If you are tired of all americans and french fries, even the Souths and the norths make you feel incomplete, welcome back home, to the age old childhood receipes.
Best for the families, and best for the missing family dishes. Price is totally under the budget but dining alone would cost more, while bringing the family or friends will make the per head price to decrease 2 to 3 fold. So yeah it's family place.
I wouldn't recommend any dish personally rather I would like you to experiment all of them one or another. Go for it. Happy foodies.
Perfect bengali cuisine. I absolutely love the pulao and chicken dakbanglow combination. Anything you choose is bound to taste good. My all time favourite.
Bhojohori Manna is a famous restaurant that serves authentic Bengali food. The food was really tasty and definitely authentic. We ordered Mutton Dak Bunglow and Chanar Dalna from here. Both dishes were good. The chanar dalna was slightly sweet in taste. The muttons in the Dak Bunglow was juicy and succulent. The quantity was also sufficient. Will surely order again.
Nice and awesome bengali cuisine available here , elaborate menu including murir ghonto end to ilish available here, perfect restaurant for bengali food lovers who prefer hands than spoon to eat
Traditional Indian Bengali Food can be availed at Bhojohari Manna located at Hatibagan. Perfect place to dine out on any occasion. I love the fish Fry as well as Paturi.

I was here for the first time and it became really a special moment for me!!
1- Dab Chingri- it was really good and presentation was really nice, I was impressed by the presentation.
Coming to taste, it was fabulous and specially it feels like we are drinking a daab as well as eating chingri!! So the mixture proportion was well maintained!!
I was impressed keep it up!!
2- Iilish- aaah!! It was the best dish here!! If anyone have a plan for this restraunt, please have the iilish here, it was really nice!! Sorse iilish, the favourite one!!! I was really very excited to have this, and after having this I have one more time!! Very good and spicy!! Keep it up!!
One more thing I am rating you 4 as because of your costs!!
You should be pocket friendly!! As you are not!! No doubt the quality of the food is good but you should also think about the customer’s pocket!! Everyone here is not wealthy one!!
Thank you!!
Bhojohori manna is located near star theatre, hatibagan, kolkata. Upon entering, you are welcomed into their very artistic and ethnic ambience. The staff there is very courteous and helpful.
We had ordered a full plate peas pulao priced at Rs. 110, chanar dalna priced at Rs.90, machher chop priced at Rs.55, murgir jhol priced at Rs.140, mangshor jhol priced at Rs.180 and mishti doi priced at Rs.45. The food was very authentic and tasted exactly home-like. The chicken and the mutton were very delicious in taste, however i wished for a more generous quantity. The mishti doi was the cherry in the cake. I would recommend every bengali to try out the dishes from this outlet in hatibagan.
Rating : 4.8/5.
Been there on SAPTAMI
Huge crowd and line was their and had waited for near about 2 hours to get seated.
On entry we were given their Puja menu and would only served the thali that was alloted for that day, and we got served ourself with their Saptami Thali [825] excluding tax.
Thali includes:
One portion of plain rice
One portion of Bengali Polao- sweet and tastes good.
Mochar Ghonto- it too taste good.
Moong daal- the flavours were aromatic and tastes delicious.
Doi Katla- Medium sized fresh katla fish was being served and the curry tastes sweet.
Bagda Chingri- Medium size prawn was served and curry tastes okeish.
Kosha Mangso- one piece of chicken in curry was served and tastes good.
Tomato chutney- it was full of khejur, kismis and Kaju.
Dessert- Misti doi, kamla bhog and Paan.
Overall it was good.
First of all I'd like to thank the staff at this outlet, they made my experience very special, thanks to them for making my entire family feel extremely comfortable.
We ordered Chingri Cutlet and Fish Fry as starters. On the main course, we were presented with their available thali which was also customizable and we added Chingri Macher Malaikari, Mutton Dakbanglow, Katla Kaliya. The food quality was excellent, the presentation was perfect and the ambience went along with everything so incredibly well. I loved the décor and had a fabulous time dealing with the staff. I cannot stop complimenting this place as it made my day extremely special.
Ordered home delivery few days ago!!!
We ordered-
• Bengali Pulao - Pulao was good. Quantity was enough for one person. Pulao was fulled with kaju badam.
