I love this restaurant as a brand . Their authentic bengali food and even fusion of other cuisines is what I love the most 💖. And their hospitality is outstanding . My personal favourites are the basanti polao kosha mangsho fish batter fry and mutton cutlet.
A real value for money 💰 and nice family restaurant
Bijoli grill is one of my best comfort place for dinning. The atmosphere is so beautiful and the service is quite fast and formal. I must appreciate this. And the food is my God beyond everything the taste the quality the quantity is so much perfect. One of my favorite restaurant for bengali cuisine.
I tried there fish fry and fish fingers. Both were very tasty.
Lipsmacking kabirajis are right here! In fact, all their fish based preps are yum
Ok, this is a review from a non-Bengali's perspective. I have never been a fan of Bengali food but a visit to Bijoli Grill changed my perception. I was apprehensive about trying Bengali cuisine, so I ordered a continental grilled fish for myself. But when my sister ordered rice, mooger daal, panch bhaja including potato, aubergine, okra, potol & pumpkin, shorshe ilish maach, potol stuffed with fish mince, curosity got the better of me and I tasted a little of everything. While I loved begun bhaja and shorshe ilish, I must say everything else was interesting too. Bijoli Grill has been around for a long time and serves quality food. The ambience is fantastic and service is very good. I miss their ice-cream soda which is not produced anymore.
Tried their singnature dishes fish fry and mutton kosha+ luchi.
Both were really nice. 1 less star for mutton a little hard and thick bread crumb layer on fish.

These small stalls all over the city always reminds me of my childhood days and they still have maintained their food quality ever since and also the decor of the stalls are quite upgraded than before.
In Kolkata i have never seen such ilish maaach ever.. they serve you with the whole ilish maach at a very reasonable price.
Even Chitol Maacher Muitha is the best. Other Bengali cuisine restaurant in Kolkata is nt that good in terms of this dish. Must try.
Pashupati and Bijoy served us gracefully. Both are very professional. Keep up the good work.
This place is excellent😍ambience wise & outside view was very good❤food wise its great especially all Bangali items😌staffs are also well behaved😃want to visit again
Went to this place on saturday evening for dinner.. This place is quite easily locatable.. Near vivekananda park beside whatsup cafe..😀
Now coming to the food we ordered:-
1) Chicken Lemon coriander Soup :- This was really great soup to start off ur meal with.. The lemon flavour and the coriander was balanced quite well.. And the soup wad neither too thick nor too light..
2) Roasted Lamb :- It was continental dish of roasted lamb with a sauce that was spicy with a hint of tangy flavour of pineapple.. Comes with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables and garlic bread..😍
3) Lemon Grilled Chicken :- Another continental dish with lemon grilled chicken comes with butter rice and sauteed vegetables.. A pure delicacy😋
4) Virgin Mojito
5) Blue sparkle :- This was made too sweet 😕 the only backlog of our dine in😃
Ther service was commendable.. The view outside was really refreshing as it was raining outside..😍
Overall a great place to have a casual dinner❤
Ambiance is nice.Food is really good. I feel the service is okay and could have been better.
Must try-
Prawn chop
Fish kabiraji
Daab Chingri
Mutton kasha
Overall we had a good experience.

The ambience was nice, but the staff was a bit lackadaisical. Anyways, coming to the main part, we were 4 people. We have ordered :
Fish Fry 4/5
Prawn chops 5/5
Rice
Daab chingri 5/5
Bhetki paturi 3/5
Mutton kasha 4/5
Fish kabiraji 5/5
Overall, the experience was somewhat good... 👍👍👍
This restaurant is quite surprisingly underrated(considering it’s less than a 4).They serve top quality food with a wide variety of dishes and cuisines. Been eating here and it’s Bhawanipore outlet for the past 10 years at least.
Dishes you MUST order :
1) Kosha Mangsho
2) Fish Orly
3) Fish/Chicken Cordon Bleu
4) Any of the Kabirajis .
5) Golden Fried Prawns.
6) Almost all of its Chinese dishes.
Anyone who eats here - more often than not becomes a repeat customer.
Must try.
This joint is located just near to my college.
And i have heard lot of gud review feom my mom. She loved this joint food when she was in college...
I thought many times to give a try.
It was in my bucket list at last after my xam i decided to go there...
I love their ambience and staff were helpful also.
