During pujo i visited this restaurant. This is located near rabindra sadan metro station. The ambience and decor was really impressive. Very Royal kind of decor. We ordered Chinese. Both Chinese and Indian was available. The quality of the food was really good. But i think due to pujo the amount of the food was a bit less. Otherwise

Quite a poshy and smoothing ambience in the Middle of Chowringhee road with a not so hefty price tag as it makes ur assume by its looks. Food quality quite nice and service seemed quick and good too. It's a one time visiting place according to me.
I went to this place very frequently during my school days and recently I visited to find it hasn’t changed much. The staffs are very courteous and the food is always very tasty. It is surprising that you can get your tummy full with such good food at a nicely arranged and decorated place at such reasonable price. I am fond of the tender butter naan and the crispy chilli chicken with cut pieces of pineapple adding a blended sweet n sour taste. I loved the brownie which had a nice gooey texture. The place also has a nice parking lot.

This is an awesome place to hang out and to feel the royalness as it’s interior is so glamorous,I like the place and the food quality.The location is also good and they have a dedicated car parking facility that’s all we need now.
The hospitality is excellent, and so is the quality of food. The service is quite fast too, but I would say that the quantity of food per plate of the item could have been a bit more.

Went on weekend for food fun. Service is prompt. Ambiance is wonderful. Ordered Paneer Tikka with Green Chutney which was presented beautifully. Taste was amazing. After that we had Masala Papad #mouthwatering. They served four papad in one potion which was almost double for two. Dal Makhani & Garlic Naan could be improved a little. Show Stopper was the tempting #AamChutney served by them. Almost two small bowl finished yet my mouth fills with water even talking about it.

Located just opposite Rabindra Sadan metro station and beside Haldirams, this is a great dining restaurant. It's decor is apt for its name. It's spacious and has a perfect family/corporate dining ambience. The service was a little slow. We had one Fresh Lime Soda, which was refreshing. Then we had Butter Naan and Mutton Korma. Naans were well cooked and quite big. Mutton korma was great. Then we had Chicken Fried Rice, which wasn't good and had a bad smell. Then we had Cantonese Chicken which was good. The price was not too high. Overall, a decent experience.

A very well maintained restaurant right on Chowringhee near Exide crossing . The decor and the presentation of the food were good. The Kasturi murg Kebab was superb. Very very tender pieces and extremely well cooked. I ordered sugandhi chicken kebab as the name attracted me. It has a lemonish tinge .. taste wise good but in compare to Kasturi kebab this was nothing. The chicken Bhadra was well presented and tasted pretty good as well. Will recommend people to have.
First visit. And that too during Pujo. Couldn't have asked for more. From it's vibrant decor to its smacking food, this place surely deserves a special mention. From its Biryani to its Chicken and Mutton Gravy dishes, everything was top-notch. Service was good too. And above all, the pricing is neatly done.

If you want a 5-star experience on a pocket friendly budget then Maharaja will be the perfect place in chowringhee area. The ambience inside Maharaja was just awesome. We ordered Drums of Heaven, Kung Pao Chicken & Mixed Fried Rice. In Drums of Heaven the chicken was soft and a crispy layer outside with that chilly gravy. The Kang Pao Chicken & Mixed Fried Rice both having great taste. Overall it was a great day with that dinner.

As we know that food is the symbolic of love when words are inadequate, and when we are talking about food unequivocally this place serves some authentic one. I visited this classic restaurant for lunch with my friends. This joint is located near exide more.
We ordered two mocktails : sun breaker and Queen's pride. Both of them were excellent and satisfied our taste buds. The flavour of pineapple and strawberry was popping out of those two drinks respectively. Now for the main course we ordered chicken chilly garlic noodles which was very spicy but scrumptious. Personally I loved that dish very much. Next we ordered for chicken fried rice and Kung Pao chicken. The fried rice was nice and the chicken was very succulent.
All over our experience was great. Staffs were very courteous. I would love to visit this place again.

good north Indian food. we came here for dinner on a Sunday and we ordered the following. it was a combination of indian and Chinese. the reason being that in North Indian starters there are less options in the menu card. so we opted for Chinese in the starters and North Indian for the main course.
starters : Pan fried chilli chicken. they serve about 10 pieces of chicken which was quite sufficient for the 4 of us. it was very well prepared with medium spicy level.
main course: 5 butter rotis, one butter naan. 1 portion of chicken kagni, 1 portion of chicken butter masala. this contains 4 chicken pieces with bones. chicken kagni was medium spicy with about 6 pieces of boneless chicken. the dishes were excellent and the chicken pieces were very soft and juicy.
Drinks : 2 aerated water.