• Mutton Dak Bungalow - Aroma of mutton dak bungalow was great. Mutton was soft. Very delicious.
• Kosha mangsho - It was great too.
Happy fooding 😊
I just love the place.. A perfect platform for bengali cuisine.. Great ambience.. Tasty foods.. Visited with family.. Kosho mangsho is must recommended.. And chanar dalnaa is divine.. ❤ malakari is pure love 💕 all bengali foodies must visit the place 😊

Bhojohori Manna is really famous for its bengali cuisines. Went to their branch in hatibagan. They place is always crowded & you may end up sharing seats with other diners. We opted to wait. The staffs were good. Had ordered jumbo ilish, rice, chitol macher muitha. The quantity seemed a little less compared to the prices but the food was really good. Can give it a try.

One of the best places around kolkata to have proper bengali cuisine. They serve really good foods and in beautiful dining sets . Ilish vape is a must try and notun gurer ice cream. But last time daab chingri they served was not upto the mark and vaja muger daal felt like they added some hot water into that. Else all were so tasty.
Fish chop was too good

The place made for Bengali Foods. Last night we ordered Rice, Macher maths deye dal, Kach Kolar kofta, Bhetki paturi, Mutton dak bangalow, Aam chatni. I like the food but the quantity is not sufficient for two people. Mutton dak bangalow was super tasty.
Well Serves One Of The best bengali cuisine for decades now. I love their topshe fry and mutton kosha the most. could have been better with basanti pulao. The ambience is good. It was a pleasant experience overall.
This place is always in my fvt list when ever i am sreaching from bengoli quzin.... Ilish and Polau are the best food... The quantity and quality are also good... Staff was very good in behaviour..

This restaurant gives you the complete feel of 'Bangaliyana' with courteous staffs and prompt service.
Located at the ground floor of the star theatre.
This is a place one can visit when the craving is for authentic bengali delicacies.
Coming to the taste, they were absolutely scrumptious. Of course, one should have Luchi and Mutton kosha together that's a legit good combo. I would highly recommend the nolen gurer ice cream as it was one of the best desserts I've ate the crunchiness prevails throughout with the essence of the jaggery.

Every dish had bengali flavour in it and mutton was soft and delicious.
This is a place to crash for lunch on a busy shopping day on the streets of Hathi Bagan . You can savour a plethora of Bengali preparations in prices fit for the pocket of the common man. We visited this branch for dinner. Most dishes were already out of stock. We ordered all that was available. Everything was tasty. Paneer (Chanar Dalna) was my favourite. We shopped a lot . We ate a lot. Altogether, wife was very happy. That makes a happy husband. Thanks everybody.
Bhojohori has a special place in my heart. I was first introduced to one of its outlet in Puri and basically there's not even a single restaurant from Bhubaneswar to Puri which can serve authentic Bengali food, so I always craved Bengali food during the four years of my college in Bhubaneswar. Therefore I made sure to visit bhojohori manna everytime I visited Puri. They bring justice to the true recipes of Bengal and the taste of each and every dish is still on my tongue. To be honest,I liked the Puri outlet better than this one but nonetheless, their menu consists of bangali ghorer ranna and it makes me glad that I was born as a Bengali.
This place is very easy to locate just beside the star theater ,if you want to have authentic Bengali dishes then this place can be a ideal choice for you
Ambience was good food quality was good too
We ordered
Tel koi
Mutton Dakbangla
Bengali pulao
Plain rice
Chitol muitha
Dab chingri
Misti doi
We didn't like that bengali pulao much else were good.
Wow experience..nice atmosphere..and also reasonable price.. i love vetki patri so much it's too yummy.in one one if I could add is a big wowwww
Food was sooooooooo damn good. I literally have no words to describe the taste. Highly recommended!!!
Bengoli pati khabar is soo satisfying man. I have been to this place when ever i come to kolkata. You will definitely get the best bong food here.
The taste was a pure delicacy, they serve bengali cuisine, the daab chingri and other bengali delicacy were awsome there, pocket pinch was good and normal loved the taste
One of the oldest outlets of the chain just adjacent to Star Theatre. The seating capacity is small and might be same or less than the capacity of the Esplanade outlet.
