a nice place to hangout with family or friends. i liked their fish finger and bought some special tea from them. the place is quite calm and you can enjoy your own time by reading books over a cup of pure darjeeling tea
Amazing food at reasonable pricing. The fish fingers and cream of chicken soup are must tries. Ambience is peaceful , one of the best place to relax and dine in south kolkata.
A perfect ambience for enjoying your selection of second or first flush tea accompanied with warm hospitality and finger lickingly good food. A must visit for all tea lovers to soak in the typical semi-British environment. Will wait to see it flourish to fully UK style once we have the scones with cottage cream and jam!! That'll be the afternoon tea party worth remembering
The place does have a special ambience which is quite touching .I did have visited many cafeterias but this one made me so different from others one .People who hasnot visited must be ensured that they should visit atleast once to this place.

I am always on the lookout for good burgers in town and this place serves the best of them. Their chicken burger comes with fries and coleslaw and is one of the juiciest burgers in town.

Winter is my favourite season for many reasons and the main one has to be for eating piping hot food. When you get to know that First Flush 21/2 goriahut road Kolkata, 700019 has recently introduced some of the popular Calcutta Continental dishes in their Winter Menu, it is some super good news, right ?
I am sure it is, as after a lot of planning and efforts the way smoke garlic pork rost is now available here at First Flush throughout the season. Taking inspiration and giving an opportunity for people to taste something remarkably so nice is what the idea stands tall. Priced at 600 Rupees for a plate that has 1 rib pieces sitting in a thick and dark red wine mix gravy base. Pair it with house salad and you are good to go.
I simply loved it as the gravy isn't very testy and it has a delicious flavour consistently. The pork also is very tender that it just glides out of the bone at ease.
Another dish which is very interesting is the Club Sandwich This has a good portion of the served in a Plate The sandwich was 3 lear, its comes pork bacon, chicken, egg, and vegigs.tastes very nice especially for being soft and mild on flavours. The French fries served along is sufficient in this dish too. Priced at 400 Rupees , this is a good and healthy meal to relish. and the main but important part tea section, First Class, second Flush and many more tips of authentic tea.
Apart from these there are other signature dishes that can be tried out. From Grilled Fish Lemon butter sauce, Peri Peri Chicken Combo, Algerian Fish, Chicken Alkiev,Chicken Corden Blue,Chicken Burger,

Situated on a by lane near golpark, First Flush is one of those places which transcends you to an aura of romanticism, combined with great food and pristine ambience. A heaven for tea fanatics, they serve almost all major varieties of Darjeeling tea. They serve a great collection of coffee and shakes as well. The food is great, especially the cream of chicken soup with garlic bread, fish and chips, and the french fries with salsa sauce. The blueberry cheesecake is amazing as well. You should definitely pay this place a visit once. It's absolutely worth it.
Tucked in a bylane near Golpark this cafe has amazing ambience and some awesome food. This was in my bucket list for a long time. If you are finding it difficult to locate, just take the lane beside Axis Bank, Golpark. The quality and quantity of the food is good. The staffs are very courteous and polite.
We tried
Crispy Sesame Chicken : Strips of chicken deep fried and served with ketchup.
Veg Hakka Noodles : Tasted good. Quantity was enough for two.
Chilli Fish : 8 pieces of Basa cooked in spicy gravy. Tasted good.
Will be visiting again for sure.
This cafe is difficult to locate, in a by-lane. Went with couple of friends, very quiet & cosy please. Nice ambience; polite staff; F&B menu is good. Food is yummy & I took a cup of Jasmine Tea.
Taste of Jasmine Tea is fantastic yet I find price of it is bit higher side.
Have visited Pan India chai joints, large masala tea where quantity good & too many ingredients costs not more than 75/-, where a small cafe charging a small cup of Jasmine Tea 135/-, really killing.
Everything else is superb.
Team First Flush cheers, good job👍
A nice place for evening hangout.
After a hectic schedule, first flush can be the one to relax your soul either with hot cappuccino or ice tea with mint. If you want, you add some delicious snacks to it.
Everytime I go back to Kolkata, I'm amazed to find quaint new cafes in every other street - which was a rarity to find even three years ago!
I was back home for a week, when my friends decided to meet here. When I saw the shared location, I almost refused to believe there's a cafe in that tiny silent Ballygunge lane!
Anyway.
