We had a salted caramel cake and a chocolate truffle pastry. Both were really rich in flavor. I had salted caramel for the first time and I was blown off by this. Love everything about this place.
Their cake has the best frosting and it’s tooo tasty to get tasted I am a pastry lover and I loved it .
So they're renowned for their cakes and pastries. However, their ice creams are probably the best in the city. I love the salted caramel ice cream and the Belgian chocolate ice cream .

Chicken shawarma from kookie jar has been my all time favourite. Yummy in taste fresh and very tasty. A must try for all the shawarma lovers in town.
The BIG DADDY of all the confectioners I can easily call them. Love everything from this place to be honest so it's very difficult to take a pick of my favourite. From the breads to the tarts to the chocolate cakes to the pineapple forest to the puffs to the shawarmas no celebration is complete without them. Love the smell and the ambience of this shop in particular where you can totally forget about rest of the world or the worldly affairs and get engrossed with your loved ones in happy conversations while the food sets the mood.
Since my school was near alipore, kookie jar was my favourite place to come and eat, any time I did well in my exam or any co curriculum taking me to kookie jar after school was my reward and I would work so hard for it❤️
I liked their savory items a lot, everything is quoted with a layer of ghee, which makes every byte heavenly!! However it is more famous for its pastries and desserts!

When they finally opened a outlet at Hindustan park I was super happy as its my No.1 go to bakery shop and this is near to my house.

It's a heaven for pastry and desert lovers. I almost love each and every sweet dishes which are being made by them for a long time. I used to visit South city outlet earlier but I have ordered birthday customized birthday cake from this outlet and it was just awesome.
My favourite place to go to for desserts in Kolkata. So close to my nani's house, we go here for everything - from cakes to pastries to my favourite chocolate boats! With a beautiful ambience, Kookie has fast service and cordial staff. Must-go!

This is not the first time that I tried this outlet. But today I went in for an entirely different reason. Having a craving for ice cream, I zeroed in on this one. Their home made ice creams are excellent - light, creamy and melt in the mouth. I tried orange and orange rind ice cream, it was great. Price reasonable. But the staff should be more attentive. They remain indifferent and don’t bother to ask you whether you need anything. The friendly touch is missing here. Parking no problem.

This place is huge n spacious... Very classy decor... Staffs are very well mannered... Service was prompt... I opted for some quick take away which consists of... Butterscotch swiss roll, salted caramel n coffee pastries, toffee tart... All were just insane... I also parceled two savories... Forgot the name actually... Those are decent too... Pocket pinch is very accaptable..

Kookie Jar has been renowned bakery shop which has been in operation since a very long time.They have 4 outlets in Kolkata and this is the largest one.After having lunch at a nearby restaurant we had a chocolate nougat and an eggless truffle and both of them were extremely good in taste.They have been always consistent with the quality and taste and thats why Kookie Jar has been our all time favourite.

Kookie jar is one of my personal favorite in confectioners.
This is again a big joint but with no seatings.
I absolutely love the taste of the chocolates in the pastry.
In my recent visit i tried the chicken tikka patties which was fresh and delicious.
The chocolate evasion was equally good and tasty.
Service was good and happy.
I didn't know that kookie jar had an outlet in alipore, until I discovered this place by chance. Kookie jar was, is and will be my favourite destination for pastries forever and ever. Loved their caramel pastry and praline pastry. Chicken focaccia was good too. But the pastries were heavenly.

Nut Corner is a must recommend. Been having this delicacy of theirs since over a decade. All throughout the taste has been consistent and sumptuous. Nut corner or you may say peanut pie have had this at many other bakeries across the country but none could match the taste of Nut Corner at Kookiejar.....
I went there to pick up an anniversary cake at around 10pm, however there were only two cakes in the shop one Butterscotch and another one chocolate truffle cake. I chosen Butterscotch as it looked better than the other one and I wasn't expecting a lot from it. But to my surprise the cake was one of yummiest cake I have ever tried. The butter cream was so buttery and smooth and delicious. The cake was light, flavourful and really crunchy inside. Wonderful cake to my experience.
My go-to place while in need of a cake for any occasion or a quick bite. This is located at the ground floor of Enclave in Alipore. The cakes are amazing, especially the chocolate gateux and the strawberry gateux. The chocolate boat and the nutty triangle are bites to die for. Amidst the savouries, I am much in love with the chicken sandwich, the shawarma and the mutton envelope. The staff are well trained and very helpful and co-operative. Always a good experience here.