The ambience here is not something noteworthy.
The daab chingri, prawn malaikari, mutton dakbunglow and nolen gurer ice cream are some of the all time classics here. Also the chanar dalna is a must try.
An important factor to keep in mind is that being a small outlet this is a very busy one and there is always a big queue outside so it is better off to visit the place at early hours to avoid the hassle and get all your desired dishes as the stock is quite limited for daily limits.
After a long gap of above 4yrs yesterday I had been to this place with someone special.Though this place is quite near to my home still I couldn't manage to go there for a long while..
Anyway we ordered Polao,Rajasthani Mutton,Vetki Paturi..I thought this might fell short to fulfill our apetite..but believe me the polao was so tasty and lot of ghee, cashews were there that a small amount of it seemed satisfying..Then about the mutton.Just amazing in taste,a totally different flavour was coming from the gravy and each plate contained 3pcs(we took two plates)..the pcs were perfectly prepared and it gave me a finger-licking feelings. Vetki paturi was covered with banana leaf, the odour of mustard and the light spice gave me pleasure of Bengali Paturi. Those were also perfect.
Last but not the least I gotta mention that do give a try to their Nolen Gurer Ice Cream..it's their signature item and marvellous as a desert..worth taking. I enjoyed it delightfully.
Staffs were very courtious and cordially they treated us.During the lunch hour there was a bit of rush still they attended us thoroughly..
Overall my experience after so many days was charming and for Bengali Cuisine if I have to choose a place again ,this place definitely will be in that list..
I think it is one of those places where you can still have authentic Bengali food. Even though the waiter told me that they are good for Non-Veg only I still find their veg food great especially their Shukto.
Want to try out the best authentic Bengali food across kolkata? Well, then you definitely need to visit this restaurant.
We opted for the lunch ...
Had a team lunch over here with a normal buffet. The taste and texture was very smooth for most of the dishes special mention for Ras Malai and Dav Chigri.
A great place to have Bengali cuisines.
Life would be boring if there is no sudden tint of discovery or these unexpected feeling of finding something new. I just discovered this place with a peppy name serving good, typical Bengali dishes in an innovative way.
This place is very famous in north Kolkata. Bhojohori Manna is mostly known as the place of bengali authentic dishes. Here Chingrir malaikari, mutton daakbunglow, ilish machher paturi are delicious.
The classis bengali cuisine.. deliciously.. varied and above all great value for money. We ordered luchi alur dum.. polau and mutton rajasthani. The luchis wer fluffy, soft and polau tasty mutto was ok ish. The mutton dakbunglow would have been a better choice. Though mutton pieces weren't that great. For desserts we had Aam Doi a must try dessert the classic though with loads of mango flavour. The ambience was normal and service average.
very tasty bengali food i have ordered from here several times and every time the food was awesome if u want to taste bengali food, this is the right place for taste and quality.
Amazing Bengali cuisine... Great ambience.. awesome delicacies.. which are prepared on the availability of fishes of that season.. Thalis are also available.. which provide lump sum amount of perfect Bengali dishes
I love being here be it any occasion or not. My favourites are basanti pulao, chicken dakbunglow and dab chingri. The food is superb in both quantity and quality.

Here you can get authentic Bengali dishes..
They serve the plate with "kolapata"(banana leaf).
Food is good. Must try their "postor Bora" "mutton dackbanlow"."dab chingri "
Don't forget to order "nolen gur ice cream"
It's really suppperrrbbb.
Bhojohori Manna is a well known name in Kolkata and every year I like to go there for at least one meal . specially on that time it is extremely crowded. I really like their food but what I do not like is that it is very congested and small. but the staff is polite and the prices are ok and the food is really really good
Yesterday went there for lunch..decor is nothing special to mention..as for the food quality is good but not quantity.
We ordered
Rice- quantity is very small.not enough for one adult person.
Kochu pata chingri- it was good but I found only 3 prawns in the whole dish..disappointed.
Chanar dalna- loved the dish..no negative.
Vetki paturi- good but a bit spicy to our liking.
Parshe mach r jhal- not sure about the item as my mother says it was not the authentic parshe fish..
Nolen gur r ice cream- loved it but I had better..
