Chai lovers should go that place.. kachori was good.. i specially love that chatni 😍 staffs are good and polite
Tried out their tea along with veg sandwich and club kachauri as a part of even snack while returning from a long drive. Truely awesome in taste.
They say that your visit to Kolkata is incomplete without having a breakfast at Sharma Tea stall. I really loved the place. Its old school Kolkata vibe. The tea, the namkeen are all awesome and delicious.
This is a sweet and snacks shop mainly....located in Ballygunge are...I personally love their gulab jamun, singara...and some othe snakes... It's pocket friendly also.
I had Radha ballavi...gulab jamun...lassi and tea from this shop.
Everything was freshly made and the quality was very good. Especially I will highly recommend lassi which was only for 40 RS and it was really tasty. The gulab jamun and Puri was hot and fresh.Loved the food and also very reasonable.Must try☺️.
From hot kachori's accompanied by some sweet chutney to dahi vaara with lots of dahi (curd) ,fresh jabebi's to hot gulab jamun.
Everything comes in pocket friendly amount
Food is tasty and yummy
Pocket friendly place with all the variety of food for breakfasts n evening snacks starting from kachori, jalebi, gulabjamun, samosa and its kesar chai was a blessing to all the chai lovers out there. A very well known place for students and office goers. Completely satisfied with the food quality and service.
Very pocket friendly place with variety of choices available under one roof. This was a go to destination at one point when I was enrolled in a college around the ballygunge area.
Plus their tea is also incredible.
On of the best places for breakfast or snacks in pocket friendly price.. had their
*keshar Chai (It was lovely)
*club kachoris (tasty)
*Normal kachoris or Puri
*Amirti (As a Sweet lover It has to be great) everything I tried were so tasty.. worth trying.. and price is not also in higher side.. but one of the staffs was very rude and behaved like we were there for free service..
A busy little place, a constant flow of visitors, often driving up to the side for orders. The Kesar tea was superb, I am big tea drinker of all types especially marsala chai and the tea is heavenly, possible the best cup of tea I have ever had. We had to revisit another day to confirm it was so good. Despite being busy they were very friendly and looked after us well. A must taste sensation for a visit .
This is a fairly big shop, it sells many sweets and snacks. But the main reason why it is on our list is the tea here is very good, Taste is very good perfectly sweetened at least to my taste.
They have some benches in front of the shop so you can have a sit and enjoy your tea. If I have to name one USP of this place then apart from the taste it will be the amount of tea they give for your money. The prices start from 15 rupees and go up to 100 rupees for tea. But the middle ground I would say for 30 rupees you can get the amount which will satisfy your tea thirsty heart. Now if you want more you can try 100 rupees one where they will literally give you a big glass full of tea.
This outlet is located near the Ballygunge Hazra crossing, Ballygunge phari as it is popularly called.
That creamy lassi cost us 40 bucks. Sumptuous and fulfilling, you might consider skipping the breakfast for two of them. XD
The sweets are just as amazing. You should definitely try their kachoris.
Located at Ballygunge Phari, Sharma tea always attracts a lot of students and crowd. It’s located in the main road and hence it’s easily available. I have tried the other outlets and they taste equally well. I had kesar lassi and it was extraordinarily great.
The place is very good..
Affordable veg food..
Perfect place to have your breakfast..
The foods here are seriously awesome..
I will be visiting this place many time from now
Perfect place to have breakfast once you are bored of having the same set of things repeatedly on a loop at your home. All their items are fresh and delicious. Pricing is very reasonable. The sweets are heavenly. Had a very pleasant experience and will definitely visit again.

Went there a few days back and had their signature kachori and sabzi, jalebi and vegetable chop. It cost Rs. 40 for all the items. Taste was very good and quantity was enough to fill one person.
Kolkata is a heaven for foodies and having heard about this place a lot, went to have breakfast early in the morning.
Sharma Tea House which is famous for the Kesar Tea. With that we took Club Kachori, Kesar Lassi and some thin, crunchy Jalebis.
Prices : Club Kachori (₹30) , Tea (₹25) , Kesar Lassi (₹80) , Jalebi (₹25).
Today's breakfast was from Sharma tea and we chose onion kachoris and jalebis for the same. The onion kachoris taste really good and so do the jalebis. A perfect start to a busy day like this. :)
Yumm yummm....🤤 Best place to have garmaaa garaaam Kachodi , pyaaz kachodi. And the refreshing keshari tea. Juicy juicy Jalebis ♥️. Pocket pinch-100-150, it depends.

