Visited Arsalan last Thursday with a friend. Ordered chicken butter masala, tandoori roti, chicken biryani, and parcelled firni while returning home. I am impressed about the food. However I feel that the chicken butter masala could have been better, as the chicken was dry in it. But this is my point of option. And it may differ.
One thing to note is that the price for the delivery outlet is not as same as the price where you are dining upstairs. As for example. When you dine the price of firni is Rs.84 including gst and when you order from the parcel counter, the price of firni is Rs 60 including gst. Please make a point. There's only one downside, that too much oil is being used to prepare dishes like Chicken Bharta. The oil quantity could've been brought down
I have ordered Chicken Tandoori Butter masala. The dish was good enough in taste, and quality is good. Spice levels are equal , and so much soothing. And the flavour of Tandoori Chicken also pop out nicely.

Arsalan is quite an old and popular resturant at the heart of hatibagan- Kolkata. It's a good place to have all type of kebabs, biriyani, north indian or mughlai food.. the price is also reasonable.. and foods taste authentic and is A very nice alternative to latest top gun Aminia.
We visited after lockdown after sooo long, we were starving, arsalan was nearby so we hit that place.
We ordered, rumali roti, biriyani, tandoori butter chicken, shahitukda
Taste it was amazing, I loved the butter chicken and shahitukda is my favourite from their restaurant.

Hyderabadi dum biriyani is my first priority here, everytime i have this here ,amazes me by the texture n flavour. It isn't too rich neither does it sticks to ur teeth like other rice grains. The reshmi kebabs here are a must try . A bit late service.
Ordered a chicken biriyani ,plate of mutton biryani and chicken kosha and just imagine what can be a better place than Arsalan, it's really proved itself.
Arsalan is very popular for its amazing cuisine. I ordered butter naan, chicken Reshmi butter masala and green salad. The taste was as usual excellent. The quantity was worth the money.
If you go to Kolkata don't forget to visit Arsalan and if you are a non-vegetarian then try Reshmi Kaabab for sure. That's a different method of kabab which I never had ever anywhere else.
The food is really delicious, I have been to this place for a number of times and it never fails to surprise me. The attitude of the staff is really a plus, it adds value to the quality restaurant time. I have frequented this place for the last 10 years since the start of my college life and you can take my word for it, it is good and you won't be disappointed. As for the food, it doesn't need an introduction, the place screams Biriyani and beckons any Biriyani lover. A must try if you are new in the city!
Being a Biryani lover I keep on trying a biryanis from different places. But the satisfaction Arsalan gives that no other Biryani place can give! Had all these home delivered recently . Not a single question over quality!

Went so many times here because this outlet is hardly 2 kilometres from my home but never wrote a review ,but now as we have lot of times in our hand so thought of writing small review.
Yesterday ordered 2 big rolls from this outlet - Double chicken egg roll & Chicken roll. Double chicken egg roll is bit costly, i need to spent 90 rupees for it but frankly speaking taste is really good but why the name is double chicken i am not able to understand that, i think better we should order Double egg chicken roll which will be 'paisa vasool'. Chicken roll as usual really upto the mark.
Next time will go for their Arsalan special roll..

Must try the mutton biriyani, nd the firni from here. Also the chicken chaap is very delicious.

What I love most about their Biryani is that it's light on your stomach; I was tensed about my tummy for being an Intern Doctor, I had a 12 hr night shift.
But surprisingly nothing happened. It didnt even cause acidity.
Mutton pieces were good. Quantity was well enough.
Regarding Firni, it felt hard to put your spoon/finger out of mouth once you place a li'll scoop of firni on your tongue. I guess the review can't be more descriptive than that.

As per my instructions, as usual juicy tender Mutton with rice was packed for me and my family from their side.
It was yummy delicious as its my all time favourite.

Arsalan has always been my favorite but nowadays the taste of food and staff behavior has gone down a lot. Previously, their biriyani used to be worth of money but now i think its too costly as compared with taste.
The tandoori, kababs and roll are worth try. But they should look after the food taste a bit. Overall,its good.
See the picture. I finished it all my myself. I generally go to this place alone. And just treat myself with this tasty kebabs and tikkas once in a month.
This is perhaps the best Arsalan outlet. Ordered mutton and chicken biryani. Both the quality and quantity is satisfactory. Special mention to the tandoori chicken, which was fabulous. Firni was good too, though not the best. However, the service is too slow and unattentive. That's the only bummer!
If you want to give treat to your friends and you are student then you will like this place. One of the famous spot for biryani. However I am not a very big fan of crowd, staff and service. The only reason I like this place is over all budget friendly and biryani and kababs are too good.

Whenever i have visited the place i have found the staffs to be courteous and well mannered.When it comes to food quality it is very good in that particular price segment and a very affordable place to be in. In other words typical family place. The crowd is also good enough and so is the food items and once must definitely visit the place.

Arsalan is one of my most favourite biryani place in Kolkata. I've been here countless times and their mutton biryani is always my first choice whenever I visit. The other dishes are quite good too. The price is a bit high but the delicious mutton biryani with a tender, big mutton piece and a piece of soft potato makes up for it.

The kebabs, biriyani and firni were delicious. The spices were perfectly blend and the kebabs were so soft and mouth watering and same goes for biryani and firni too.
This Arsalan is situated in the lane beside town School in Hatibagan. Its a 3 stireyed building. The staffs are courteous. They have a live kebab counter
We had chicken Arsalan masala. It was a bit sweetish but it's recommended for those who loves sweet preparations of chicken.
We had Garlic Naan along with it which was also very tasty.
The desert in the firni made our delicious dining complete.
Arsalan is worth all the hype, we ordered special mutton biryani which consists of a piece of potato, a boiled egg, 2 big chunks of mutton and biriyani rice, a plate is enough for 2 depending on your appetite. It was so subtle yet flavorful, mutton chunks were so soft that it would melt into your mouth. The perfect place to have kolkata style biriyani.

I just love their hyderabadi biryani! Its very spicy and delicious in taste. The place is mostly crowded but they keep up to it. Their hyderabadi biryani is highly recommended from my side.

Food was great. Ordered mutton special Biriyani, Chicken Reshmi Kebab, Firni and Thumbs Up! The biriyani was cooked into perfection! Special Mutton Biriyani consists of two giant pieces of mutton and a flavorful Aloo; is enough for serving two. The kebab was very soft and juicy. Overall the experience was great and staffs were amazing. Highly recommend this place!
It was the best experience as we had the best food from the best outlet. Arsalan lives up to its name and serves the best biryani in town undoubtedly. Nice place for a small or large group. Though we were a group of 10 and had to split into 2 tables. The food was excellent as always, light and ambience was very satisfactory. But the AC was absolutely not able to cool the entire place. With around 35 degrees outside one would at least want a decently cool atmosphere in a eating area specially when it comes to such a renowned restaurant chain in Kolkata.
I visited this place during Durga Puja festival. To my surprise they have maintained a pretty good balance towards serving food, managing customers.everybody knows how much crowd people face during these 5 days, but they tried to do their best, although there was a shortage of employees i felt.taste wise it is as usual nice. But i guess bit overpriced . Ambience is good.inside there you may face network issues if you are using Vodafone.
