It was Christmas Eve!
To start off with the review I'd like to address the fact that it is quite a decent place to hangout and enjoy with your buddies especially if you have a reason to celebrate.
Coming to the food,
..we ordered Classic LIIT and Copper Monkey along with Pepperoni Picante Pizza to begin with. Then I had a "Trump's card" which had vodka as its base. Here I should mention how much warm the staff was given the overall scenario on a busy night like 24th itself. Service was pretty fast.
Just when I thought I shouldn't order no more, the idea of tryin' out their new launch, "MAANGA" was tempting enough to cause a dilemma. Well, to replenish my desires I let go of myself and did get my very own share of the cocktail; refreshing, , on-point with summer and lives up to the name.
Did a few shots of Kamikaze and Jager Bombs and was done for the night.
I do recommend this place if you do not have a tight budget.
Loves the place to the core. Absolutely loved the music, service was top notch and staffs were very co-operative. We ordered a peperroni pizza which tasted better than most pizza chains and the crust was yum. Moreover, i liked the fact that they serve a wide range of beers and whiskey which is decently priced. Kudos to the people for developing pub culture in kolkata and that view of Victoria Memorial is wow.

It's one of the best place in town, ambience is cool, outside view is awesome, music and love karaoke is spontaneous, staffs are helpful, food is yummy, drinks are bit expensive for me...
It was my 4th visit to this place. This weekend that is on 3rd i went there alonf with my 5 more friends and celebrated my birthday.i was an awesome experience.we stayed there For nearly 5hrs.great music.great food and lovely ambience.a must visit for everyone.
Too good. Awesome ambience at roof top. Food is also very good. Specially u can try the butterfly chicken. � simply wow. :) But one small suggestion to the management : "You should start offering corporate packages". :)

This place is one of the coolest one if you're looking for one around park street and camac street! the music was hip and so was the food! try out the ribs and chimichuri chicken if you're here! the dinks were also very much refreshing! one can never say no to coming back to this place again and again !

To summarise, it’s a must visit place, at least one for the fact it has an amazing front line view. Please to try the butterfly chicken n Corn chips.
Shisha n liquor both are moderately price so it’s not a huge pocket pinch.
What do I say about the ambience one of the best in Kolkata. With the music and the deemed lighting it's beautiful.

Review #850 – It’s indeed a special number and hence, it calls for the review of a very special place - Monkey Bar based somewhere in the Camac Street locality!
This place needs little introduction – indeed, one of the best cafés in town, especially in terms of food quality and taste!
Since I was craving some desserts, hence, went for a delivery of a Nutella and Old Monk Cake – which had a whole lot of Nutella & Chocolate! It was nicely packed and served along with a scoop of ice cream with choco rice sprinkled atop – which indeed went pretty-well with the above cake! The presentation was just splendid and easily 1 of the best I have ever seen - the cake looked like a million bucks!
Packaging was just excellent – tamper proof and spill free! The cake was a tad too rich and perfectly complemented the ice cream, also, it was just excellent on a standalone basis as well!
Perfectly content on counts of food quality / quantity / taste / innovation / packaging – they literally tick all the boxes – except the price tag – which is very high! However, they compensate the same with the experience they offer!
Cheers to this place and warm handshakes to the management for setting such high standards in the hospitality sector!

The restaurant was quite impressive. I can write all the facts that is good but obviously it was not crowded like it used to be because for the pandemic but their food and taste is all thumbs up. And the view is really beautiful from the side as you can the 42 kolkata , victoria memorial, chathedral and many others throughout the horizon . So its beautiful and stunning with Interior decorations also . I just have some issues with the lighting in the restaurant and the glass they serve in. Other than it's worth a visit. I ordered some:- I) virgin mojitos II)Hot wings III) chili cheese rolls IV)Chicken tikka pizza V) mushroom and truffle oil.
The place is a nice hangout zone with friends. The food was also quite good but they should consider more variation in it. I loved their cocktails variety. Loved the view from the windows. Overall the experience was nice.
The DJ is my very close friend , love to visit this place specially on weekends , good crowd , best music in town.