The decor of First Flush is incredibly homely, when we were there it was all deserted and we didn't flinch from making it our drawing room! The walls are adorned with the Himalayas and it's produce - the exquisite tea.
If you're a tea lover, go ahead and order, I was told that they are great. Along with that we had
🔸Pork Chops: I'm perpetually missing a good pocket friendly pork chop in Delhi! And theirs perfectly addressed my needs. It was delicious.
🔸Meat Platter: A friend ordered this, and it was usual. So was the
🔸Blue Ocean Lagoon and🔸Orange mojito that we ordered.
I have been there to attend a live musicby Sahana Bajpaie. Undoubtedly FF managed to host such great evening.
This place located in a narrow lane. They have simple decor which makes u really comfortable.
Let's talk about the Food part. It is okayish with the taste.
This is small beautiful cafe located in narrow lanes near golpark is a bit difficult to find. The small cafe with good ambiences and food. I had chicken chowmin which were much in quantity for two People. A good cafe visit.

Food is gorgeous and delicious. Was worth the wait..Yes, we had to wait an eternity after placing our order for bacon wrapped prawns and fish fingers.. That's one area where they surely can improve..The ambience is laidback and informal, staff is very courteous..Highly recommend it to other foodies :)
Amazing ambiance. One of my favourite hang outs - the variants of teas are excellent and the food is excellent. Try their omelettes - those are my favourite.
Have heard a lot about this place, so we thought of trying it out. The Giddapahar tea is a very good quality of tea, The food is good, a bit higher on the price side. Otherwise it's nice. Will try this place out once more.
Visited this place 2 days back which happened to be my first visit. Had an overall nice experience. Just one suggestion before I get to review this place. I think it would be a great idea if you guys would incorporate more tea items on the menu, though I'm not aware of the theme of the cafe(like whether it solely focuses on Darjeeling tea or not). Again, this is just a suggestion.
I absolutely loved what they had done with the place, as it looked like a residential apartment turned into a cafe. From the bamboo furniture to the pictures on the walls. Everything was beautifully organized.
We had ordered Muskatel Magic second flush at the insistence of our server(initially I had gone for Gidda Pahar). I wasn't disappointed at all. For any tea connoisseur, a visit to this place will leave you thrilled. Right from how the tea is brought to your table to how they present it. Full marks. Aroma is on point. Along with it we had ordered Cafe Mocha which was quite good.
For food we had ordered Chilly Pork and Sausage platter. I don't know how others would treat the sausages like. But the idea behind boiling it first and then grilling it worked well for me. It was served with toasted breads. The chilly pork was excellent and teamed up quite well with our beverages. Lastly, the behavior of the staff was what sealed the deal.
I decided to visit this place on the insistence of a close friend and I'll surely visit this place again.
This is a small beautiful cafe which serves some authentic tea of great quality. If you are a hardcore tea lover then this place is for you. One day I with my friend went there and ordered Jungpana first flush and fish finger. They took time to serve the food but the food was really very fresh and hot. I liked their appearance and also the quality and quantity of food.
Warm, cosy tea place. Very nice ambience. Variants of tea options. Their fish fingers were finger licking. Must go place. It’s near Golpark.
One of the most divine tea destinations in Kolkata. Love the ambience, it's cozy and comfy. Ordered two egg noodles, cold flavoured tea and black tea. It was refreshing. Hope to visit again soon.
•DECOR: Perfect for a cafe setting. The outside is also well decorated. They have kept books as well for the eaters.(4/5)
•FOOD:Ordered non veg club sandwich and shredded chicken omelette. The sandwich is one of the best sandwich I have tasted and it is a must try. The portion is quite fulfilling. The omelette was also good. It was served with two crispy toasts.(5/5)
•SERVICE: It was little slow but they were quite efficient. (4/5)
•AMBIANCE: Perfect cosy place to hang out(5/5)
•PRICE: Reasonable. INR 400.
The cafe located in narrow lanes near golpark is a bit difucult to find.the small cafe has nice ambience with good food.we had ice tea, coffee, grilled chicken sandwich and chicken wings.chicken wings were much in quantity for 2 people.spicey and tasty. A good cafe to visit.
Great place to hang out with friends. I recently went with a friend. Cozy atmosphere and ambience is good. Food is equally great. Also decor is very nice.