The humble kolkata kochuri and aloo sabzi lifts anybody's mood in the morning.
And as usual the sharma tea has been delivering them perfectly long since.
Ordered the hing kochuri and club kochuri and as expected the taste was perfect. The filling can be felt unlike other shops. And the aloo sabzi had that perfect balance of kasuri methi and ginger. Also complementing these was the imli chutney. The combination just perfect.
Located just next to the Ballygung phari petrol pump, this place is ideal for your Soulful chai accompanied with quirky bites of samosas
You can totally go for Kachoris and chaats and I've literally fallen for their creamy Lassi!
It would be better if this place has some seating arrangements
I visit this place once in every month.
For me, a perfect weekend starts with saturday morning show at London Paris( mukti world), then having the simplest but most delicious breakfast which includes puri & sabji with a large 'bhar' of chai.
#SaturturdaySorted
Must have the kesar tea here.. it will lift up your mood anytime.
Among the many varieties of sweets, I love d kesar jalebis which go extremely well with puri & sabji.
If they can arrange some sitting arrangements it will serve us better.

This hidden gem near Ballygaunge Phari is famous for its tea. Try the kesar jalebis, kesar tea, and club kachori. It's a perfect place for having your morning breakfast.
Amazing tea in Desi kulhad. Amazing samosa and kachori..made fresh and yummy..hot from the pan.the hustle bustle of people catching up over a kulhad of chai and samosa is appeasing to the eyes.
Had a gulab jamun and malpua today.. The gulab jamun was super yummy.. Soft and perfectly sweetened... The malpua was not bad but was numbingly sweet.. The samosas looked really good.. Will try it next time..
Early morning tea cravings? This should be your go to place. They make the best tea and lassi early in the morning. The kachori aloo without a doubt needs no introduction. What you must try is the namkeen and hot jalebi right out of the deep cooking pot(wok) it is too die for. This place is highly recommended! Parking is not a problem.
A regular hangout place once! Visited it after a long time while had a work nearby. Love their tea the most over years. Their club kachori bears love and sweet old memories. Lassi and chats are a must haves. Sells one of the best Bread pakoras I've had in Kolkata. Onion pakora chat and Hing kachori is another favourite. One should try their flavoured lassis.
If you are hungry this is the place for u. Hot kachories with mouth watering sabji elaichi chai hot gulam jamun so on and so forth...seating area is not available though but the food is worth visits a lot of visits I must say...
Possibly one of the best tea and snacks place in South Kolkata.....a rather run of the mill unassuming facade in the triangular junction of ballygunj and hazra law college, this place serves one of the best tea in town 😀
A favourite for morning walkers, it is open till late with its assortment of sweet and salty savouries.....the cake goes to the tea....high priced but worth it...the real kesar that goes in2 the tea makes it a connosier' s delight......
Wee bit waterlogged when it rains.....if u manage 2 park ur car...try the kesar tea at least once.....even if u can hold urself bk from the heavenly jalebis n puri et al 😀
Situated at Hazra Road, this place is a perfect one for having Breakfast. Have been there for so many times especially to have their famous Puri / Club Kachori -Sabzi - Jalebi. Ideal breakfast combination.
Also a big fan of their Dhokla , Samosa with chutney and Aloo Bonda.Their another must have is their Chai (Tea). Their regular Elaichi chai (Cardamom Tea) and kesar chai (Saffron Tea) both are too tasty to be described.
Would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
Someone arranged their khaman dhokla for me and I am grateful she did so!
Their dhoklas were pretty soft, fresh, not overly sweet, topped with neem patta and raai, served with sweet chutney – all the mandatory ingredients for a perfect dhokla – needless to say that these were pretty tasty!
Prices are pretty reasonable, quantity as well as quality served is great! Even packaging is good as well as food presentation is fine – a must visit place for a quick snack.
Looking forward to visiting them in person shortly for trying out their other delicacies!
RECOMMENDED!
Had rabri jalebi with my brothers. Too good to eat. Quality was fin. Response and behaviour of the employees were better than any other snacks shop. I hope maybe the goodwill of this Sharma Tea remains forever.
Wish to have some fresh Kachouries for your morning breakfast along with some delicious sweets and refreshing tea? Then Sharma's tea is the best place in south Kolkata for tasty kachouries, which is located on the Hazra road near Ballygunge Phari's petrol pump.
The warm and warm Kachouries along with some spicy Sabji will indeed activate your taste buds instantly. The chopped chillies, marinated in spices then served with the Kachouries; enhances the flavour of the dish. After an appetizing breakfast, the flavoured tea, which comes in a bhar will definitely refreshen your mood.
We generally finish our meal with some delicious and fresh sweets like Golab Jamun or Rabdi. One must try out this joint if dining out for breakfast and evening snacks is your daily routine.
Surprising how I never got to writing a review for this place. It's an iconic joint for the locals here. Most people used to come here for their tea and chit chat before the city was overrun with hooka parlours and cafes and whatnot. So many memories attached with this one. For starters, you get nice tea, served in an earthen cup. I've always gone here in my car, which people help you park right outside the restaurant. The best thing is that you get served right in your car as they have waiters roaming around the parked cars, waiting to take your orders. Another thing is that if you are out partying and want to eat late at night, say around 2am, you can do that here. It doesn't have an AC sitting area though. Coming to the food, you get the standard dhaba fare. Chicken bharta is nice. Do try their rumali roti chicken roll. Special mention for their breakfast, you get luchi subzi and boondi raita by around 7am.