It is quite spacious as well with plenty of room for many, both big or small groups and all of these culminate into a fantastic and memorable atmosphere. The quirky wall arts and chalk boards the space oozes fun and casual vibes. The dedicated bar on the rooftop has all types of drinks like cocktails, mocktails and hard drinks like scotch and whiskey, beers are available. It also has an open-to-sky terrace for hookah, which is where we jumped in😎 This place with chilled out ambience is perfect for your evenings At the evening hours the DJ music playing at the background transforms into it to a different place. There is live music setup which well suits with the rooftop ambience. The service of the place was pretty good. ⚜️ Corn and Cheese Nuggets- These starters were just too good and yummy in taste. It is full cheesy affair.
⚜️ Hot wings- Perfect starters to have with the drinks. The chicken wings were so delicious. This starter item was really yummy, and it went really well with drinks. It was served with cheese dip.
⚜️ Harissa Chicken and Salami 🍕- The perfect thin crust pizza for the evening 😍 We will surely fall in love with this pizza made with chicken tossed in chilli harissa, chicken salami and pickled onions. This pizza was full of mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
The food was delectable, and drinks were satisfying, and the rooftop atmosphere was amazing like always💙 A perfect place to chill with friends over drinks and good food.
💰 Pocket pinch: - Pinch for two is ₹ 1400 - ₹ 1500 for a great experience. The pocket pinch is bit high, but every bit of it is worth the luscious food and drink served.
▶ Overall: -Overall my experience had been memorable and nice one. With a view of a kind and jaw dropping ambience, Monkey Bar is one of the more intriguing places I have been to lately. This place surely grabs by recommendation. It is a must visit place in the town! Highly Recommended place to all! Come here to enjoy your moments 💙
We went there just before a day or two of Christmas. ... & for that the place was highly decorated.. We ordered a variety of starters, mocktail, cocktail, main course & also sisha. Evrything was upto the mark. Overall nice experience

Situated at the top floor of Fort Knox building.. Quite Large it is.. They have an inside part and also an outside part where you can smoke.. The view of the city from there is quite good.. You can chill as long as you want.. The Ambience is quite impressing..

Their quality of the food is up to the mark , the pizza was very tasty cheesy and soft , Except the nuetella old monk cake , i personally did not like it thought to be better... Otherwise they maintain cleanliness and hygine which is very important....

Monkey Bar is one of the best pubs in Kolkata. It is situated in the camac street area on the top floor of fort knox mall. This place has an amazing ambience. Services and Behaviour of the staffs of this place are also very good. Its a great place to spend time with friends. I tried there Chicken Tikka Pizza, Laal Maas Phulka Tacos, Chicken Pasta in Mixed Sauce and General Taos Chicken. All the items are extremely delicious. I will love to visit this place again.

If this place doesn't deserve a five star, which will. Open terrace with a view of Victoria and cool breeze. Went in for dinner, the service is good and fast. Every other thing we ordered was better then the previous one, ordered a onion cheese kulcha, which was so brilliant, sweet cheesy and filled with onion's at the same time, served with chole and pudhina chutney, it's for sure a must order everytime you visit this place. The next thing we ordered was cheese corn nuggets, definitely the best nuggests we had tried. Tried what Zomato suggetsed us to a butterfly veg, butterfly shaped fried taco filled with goodness, which is also filling. Every dish was (5/5). We then went to desserts, ordered a Nutella and old monk cake, the pastry was so dark and satisfying, every bite was a blissful delight. Had to order another dessert, then ordered a sundae sandwich, which was basically a vanilla based icecream sandwich served on the bed of a caramel based cake. Topped with tuti fruti which can be avoided on it along with jelly and other stuff was also great.
This place is definitely one of the places I want ro revisit. Kuddos guys

Monkey Bar is an aesthetic bar and restro with prompt ambience. The Nacho-Nachos were generously baked in cheddar cheese and exotic veggies, seasoned with black pepper and spring onions. A perfect munchie for passing around while gossiping with your girl gang. The Farmhouse Pizza's thin crust was freshly baked and the sauce and veggies were seasoned to perfection. The mixed sauce pasta and hakka noodles were beautifully cooked and served. The desserts were the star of the show, for the Nutella brownie was out of the world. The Sundae was comparatively more colourful yet no less in flavor. We would totally recommend it for a fancy brunch evening with your friends and family.