We visited this place during the puja days when all other restaurants were full along with a long queue. Located inside a narrow lane near golpark, we discovered this beautifully decorated place out of a blue. This place gives a feeling of home with a huge couch, books in the shelfs n many more. Coming to the food we ordered devil chicken, chicken n egg fried rice and chicken manchurian. All of them tasted delicious and mouth watering. Service too was good. Staffs were polite.
It's a nice and cosy place, the ambiance is really good. People are welcoming here. The location is bit tricky. It is on a small lane near Golpark auto satnd. The food served was decent. We ordered for sweet lime soda and pepper chicken. Both were nice. Recommended!!
Very cosy place to chill out with your gang or for a cup of coffee with ur partner. The quantity and quality of both food and beverages maintains a good standard that comes with reasonable price as well. If you are a tea lover(black only) then this place is a must visit for u. Moreover, the staffs are very courteous and always ready at your service .
Nice place to hangout. Food is great, I personally loved it. Good place for tea lover too.
When you’ll plan to visit this place, keep some buffer time in hand because it takes time to deliver the food.
I visited this place on Ashtami. I asked for the vegan menu and even though it's just a list containing the name of items that are already vegan from the main menu, it's still great to see a Kolkata cafe taking the first step. The food was good but of course, there is room for improvement. I love how they provided us wooden straws for the drinks. The ambience is homely and casual. It stands out for its awareness and conscious efforts in trying to keep up with the times.
What I like to mention first is that the atmosphere of this place..I liked this place..a homely atmosphere you people will get...staffs are really good..spacious..board games are also available..
We ordered: Veg chowmein & Schezwan Chicken
Quantity as well as quality both are up to the mark... would surely visit again..
After getting tired of waiting at innumerable restaurants.. We were finally delighted to treat ourselves at first flush... Surprised by its quality food even during this hectic rush of puja time...reasonable prices and good quantity food provided.. With well decorated ambience... Hope to visit the same soon...
Visited this cafe for having a lunch by all alone and this place is perfect for a soothing, hectic free and solitary time for me with myself.
✔️ Location and Ambiance : This place is located near Golpark. You can follow the Google map and easily reach there. The ambiance is very nice and decent. This cafe is spacious as well as perfect for a solitary food session with couple of books without any disturbance.
✔️ Foods : I opted for one of their signature dishes Grilled Chicken which contains 2 pieces of Chicken , Sauted vegetables, Rice and Mashed potato.
The whole dish was well presented and taste was too good. Each and every single item was delicious. The chicken was so tender and finger licking. I liked the sauce they served with the dish.
No doubt it's a tummy filled perfect meal.
✔️ Service : The behaviour of the staff was very good but the service was very slow. They took near half an hour to serve one dish. Price w toas quite higher but it was justified for the food they served.
✔️ My Suggestion : They must improve their time to serve the dish.
Overall it was a nice experience. I will love to visit again. Definitely recommend this place.
It's a nice and quite cafe located in Gariahat. the food available here is good. They have different types of tea available here with various grades of flush. Also the visitors can find some good books to read while having coffee. Afterall a great coffee and good book can be a great leisure. I would recommend this place for its good food, good ambience and value for money.
A little bit hard to find but after having meal worth it. We ordered 2 Chicken Hakka Noodles and 1 Manchurian Chicken. It was very delicious. The best thing I found was the decoration of the resturant. Somehow I found this place best for "adda and coffee or chai". English and Bengali books are also available as u can go through them while taking a cup of tea or coffee. Overall it is a great resturant to have your lunch or dinner or just to take a break in between your daily busy schedules.
Had visited this cafe. The ambience was aesthetic, especially because there were books to read and small corners for taking snaps! Had ordered lemon honey chicken, mexican chicken, chicken lasagne and basil chicken skewers. The food was delicious and the staff was courteous and polite as well. However the price was a little high compared to the portion served. Overall it's a great joint to visit with friends and family!
Nice soothing place to sip on some hot or cold breverage and munch on some sandwich and fries. Perfect to give adda with a friend with whom you have met after a long time. Liked their strawberry and mango shake, egg mayo sandwich and crispy chilli babycorn.
Cool place, with quaint interiors. This place is mainly focussed on exotic teas, will try out that menu when we revisit. We were short of time and wanted to have a quick bite, so we went for the basil chicken skewers and the American club sandwich. Both of them were too good, with the skewers taking all the plaudits. Tender pieces of chicken cooked to perfection on the grille, and not dry at all! These come with a side of marinara sauce which was very very tasteful.