Overall good lunch..nowdays so many options are available for bengali food they should pay attention to the quality and quantity as well.
I have visited this place on 15/10/2018.....The ambiance was decent.... I have ordered rice, mug musur dal, alu bhaja, chanar dalna...... The taste of the food is good.... Chanar dalna was just too perfect... The quantity of the rice was not sufficient.... Overall little bit costly
I went here with my friend during durga pujo days.. it was dasami and i was willing to eat something traditional and the first place came in my mind was bhojohori manna.. As this place is credited for bringing household Bengali dishes into the mainstream and it seemed to be a whole new trend to gorge on jumbo chingri malaikari or mutton duckbanglow.. i had thali which was special for vijaya dasami and consists of plain rice, polao, betki paturi, macher mata badakopi, chingri malaikari, mutton duckbanglow, anarosher chatni, rosomalai, khirkodom and misti pan.. just wowwwww... 😊
An amazing place for Bengali food lovers.
From ambience to food was like amazing. This place can do nothing wrong.
We had:
Plain Rice
Alu Bhaja
Moog Dal
Mutton Dak Banglow.
Gosh the food the finger licking delicious specially Mutton Dak Banglow, which contained 3 pieces of juicy, tender mutton with an egg and mouth watering gravy which will definitely pamper your taste buds....
Bhojohori manna,as it is a nostalgia for the bangali , with a photographic reference to Sukumar Ray's Katuburo on the very entrance of the venue, that is something which will increase a foodie bangali's food libido. We've ordered bangali polao and chicken dak banglow for the main course . Believe me, it was the tastiest food I've had in a while. The fish chops for the starters were mouth watering. The prices are reasonable ,it is certainly not overpriced.

This place needs no introduction. Its one of the best places to get taste of authentic Bengali home-cooked meals. There is no compromise in quality, however the quantity is a bit less. You should definitely try nalen gurer ice-cream

Last Friday I visit here with my Husband. Order for Polao, Bhetki Roll, Two Bata fish curry.. All foods are really mouthwatering & amazing aroma also.♥️😆 Last, we order Two Aam pora sarbat, yaami test.. just feel too good .. 👍
Away from home, such authentic Bengali restaurants are life saviors. It was a casual lunch. We ordered dal, bhaja, a dalna and fish. The preparation was good. But the quantity was pretty less. But my favourite part was the dessert. The Nolen Gur icecream was an absolute delicacy.
Great bengali food ,not a place to hangout but if you want a perfect lunch or dinner ,absolutely the right place for you ,staffs are attentive ,good, tables available in sharing basis also
Food was good in taste.. Quantity was OK. We had ordered one plate each of plain rice, aloo bhaja (potato fry), aloo diye tyangra jhol ( a fish preparation), mutton er jhol (a simple mutton gravy), mango chutney, mishti doi and notun gur er ice-cream. The rice came in a bowl which is ok for two medium eaters. The fish tasted good. There were five small pieces of fish. The mutton dish was good. It had three small pieces of mutton. It could have been a bit big in size. The mishti doi was ok but the ice cream was super yummy. At the end we had two mishti paan. This meal costed us Rs. 730.
Parking might be a problem. You have to park on the main road.
What should I say about this place? Its the best place to have a classy traditional bengali meal. The fish dishes are just too good. A bit on the costly side but absolutely worth every penny. Best place ever!
Located near Star theatre this is a perfect place for a typical Bengal lunch or dinner. The place remains crowded most of the time. The quantity and quality of this place is worth mentioning. My favourite item is the Chanar Dalna and I make sure to have it every time I visit the place. The mutton kasha with their pulao is another must try item.
Since I stay In North Calcutta, we order from here often. The place Remains extremely crowded most of the time and if you want to eat here sitting in the restaurant you must come here with some time in hand don’t be late because they tend to run out of stuff. The place is located inside star theatre and is very easy to locate. Just survived for quite some years which vouches for the fact that the place serves quality food. All of their dishes are very standard. I would advice you to opt for their specially curated thalis and then take extra side dishes which appeals to you since it is the smarter way to order here because their thalis are something one shouldn’t miss. However there ambience is nothing to talk home about.
