I cannot follow my template for writing reviews for Arun Tea Stall, because it does not offer a place where you can sit and enjoy their fare. Rather I would talk about my experience of standing on the footpath and enjoying their offerings like everyone else of this extremely popular joint.
Located in a 'choumatha' on Shakespeare Sarani, this is an extremely popular joint for all classes of people. A small shop which does not give away the fact that it probably sells more than a couple thousands teas a day, you would be surprised to see the number of luxury cars which has parked just to enjoy a sip of their tea.
Their menu is limited. Tea, coffee, kachori, club kachori, gulab jamun, jalebi, bonda. And all of them have prices higher than regular 'tapris' around Kolkata. But the manager states, 'Kom khan, but valo khan' which roughly translates to, 'Eat less, but eat well' and the less number of menu items is definitely not a detriment to their business from the number of patrons I saw on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
The hygiene is definitely iffy and the prices are on the higher side.
Notwithstanding those facts, I will still be back because the tea was one of the best I have had in Kolkata.
Always order ,my favourite club kochiri

One of the oldest tea shop in the area...
This shop is located near the back gate of Xavier's...at the juncture of Shakespeare Sarani...at a stone throw distance from Shakespeare Sarani PS...
Tea is available here in only one size...XL...
Tea is prices at Rs. 40 and is available in a kulhad of the size of a soup bowl...
Also to try out is their Kachouri, Jalebi and Samosa...one Samosa & Jalebi would be enough with the amount of chai that they give...
They also sell sugar free tea...
They serve food items in eco friendly utensils made of saal leaves 👍👍...and there are dustbins for garbage disposal
it is by far the best tea I have had and it cost just 15 in a decent size clay cup also their packing is awesome
Arun tea stall is a small stall located in the lane opposite to Hindusthan Dhaba, theatre road. There is always a crowd of people having tea and enjoying the other snacks which the stall offers.
The club kachoris and the jalebis are a must try.
ATS is quite famous for its tea and snacks.
The place is known for kachori sabzi and samosa. It has major crowd on all times of day. Even samosa which they serve is good. Though the place is running busy all the time the quality of food is maintained.
A good place to order savouries.
I had a very good time sipping chai at ATS. Heard a lot about this place from locals and read good reviews. So when K visited Kolkata in July had to go and try their snack. And trust me this place is lit.
Looking for a place to have delicious breakfast ? This place is for you. Do visit this place and try their club kachoris and jalebis

Best Kesari Chai in Kolkata! Hot, fragrant and frothy - it's a drink that soothes the soul on a chilly December morning!
Ordered 2 plates of club kachori along with 5 gulab jamuns from this place, kachoris were soft and fluffy, resembling phuchka. The sabzi was made of alu and chana, tasted good. Best was the gulab jamuns, so soft and melted in the mouth, awesome taste.
One of the best chai of the city. You will love the after taste. The samosa and kachori are equally worth mentioning. Good value for money. The crowd in front of the shop will say it all.
One of the best chai i ever had in my life. If you ever come across this place then have their kesar cahi. Also if you live in kolkata you've to try this place atleast once.
Its a few mintutes walk from camac street pantaloons.
Arun tea stall was recommended to me by friend as one of his Adda during his college days. It's also very famous with lots of news articles dedicated to it, which is proudly displayed by the owners.
It is a small shop with Samosa , Mirchi Pakora , Kesar Chai and other items like the butter toast.
We tried the famous Kesar Chai which was tea prepared with lot of tea leaves and a pinch of crushed Kesar on top, the taste of the tea was good .
The samosa and the mirchi Pakora too were decent. It's a nice place for a evening snack or a cup of tea with friends.
I love this place , i'm chai holic, and I travel to have their chai. I tried their Kesar chai , gulab jamun , club kachori and khasta kachori. The tea was fantastic and it has rich flavour of elaichi and the combination of Kesar chai and khasta kachori was next level. And i suggest for the chai lovers out there.