I have ordered their signature fish fry as starter and in main main course i have tried their bengali polau and chingri malai curry..
I will definitely say that the taste as well as the quantity is good.
Bijoli Grill is one of the nicest places to have a traditional Bengali lunch on Southern Avenue. I have already been here thrice and some of the must try items here are notably the starters such as the fish fry, fish Orly and Dimer devil - the classic bengali items. For lunch the gandharaj chicken, daab chingri and fish done in various sauces are a must try. Probably one of the best items here is the incredibly simple but laden with flavour is the moong dal - compete with coconut and peas.
Nice decor and polite staff. They take bit some time to prepare food.I had their signature dish of fish fry and chicken kabiraji which was unparallel.Butter garlic nun is very soft and crispy.Price is not very higher side.Overall good experience.
Bijoli grill is one of the finest Bengali cuisine restaurants..
We ordered fish chop, pomfret starter, basanti pulao, mutton and prawn side dish. Food was tasty and hygienic.
Nice place. Good service.
This legendary place needs no introduction.
This place serve nice Bengali preparation , predominantly ghoti recipes .
The Gondhoraj ghol was nice and was a great appetizer. It stimulated my appetite for the upcoming main course.
Chetol peti was quite nice. The gravy had quiet rich creamy taste with mild spices accompanying the tender fish. The fish was big.
The gravy is perfect to be paired with rice and jhuri bhaja, the gravy is well balanced and perfectly seasoned to be eaten with rice alone. Lemon may ba added to cut though the richness of the gravy and enhance the fish taste.
In Frame: Chicken Friedrice, Lemon Coriander Soup, Veg Manchurian & last but not the last Chicken in Hot Garlic Sauce 🥡🍜
.
.
Taste wise it was more like Indo Chinese food but quantity was good enough to store some for the next day.. I must mention, I'm very much against of food wastage 😁
The restaurant has a very nice ambience with an atmosphere suited for family events. We tried Italian dishes...Had Chicken Kung pao as starter which had a hint of sweetness and were quite crispy..We also had Chicken picada which was served in a sumptuous manner, with the mashed potatoes arranged in the form of a lit candle and also tasted quite delicious..We also had lemon grilled chicken as main course in which the chicken pieces were cooked quite well and were juicy enough to be tried with "sada bhaat" accompanying it..it had a hint of bangaliyana while being an Italian dish...Overall had a very nice time out there and would recommend all to try atleast once...
This is basmati pulao, mutton kosha, and fish chop... this comb is very nice... tasty and good quality.... this is just for rs 190... for lunch time this is very nice menu to have ..
Went for wife's birthday. We ordered
1. Gandhoraj Ghol
2 Fish Fry
3. Daab Chingri
4. Bhetki Kaalia
5. Chicken Rezala
The food was excellent. The quality of fish was mindblowing. The quantity served was very good considering the price. Even my 7 year old daughter enjoyed the food. Definitely recommended.
The best and the most loved dish in this restaurant is the fish fry. It just tastes awesome and we love it. It serves good Bengali food at a very reasonable price. A very good joint to fulfill ur evening cravings.😄
So it was around 10 pm we all decided let's have chello kabab and it was not possible to go to park street now so decided to come to this place. The ambience.. decor. Everything was pretty good. The staffs here are very polite and helpful. For starters we ordered fish roll and fish orly.. it was really very amazing... Fish orly is basically fish batter fry but it was so crispy and not at all oily. Next we ordered
Roasted lamb
Chello kabab
Bangali polao
Chingri macher malaikari
Each n every dish was plate scrapingly delicious. The quantity was good. I would visit soon to xplore more..
Perfect Bengali food. The buffer on paila baisakh and variety was too good especially chicken kabiraji and chingri Mach er Malai kurry. The quality of rice was also good.
I have ordered polao and mutton combo from uber eats
It was very nice
I liked the taste of mutton curry
Pocket pinch-₹70(after offer)
Must recommend
One of the Ideal places to gorge on authentic bengali dishes. Ordered Fish Orli served with kasundi, tasted like beer battered fish. Since this has become one of my favourite dish. Be the quality of fish, the taste, fully satisfied.
For main course opted for Basanti Pulao with Kosha Mangsho. The quantity was enough to serve one.
Though the price is on the higher side, but considering their taste it doesn't hurt much to shell out the extra bucks. Surely a place to indulge in exotic bengali dishes.