Search for mouth-watering bengali cuisine ends here. This outlet here in hati bagan is quite small. So you may have to wait a little before being seated. Satisfaction jumps to your tongue as you taste the dishes and your mind baffles with joy. Eat to your heart's content. Give your taste buds a journey of a lifetime.
Went there about 2 months ago.. excellent food quality.. ordered loochi, cholar dal, alur dom, plain rice, dhokar dalna, alu jhinge posto, chicken dish, aamer chatni and mishti doi. everything was delicious...
This a totally bengali restaurant where you get every bengali food like sukto, chingri, dal with macher muro etc. A great place for hangout with family and friends. This is a very popular restaurant for all Bengalis. Bengali people who are love to eat sukto, macher jhol etc. they will surely love this.
A very famous restaurant for bengali cuisine. I visited this outlet this Sunday with my family. We ordered 2 mini thali, chicken dakbanglow, large Golda chingri and peace polao.. all are really very good... A very good place for spent a weekend with family...
Perhaps the cheapest Bhojohori Manna amongst all the other outlets....we had ordered lunch at our office. We ordered Plain rice, Munger Masoor er daal, Alu Bhaja, Chhanar Daalna, Echor Chingri, Lau chingri, Bhetki Paturi, Khejur Jalpai-Tomato Chutney, Aamdoi, Chital Macher Muitho... Amongst the pros were Aamdoi, it was just amazing and best ever tasted among all the other outlets, same goes with the paturi, Chital, and channar daalna. Others were also good, but we're disappointed with the daal as it was tooo liquidy. Besides overall the food was tasty hygienic and non-rich. The deliver was on time as well. This indeed was the best tasted Bhojohori Manna in town, I heard that they all cook at a same place and things get delivered to other outlets it that's true then we were lucky to have the best prepared food that day. Only drawback was quantity was very less for every food item. The lau chingri had only 3 piece of prawn same with echod chingri.
The reviews and the ratings for this restaurant was definitely a tempting element that made us visit it one fine afternoon. The ambience was a soothing one with some robindra Sangeet playing in the background, the staffs were very amiable, the decor of the restaurant was also very beautiful.Staying in Kolkata and not visiting this place will be a regret :').
Anewys the food we ordered were bhetki paturi, chicken duckbunglow, chicken dhania jhol,Bengali pulaw, prawn, chicken kebab and for the desert was nolen gurer icecream.Damn, the taste of the Aam pora sorbot still lingers in my tongue.
Definitely A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PLACE!!
The prices are also reasonable and the quantity is also good!!
What are you waiting for?
Just Go have all the delishes over here :')
Good ambience, foods are not so spicy, but negative part is most of the items are not available, they cook fixed foods in fixed days. Chicken only 3 items, fish few items, but so many foods are listed.
it is a great place to hangout with family...the ambiance is too good...the food quality is pretty good... specially the Bangali food is too much good...dav chingri is awesome...
If you love Bengali food, this place is a must visit. Try to visit the place for lunch as many items are not available in dinner time. I have visited this place many times. Their food have kind of home cooking style. Mochar ghonto, palang saak er chochori, kachakolar kofta, badhakopi koraisuti are very good. Try their today's special items. Generally those items are really good. I tried mulor ghonto which was really special. Among the non veg items, ilish in mustard and coconut gravy is a must try. If you are a fish lover, you will love parshe, desi tangra, bacha mach. Dub chingri and chicken dakbanglo are their much savoured items. In the desert, notun gurer ice cream, baked rosogolla and aam doi are must try. Seasonal patisapta is very tasty. Desert items are a bit costly though.
Visited only once tilm date with my family for a dineout.
Location at Star Theatre. Perfect place to eat Bengali dishes after a movie at Star Theatre.
I love their Daab Chingri, Chingrir Malaikari and Islish Bhapa. ❤️❤️
Bhojohori Manna a perfect restaurant for a Bangali Bhuribhoj 😋
Good one. Tasted here fish fry, polau, mutton duckbanglow, amdoi & nolen gur er ice cream.
Very costly restaurant. Taste & quality of food is good, but quantity is not enough to fulfill your hunger.
If visit here, must try mutton duckbanglow & amdoi.

It's not very good but yes it's good
The quality of rice was good but the negetive point is half of the dishes were not available
Dal was good
Both papda and the other chingri was good the sukto and the Dhoka was okayish ..