Their chai and snacks are to die for! 😍 even their breakfast menu has a alot of options which are all very tasty but of course not the healthiest option for breakfast.
It is situated a few minutes walk from theatre road A.C market. The kesar chai was amazing. The club kachori and sabzi was delicious. And finally had some hot jalebi.
Recommended.
Their club kachori is good. They give 10 small puris with bhaji-both satisfying and delectable. Samosa is even better. The filling is different and instantly impressive.
The BEST tea.. I repeat the BEST.. Place :- Arun tea stall, a few minutes walk from maidan metro..
It's provides you with normal medium tea for ₹15.. it has a rich flavour of elaichi.. and it's totally worth the distance.. must try if you are a tea lover!
Also tried club kachori (5pcs) -₹30 which was nothing special..
But last but not the least the GULAB JAMUN (₹15), it was mouth watering, it was so soft that it just melted in mouth..
Ordered for Club Kachori. The Sabzi was delicious. It had potatoes and Kabuli chana and small Paneer pieces in it. The Paneer pierces are avoidable. The kachoris were crisp. Enjoyed 😊
"Kesar Chai" Yes that is what comes to my mind the moment I talk about this place.
It serves the best Kesar Chai along with a few snacks items which compliments tea.
One must try the Kesar Chai that is mandatory.
Start your day with the most widely consumed drink in the world, after water. ChaiHoJaye😉
Located at the end of lane opposite to Xavier's backgate, Arun Tea Stall commonly known as ATS is always crowded by students from various colleges in the vicinity. Famous for their tea, samosa, kachodi sabji, gulab jamun & jalebis. Pocket pinch is minimal. This place is clearly a "Chota Packet Bada Dhamaka!"

Their signature Kesar Tea is the showstopper. Love the accompaniments which they serve starting from the sumptuous Kachodi Subzi, Jalebi to other evergreen nibbles, this place leaves me awestruck everytime. ATS is now a brand in itself with the extravagant quality, quantity and taste of delicacies they provide. Recommended.

Tried their Kesar Chai and Club Kachori.
The kachori were too chewy but the subzi served with it was good.
The Kesar Chai blew my expectations. The flavour of kesar combined with the chai complimented each other.. It was great!
Kesar Chai - ₹30 for medium and ₹50 for large.
Club Kachori was ₹30 for 5pcs..
Overall a mixed experience....
Loved the kesari tea there. Also tried the mini kachories and chilli pakora. They were average. My friends tried the malai toast but those weren't good, according to them. would visit again for the tea.

What's in your breakfast🍳☕. Mine consist of kesariya chai, jalebi and club kachori from arun tea stall.
Location: opposite lane of st Xaviers clg backgate their kesariya chai it's best in India. The Jalebis were soo Crips and the club Kachoris are one of the best in town. It's budget friendly too. The service and the behavior of the owner and the shopkeeper is too good.
This is a must go place for breakfast or evening snacks!!
Rating: - 10/10 (highly recommend)
This place is kind of nostalgia for almost every public in Central Kolkata. Wither it is breakfast or evening snacks, the small quick bite item from this place is just a blend of emotions.
Few days ago I was pretty much surprised to see that Uber Eats is delivering from this outlet to my home. Well College Street is really far from this place but when Uber is giving me offer when why to loose it!
Ordered one plate club kachuri from this place. The plate consists of 10 club kachuri with curry. It costs me 39 rs only. Thanks to Uber for this offer. The kachuri was perfectly created. Not oily, not pressed. It was really a amazing experience to have it as your evening snacks.
Overall a good dining experience from this place as always.