Located on the opposite lane of the Famous Nazrul Mancha.
Bijoli Grill have previously amazed us with their quality Bengali food at various catering of occasions. They are a master in catering.
But this time i was curious about their Chinese that they are serving here.
Decorated decently,the ambience was soothing.
Menu had loads of variety to offer.
But as pre determined,we sadly avoided their cutlets and prawn items and ordered a basic chinese menu. A chicken fried rice and a tom yum chicken.
Oh my lord,it was amazing. Plated to perfection, each scoop tasted heavenly.
I am waiting to go again and try their continental menu.
Highly recommended.
They have great variety in their menu starting from bengali cuisine, Chinese, north Indian, Continental, etc. We took their prawn cutlet, golden fried prawn and chicken sweet corn soup for starters. The cutlet was great in taste whereas the golden fried prawns were a bit too oily. In the main course we had Hong Kong fried rice, Mixed Chowmein Gravy, Dry Chilli Chicken and sweet and sour prawn. The fried rice and the sweet and sour prawn were the highlights as they were amazing in taste. They are a must try in their menu.
Bijoli grill is located in the main road & is easily noticible. They are popular for their Bengali cuisine but they also serve delicious Continental food. Prices are moderate and service is great. Would love to visit again
Bijoli Grill is traditional cultural restaurant when it comes to host for any big occasions in earlier days.. The restaurant is spacious and the service was courteous.Ordered chicken fried rice which could have been better and I loved the Diamond Fish Fry .It was fresh and crispy with thin coating layer of breadcrumbs.
Went there with my family since it was my birthday.
Got 50% off on the entire bill from dine out app.
The experience was really good.
Will visit again !
Amazing indian and continental cusine dishes to choose from ranging from starters, main course and even dessert. Warm and comfortable interiors. Personally, best sitting places are the ones by the windows overlooking the road.
Food is delicious, well seasoned and there is no delay in the serving time. Will highly recommend.
One of the few good places to cherish Bengali cuisine with a few unique indigenous and continental preparations. Don't fail to try out 1) Fish Roll 2) Fish Ala Kiev 3) Baked Fish
Heritage Check! Fish and Chips - Tradition Colonial Essence with Tartare Sauce
Fish Kabraji tells the story of Heritage. Fish Roll solidly stuffed and pretty heavy. Food worth Money and a place for multiple return backs definitely.
Being a regular at this place I am very fond of this restaurant mainly because of the high standard it has set regarding its food quality and hygiene. Yesterday I ordered Dhokar Dalna, Sabji Banwasi and Navarotan korma by Zomato. The delivery was on time. Now coming to the food.
1.Dhokar Dalna : this dish came with 2 big pieces of Dhoka and 2 small pieces along with two aloo. I quite didn't understand the difference in size factor. But the taste was heavenly. Surely had best Dhoka after ages. It is a pure delicacy.
2.Sabji Banwasi : A good dish. Goes well with nun as well as polao or fried rice. Tasty as always.
3. Navaratan korma: okay I deducted 1 star only for this. I have tried this dish before , the taste has gone down a bit . Vegetables were very less , a few pieces here and there floating over the gravy. I am disheartened. However though it couldn't match up to its expectation but be assured you can try it. It still good and very light on your stomach. Thats a plus point.
Ordered a combo on swiggy. It was a combo of polau mutton and fish chop. The polau was good. Fish chop n mutton were equally tasty. Overall moneys worth . Will order again .
Bijoli Grill is one of the oldest and most famous caterers in the city of joy. They are mainly known for their Bengali Cuisine. In most of Bengali Marriages or Functions you might find them as caterers.
However recently I visited their outlet in Southern Avenue. The outlet is not only beautifully decorated but also has a prime location.
Coming to the food, Bijoya Grill offers an unique blend of both Bengali and Continental Cuisine. The food not only tastes great but also has unique presentation.
From the next time whenever you visit Bijoli Grill make sure that you try out their Continental dishes along with their Traditional Bengali ones.
We ordered:
||Fish Roll||
Big, filled with two layers of filling. One is white bhetki filling and rolled with minced prawn and masala. It was something every Bengali would love.
||Mushroom Fritters||
We didn't expect this to turn out as good as it was. Well baked with a coating and stuffed with parmesan filling. This was a delight too.
||Cilantro Marinated Grilled Fish||
One of the best grilled fish main course dish I've had till date at any place. The parsley butter rice was so good. The wine sauce was so creamy. The cilantro paste was perfect.