Not fancy, very clean and homely atmosphere something which i liked a lot...
Seasame chicken: 6 big pieces of succulent crispy chicken.
Mixed Fried Rice: Quantity appropriate for two people, tastes good.
Schezwan Chicken: Not very spicy, just to the point i really liked it.
Tutti Frutti: Vanilla ice cream filled with fruits.though the ice cream was molten but i love ice cream in every form.
We kept it very simple and we were pleased with the quality and quantity of the food.
The only thing which needs improvement is service,it needs to be quicker.
Oh, such a quaint little cosy place. The staff is impeccably warm. Their selection of tea is excellent although I wouldn't recommend their coffee. We had the bacon wrapped prawns and bacon cheese balls and both of these dishes were delicious beyond words. The dip they serve along with these two items were exceedingly yummy.

Very encouraging experience. Food was great. With the right balance in taste. Certainly to be repeated.
This is a gem of a cafe, probably one of the best I have been into. One can sit here for hours munching on some tasty foods, and read the books available at this cafe. They can make a simple burger look so scrumptious and savoury. I still can't forget the delicious Peri Peri Chicken Combo I have tried here.
Clean, quite spacious and homely cafe located at the lane next to golpark Amenia. They mainly serve English and continental food with a wide range of beverages. Bacon wrapped prawn was good but could have been better had it been less oily. Cream chicken soup with garlic bread was excellent. American beer batter fish and chips was a big time turn off. French fries were typical, nothing more nothing less. They take a very long time to serve and that can be irritating sometimes, specially when you are hungry. Overall I had an okayish experience. Might go back.
This cafe has a very nice vibe and pretty interiors. Wi-Fi is in place, in case you need a place to telecommute out of that serves great teas. Out of all the beverages listed on the menu, I would strongly recommend Smoked Tea, which is a rare flavor to find in Kolkata cafes. The customer service is also pretty decent here.
The colonial ambience of this place is amazing. It is spacious has books and is the place to hang out.
We took cappuchinno, apple green mohito and roasted chicken with exotic veggies and a dip.The chicken was cooked to perfection.
Good cafe to hangout with friends and colleagues
Try out there Club sandwich, lasagna and Coffees.
There have various kinds of yummy coffee.
Hope to visit this Awesome joint again.
Love in a bylane is what First Flush has written on its board outside. It is tucked away in a tiny lane a stone's throw away from Gariahat Road. Parking is a few houses away. The tea is good. The guidance to select your tea is better. The food is well proportioned. I find it difficult to finish anything by myself - and end up over-eating. But the food is good. Try it, it is likely that you will like it.
The only downside of FF I find, is that their seating takes you away from the table. Hence you have to lean forward to eat - a minor inconvenience.
Foods are really good.. service is bit slow.. that can be because it was early morning when we are there.. otherwise its good.. nothing fancy in the ambience yet quite and classy
#essence of tea☕

..... ###Friends please go and take the essence of Darjeeling in First Flash 😍😍😍😍😇
Not a popular name. Found this in Zomato long back. There were many plans but ultimately nothing executed. But atlast we were there with a sudden plan.
This joint basically servers a variety of different tea. That is why the name is like that. With that they now servers very good quality of food. A proper cafe I would say.
Location:
___________
It is at Golpark more. A walking distance from there. Take the lane beside Mouchak, walk few metres - koshe kasa on the right hand side of you. Then take the lane from left hand side, walk a few metres, take the left turn. You are there.
Decoration:
____________
This cafe is located at the ground floor. This is basically a marbel floored room, now turned into cafe. Nothing funky and eye catchy decoration is there. But yes the different tea leaves in the glass pot, different suveniors and picture of Darjeeling will attract your attention.
I good place to hang around without much noise.
Food:
________
Beverage:
____________
✓ Irish Coffee - it serves in long glass , so the portion is huge. Tasted very nice also.
✓ Cola Float - the quantity is as usual huge. Tasted good. Nothing special I would say.
✓ Apple Mojito- Superb in tasted. Perfect refreshner.
Quick Bites:
_______________
✓ Bacon Wrapped prawn - superb is taste. Tough a bit oily. Serverd with meyonis.
✓ Chilli Pork - it was nice but could have been better. Pork was a bit stiffed.