Located in Shakespeare sarani, it is a famous place that serves typical Indian sunday breakfast that is kachori, sabzi and jalebi with chai.
Kachori sabzi(₹30)-Kachori was crispy served with green chillies.
It tasted quite good.
The Kesari chai(₹40) - It was just like normal chai taste wise.
Although, it had sitting arrangements on the day we went which was a Sunday, it was crowded.
The tea is really very nice.Mini kachoris and samosa are also good in taste. They serve hot samosa and kachori. You will order kachoris and they will fry them in front of you.Tea is the starred item of this place.
Pocket friendly place to start your day. I ordered Club kochuri 10ps. It was fried very well and taste was great. But size was a bit smaller than any other place.
The chai is amazing at this place. I do not like the club kachori from ATS,Kolkata but I love their Jalebi and Gulab Jamun and also their veg paties. It is just mouth watering everytime you eat it.
Rs. 10/- for each jalebi and gulab jamun
Rs. 25/- for each veg patty
Arun Tea Stall is a small joint located at Shakespeare Sarani at Theatre Road known for its street food. I have tried many items here and really enjoyed all of them. You must try Club Kachori, Jalebi, Kesar Chai and Gulab Jamun.
Small place but it's food items taste great and price is also pocket friendly. It's club kachori and jalebi is great. Specially it's chai love to have its chai.
Awsome chai . I had kesar chai which was really good .It was on my wishlist . I went here on 2nd feb 2019, in fine evening . Crowd is specially of college student .
This tiny joint is strategically located at theatre and is crowded all throughout the evening.....
Serves tasty snacks and tea.....there are options for both regular and kesar tea....
Snacks range from samosa,Kachori, club Kachori and jalebi.....
Pure value for money, however one might not expect an elite treatment as the staffs are always in a rush due to the heavy crowd...
Overall would surely recommend.....
Club Kachori, priced at 30, at this gem of a place was completely heartwarming for a hungry soul. The kachoris are kinda crisp with a soft inside and the sabzi goes perfectly well with the same.
Jalebi at 15/- is equally tasty.
Regretting missing the gulab jamus. Will go back again surely!
Bliss.

kachuri was little hard, try to make soft
One star less as the jalebi was not warm.
Your search for the best Gulaab Jamun in Kolkata ends here ! Other must try items include their Club Kachori and Kesar Tea. Pricing is extremely reasonable. No seating available. Usually crowded.
Childhood i was spent there wid my friends, street shop wid amazing kachuri nd gulabjamun nd tea. really tasty they serve, staff behaviour was good, recmnd every people to taste there kachuri.
I recently ordered Club Kachoris from here via zomato and it really tasted good. Though the size was a bit small but otherwise it was fried well with no extra oil pouring down.
A very popular tea joint located on Hungerford street and Theatre road crossing frequented by office goers and students alike. Very popular for Kesar Tea which I found quite unique and a must try at Arun Tea Stall. I tried the club kachori and gulab jamun and both were pretty good and reasonably priced. Their jalebi and samosas are also quite popular.
Popularly known as ATS..this joint serves one of the best tea you will ever have. Also serve samosas, toast and kachori sabji that's mouth watering. 😋
The kesar chai is amazing. It is a must try. It’s better than all the other popular joints. It’s worth having this tea roadside.
And the Puri sabji is just so tasty. Small Puris with aloo ki sabji is tempting and really delicious.
The surrounding might not excite everyone, the food would for sure! .
Heard a lot about this place from friends so dropped by the place recently on a early morning for some Keshari tea and Club Kauchori.
Early morning Kesari Tea gives you absolute freshness and swings your mood. Loved it. ❤️
And the Club Kauchori and hot Aloo sabji they serve is perfect for breakfast.
Being a tea lover, Arun tea stall is one of my favorite place. Specialty was saffron( keshar) tea and kachories. This is also a very good place for snacking in a very reasonable price. The food list was very interesting. Must go......
First on our list is Arun Tea Stall. This place is fairly famous among chai lovers in Kolkata. This a small shop operated by 3 or 4 men there is no seating arrangement but still, whenever you visit this place you will find it crowded. The only reason for it getting so much popularity is the flavour of their tea. They offer tea in 2 options according to the amount of tea, one is medium and one is big. The speciality of this place is the Keasar Chai(saffron Tea). They put saffron to give it a beautiful aroma and the taste gets a very soothing touch because of it. The price of the medium tea is 30 rupees and big is for 50 rupees. They also have some snacks which you can eat with tea like kachori, samosa, gulab jamun etcetera. So if you visit the Kesar chai is a must try.
Awesome place for piping hot Kachoris, Samosas and the best Gulab Jamun in the city. Everything is freshly made. Their Kesar tea is to die for. Genuine and nice people running this ever crowded tea shop with smiling faces. Prices are also reasonable. Must visit.
The Kesar tea is an absolute must-have!!!! Amazing junction for breakfast and snacks. Loved it! Perfect place for all the chai lovers. They also provide takeaway, which is simply great.
Go and have tea at this small yet amazing place. All the snacks are good and the Kesar tea is really flavourful. If you are a jalebi fan then try that too.
First time visit a Arun tea stalll up to the mark there tea I try keariya tea it's very tasty and there samosa and aloo sabji with kachori it's also up to mark not any complain for my side good one ☝️
Had their kesar tea and hing kachori few days back. Kachori was made with black cumin or kala jeera and it tastes different. Most importantly it doesn't cost even 100 rupees for two of us. So delicious mouth watering food options for such a less amount. Must visit this stall whenever you go near park street or maidan area.
Tried their club kachori and gulab jamuns today. The portion was good. Packing was excellent and most importantly Food was tasty. Loved their kachoris ( served with "alur torkari") and their gulabjamuns are to die for.. they prepare truly awesome soft gulabjamuns. Overall a great breakfast joint. Looking forward to order more.