I'm giving a 5 rating inspite of the average ambience and a couple of flies around because their quality of fish is uncompromised.
The service is classic and fine.

This place has become a household name for preparing the best Fish Fries of Kolkata. A place that has stood high since a long time and still helds its head high!
I had a lot of expectations from this place when it comes to food. I have been hearing about this place for such long and after gorging into the delectable FISH FINGERS and FISH ORLY, I thought there is hardly any place that can give it competition, unless I tasted a few other dishes lately.
The place has an amazing ambience overlooking the Rabindra Sarovar lake. However for a foodie like me FOOD comes before anything else.
My rating is based on Only the starters I have tasted which are FISH ORLY and FISH LASOONI KEBAB which didn’t let me down.
Let me dig a little into the dishes I tasted today.
For the Starters I tried,
1) FISH ORLY - Probably the 5th time
I was having this dish. I always cherish the flavour the the Bhetki fish wrapped inside the batter and fried to perfection. It was served with a mayo dip. Bijoli Grill has specialised in preparing fish starters.
2) FISH LASSONI KEBAB - Even the Mughlai starters are lip-smacking! This preparation has a flavour of Garlic which blended very well with the soft kebabs. Again a pitch perfect dish.
For the Main Course I ordered,
1) PLAIN RICE - A plate was suffice for 2 of us.
2) DAB CHINGRI - I have a huge complaint regarding this dish. It tasted amazing with 4 pieces of Medium sized Chingri in a Gravy prepared with Coconut, Kaju and other lip-smacking ingredients.
What disappointed me is, the Dab Chingri was not cooked in the Dab!
The entire point of the dish is that it has to be prepared inside the DAB. But here the dish was made separately and then put inside the Dab and served. I have been to places where this is how DAB CHINGRI is served but I didn’t expect this from BIJOLI GRILL! The genuinity of the dish got damaged.
3) MUTTON KOSHA - Again a delicious gravy with not properly cooked Mutton pieces! I wasn’t able to chew the meat as it was very much undercooked. Again something not expected from this place.
4) COLD COFFEE - Typical!
The place is quite pricey but even that can be dealt with if they serve quality food! Alas, I find the name degrading!
Awesome !
Awesome !
And awesomeness !
Truly gave me a long awaited foodgasm ..
Fish A-LA-KIEV is hiiiighly recommended !
Also tried duck bamglow chicken , nuns and malpoa..
To mention ,the malpoa is served hot in kheer and garnished with nuts n fruits
I had the best fish fingers of my life. It was tender, fish was of great quality, was crispy and absolutely delicious. I also loved the mocktails. They vere refreshing and absolutely amazin Mutton seekh kebabs were also good with a lot of flavours.
In mains, mutton was really tender and amazingly cooked.
Portions were a little less, but still okay. The ice-cream was average.
Coming to ta part that disappointed me. It was the service. It was really slow and there were not enough staff. But maybe it was because it was a Sunday night. In and all it was a good experience, ambience was great, but service on peak hours can be better.
Really enjoyed the authentic Bengali cuisine. The staff here is very friendly and supportive. Their recommendations really worked for us. Thanks for the lovely experience.
Absolutely delicious! Bengali cuisine at its' best. Been there plenty of times & every time has been memorable for different preparations. You can't have all of them together, but try to indulge yourself with the following menu:
✓ Ilish Mach Bhapa
✓ Bhetki Macher Jhal
✓ Bhetki Bhapa
✓ Fish Orley
✓ Mutton Dakbunglow
✓ Ilish Thali (Seasonal)
✓ Luchi - Kosha Mangsho
✓ Chingri Polao
✓ Vanilla Ice Cream with Brownie & Chocolate Sauce
✓ Malpoa
When you take the whole family out for lunch on a a Nabami afternoon and mostly the older people in your team crave for Bengali food,Bijoli Grill can definitely be one of the option considering its huge fame.
Bijoli Grill introduced lunch buffet during Puja and that was a huge spread.Sadly, menu will be attached herewith only.We had to wait around 1.5hrs in queue.