✓ American Club Sandwich- took the 2portion. Tasted just mind-blowing. Sandwich with bacon, ham, veggies, cheese and egg with sunny side.
✓ Garlic Toast - this is not the garlic bread, rather garlic Toast. When we ordered they clearly mentioned what they serves. Tasted really nice.
Hospitality of the people over there is really nice. Very nice experience.
All that cost 1300 INR.
You should definitely give a visit there, for quality of food with a decent pocket pinch.

Hey peeps! We had ordered for Cream of mushroom soup and Bacon wrapped sausage today for the first time from First Flush. The soup was steamy and delicious, perfect for a rainy day and the bacon wrapped sausage were yumm only thing the bacon was over fried in certain places otherwise it was really tasty.
As I'm a tea person , I keep on going to places where I get to taste different flavours of teas from all over India. And this cafe was a must go to place.
Location - This cafe is a hidden gem in the bylanes of Golpark.
Ambience - A cosy , comfy and well decorated cafe is known for serving authentic tea. The seating is quite spacious. It feels like a vintage teahouse with its furniture and the books on the shelves adds brownie points for the interior.
Food - We ordered the Breakfast platter which had two pieces of crispy butter toasts, pork sausages, bacon and poached egg.
Iced Tea - It was very refreshing. Loved the way they serve the tea.
Service is good .
Pocket pinch is average.
A must visit place for the young ones as well as with your family.
Went there with my friends after work , had a nice chocolate oreo shake and my friend had a cup of smoke tea. Both tasted good price is more or less affordable.Nice ambience .

A well decorated place but a bit interior of Gariahat road. The taste and quality of the food is awesome. Ambience was very nice and soothing.
Located in a quiet neighbourhood, this place provides a solace after all the hassle to shoppers in this shopping paradise of kolkata (Gariahat).
One who visits here once will definitely make it a point for a "once again " given the food and the ambience this place provides.
Food:- we ordered Shredded Chicken omlette, Corn cheese grilled sandwich, a customised Chicken salad with minimal dressing along with a cold coffee with the perfect aroma & feel and a Blue Lagoon.
Ambience & Staff:- The gateway to this cosy cafe is misleadingly small given the space it offers..The seating is comfortable with a large collection of nice readables that can be glanced along with long chit chats..
The staff here needs a must mention with their courteous attention.
To top it all, the price of all the eateries is very reasonable which makes the place even more attractive.
I ordered a Spaghetti Carbonara (kid's portion) online. It was delivered on time. Quantity and quality were both great! The spaghetti was creamy and well seasoned. Loved the amount of bacon it had. The bread was soft and delicious. Slightly priced on the higher side but once in a while you can totally splurge. Will totally taste their other dishes!
Opted for lasagne, cordon bleu and chicken skewers and kickers. They asked us to wait for 45 minutes as they will prepare some of dishes probably from the scratch and I must say it was worth waiting. I liked each and every one of the items. Ambience was nice and cozy. Tables and chairs could have been a bit more comfortable. Overall I liked this place!!
This place deserves full marks for their ambience. As we entered First Flush we were pleasantly surprised. This place is very comfy and well decorated and has an old world charm to it. They also sell varieties of teas. And there are so many books on the shelves that you can choose from and read. Coming to the food, for starters we had Chicken cheese bombs. Although it had plenty of cheese but it lacked the spicy kick to it. Then for main course we had Chicken Stroganoff, it was pretty good. So the food is basic but good. Ambience is great and staff is very friendly.
Food : 3.5/5
Ambience : 5/5
Staff : 4/5
Pocket pinch : 4/5
Was here to hang out with my friends. This place was recommended by one of them as they had been here before. However,in accordance with her previous experience, the food was a bit disappointing.None the less, most of the items on the menu card were not avaible. However, really enjoyed the roast chicken which was nicely prepared. All tender and soft and juicy. The thumps was okayish. The skewers were a bit disappointing. The fish fingers were amazing though.Overall, not a bad experience with the food.
Tucked in an alley behind Golpark auto stand, First Flush is a decent cafe, known for serving authentic tea. Went there with a friend one evening.
● Timings: 8:00 to 22:00
● Ambience: Nice and cozy place with bengali vibes. Good spot for relaxing and chatting with friends over a cup of tea.