But the chilled pan was just out of the box must say
This place definitely serves authentic Bengali cuisine. I've uploaded only the picture of chingrir chop as I was so hungry that I forgot to take the pictures. I tried polao, aloor dum, chicken kosha, porota, luchi etc. and all the items were perfect taste wise. But they do not always have all the items available from the menu so you might not get some items that you wanna try. The same happened with me too. But overall it's alright to enjoy some family time having Bengali food at an authentic restaurant. But the prices are definitely very high.
still drooling over the combination of hate kora fulko luchi n mutton dakbanglo...
A few days back I went there to have kasha mutton but I ended up ordering mutton dakbanglo and it was just the way i wanted, red semi gravy, lip-smacking and tender mutton pieces. also had fried rice n bhetki kalia. staff was courteous n suggestive. finally saved a little room for their famous nolen gurer ice cream. n now it became my favourite ice cream flavour.
Excellent Bengali food. Sells out of popular items sometimes. Adjacent to Star Theatre and Hatibagan market area
Bhajohari Manna is one of the best known places for traditional Bengali food. We visited their Hatibagan branch. They serve a wide variety of fish and other Bengali dishes and prices were reasonable. The taste of the foods were good if not exceptional, all the foods served were fresh specially the fish items. But they don't serve any non veg thali for dine in, but take away option is available.
Really liked their dishes.... Specially the sukto and lau chingri... price is a bit high
..overall a good experience....Highly recommended
It's better not to compare with any other restaurants cause Bhojohori Manna itself is an unique brand of Bengali foods. Each and every items are more than delicious. And their service is very efficient. Staffs are humble and well behaved. They consider your needs and deliver the orders properly.
Excellent food with decent pricing 👍🏻
Bhojohori Manna, the restaurant inside Star theatre Hatibagan, north Kolkata, went for lunch myself my brother Rana and driver Papu yadav. All the menu item are not available beside all of us can't have mutton polau, one plate they had it was the last, other two pwan polau , with that dish all of us order boneless chicken korma, taste good both of plates and both types of polau but quantity is not enough at least 25% much rice is needed in polau because it is main course and there price is not humble, okay for good quality restaurants those who use to serve ample food stuff. However tasty food.I rate this restaurant 7/10 .(seven out of ten) in my personal judgement. Good but not outstanding .
Amazing Bengali food, especially the quality and taste of fish dishes are amazing, I have tasted almost all corners of fish dishes in India but this one is really different and excellent quality and taste
People who pass Kolkata should try this hotel at least once in a lifetime
Once again thanks a lot for the amazing food and taste 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Visited there for having authentic Bengali cuisine. We tried its signature dish daab chingri. It was good like I enjoyed it. It was sweet as expected. Also you will find lots of verities in fish curries. Must try its dessert mango doi which was so creamy and delicious.
'Bhojohori Manna' Hatibagan outlet is pretty busy at afternoon. We are wait approx 30mins above .
The Food is Really nice Specially the "Vetki Vhapa" I really enjoy it."Mutton kosha" is better than "Mutton Jhol" . But as a Bengali We expect the "Aalu chips vaja" should be more quantity.
The service and the stuff behaviour is really nice . They maintaining their hygienic really great.
Due to staff behaviour giving 4 star,
Good Things:
1. Quality
2. Taste
things need improvement:
1. as per price items are very less.
2. Quantity is not sufficient for a normal person.
3. Atleast provide a spoon for sweet dishes
4. Hygiene in bathroom needs little improvement.
An authentic brngali cuisine restaurant serving veg and non veg food. The quality quantity and hygiene of the food was good. They serve food with authentic taste and its amazing and a delight to the taste buds.Everyfood is served fresh and the quality of service is also very good. They do homedeliveries and takeaway also.Multiple branches are there across the city. The cost is ok and for a single person the meal will cost near about 300 to 400 Rs.Its a good place and a sitting space for 20 people is available, sometimes you may need to wait in the que for the food.
Food was good, but nothing extraordinary, it has some famous and authentic typical bengali dishes, found those really tasty. Quantity is also somewhat less than other similar restaurants, but liked it, nice ambience, well mannered staff.