Great ambience and quality food. Im in love with the view from their outside sitting area. Just like you can see the whole City from the place. Coming to the food...the cocktails were really good. We ordered curry leaves chicken kebab, chicken tandoori pizza and apple pie cheesecake crumble. All the items were delicious, specially the kebab one. Service was good too. Probably some of the best cocktails in town! Gotttu love the refreshing, unique and innovative drinks that @monkeybarkol is serving up! Their food is really great too but it's always their cocktails that keep pulling me back there again and again!! 😅 Combined with a massive space that is full of character, breathtaking views through their big glass windows and a super fun/pubby vibe with great music - this place is perf for your weekend nights and Sunday brunches. A nice place for evening hangout. It was in my bestie's bucket list,and he literally nagged for going that place.You ll get a amazing view through long glass wall. This place had light crowd. Menu is not widely spread but it is shorted,little overpriced. No Zomato gold over here.. For hukka they have separate outdoor setting arrangement.

The Monkey Bar is situated on the 9th floor of the fort knox building.The ambience is really pretty. The place has a view of victoria memorial and cathedral from its glass windows. The lighting setting is very romactin after sundown. The staff is courteous and tries to help.However the menu is shortened from what it used to be and there were too many veg items to our liking. Our old favorites like chimichuri, sliders, the snicker dessert and few other were missing (mind it- those were really good)
We ordered malai bhekti fish, butterfly chicken, poutine, pork pizza and tiger beef. The poutine didnt have enough cheesy sauce however the quantity was pretty good.
Apart from that I like all the other food items ( specially the butterfly chicken and malai fish were too good).
As for drinks we ordered seven kingdom (mother of all LIIT) and baracadi rum.
The seven kingdom cocktail was strong and really well made.
The pocket pinch for two was close to 3.5k which is slightly on the higher side.
Overall we had a great time only if we had not had to miss out of our favorite items it would have been much better.
Nevertheless I would recommend Monkey Bar to any couple or group of friends looking forward to have a good time.

The place has a great ambience. The food was also up to the mark...pretty good and well presented. But according to me it was a bit overpriced. Apart from this, overall it was a good experience.

We went there on a Monday night and it was a lovely experience. The cocktails we had (sip me tender,hipster) were great & had quite good quantity of alcohol. The Starters - Butterfly chicken,Lal maas mutton tacos - not only good in taste but very filling as well. The ambience, decor was amazing as well with a beautiful view of the Victoria Memorial. Ordered this veg Tibetan thukpa from monkey bar . It had a lot of vegetables including broccoli. It was really tasty and healthy also and received the order on time . Packing was perfect . Would love to order more , soon .
Edit - visited it today. The Ambience us really cool and the food is awesome. At first the seating arrangement was a bit of a problem but then everything was okay. And the staffs were nice.

I had been planning to visit Monkey bar for a long time and I was not let down. The view alone is worth it with the added laid back chilled ambiance.
We had ordered their special drink Manga along with a Seven Kingdom LIIT, Sip me Tender, Coconut martini and a Watermelon Mojito. All the drinks were fabulous but the watermelon Mojito requires special attention.
In the food section, we had ordered curry patta and pepper chicken tikka which came with a side of mint coconut chutney. I would strongly recommend this as it was quite different from the regular kebabs and the chutney was the best. Next we ordered naga pork chili which was the right mixture of spicy and aromatic with tender pork belly. The star of the show was the main course Aunty Vinnie's berry chicken pulao. This is hands down the best dish I have tasted in a long while. The hot aromatic rice with the right amount of tangy and sweetness, mixed with little blackberries and topped with minced meat balls hit the right notes. To finish off this affair we ordered a Nutella and old monk chocolate cake for dessert which was gooey and chocolaty and nothing could had been better.
The staff was delightful and answered our several questions with a smile.
One of the best places I have visited in Kolkata which could actually touch my soul with their food and drinks and ambience and music. Would love to visit this place again.

