. My friends and I were left thoroughly impressed. Strongly recommend for an asian fine dine experience.
Visited after reading rave reviews in zomato and good word of mouth. We ordered the following items :
Korean pulled chicken bao
Sushi nigiri salmon sake
Xianing lamb tapas(small plates), Stir fried chicken noodles, Chocolate ball on fire.Words are not enough to describe how good the food was.The staff was courteous and they helped us in selecting the dishes from the menu, according to our requirement.

Our first visit to Pa Pa Ya.
Brilliant ambience, lovely city view from the 11th floor, and most importantly, outstanding food. The friendly and very helpful staff made it super easy to navigate through the menu card, which had a lot of names which might appear confusing at first glance.
Our order for the day:
1. Khao Pad Kar Pao Chicken Rice- If you like anything which resembles fried rice, you’ll simply love this. Though it has almost no resemblance to the usual fried rice we’re used to eating in Kolkata, the way the spices and meat were mixed together with the rice, resulted in a yum blend which I simply had to indulge in. Though I usually avoid rice or grains, today was an exception simply because this was so good. Though we had it with the gravy of the chicken item, it’s equally good if had alone without any gravy.
2. Wok Fried Sichuan Chicken, Sundried Chilli, Bamboo Shoots- This was a delicious and succulent chicken preparation with a moderate amount of thick and lip-smacking gravy. The serving size of a single plate was surprisingly very generous. The perfect companion dish to be had with rice or as a standalone item too.
3. The Shanghainese Style Pork Belly- This pork belly was easily the best pork I’ve ever tasted! And by “ever”, I mean “ever”! An unknown magical concoction in the Pa Pa Ya kitchen aided by the chef wizardry was able to create this pork delicacy, and I’m not only speaking about the taste here. The way I was able to slice through the pork pieces with minimal pressure, using just a spoon, and more significantly, the perfect blend of both fat and lean meat each piece had in them (let the photos do the talking), just goes to show the amount of attention to detail they’ve put in here. If I go back to this restaurant, which I think I will, it just has to be for this pork repeat!
4. Liquid Hazelnut Fondant Cake, Matcha, Blueberry Quenelle- Going by the kind of nutrition I believe in, these desserts don’t figure. But I always try things once, even if they’re not exactly healthy. I wasn’t disappointed at all. Not only was this a heavenly cake filled with molten chocolate, but the homemade blueberry ice-cream sweetened things beyond explanation. However, a slightly larger serving of both would have been nicer.
All in all, a must visit. Today we could only try a fraction of what was on their menu. But next time I shall have to try their lamb, prawn and salmon preparations which caught my attention today, but I couldn’t try thanks to the generous servings of what we ordered today.
The restaurant is a worth visit. We opted for buffet in lunch, it was really nice. The staffs were also good. It's a worth visit..😊👌
So I went there on a date with my bf this Diwali. It is an amazing and lovely place. The food was really good and the ambience was too classy. We had a sushi, wasabi pickled rice and wok sichuen chicken and it was too delicious. The price was not too exorbitant. The staff was too courteous and polite. I really loved the place and will surely visit again.
Just went for my bday but we tried very little only Sushi Nilgiri and Dimsum Prawn Chilli. Presentation of dishes is very good, taste is awesome very authentic. But have to mention that quantity of Sushi is very less .
Will definitely visit next time to try some other dishes.
I had heard a lot about this restaurant. After a few recommendations from my friends, i visited this restaurant and tried the following:
- Main Course: Chiang Mai curry
- Soup: Cantonese Dumpling Broth Veg
- Dessert: Strawberry and peanut butter dome
The soup and chiang mai curry were just amazing. Both were served in utnesils made out of stone which took our experience to the next level.
Highly disappointed with the dessert. Though the presentation was very nice, the quantity did not justify the hefty price tag at all. And even the taste wasn’t that good. It may be subjective though and you may like it.
Overall a must visit place if you are in the mood for Asian Cusine. You’ll not be disappointed. Cheers.
To start with, this place is worth every penny they charge..offering a classic fine dine experience. Each and every dish tastes outstanding. I really appreciate their service..the staffs are really interested. Also, their uniqueness being the tastebuzzers in-between every dish according to the dishes..highly recommended...
After years of seeing this food on so many animes and cartoons finally had a chance to taste japanese cuisine. Food and atmosphere both are amazing.
Woth tasting the man shuji and wok fried sichuan chicken with pad thai noodles and wasabi rice.. wat i liked was some dimsums and each and every dishes can be differentiated by their heavenly taste. Would like to drop in again.
