One of the best biriyani tasted in kolkata ever the whole dish is served on fresh banana leaves which is one of the oldest way of serving showing the authenticity of culture and food.
On the food the quantity is too much for a an average eating person but the uniqueness is it is purely hygenic and the amount of oil used is absolutely right and enough because of which u don't feel any kind of fullness after eating a plate of biriyani.
The aroma of the biriyani can't be described with words the rice are well cooked and tastes just awesome 👌👌the chicken is also smooth which instantly falls of the bones,the spices are completely embedded inside the meat peice and the juiciness of the chicken gives you a purely heaven like feel seriously. will come again later on surely!!
This was a remarkable memory for a plate of briyani to travel 3 kms from salt lake to Barackpore just worth it😘

Few months back visited this legendary place... Heard lot about this place... Yes the famous Biriyani... I tried the chicken biriyani and mutton biriyani... Biriyani is very oily... But the taste is good... Full of flavourful rice with tender meat and potato... The biriyani is heavy... Quantity was great... Price is a bit high
Finally had a chance to visit this main outlet of Dada Boudi hotel barrackpore. It is located in Ghosh Para Road, near to the railway station.
We ordered one Mutton Biriyani and Mutton Keema. The biriyani was excellent to say the least, arguably the best I have had in a long long time! The mutton piece was huge, soft and succulent. The Aloo was soft too and perfectly boiled. The aroma of the biriyani was mind blowing, amazing quality of rice and blend of spices. The quantity is wholesome and will easily suffice for two lei. The mutton Keens tasted delicious, soft shredded pieces of mutton mixed with layer of butter over it, the Keema was very very soft and completely melts in the mouth!
There is no such ambience inside and you might have to wait to get a seat! Staffs are cooperative and service is quick and prompt.
A must visit for Biriyani lovers to try one of the most aromatic biriyani in town. Eagerly waiting for my next visit!!

Finally visited the main Branch of Dada Boudi Biryani- Barrackpore, and ordered one mutton biryani for myself. Soft, succulent and juicy mutton piece with the softest ever aloo. The aroma of the Biryani was mouth-watering in itself. Let alone biryani. The rice was of fine and superior quality.Quantity is good as well. Can suffice two people. Though the place is not so hygienic and the crowd is insane inside out. Will suggest you to opt for takeaway which i did.The staffs were too sweet. Though they were so busy with the rush and the crowd waiting for the biryani. They were helping me click photos and waiting too.
If you are a Biryani lover, you should really visit this place and dig into their delicious and flavourful biryani served in clean banana leaf. Very unique but totally worth visiting.

Had this amazing Biriyani served on Banana Leaves at Dada Boudi Hotel, Barrackpore... They provide a big piece of Chicken / Mutton and also a fairly large piece of Alu... The salad is also a bit different from the regular ones as it has Coriander Chutney on top..
This place needs no introduction. An actual gem for all biriyani-terians .A perfect Mutton Biriyani should fulfill these criterias
1. An mushy half cut piece of big potato
2. A big plate of nicely spiced rice with an aroma to fall for
3. A big chunk of seasoned meat ,so tender that it should fall off the bone quite easily.

As a biriyani freak Dada boudi biriyani is a must try biriyani. And it was on my bucket list since last one year but couldn't succeed the plan to visit there. Finally yesterday me and my girlfriend visit it and it's all true what people say about this place. It's really the king of biriyani in Kolkata, not only for the quantity but also for the taste.
Ambience- We visited their very first shop and this place was so small, people's mainly used it as a take away counter. The ambience was very busy and I think it's more crowded at weekdays.
Service- service was really very impressive. Although the place was full but the staffs were working really very fast and served the food within 5 mint's after ordering.
Location- It's located just opposite of baraackpore station.
Now come to the taste of the food that we ordered-
||Mutton Biriyani||- This one cost INR 230 and the price was justified for the taste and quantity. We don't hesitate to spent money for good food and so it is. The mutton piece was so big and you could hardly find this type of mutton piece in any restaurant. And the potato also very big but the biriyani doesn't contain any egg. The rice was enough for one person and it had a nice aroma which increase your appetite more. You should try this biriyani once in your life if you're a biriyani freak like me.
||Chicken Biryani||- As like mutton biriyani this one also contain a large piece of chicken and one big potato which was perfectly boiled. The chicken was so soft that it easily apart from bone. This one cost INR 180 which was great for this type of biriyani.
||Chicken Chap||- Ordered it as a side dish and it's cost INR 100 and for this price the size of the chicken piece was really fascinating. The gravy was lipsmacking and it's increase the taste of the biriyani more. This one is a must try dish.
Salad with green chutney served with both biriyani and the biriyani was served in banana leaf over the plate which was really good for me.

This restaurant serves authentic Bengal Biryani which tastes amazing. Everyone should try their Biryani at least once. Best in Kolkata. Quality and quantity are great.
Visited this place some days back, during Durga Puja to have the best Biriyani ever. There are three outlets near Barrackpore station out of which one is air conditioned and the other two are take-aways.

The air-conditioned hall was full so we opted for the other outlets. Normal tables and chairs were provided. Located just by the side of the road. Hygienic place. Very down to earth place and won't seem like a 5 star place but be ready to be blown away by the quality of their biriyani.
The mutton piece was larger than normal and was well cooked with balance of spices. The proportion of biriyani rice was huge. The quality and quantity was top notch. Do try this place out only for the love of biriyani.