Maharaja is one of the classic resturant just situated in the exide more beside mahindra showroom.
Ambience is like maharaja dinning with bar.
Now coming to food the indian dishes are really quite good but the chinese platters are not that up to the mark.
Here they serve mutton biryani with 2 boneless pieces and garnish with fried onions. Tandoori roties served hot but very thin.

It is a good experience if you opt for fine dining. The location is a plus situated near the exide more. Now coming to the ambience its quite good. We went and ordered mocktails, pepper chicken,drums of heaven,chilly prawn,mixed rice and noodles. Taste seemed quite good though the prawn preparation turned out to be dissapointing.
The service seemed to be very slow although it was mostly empty in the evening.
All these costed around 3000 which is quite reasonable considering the volume of our order.

1. Orange and Cranberry Mocktail (3/5) -
We wanted to order cocktail with Vodka but only magic moments was available so we opted for mocktail... I ordered pinacolda and my friend asked for something with orange juice.. But they brought a cocktail , when we refused to take it, they were bit offended.. Later they made this one which is nothing but a blend of two juice , But at R 200+ for this drink is really not worth...
2. Pinacolada (3.5 / 5) - Later they brought Pinacolada which was tasteless no sweet nothing, but after I complied they made a better version...
3. Chicken Kali Mirch (4.5/5 ) - Just after rotten chicken scam we dared to order chicken again in this place, though the taste was perfect.. chicken was wwll marinated ,soft...
4. Baked Fish (5/5) - Well baked , cheesy crust and creamy fish inside was tempting,
5. Fish in lemon Butter Sauce with Rice / French fries (4.5/5) - 2 medium slice fish , rice was well flavored with butter...

Maharaja is one of the classic resturants which has been around for a significant amount of time and has managed to keep up their standard of food amd service. I prefer the Indian and Mughlai dishes here more than the Chinese. The thing which stands out about their biriyani is that, they serve tender boneless pieces of mutton in the mutton biriyani. Chicken Kagani goes well with it. The interior has a lush and fancy look. Service is prompt and efficient.
Very nice place I must say. Perfect for a romantic couple. Quite elegant and classic feel, you can even find an indoor fountain. Service is also very nice.
If we talk about food, it is good. I ordered kasturi kebab as starter, mixed Hakka noodle and shezwan fish. The Kebab was good but nothing special. Shezwan Fish was really nice and it was not very hot which I liked. Disappointment was the Noodle. Quite tasteless as if there was no seasoning. Flavour was also quite faded. Still a nice experience and would like to visit again.

We ordered Chicken Reshmi kebab for starters. Slightly more fibrous than those you get at Arsalan and Aminia, but very tasty nevertheless.
For mains, had butter naan and a gravy dish with baby corn and mushrooms. It was delicious. I'm not much for vegetarian food, but this was so good.
They do have some problem with the handheld payment terminal. Didn't work. We had to pay the bill in cash. But very courteous staff otherwise.

For this place 3.5 is enough... Though for the interior and the decor i would love to give 4.5 to this place.. i visited this place during puja this year.. it might looks a bit expensive from its outer loojs bt its not actually.. this place is actually verry poket frendly.. i visited there with my friends the prices of alcohol is bit cheaper then other restaurants which is a good thing for people like us... Went there on sashti the interior is nice and the food options were good too in that price range but they didnt have the Chinese dishes so we ordered the Indian dishes the biryani was nice and the side dishes like bharta etc was tasty too I never tried their Chinese dishes so won't comment on that but indian delicacies were well made and even also on the day of the Durga Puja where there was rush in the kitchen they didn't even overcook a single thing so that's a plus point cutting .5 for not keeping the Chinese dishes on the menu that day ...... Ambience really suits the name- Maharaja. Huge place with mesmerising decor. Tried their indian starters Chicken Kasturi Kebab and Mutton Pasinda kebab which was excellent. Mutton was soft and delicious and chicken was tasty as well. Whiskey and kebab makes the best combination. Price is also not too high. Will visit again for a full meal.