● Food: 3.5/5 We weren't hungry. We tried only fish fries and jungpana first flush. Fish fry was delicious and tea was refreshing.
● Price: Rs.400.00 for what we had, which is reasonable.
Good place to come with friends. It was my first time here and it was good experience. Will come back for sure to try their other items.
Tucked in the lanes of golpark, another tea place added in the list. The place is spacious and have comfortable sitting options. One can visit with group of friends and sit for hour and hour.
They have a vast variety of options in their menu. However we went for Spaghetti Carbonara (Kid's portion), believe me the kid's portion was in good quantity for moderate eaters. We also tried Orange Mojito and that was also really good.
Prices are not too high. I will surely visit again for chat sessions with my friends.
Visited this place after a 24 hour shift at the hospital for an early breakfast. They had just opened and we were the only customers.
The seating is quite spacious contrary to what I expected. It gives the feels of a vintage teahouse with it's cane furniture and the decorations.
Order- we went for cafe latte, breakfast meat platter (faint hearted variety), a classic English sandwich and plain cake.
Food-- the breakfast platter was amazing with two pieces of crispy buttery toasts, chicken sausages, pork sausage, bacon and poached egg. The sandwich had two pieces. It was like a club sandwich with layers of chicken, bacon, veggies and cheese, served with french fries. Very satisfying and filling. The cafe latte was also good. The only disappointment was the cake. They served a slice of the madiera slice from mio amore for a plain cake :(
Pocket pinch--600. So quite pocket friendly.
Staff were very cordial and polite.
Overall-- liked it. Would like to visit again to try the burgers and other delicacies.
Date:20 April 2018
Visiting this place for the 2nd time had a wonderful experience.
Nicely decorated this place is a hidden jewel in bylanes of Golpark.
Extremely polite and well behaved staff, we tries chicken hakka noodles, cheese corn grilled sandwich and Virgin Mojito all of the food was commendable and was worth a try.
I will update my review in my next visit.
One of the best places in town for anyone who loves tea!
The breakfast platter is absolutely amazing and is sure to make you come back for more. Must haves are the cream of Chicken and mushroom soup, the bacon cheese bombs, Pork Chops and Egg Mayo Sandwich. As far as tea is concerned, 'ANYTHING' is too good to try!
With more and more cafes coming up on the streets on Calcutta I wasn’t expecting anything exceptional when I first came here. But I was pleasantly surprised with the range of teas this cafe is serving. It will be best if you choose from their signature dishes in first flush section of the menu. It will be an entirely new and different experience.
Also the burgers and sandwiches were so tasty I ended up repeating my order of the American club sandwiches. And then that delicious nuttela sandwich in the dessert to end with was just the cherry on top.
Today my friend took me to this place. She visited this place before and had a nice experience. Loved the ambience. The food was also good. Loved the way they served tea!! Unique experience indeed. Looking forward to visit this place once again!!
The experience in one word is just fantastic. We just loved the decor, theme and the ambience.
The food was really good...both Chinese and Continental... from the starters to the main course, but the smashing hit was the tea... simply overwhelmed.
We ordered Arya Jasmine and Gopaldhara Second Flush... both were uniquely awesome.
For the starters, we had Crispy Chill Baby Corn and in the main course we tried Grilled Fish, Chicken Stroganoff, Egg Chicken Haka Noodles with Lemon Honey Chicken and Spaghetti Carbonara.
The only thing a bit disappointing one was the serving time which was way too long that kept us waiting.
Poila Boisakh was truly global...!!!
Soothing ambience. Fresh and fulfilling food. Refreshing tea. What more can you ask for? Price is very reasonable. There is an overall cozy vibe that comforts your mood.
For tea lover's it is no less than a paradise. Loads of options on the menu; the taste and the quality lives upto the expectations. I am a novice tea drinker and have little expertise on the varieties of tea.
We ordered an Ice Tea, Smoked Tea (speciality) , Crispy chilly mushroom and Bacon Cheese Balls.
I can recommend Smoked Tea for the taste as well as the preparation and the way it is served at the boutique cafe.
Mushrooms could have been more crispy while the Ice Tea and Bacon cheese balls were among the good selections.
Books adorn the walls along with blank and white city snapshots. Moreover the cafe is spacious and the staff is adequate. Kudos and thanks for the sevice.