The tea joint is in a narrow road. Walking distance from park street.
Parking - the most difficult task here
Food -
I ordered tea and jalebi.
The taste of tea was amazing and jalebi was crispy and finger licking.
I enjoyed going to this joint.
Ambience - Small outlet with no seating
Service - self service
Price- average
I have tried their club kachori, hing kachori and jalebi and they are all really good. I am especially a fan of their jalebi.
Very tasty and healthy tea prepared by Arun tea Stall. Today We 2 frnds ordered tea with some snacks. Taste of tea is superb as recommended by top foody in Kolkata. I will try to connect again with ATS theater road
Had ordered Hing Kachori and Jalebis through Swiggy. The Kachoris tasted super. Jalebis were quite crispy. The best thing about the food is that it's really easy on the pocket and delicious at the same time
The saviour of the morning going college students, this place serves the best tea you can get in the morning you can get anywhere in Kolkata. Along with that it is also famous for club kachori and hot piping kesar jalebis, the ones you can't just resist. Students and office goers all flock to this stall near Xavier's college.

Must try " kesariya Tea with butter toast"✌
The renowned breakfast at Kolkata Club consists of Kachori and Chai, known for their delightful flavors. While the establishment may appear somewhat rundown, it may not be suitable for those who prioritize hygiene. However, I'd gladly sacrifice some hygiene for the authentic and traditional morning breakfast experience it offers.
The place is built for midnight chai lovers. Kesar tea, normal tea , singara, kochuri is available whole night.
The store is situated on the road and easily accessible through SSKM or Elgin. Taste and quality is really good over here and the local people are pretty cool.
The tea and snacks you get are amazing. Their customer service is quick. The issues would be no place to park your vehicle or sit.
All items and specially the tea are just fabulous. Had ordered it on zomato also for home delivery and it was awesome how they package the tea and send it. Also try their hing kachori, can vouch for it to be one of the best in the city. Pair it with their jalebi and chai, and you get a killer breakfast combo, or in my case a brunch combo 😁
Arun Tea stall serves the best kesariya chai. Love their butter and malai toast.
Their club kachori and jalebi are also hit!
Excellent kesar tea. Others were relishing toast, kachori etc. This is situated in a popular street side eating area best witnessed in the morning. There are 4 well known shops- Arun tea stall, Chaurasia, Anna Rao and hunger food stall at the cross roads of Shakespeare sarani and hungerford Street.
Must visit area in the morning to feel the vibe of it.
A must visit place for Chai lover . This tea is really very good also the club kachori with alu ka sabji and jalebi. But those items are little bit expensive.
Words can't describe how amazing the Chai is at Arun's tea stall. Worth the hype, worth the wait. A must try for sure.
Great taste at affordable prices. A must visit for Chai lovers. Do try the Kesar tea.
Best place to have Breakfast superb Kesar Tea and Club kachori. Samosh is also nice. You will get bread toast as well. And crispy Jalebis are the ones to die for.
I got to know about this tea stall through a food vlog and early morning I took a cab and went there. The place had a pleasant vibe, staff were very polite and tea was awesome, the kesari chay was one which I haven't ever tasted in my entire life. Must go.
One of the best places that has a peculiar essence of Xavier's back gate. In the morning the fiery hot club kachori with curry has been one of the most memorable food that made me go back to my college days.
But the best seller is and always has been the Chai. Be it morning or the evening, their tea can make you better anytime.
Street food is best at Kolkata. Arun tea stall is one of them. Testy kachuri, jilabi, Gulabjamun, tea is avl in the shop. Good number of crowed always. Fast delivery. Always supplied hot fresh food. Price is in slightly on higher side due to good quality food.