but compared to the number of kachoris veggie was very little
kachori was good as well as the samosas.
The place to be for an all day Indian breakfast. The tea is must try 1and so are the other savouries. The kachoris and dahi vada are must tries too
A great place to satiate your kachuri cravings! Tasted there kachuris and sweets multiple times, and the taste has been same over the years! A good place for having breakfast or evening snacks the bengali way that is kachuri-torkari.
Just love the rabri lassi over there. Gotta try it if you are going. Good place to sit on the footpath and have chitchat with friends with garam garam chai and samosa. Will visit asain for sure..
This place is located at Ballygunge main road near to auto stand and mio amore . The place is extremely crowded every time with people as it’s located in main area and quality of snacks is awesome . Kesar tea and hot Gulab jamun is must if you visit this place .
This place is famous for its Kesar Chai. It was quite good a bit too sweet for me. We also tried the club kachoris. I have had far better and crispier club kachoris elsewhere but I liked their sabzi.

Dhokla, kachori and tea are must if you visit this place. This is a perfect place in Ballygunge Phari to hangout (adda) with friends along with a cup of tea.
This very famous n old place is located near Ballygunge phari patrol pump. When ever I pass this place I always try to have their tea.
I love their kesar tea.
Sharma tea is very famous in this city. It's always crowded. I frequently have tea on Sunday morning. Their tea is always good. Though I didn't liked the kachoris.
Had one of the best Chaa in the city of joy. Tried their normal chaa and it was like great. Great place for all tea lovers. Price was reasonable, only 10 bucks for medium Chaa.
Best for early breakfast after morning walks.
Serves the famous 'kesar chai' which is a must try for everyone. The best here is the kachori sabzi and the samosas. The coffee is also perfectly made.
A very famous and old shop situated just next to the petrol pump in Ballygunge phari serves amazing tea .
You can avail yourself kesar tea too .
The kachuri sabji and sweets are mind blowing and I recommend you all to pay a visit to this place if you happen to be around here .
The place with its vibes. Perfect breakfast place. Go with your partner, alone or gang and enjoy the kesar tea and club kachori . and hey jabelies are also there.😎🤘
Excellent tea and snacks at Sharma tea. Tea is always freshly made & suits the palate. Samosas can be bland, but they have other traditional snacks which are truly exceptional.
The quality of breakfast, or rather, tiffin items they serve is quite good. I am quite fond of their kachori and gulab jamun. The alu sabzi is a little bit spicy to my liking, but that's what the gulab jamun is there for.
An awesome chai and snacks joint, it serves one of the best chai and kachori in South Kolkata. A must try for all coz it's a perfect adda and chai time for all

Really over priced, but food is good. Inspite of being located near my college, people from our college prefer other food joints, mainly because of the price. However, the food you get for the price is really really good...
Small place on hazra road serving the kesariya tea. Though not a fan of milk tea ..had to visit this place. Ordered their lassi ..nice but not extraordinary...jalebi also fine. Then arrived the famous kesar cha. Loved it. And the tiny club kachori...yummy . I can go back for their club kachori again and again.
Kolkatas famous kachori sabzi at the best place! Love this place! Since childhood till this date... awesome breakfast had a simple alternative..sharma tea stall!! Add on is the tea they serve! Lovely!!
Enjoying tea on the open roadside added a unique charm to the experience. The tea itself was excellent, making it a very pleasant outing overall.
Sharma Dhaba's freshly fried stuffed hot kachoris are a sumptious evening snack!
The soft gulabjamun and jalebi are delicious.
Sharma's tea is a favourite among the age groups...
Awesome food. Tried Kachori and Samosa. It was great. Will definitely visit again
It's a local restaurant catering to have a good snacks with a good snacks and there is rush in the morning and evening , and the service and atmosphere is average.
Nice place for breakfast and everything is for Rs15 so u can choose from a huge variety’s.
The quantity of tea provided for the amount is sufficient and fulfilling. Loved it.
All the sweets are delicious here. Namkeens like Hing Kachuri, Samosa, Khasta Kachuri are the special attraction during evenings!
Teas are made as per your order (with or without sugar) & served in 3 different cupsizes, speciality is that these are served in earthen pots.
Overall a nice experience!
Love club kachori. Love hot nimki with kesar chaye. Jalebi is also nice. Crispy.
I have been visisting here since a very very long time. Morning walks on weekend with family leads us here easily. I would recommend their tea. Too good it is.
Very old shop, good quality little expensive compared to other traditional shops! Nice variety
Tea is really really . Price are a bit higher than regular tea 15 and 20 rupees , but in this price range the taste and the quality is totally worthy. Very good .
You get kachori samosa tea and everything early in the morning around 6ish.
Typical pavement chai shop. Great chai, great nimkis and good staff. Prompt service. No beggars around to bug you.
Good food quality. Excellent service. Nice location also.
A fusion of tea stall and roadside cafe; it's how I felt. Perfect for a quick snack on the go.
Beautiful place. Good atmosphere.. Quality of food
is beautiful.