If you are looking for a laid back, English breakfast in South Kolkata, head to First Flush. From the food to the staff, you will come back for more. Close to a prime location, yet hidden from the crowd and noise, this is the perfect place for a private breakfast or lunch date.
I was rushing from one place to another and had to meet some people in the Golpark are and while waiting for them, stumbled upon this delightful place. The Cafe was quit and the staff was very friendly, I ordered a chicken sandwich and a coffee as I needed a quick bite. The sandwich was actually quite huge and they filling was fresh and tasty. Excellent bread, it was soft and fresh. And for a tea place, they actually made a very nice coffee. I loved the images of the hills on the walls, the place looks like the inside a of a hill bungalow.
Very pleased with my dining alone experience as the staff made me quite comfortable. I should hit this place sometime with a nice book and spend some time there.
Cheers!
This is a small beautiful cafe at a by lane near Golpark. It ll not be easy to find it without the help of the google map.
The interior decoration z quite impressive. The walls r decorated with pictures of hilly people, colorful teapots n a book shelf with so many books to read!! But the seating arrangement needs to be improved a bit. The tables r too small n seats r not comfortable.
Service was prompt initially, as we were the lone customer there. But with more customers coming during the evening hours, the service became terribly slow!
Food n beverages- We had Americano n double kit kat shake. Americano was good. But the kit kat shake was pretty average n I felt it was overpriced. We had cream of mushroom n chicken soup. It was so creamy. I just loved it.
Then, we ordered for dried chilli lamb. It was cooked really well. I loved the lemon flavour in it. We also had Spaghetti with meat balls. The spaghetti was cooked well but the meat balls were over fried n the taste was not good. We opted for a full portion but what they served was merely a kid's portion.
Overall a good time spent there. But surely there z plenty of room for improvement of the food (especially the portion size).
This is our first visit to the place n i must say its awesome!! Excellent ambience.. excellent food..must try bbq pork ei and chilli lamb😍😍.
Must visit!
A gem tucked in the gullies of Gariahat.
Ambience is very charming. You have bengali books on the side for browsing. The waiters are courteous and the service though a bit late was nice

1) Iced Tea Lemon flavoured (3) It was good.
2) Chicken fried noodles (3.5) The quantity was good and the taste was very good. Just like in any good chinese resturant
3) Cheese cake (4) It was very good and yummy.
The tea was good but I think its a tad overpriced (am a regular at mrs magpie, mud etc) for 180 bucks I think it could have provided a pot for two.
The cheese cake was rs 210 (it was not in the menu) which I felt was a bit high too for that size.
A nice little place hidden in the corner. Trying to find it the first time is a little difficult, and you have to really look out for the signs, but once you locate it, the door itself gives you a feeling of finding something new. We went there for the breakfast and tried their meat platter. For all the meat lovers it's definitely something to try. A full course breakfast (sausages, sunny side up, toast and bacon) along with tea/coffee really makes your day. The price is reasonable and the ambiance, altogether, not bad. You can sit and chat peacefully without all the noise and horns of moving vehicles. At least in the morning. Altogether, a nice place to try and definitely a good place to try breakfast early in the morning if you are looking for a place close by (of course for people living around deshopriyo, gariahat side)
Amazing Ambience! Very courteous staff.
The cafe is quite spacious but is tucked in the narrow bylane beside Axis Bank Golpark.Opens at 8 am.Standard of hygiene is good.
Food is average. The prices are very reasonable.Tea is awesome.A nice peaceful setting to spend time,by oneself, with a friend or two, or with a crowd.

An outlet almost everyone have heard of or been to once at least. A very simplistic decor and spacious interiors makes the seating experience a bliss. Very courteous and well behaved staff takes care of every small need. Locating this place can be a bit tricky. Whenever I go to this place it feels magical. The entrance with a bright red door feels like the place is gonna be a small narrow cafeteria but once you enter it's like a whole new world. A huge room with 10-20 seating arrangements. A perfect place for hangout and Adda. The first flush tea is best. Other than that they offer many other items which are lip smacking as well. Pocket pinch is not so much. The only sad thing is that the place is crowded most of the time so for a introvert person like me talking with friends becomes a bit difficult in such situations.
If you are a tea lover then this place should be your first preference, though variety of teas are less. They should increase the tea flavours. The ambiance is very calm and cool. You can do your work from here while having continuous cups of tea and snacks. I have tried the first flush ( Giddapahar) and Nimbula Moonshine(light and cool). Mixed Thukpa is also very tasty.