Located in the ground floor of the Enclave Building, have dropped here only once. Already familiar with the brand and its products, tried the Shwarma and Truffle Pastry. The freshness was quite good and so was the quality of both the products.
When it comes to cakes kookie jar is really very good!! I love their pastry as well as their fruit cakes.. There's a strong taste of butter and the cakes always taste yumm :) :)
Wherever there is a kookie jar, it is worth visiting. The reviews I wrote earlier for its sister concerns and parent body in loudon Street applies here. The items are the same Yummilicious stuff.
Kookie Jar has always been a favourite when it comes to cakes. And they surely do nail every sweet item they sell. I personally love their Chocolate Triangles. But, this shop just doesn't sell sweet things. They sell savoury items too. And when I sit down to eat those, I am not fully satisfied. Their Chicken Pizza for example has a tough bread and the cheese above it is nothing near to being goey. Their puffs have almost no stuffing at all. However, the ambiance of this place is top notch. And if I have to speak about the staff, they are great at what they do. They cater to the customer's every need and certainly know how to take care of them. While I want to give this place a four, I'll restrain myself from doing that now. They are every bit of an excellent confectionery cum restaurant, however they need to work on their savoury items. Until then, it's a three point five.
It use to be flurys but the type of pasteries this place has been making from past 15 years which i can recollect is fab .. D first store was loudon street and today they have it all high rise places .. That itself speak about the quality .. Difficult to stop oneself the moment you hear about chocolate pyramid , the best i can think about .. Sides are even too fresh .. Love for cakes love for kookie love for jar filled with koookie . Earlier it was big and huge and service was excellent. Now the place has become little shabby and old. Otherwise the quality is excellent. But they charge higher if u sit and eat.
My friend's from Kolkata always mentioned about this place . So on my visit to Kolkata ,I couldn't resist myself on visiting . The deserts and cakes looked and tasted amazing . I personally liked the chocolate boat a lot . The staff was very welcoming and cooperative . Being new to this place ,they helped me pick the best deserts .
Needless to say they have awesome cakes which are tasty as well as eye pleasing. The behaviour of the staffs to their service is really commendable in almost all the outlets.

Kookie jar was in my bucket list for long and finally hit it previous week.. Kookie jaar specializes in cookies, customized cookies and yumm cakes.. The chocolate truffle cake was treat to our eyes as well to our hungry souls.. Then we ordered chicken envelope which was soft, buttery and yummy. Well, the decor is just like any other cafe. There is even a dining hall adjoining the cookie shop.
My favourite desert and snack place of all time.... it is little expensive though but i bet u wont get deserts like here anywhere else... these have wide variety of pastrys,cakes,puffs,wraps,tarts,etc.... and all of them taste unique and out of the world... i would highly reccomend this place

Live in Calcutta and not eaten at Kookie Jar! Kinda Impossible! I have memories from my childhood revolving around the yummilicious pastries from KJ. It all started with the pineapple pastry and the journey has never stopped. Even though the portions have decreased and they've sort of changed the preparations i still love the desserts from here!
P.S. I love the brownie, chocolate mousse, nut corner, chocolate eclair, pyramid, and everything the confectionery has to offer!

You'd notice a slight excessive pricing model when it comes to this upscale bakery. Perhaps it is built catering for the upper echelons in the neighborhood but nevertheless it doesn't compromise on quality. Maybe adding a bit more mayonnaise than needed. The pastries have a distinct individual charisma that could be a safe bet if you are to take someone a fancy edible gift. Good place to dine but they charge extra to dine in. Considering the blatant futility of the charge I regularly buy bread and baked goods from here. The staff is cordial and often compliment on the consumers attire perhaps as a marketing gimmick..
Overall great place but on the pricy edge. Plus their lemon tart will leave you asking for more.

Just love the place, the ambience and all. They serve really good cakes and pastries. I almost drool over their marble cakes and chocolate praline pastries. They are simply baked to perfection and can simply take any human being on earth to absolute peace.
Located in the prime location of alipore. Kookie jar will really make you reach out for cookies over n over again. It has quite an elegant, yet simple decor, with a good spread of confectionery n bakery items, ranging from tarts,brownies truffle,pastries,foccacia,cheesecakes etc.
For my parents 25th wedding anniversary, the triple layer cake left me speechless.
One should also try their chicken and egg sandwiches,it's quite tasty n has a nicely peculiar zing to it.