Commenting on food,it's very difficult to maintain service during puja yet they served it thoroughly.I loved their signature dish fish kabiraji.Size of Pabda fish was huge and that it could fill one's soul but somehow the fish lacked its taste(probably sounds khuntkhunte being myself a fish lover). Also the sukto somewhere lost its charm,it was actually dry.Other than that, mutton was very tasty and went well with the basanti polao.Overall,it won the heart of my family and that's where my satisfaction lies.
Here, buffet as in they came several times with food and not that BBQ nation thing.Price per buffet was 999.Ambience is nice and situated in a posh locality.

I visited here on the day of Sosthi with family.. It's a pure Bengali cuisine.. Ordered chicken and prawn kabiraji and a prawn stake as starter.. Then Indian polao, Chicken kosha and chicken duckbanglow came respectively and in the end ordered brownie with vanilla scoop with chocolate syrup as desserts.. Never doubt about Food quality and quantity but price is little bit high but every one knows foodies does not care about budget.. Just go and grab some delicious food..

Fish fry with kashundi it was amazing, and most impressive is you will get Chinese, Indian and Bengali cousin all together at this restaurant.
A quaint place situated in the beautiful southern avenue location!! We went there on Chaturthi and hence found it amply occupied and missed the beautiful window seats overlooking the greenery outside!! The restaurant staffs are really polite and even offered us to change out seats to the window ones, if they get empty (they didn't get empty much to our dismay though)!! The service was prompt and commendable!
We ordered basanti pulao (really really tasty), chicken Dak bungalow (halal chicken much to my relief, spicy in taste), fish Malai kebab( mouth watering wonder) and mocktails! The price is really reasonable and quantity was okayish!
Overall 4/5 from my side!!
We have grown up with the name Bijoli Grill, whether relishing their foods in a wedding ceremony or in their restaurant they have never disappointed me. I wonder how they maintain the taste and quality for years.
After a very hectic day five of us came here for snacks and we left the place after having our dinner as we have not been able to control our tongues.
This place is located just on the main Southern Avenue road. It offers valet parking which is much needed.
The restaurant is on the first floor with adequate seating capacity. The decor is slightly dull however the ambience is decent.
Moving on to the food, for starters we had ordered fish finnger with tarter sauce. The fish extremely fresh what I liked about the fish fingers was that it did not have a very thick coating around the fish. We also ordered lime coriander soup. This was probably the best lime coriander soup I have had. It had the right amount of lime.
For the main course, we had ordered roasted chicken, grilled chicken and baked fish. All three were served with rice, grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes. Though the chicken preparations were good, but after tasting the fish, we felt the chicken preparations were okkish. The baked fish was simply amazing. It just melted in your mouth.
For desserts we had ordered rosagulla piyas. Honestly it was very disappointing.
Overall, it is good place to visit. The fish they serve is excellent and although the continental food was great, I am told that the Bengali dishes are even better. Will try them next time.
One of the great bengali cuisine....and my favourite also...
To day we went there to take some awesome delicious bengali food....1st of all the decoration of this place is just wow....
We ordered fish fry and gandho labu bhakti in starters with green apple mocktail and gandho labu ghol...
In main course we ordered polou. Kasha mansho. Daab chingri. Radhaballavi. Aloo dum.and caramel custard.
Fry and gandho labu bhakti was fresh and testy. Also all main course items are lovely....
The behaviour of staff was good.....thanks.
This is one of my favorite restaurants which is located at Southern avenue. They are also famous for their catering services.
I have been to this place many times and everytime one common dish I did not miss to order, is chicken Kaviraji. I would rate this dish 5 out of 5 . They also serve the best Bengali pulao in this city. Apart from these two dishes I have been very fond of their basanti murgi, Malai tengdi kebab and amporar sorbat. I am sure that they won't disappoint with any of their dishes which they serve at this place.
Resturant Staffs always maintains friendly behavior. So if you want to try tasty and traditional foods in South kolkata, you can always visit this place.
Shroddha Tah
Went there on 15th Aug for lunch & I wasn’t disappointed. The wait time was high though and serving time was even higher but you cannot complain about the quality of the food.
Ordered fish baked and fish chefs choice
Pocket pinch Rs 700 for two for light food n Rs 900 for heavy meal
This is a Brand very close to the heart of a Calcuttan, starting right from the Ice-cream Sodas of the 80's & early 90's, to their famed Catering services and of course the Restaurant outlets.
This one is located on Southern Avenue, opposite the Nazrul Manch and has a spacious decor.