Wonderful ambiance. Homely atmosphere. Excellent quality of food at a reasonable rate. Must must try their tea it's just awesome.
Good place to hang out and spend some time with friend and family
Food is okay.Tea is good
We tried snacks only .
We ordered first flush tea and Chicken roulard with French fries.
Taste ,portion was good
This place is located at golpark and a true hidden gem. First flush has a very cozy ambience and great food. Prices are like any other cafe these days.
Their fish finger, hot chocolate, strawberry fizz and mainly tea are good to try.
Calcuttans thinks of a tranquil ambience with their favorite tea and a sophisticated ambience - First Flush offers everuthing.
Located in a bylane in Golpark. Exhaustive range of handpicked Teas, Sumptuous Continental spread.
First Flush Tea
Spanish Omelete
First Flash... It is a nice place. Quality of tea and food is just fantastic. It is also Pocket friendly. Beautiful ambience. Here you can easily hang out with the aroma of tea.
One of the best affordable cafes of south Calcutta. Well soothing decor not so hyped but a cozy comfortable place to lay on a couch and chat with your friends and enjoy.
Coming to the service it's super fast, the cost is quite minimal compare to others cafes near to that place and the taste is yum too❤
First Flush - a newly adorned cafeteria with homely decor and nice atmosphere. You can get different flavours of tea, lattes and cappuccinos and as well as various shakes and mocktails. The non-veg starters are real good. If one is okay with pork, then bacon wrapped chicken sausages should be a must for him/her. Fish fingers tasted fine, and chicken wings were yummy! To sum up, a commendable place to visit with family and friends, and our entire experience was good.
The only setback was the service was a bit slow and time-consuming! Other than that ... no complaints! Give it a try😊
If you want respite from toxic playlists and love a quaint corner and enjoy quality food at a reasonable price, you will come to First Flush. The hosts are adorable and make you feel like home. A place to spend quality time with your hand-picked friends, telling esoteric tales from the books they sell.
Most favourable place for tea lovers. Excellent quality and reasonable price.
When my mind and my soul becomes restless for Darjeeling, but my time doesn't permit me to go there, I always reach out to First Flush.
Besides the liquid gold to sip, the platters are also too good!
We usually do not get pastry at First Flush. It is the best shop for having a variety of Darjeeling tea. It's absolutely heaven for tea connoisseur. However, on request they arranged for a birthday cake and it was awesome. They went beyond their limits to create the perfect ambience and make us feel at home. A more detailed review is upcoming.
Lovely place to sit and chat during day time. It's spacious and doesn't have obnoxious music blaring into your ears. There are lots of books to glance through and buy as well.
The omelettes are delicious, the thukpa bowls filling, the bacon wrapped pork is mouth watering! Even the burgers and sandwiches are well made. The grilled fish also gets a mention. And of course their teas, try them.
The menu though is on the costlier side of budget, most of food item is worth it.
Though I dislike the amount of pasta they provide, its way less then other joints, it's tasty but insufficient for a split or share. And spaghetti with meatball is to be avoided at all cost.
Nice place!! Love there atmosphere!! The tea is too good.
Tea time hangout place, great variety of tea options freshly made from the first flush ( first tea leaf). Soulful ambience , spacious cafe, good service and average price rates are the characteristics of the cafe. Do visit if you are in the vicinity.
We found this cafe suddenly and it was amazing. The ambience paired with excellent tea options makes it worth an experience. They offer quite a good number of first and second flush, along with other hot and cold beverages. What really surprised me was how amazing the food was. They have excellent menu and is a must visit if you want to get away from the choas of the city and enjoy good tea.
The food is quite reasonable and tasted well enough. Place is quiet and would be a good option for people planning for a meet.
A children's restaurant where you can have your casual chatting, serious business discussions and even romantic discourse. Thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and the people around. So helpful and assisting. My 4.5 years old daughter played with clay and puzzles, read books and loved ham, sausage infused chicken omelet. They have many exclusive dishes and prices are little on higher side. As this is not a four or five star rated restaurant, without parking, they should work on little reasonable pricing!

A boutique tea shop tucked away in the lane between Ganguram and Axis Bank was a surprise find. A wide selection of food, great selection of teas, and you can get to buy Darjeeling tea here as well. The service is also very good