Ok ! So after French Loaf , a new café /bakery to try on cakes . We had take-away due to heavy rain . We had Chicken Sandwich , Chicken Sharwarma & Chicken Hotdog for snacks . Among the cakes , were Nutty Triangle , Macaroon Tart , Praline Swiss Roll & Chocolate Praline Gateau .... each & every single one of them is just awesome . The café is quite big , well maintained ! Good quality , and reasonable price puts it above 4 points . :)

Great place to take your taste buds into the adventurous land of cakes and pastries Kookie Jar is a place that forces me to visit and buy it's amazing blackforest cake and pineapple pudding. This is the outlet I have always looked upto for the delicious pastries, cakes and other savoury snacks.
But, to be true with the years passing by, this place has slowly dropped down from my favourites list.
All thanks to the increasing prices and shrinking portion sizes, the former at a high rate.
At the rates this place has lately started charging, you can opt for better places or you can shift to places with a less expensive tag but with the same quality offerings.
However, the times I have eaten out here, I have never been disappointed.

My brother and I went for cookies. One choco chip and the other- I'm quite not sure.
The choco chip cookie was impeccable even though I didn't like the other one

I am a big fan of the Marble cakes here. Whenever somebody is travelling from calcutta, the only demand i have is the marble cake. they are so soft, melts in the mouth. have never tasted such amazing marble cakes anywhere else.

Breakfast at Flury's, homemade dhokar dalna for lunch, evenings at the Tollygunge club and cookies from Kookie Jar after dinner -- that's as succinct a summation of my summer holidays in Cal as it gets!
Needless to say that my most favourite part of it all was to have the crumbly cookie dust of Jookie Jar's jam cookies all over my face. Messy chins be damned!
A decade later, I still consider it the most heinous form of crime for anyone coming to Delhi from Cal to not get a box of their goodies.
Chocolate drop, choco orange, chcoc chip -- clearly the best way to sample their cookies is to devour one or maybe four of each. Sorry, diet.
Forget the fact that you are watching what you are eating and just dig into their rum truffles. They are boozy and divine.
The place smells of scrumptious baked goods all the time. Result? It makes you want to have your cake, and theirs, and theirs too! Their mango gateux and the chocolate pyramid are as memorable as first kisses.
I don't quite prefer their savoury stuff. Not because it isn't any good, but because I don't want all those sweet treats to feel unloved.

Whenever I pass by the Alipore road, it's a must for me to visit kookie jar.
What I like about this shop is that they serve you with excellent desserts at a pricy affair. My favourite dish out here is fruit pudding which is a must have for all my foodie friends. I have tried the pudding of cakes and skyline too but kookie Jar's pudding is 'D ULTIMATE'. However, with respect to the amount charged quantity isn't up to the mark.
I have even had patties and few other dishes out here. All were excellent. So, another recommendation to my foodie friends is feel free to order what u want to. There's nothing as such u won't like be it ordering a cake for a birthday or be it having some snacks and get going.
Quality isn't compromised when it comes to kookie jar - that's what I love. :-)

The alipore store has a small seating arrangement but it is taken on rent from Mangio. Hence the price of the food becomes more than double if you seat & have there. Hence my foodie friends plz take home & enjoy as always in the age old way. The pastries- chocolate evasion, pineapple gateaux, Lemon tart, Nutty Triangle or the black forest ALL are worth trying!
Among the cakes, the marble chip cake is simply heavenly :)
I used to have it with coffee from their City Centre outlet while working at Salt Lake.
The mutton patty, the chicken foccacia, mushroom foccacia, chicken sawarma, the chicken & mushroom puff one better than another.
One special occasions, they sale blueberry cheesecake etc for limited period which are also amazing.
I have simply stopped having birthday cakes from Monginis/Sugar & Spice since I got addicted to the taste of Kookie Jar- Insane !!

We visit here twice a week at least... To yum on the chicken envelope and chocolate eclair 😋. Birthday cakes are amazing at Kookie Jar too. Cards and cash accepted here. Parking available. The staff at Kookie Jar are very friendly and professional, big ups!! My girlfriend would have chocolate eclair only from Kookie Jar😛. Surely recommended this place to all my friends and family. The strawberry crumble pie is absolutely delicious, even their pizza, must try!
Your cakes are awesome. But I don’t understand why don’t you guys send basic things like a candle and a plastic knife or happy birthday logo. At least customers should have the option to have them if required. These basics are sent with any cake you order worldwide but not kookie jar 🙄
Once you are ready to cut the cake start searching for a candle and a knife….I mean this you people can include in your parcel right?

For me this Bakery has been the best for around years!! The desserts and their savouries are just mesmerizing!! The joy of great taste I get from is something rare to find anywhere!!