It was on my wish list of eateries for long, as my last time with them (not this outlet but they had another on Raja Basanta Roy Road at one point of time) waa about two decades back.
We ordered for a refreshing Lemon Chia Seeds Mocktail to set the tone for the evening.
Next came their famous Fish Diamond Fry made of the finest Calcutta Beckti. The coating was of perfectly thin, retaining the crunch without being too interfering. The fish within was fresh, optimally spiced and it was a delight to munch upon. My two and half years son devoured an entire one all by himself! One plate contains two pieces, and we ended up ordering two plates.
This was followed by Mixed Fried Rice and Roasted Chilli Chicken.
The Fried Rice tasted exactly the same, like I had in 1999! The quality remains the same, finely made rice with a generous sprinkling of shrimps, scrambled eggs and diced chicken and mutton. I relived my high school days..
The Chilli Chicken had a delicious smokiness to it with hints of sweetness from Hoisin Sauce. The split green chillies added the spiciness to the mix. This may however warrant bipolar reactions as some may not like it, whereas some (like me) may love it.
Lastly, the finely made Caramel Custard. The jiggling texture of the Pudding without being overtly sweet, a beautiful brown caramel coating on the top. The spoon just cut through and it was a delight to the palate. Again, like the Fish Fry, my son devoured one whole portion with joyful elan. The Father couldn't be more happy.
Plan to be back soon, to taste the Bengali spread, which did catch my eye as it got served on the adjacent table.
Till then....
A nice place to indulge in the flavors of Bengali food. Chicken kabiraji although deserves a special mention. Probably one of the best kabiraji I have ever tasted. Chitol muitha comes close second.
Being a Bengali ..and that love for fish fry had always been there and to match that craving they are the best...restaurant would give you a glass view of southern avenue...nd they have all kinds of delicacies tried pulao ,shorshe fish ,took mixed noddles.. food taste awesome ..
Bijoli grill mainly known for its amazing fish preparations.
One of the famous restaurant serving Bengali delicacies.
From their list of menu, Fish fry, fish orly, chicken posto are my personal favourites.
Being a hard core"Bangali" I enjoy having their Bengali cuisines.
Highly recommended if you are a fish lover like me :D

One of the best Bengali cuisine restaurant in Kolkata. Have an classy amazing ambience with road side view. They prepared lip-smacking bengali food.
Fish fry is my favorite one from their all dishes.
Chicken Kosha was so delicious 😋.
Highly recommended
The ambience is very good. Staff are very cordial and very polite. Food is just superb quality. Be it Bengali dishes or Chinese. The only challenge is less of staff to cater to guests.
Visited this place yesterday with a friend for lunch. Heard about this place for its fish items so opted for only fish dishes. Ordered fish ala keiv and baked bhetki in white sauce and malpua in the dessert as all other dessert dishes were over. Ala keiv was so tender and quality of fish was good. The place was full when reached around 2:30 p.m. but got our table quickly. The service was a bit slow. Will visit soon to try few other dishes that are on my list.
A nice decor.
A homely feel.
Perfect food.
And not only Bengali but also continental and Chinese.
Tried Thier fish ala Kiev.
Is too good.
The sauce is just perfect.
I would recommend their Continental food.
The quality of food was good, less oily as requested. The quantity could be slightly more. Golden Fried chicken is very tasty.
Bijoli Grill is a very good quality restaurant, there is no doubt. But the price is a little bit high. Otherwise, food quality is fabulous.
Had visited this place when the hullabaloo around bad meat in the city was at its peak. So we decided to order seafood instead. The Fish Orly was delicious! So was the Daab Chingri which was rich and creamy yet light on the palate. Teamed with Steamed Rice, it was a sumptuous Bengali Lunch for us :)
Located at 5-6 minutes walking distance from Golpark Crossing , Bijoli Grill is one of the finest bengali restaurant in the city. They have recently started offering Pan Asian cuisine . Coming to the fooding part , the Basanti Pulao was one of the best . The Mutton was succulent and soft , combined well with the Pulao. The Chicken Cheese Kebab was good to taste. Ordered:
✓ Chicken Cheese Malai Kebab
✓ Basanti Pulao
✓ Kosha Mangsho
✓ Premium Mutton Handi
One of the best gastronomical experience till date , wish to visit again in future.