This place is the landmark of biriyani lovers. Served on banana leaves, it's a delicacy that oozes out love. Just order the dish with your preference of meat (chicken/mutton). Also, don't expect an egg in the biriyani. They also serve regular veg and non veg lunch.

Dada boudi biriyani was so so good u know. Thanks to my friend who took me there. Biriyani cooked in perfect moisture, tasty with a mammoth chicken legpiece and tasty salad with mint chutney on top. Superior service. Still they serve biriyani on banana leaves.

We all heard a lot about 'Dada Boudi Biriyani ' which is located in barrackpore. Many years ago I tried their biriyani ,it's actual as my expectations , but after few years, yesterday I went there and ordered Biriyani which is really I didn't like. It wasn't too bad, it's overall, not upto the mark, somehow there was missing the flavour , the taste . Really disheartened for the Biriyani for which the restaurant is known for. It's true, there was much crowded but it doesn't mean that the taste may be changed, they should maintain it.
Besides,I tried there all signature dishes that was just wow, haven't any complain. But I have a question why they would not mention 'Biriyani' as there signature dish.
Whatever The ambience was stunning, well maintained, need and clean, very warm behaviour, ofcourse you are very much pleased with the way they treat their each customer But you have to wait whenever you go...

The place is too good for what they serve the best : Biriyani. You’ll get other cuisines too, but North Indian is their forte. I would especially like to mention their hospitality and service. The food is fabulous. Overall a great experience. The only thing they can improve is to reserve a parking space for their customers, which is really needed and lacks at the same time.
First time ever visiting dada boudi restaurant. The atmosphere is quite cozy and minimalist. You have to stand in a big queue as of course it is so famous. About service - the hospitiles are really amazing and the way they cooperate with us. About food each and every dish is so piping hot and delicious. ❤️

Definitely it will be worth travel from Kolkata to have this delicious plate of biryani!!
Great ambience & staffs are very helpful. But taste of the foods are not anything like super tasty or unique, they were avg. I'm disappointed especially with the biryani that the restaurant is famous for. I don't know whether it's because they want to maintain the hygiene or not but I personally expected it to be a bit more masaledaar. And finally I would like them to do something about the huge line that we have to face before entering the restaurant, we waited like 1 hr just to enter the restaurant. Pls make a vip line as well or something like online booking system.

The food taste is good one of the best biryani in Kolkata. It is in front of the barrackpore station.The place is too much crowded you must wait one hour in queue for entering this hotel. There is no four wheeler parking facility available to park the vehicle near by the restaurant. Suggested to visit the outlet with two wheeler only. The food is value for money but standing in queue will irritate, visit if you have time and patience only.

The chicken pieces and mutton pieces were big in size. The biryani had flavours. It isn't my favourite biryani but I won't say it's overhyped, the taste was good.
We ordered vetki fish fry as well which was not at all worthy so i guess better stick to biryani.
Oh yes, the service is bit slow and customer has to initiate more than required.
Today we went to dada boudi restaurant & ordered diamond fish fry, Thai fish as a starter both were really good, & the Thai fish was recommended by staff of dada boudi & it's such a good dish. & In main course we ordered biriyani as we all know this restaurant is famous for such dishes & as a drinks they suggested us mixed fruit non-alcoholic champen, it's one of the best drinks.
Travelled all the way to try dadi boudi biryani and it was so worth it. The quantity for the price is amazing. The chicken and mutton pieces provided are more than sufficient for any biryani lover. The service is quick, but there's always a waiting line-as I had been warned. I had to wait for 15 minutes, which is fair.
The firni was truly good. The fish fry was the bit oily but the bhetki was just so soft and tasty. 10/10, would recommend.
I've heard a lot about the restaurant since the last few years,, Finally the wait is over and the wish to taste the teste of Kolkata people' one of the most favourite food hub at barrackpore. The restaurant opens all the seven flours and the waiting was for half an hour. The food service and the atmosphere was nice,, Management was too good to handle the situation. I tried Punjabi chicken tikka ,the most famous mutton biryani,masala cold drinks and firni.
All were good, especially the mutton biryani that touched the heart and soul. Rating 10 out of 10.

Biryani has a different emotions for us .
This is one of the best place where mutton biryani feels so special . The mutton was drooling over and i love how it was cooked too soft . I even tried their bekti fish fry .
The prices are pretty high like 550 for special mutton biryani but 150 was for fish fry which was okay .
But the amount is worth the quality and taste of the biryani.
The staffs are not that polite so had to give 3 star ✅️

I went there for lunch with my family on Sat 25th November, since I had an appointment for my parents at Disha Eye Hospital Barrackpore which is situated at approximately 400 mts from the restaurant. It is a 7 storey building and the top floors are yet under construction. I had ordered Fish fry for starters. For the main course, we had ordered 2 plates of mutton biryani, 1 plate of chicken biryani. Cost was little on the higher side at Rs 350 and Rs 250 respectively. However, the tastes were simply lips smacking. I have had biryanis at Arsalan (There is also an Arsalan in the same locality) Park Circus, Aminia in Kolkata. Also, I have tried biryanis in Paradise, Shah Ghouse, Pista House at Hyderabad. I must say, this taste and quality of Kolkata style biryani defeats all others. I would also like to add, that this restaurant also stands out because of the way they treat each and every customer so patiently, warmly that its worth more than the food itself.