Just like another date to us, however, food exploration was must. Though it was tough to find and choose any good restaurant in Exide. Nevertheless chose a grand one, Maharaja. Indeed it's in looks, ambience and food too.
We had ordered Fish banzara as starter then for main course we chose Mixed Fried rice and Beijing Lamb. Trust me quantity was humongous and quality was stupendous.

Visited long ago. Ambience is excellent. And the inside decor is vintage. Food are also very delicious. Lahori dum biriyani and chicken lababdar were the one of best dish I hv in here. Staffs are very caring and well behaved.

I had visited this restaurant several times before but this is my first review about the place from my last visit . We went out for a family dinner last Saturday . The interior decoration has changed abit which was quite pleasant and appealing . We ordered Queen's pride which I didn't find much appealing because it was mixture of various fruits flavours like mango , pineapple etc ( couldn't manage a picture ) and Virgin mojito ( not available in the menu card ) . For starters , Chicken kasturi kebab and fish banzara was ordered . Both were yummy . Then , my favourite prawn cocktail was served . They have changed the granishing and presentation but the taste remains the same i.e, heavenly . Next , for main course , we ordered chelo kababs , garlic naan , chicken bharta , Dal makhani and chicken steak . All of them were equally good but could manage the picture of the steak only . Tuti frutti and chocolate icecream with hot chocolate sauce was ordered for dessert . The chocolate icecream was just out of the world . All the dishes were worth of money . The staffs were polite and quick in their services. Will surely come back to check out more from the menu they offer .

Nxt come to the food...we have ordered Dry chilli Paneer as starters it was very good...in the main course ordered chicken biryani , mixed fried rice and garlic Chicken ....both the Chinese items were good enough but the biryani was not up to the mark...it was salty and very bad in taste.... **** very unexpected thing came to the end when they gave us the COMPUTARISED BILL...I have found counting error of the total amount (excluding the gst) ....I was shocked to know that computer made a mistake...the funny thing is that I was very relaxed to realize that not only human being but a computer too made a mistake ....😋😝😝😝😝😝😛😂😂😂jokes apart....

We tried the mughlai fare, which was quite good but service took time for a late Sunday lunch.

This is very nice place. Food and drinks available here are at reasonable prices. Quality is also good. Waiters are also good and helpful. In short, if you are planning to going to a bar-cum-restaurant, this is one of the must go places of Kolkata, where you are going to get a majestic feeling like a 'Maharaja'.. 😁
Nice Restaurant with a very niche looking ambience. They serve both Indian and Chinese Dishes. Food served is tasty and quality wise it's fine. I preferred the Chinese Dishes, though Biriyani was not that great. They also have a bar also, so one can order drinks as well. Staff very cordial. They provide free Parking inside their complex.
A nice place located very ventrally, easily commutable and in close proximity of Kolkata Metro. Has good choices of spirits and wine. Good food and very hospitable staff. A nice place to spend time with your friends and family.
The ambiance of the restaurant is great. Staffs are very polite and courteous. The foods are served in time. The starters are very good. They have a wide variety of foods and drinks. It is a little bit expensive.
We visited on 31st eve. For the new year as well as christmas, they decorated the place with balloons and other relevant items. The sits were very cozy and the ambience was royal.
Now coming to the food, we went for chicken tikka kebab and fish fingers, which tasted delicious. The French fries and the mayo dip complimented the fries pretty well. The spicy onions enhanced the kebab flavours. The chicken was moist and tender.
In the main course, we opted for egg fried rice and garlic chicken. The rice was light and was cooked to perfection but lacked a bit seasoning.
Generous amount of chicken was there in the garlic chicken and went well with the rice.
We finished our supper with cold coffee and sweet lime soda.The coffee was creamy and tasted heavenly. The soda was ok..
Overall a good experience and the stuffs were courteous too.
Will definitely visit again.