When I first heard the name, I was immediately hit by this utterly stupid idea~”Does the bar serves only monkeys or monkeys serve the bar at the place?”Now that I know (of course after googling) that ‘Monkey Bar’ is nothing but a fancy Oxford English for our good old hanging poles in the roadside parks, I can rest in peace!!
I loved the place, food, ambience, everything! Especially try the butterfly chicken!🥰

Monkey Bar!! I had heard about this place from a lot of people and also what beautiful view it had. However I never got a chance to visit it, until a fine Wednesday afternoon. The place will instantly impress you with the view it has to offer and the beautifully done decor. The plan was just to grab a drink and nibble on some food, but just the entire atmosphere made us stay there for more than 2 hours. Needless to say, the food and the cocktails were great (we had copper monkey & pied piper, with unauthentic poutine, onion & cheese kulcha and malabari mutton kulcha). The fries were different and very well made. Overall was a pleasant experience with just one drawback of limited food items. I hope they increase their variety, especially for vegetarians!

We visited here this evening and we had a couple of food and drinks along with the hookah. The server was really very hospitable and took care of us with a pleasant smile. Chef Subhas made us an amazing smoked chicken and jalapeno pizza according to our taste. We recommend this outlet for an amazing ambience and quality time. Thank you Saz.

I went here last weekend and had a wonderful dining experience.
We were lucky to get the seat with a clear view of the lit up Victoria Memorial in the night.
There are high chairs by the window and sofas in the middle.
Coming to the food we ordered a Mushroom pizza with truffle oil, cheese sticks,manga and mad men.
The pizza was the best I have had in a while and certainly the best veg pizza you will get anywhere at this price range.The rest were quite good too.Manga is their signature cocktail which is quite different.Has an acidic punch to it!
The staff are really helpful, the chef comes up to the table to get food reviews.

Amazing place to chill out. I personally prefer soft music and less crowd so came here during noontime. The place was clean with a beautiful scenic beauty outside the window. St pauls Cathedral, Victoria Memorial side by side.
The ambiance is amazing. Loved the food and drinks menu. HOOKAH was good, tried after along time. There is a separate place for hookah.. Butterfly chicken is a must try. Loved the Bacon and Cheese Burger, it contains BEEF PATTY.. Overall an amazing place to hangout.
Try the butterfly chicken without fail! The place was clean with excellent staff. The food was good too, however some dishes weren't present when I went. But in all, the expirience wad great.
Well the best time to visit this place is from 3-6 on a winter afternoon.

Yesterday I was went to this lovely place with an amazing ambience. The outside of the ambience is very beautiful. The inside is decorated with dim lights which is truly amazing and make it better. The staff behavior is very much courteous.

The food quantity and quality is good and price worthy. Drinks are a bit costly but fits the place. Specially the cocktails was served with copper glasses which was truly amazing. It was a great experience and we enjoyed our evening. I would recommend this place for the breathtaking view of Kolkata's iconic Victoria Memorial and the another thing is similarly overview o St. Paul's Cathedral Church. Thanks for the nice services. Went to this place with my girlfriends for a night of cocktails. Firstly, I was impressed by the ambience and service. We were well attended to. It had a light crowd which I loved. We ordered their special Monkey bar cocktails from their assorted menu. Every drink we had was made up to the mark. All the cocktails were very delicious. Among all the cocktails, ‘Not so Vanilla’ was the BEST we had.
Coming to the food, we ordered some starters to go along with the drinks. Firstly, simple cheesy nachos with salsa and then upon the recommendation by the staff, Mac n Cheese Croquettes; both were superbly palatable.
Overall, we enjoyed the Monkey Bar experience. Would definitely go back for their cocktail specials!

This is a lovely place with an amazing ambience and the view outside is beautiful. Coupled with some really courteous staff and good food and awesome drinks, this is a must visit place. We are visiting Kolkata, after a decade, during Durga Pujo and meeting school friends was on top of my agenda. Got to know about the interesting food festival ‘Chayna Ochayna ’ at Monkey Bar Kolkata so decided to hit the road - ‘Pathe neme porlam ’.
We ordered the popular cocktails of Monkey Bar - Mangaa and LIT by pitcher. For sides, we tried Reddy’s chicken popcorn, Goan Chorizo Pao, Rossogolla Chat and Maangshor Jhuri Bhaja ( from the festival menu). Reddy’s Chicken popcorn is similar to Boneless Chicken 65 you will find at most dive bars of Bangalore but here they presented us a non greasy yet flavorful version.