Food was fantastic. Very hygienic. Service was also too good. Very neat and clean. interior design was also good. They prepare food after you order so it's take little time but it's good to have fresh.
The food is awesome.. no complaints about it..
The service is very good..
They don't keep things ready.. after ordering give them their desired time for preparation and that's how they maintain such good quality and proportion.
Authentic Bengali restaurant..They also serve Indian, chinese, continental dishes...Food quality is top notch... quantity is also good.
Overall value for money...
One of the best Bengali cuisine restaurant I have visited..food quality is very good..even the quantity is much more than expected..specially the fish quality is just awesome..they also serve Indian,continental,chinese/pan asian as well..must try!!
A yummy example of what Bengali food is about. My friends and I ordered a variety of dishes to try.
Fish fingers, Mochar chop, Shukto, patoler dorma, aloo phoolkopir dalna, bhekti paturi, and two different rice dishes. My favorite dish had to be the aloo dish.
Service was good:)
Bijoli Grill excels at preparing Bengali cuisine. A serene environment and cozy seating arrangement is all they provide to enjoy the delicious meals. It is a family friendly place and doesn't serve alcohol.
Bijoli Grill was one of the oldest restaurant of Kolkata.. During our childhood we used to go to Calcutta zoo, n there eating a Bijoligrill was Mandatory, don't know why they closed it down.. They also had small, old outlet at Bhawanipore for Evening Snacks.. Later they opened this Restaurant at Southern Avenue where they started with Bengali n Indian Dishes along with snacks..
1st time I had here Some tradiional indian dishes.. Vetki Paturi, Chingri Polao, Mutton Korma.. Every dish was outstanding... Snacks like fish fry, kabiraji, cutlets, fish roll I often use to have in their old outlet..
But this time I found they have introduced some Continental n Asian dishes in their menu, so how can I miss it..So I tried Continental this time, the quantity, portion n taste was really satisfactory...
Open glass windows make the ambience very beautiful...
Bijoli Grill is located near Nazrul Manch (Southern Avenue) and is closed to Golpark. It serves a wide variety of cuisines such as Chinese, Mughal, Continental, Indian etc. Staff behavior is very good. Great taste with an affordable price.
A few days back ,I visited with my family after many years, and the food was great as same.
Unfortunately, the service was bad. We were disappointed with the service .
This is something very new to us for .

Excellent food .loved the service. Mishti pulao was out of the world. Highly recommended chittol macher muitha. ( Authentic). Little dissapoinment was chicken kosha as it was chewy and not succulent atall .
Nice location.. Quality of food is very good when it is up to the catering. But a bit disappointed over the quality served here in the restaurant. Peaceful ambience inside and interior decor is soothing. Only one general washroom is another issue. Staffs are okay. Good to come here in groups (not exceeding 10). Area is small. Better for traditional Bengali Menu.
The place is a bit pricey but the quality is worth it!!
-Papda Sorshey and Kasha Mangso were top notch!
-The fish fry could have have been a little larger given the price!
This place is definitely worth the shot if you looking for authentic Bengali food near this area!
Ambience is good. Food is equally tasty. But during the Durga Puja 2021 they have kept very limited menu options.
Basanti Pulao - 4/5
Bangla Fried Rice - 3/5
Mutton Dakbunglow - 4/5
Chicken Dak Bunglow- 4/5
Gandharaj Lime Soda - 5/5
Aam Pora Sharbat - 4/5
Had a pleasant experience at this restaurant, they do have an elevator but hardly anyone knows about it and parking is available beside the restaurant for free.
Staff maintained all norms of physical distancing and sanitized all our seating areas.
I highly recommend the Bhetki Fish Fry, I e never had such meaty fish fries which have been fried so crisply yet without dripping oil. Food was good too but can't eclipse many other Bengali restaurants of Kolkata but the price was very affordable.
Very excellent service, neat and clean eataria, bathroom is very small and compact, but quality of the food and all is on mark, they have the parcel option and also has the parking area, Southern Avenue
A bit overpriced given the quantity. But the staff is welcoming and warm and the interiors are pretty. The view is really good. The food was heavenly. We had chicken cutlet, bangla pulao, chicken dakbungalow and brownie with ice cream. Each and every item was really good. I am definitely looking forward to trying their continental dishes. Do visit this place. They've got a lot of offers through dineout so before visiting this place give it a check