The ambience of this place is to die for. The staffs are super friendly and the hospitality is top notch. I found the price to be a bit over priced, other than that everything about this place is great. Do visit this place.
The ambience made me feel like I was having lunch at the Empire State Building. Lovely people, and an amazing team of chefs who respect your time.
This is, without a doubt, one of the best dine-out experience one can have in this city. The staff were cordial and courteous and the food was nothing short of AMAZING.
The rock shrimp tempura we tried was definitely a winner. Moreover, the view from there is incredible and is sure to enhance the quality of your experience.
So kudos to team Pa Pa Ya for living up to our expectations. Will surely want to go back there for more.
We made an impromptu plan to go for lunch and headed to PaPaYa. We didn't have a table booking but had gone early in the afternoon, so got space easily.
Before we got the starters, we got the Amuse House palette cleanser, it was interesting, to say the least. A surprising burst of flavours and a piece of watermelon.
For our starters we ordered 2 kinds of sushi, a Boston roll and a red dragon maki, both were perfect. The soy sauce was not overwhelming, so it complimented the wasabi quite nicely. We also ordered a soft shell crab salad. The crabs were fried to perfection and were super fresh and spicy.
For our main course, we ordered a lamb spicy oyster, efu noodles with chicken and a seafood Khao pad kar pao. Before it arrived, we were given a litchi sorbet palette changer. It definitely was. Sweet and cold, it snapped us out of the taste we'd experienced with the starters.
I can keep talking about the main course too, but I'll keep it short here. Everything was perfect.
The only thing that didn't work for us was the dance music playing in the middle of the day at a rather loud volume, which distracted us from conversation. Towards the end of our lunch the music did change and was much better.
Special mention of the staff, super polite and helpful. Our server had answers to all our questions and patiently waited as we argued over what to order.
Ambience is really good, staffs are well behaved too. Location is awesome, someone can enjoy a great view of park Street and howrah bridge from the window glass.
They provide 2 welcome shot ,one before starters another one before main course, they offer delivery too.
They have good collection of mocktail or soft drinks.
Price is a bit high as per taste but quantity was good
This place is an absolute wonder. Usually I find amazing food not in a fine dining setting but this place changed a bit of that. Yes the food is a little over priced but MY GOD! it's worth it. For people trying to have Sake don't take the sparkling one , it's actually nothing. The red snapper could complete our good old bhetki and damn that's huge. Their chili pork, baos, dumplings are absolutely to die for. You try anything from the menu and you will not be disappointed.
A complete family resto-bar.
Food delicious. Tried Twice cook pork belly, fragrant ohu, Rock shrimp tempura, lamp oyster, fragrant crispy chilly sea food fried rice.
Cocktail - Trash Can (great), flapper girl (avg).
The ambiance is excellent
Service is outstanding.
Note.: check for the OPTIONABLE service charge, in invoice which is not mandatory to pay , which is 10% of the bill. I repeat it is not a tip to those who serve you, but extra optional bill. Thanks
A very beautiful place and finger licking food. Sushi platter was very good. View from the glass window was spectacular. It 8s one of the best places in park Street. Not to be missed.

A great place to enjoy Asian cuisine in Kolkata. Located in Park Street area, this place has a good ambiance to it. The staffs were courteous and very helpful. Foods were delicious. Cocktails were great. There is also a smoking zone in the balcony, from where the view is amazing. Overall a great place for enjoying Asian food with your family, friends and loved ones.
Great ambience and view. Waiters were polite and quantity was good. We took sushi, chicken noodles, and a dessert. The price is high but quality is good.
One of the best place in Kolkata for the Asian cuisine. Ambience is really good, along with the view, staffs are well behaved too. They also provide welcome shot before starters. We have tried dumplings, Bao, sushi. Sushi turned out to be good , this place serves one of the best sushi. Actually all the food was delicious. Overall, I had a great experience at paPaYa
Brilliant place at 11th floor with beautiful setup. Food quality is good and they ensure you relish it rather than eat the food. Service is good here, polite behavior. I stopped in on 22nd of OCT 2023 in the evening with friends and family. Had a great time there and am looking forward to visit again. Yes it might seem the food and drinks are priced on the higher side but you have to consider the place where they are located. Overall I would rate the place 9.5 out of 10.
PaPaYa is an upscale Asian cuisine restaurant and serves pretty delicious dishes. We tried dumplings, Bao, sushi 🍣 and noodles. All of them were good. The quantity might be an issue for foodies who are habituated with city vfm restaurants (self retrospective). Would definitely recommend it if you like Asian cuisine.
Note: The restaurant is situated on the top floor and you can get a beautiful view of the city. The entry is a bit confusing.