I would highly recommend this place for the breathtaking view of Kolkata’s iconic Victoria memorial, delectable Bar snacks, and attentive yet non intrusive service. By 9 pm, the place was packed, sheesha lovers thronged the place and created a great buzz just what you expect during sharodtsav.
I absolutely loved this place.. Its very beautiful. The food was good and price worthy.. Chicken dishes were extremely tasty and juicy. The shakes are good too. It's a good place to go for a date. Decorations are love and the dim lights make it better♥️. Drinks are a bit costly but fits the place.

Beautiful place with great food and friendly staff. I had Malai Fish tikka here. It was very tasty and that was the first time I liked a Malai dish. We also had a prawns starter and Egg Fried Rice. My only complaint is that, cocktails are not fine. Staff is very friendly and helpful. View of the Victorial Memorial is nice at night.
Went there on two consecutive days as the food was very good. The view is also great as Victoria Memotial is visible. The drinks were awesome and the presentation of desserts is masterchef like.
The place was good. Service was good as well. I felt it to be a bit overpriced over what they offer.
2nd in the list after Asia!Asia!Asia! in the food to price ratio on the bad side. Has the decency to provide more food than Asia!Asia!Asia!

One of the great korean restaurants. Do visit this place if you like korean food. The ambience is great and the view from the window is nice. The food is tasty and good. The price can be a little lower. Desserts are very tasty. Family dinner, dates and get togethers are possible.

I was skeptical about trying sushi but decided to go with the veg version. And it turned out to be wonderful on the very 1st try. I became daring and had 3/5th portion of wasabi and now I trust the Korean people when they say they don't like wasabi. It burned my whole tasting senses for a moment and my eyes became watery in an instant!!🥲🥲
Next I had Seafood Tempura Udon which was absolutely marvelous. The light texture of the soup and the ability to fill the appetite with its richness in taste was mind blowing. Fish and prawn tempura were the best combination with it. Also must mention the fish cake🍥😌
Trying Cheesecake was also the best decision as the not too sweet cheesy fluffy cake with its best buddies ice cream and sour cherries made my foodie heart flutter.
After all these items, when I was contemplating whether I should have a drink or not. Whether it'll ruin the taste of cheesecake or not. The sudden thought of trying a completely unknown stuff came up in my mind. Thus I decided to take sips of Sakura Sakura, a grape based non alcoholic drink including a hell lot of ice cubes and some green apples providing a sour and fizzy taste that completely made me smile.
I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS CAFE TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO TRY JAPANESE FOODS 💯💯
I tried Chasu Ramen , fish katsu sushi roll and a pork side dish here.. Ramen was so far one of the best I tried in Kolkata. I felt the size of sushi was little smaller than usual.. overall experience was fantastic

Located in Fort Knox near Camac Street. The place has a great view of the city. The ambience is comfortable and perfect for hangouts and dates. The food and bar menu is awesome as well. I ordered Chasu ramen and it was delicious. The quantity was enough as per the price.

Nice cozy place with a great view! Butter Chicken khichdi is a must try here! The service got to improve a lot , they took long time to deliver a simple cocktail and a beer! Food is nice, would definately recommend!!! ;)
This place has been consistent and really good over the years. Each food item is equally great and tasteful. Crispy chili fish, Naga pork, Tiger chilli beef, mustard chicken from the tandoor menu are excellent. There was this green mango and papaya salad with prawn (you can add other things or just without meat) that was surprisingly tasty (I don't even eat papaya). I'll be going back there for the great food they have.
Their cocktail Mangaa is excellent. Never had that kind of taste anywhere else. That's a must try.
They have a nice view of the city as well, screens to watch sports. Just a note that it can become really loud with music at night.

The Ramens and The Chicken Tikka Pizza are a must have! We had Tantanmen It was spicy and rich with pork flavours, loved it! The Ramen quantity is exceptional, it can be shared by 2 people and can still fill their bellies.
I went there during saptami with my friends, the ambience,the food and behaviours of the staffs were so good. The star of the day for me was the bao's. It was awesome.
The place is cozy and probably provides one of the best views of the city.
And if you want to experience something magical choose the evening time (just before sunset) to visit the place.
