The bhoj company!! Felt like raja bhoj after eating here, it soothed, not only my belly but also my soul! The divine dishes, the tangy chutney, the precious paturi, the beautiful bhekti and the perfect prawns! It has turned a vegetarian like me into a full on meat eater, and I'm not complaining!!
P.S:I think you people should have recliners for people to rest up after a hearty meal

Me and my partner tried typically bengali food like Basanti Polao and Chicken kosha. And the taste was heavenly. Nice decoration, less crowdy a great family restaurant actually. Recommended for good Bengali food.
Mouth watering delicious Bengali food with great service. Dessert is yumm and plain rice with Verious types of Bharta is really tasty. Clean upscale restaurant and still very inexpensive.

2. Kashmiri Alur Dum,in red gravy.
3. Basanti Pulau, bright yellow coloured aromatic rice, flavoured with whole spices.
4. Kochu Patay chingri, authentic dhakai prawn cooked in taro leaves with spicy mustard sauce and grated coconut.

Gondhoraj Chicken and Fish Fry packed with love inside the box...
🥘 Gondhoraj chicken: As the name suggests, this coated chicken fry will facilitate your mouth with a party of flavors. The crisp quotient is kept intact outside and the spice quotient is kept intact inside as well as outside. You can expect the chicken to be soft, so much so that it will romance with your tongue. Succulent it is!! Go for it!! 😋😋
🐟Fish fry: When it's the matter of fish (no fishy matter mind you 😉), the expertise of Bengalis are unparalleled all over the world. And when its fish fry with kasundi from The Bhoj Company, rolling in our mouth, it literally brings tears to our eyes, simply out of emotion. The apt amount of marination of spices on fresh vetki and the crunch in the coating enhances the emotions. Pure love. 😍😍
Mouthwatering food. Just go for them!!
In this lockdown period if you are really craving for some good Bengali cuisine then The Bhoj Company is the right place for you.
I ordered bhetki fish fry which was really good and satisfied. The fish was so great and upper conting was so light I enjoyed with kasundi and some french fries.
Also ordered gandharaj crispy chicken which was nicely preapared. A so good fusion recipe. Highly recommended.
Vetki Fish Fry is always been my favourite as a stater. Fresh vetki fillet fried & served with french fries & kasundi. Recommended.👍👍

Few days back we ordered 👉 🔴Fish and Chips(made with fresh Bhetki fish) ,🔴Gondhoraj Crispy Chicken 🔴lip-smaking alur dom with Bengali famous luchi🔴Steamed Rice with 🔴Kochupata vapa chingri,🔴shile bata loite fish. Then we had the famous combo of 🔴kaju kishmish pulao and Chicken Kosha. The last but not the least item was 🔴Raasmalai.
At first I am starting with the fish fry.Tje portion and the taste both were awesome. The inner filling of it was packed with fresh fishy flesh and it will melt in your mouth .Taste it with Kaasundi. The companion of French Fries was also very tasty.
Then I tasted The Crispy Chicken served with Gandhoraj Lebu. The fusion taste of crispy chicken with the splash of juice of Gandhoraj lebu was great. It is very much recommended.
Personally I am not much fond of Loite fish. But Loite lovers must try the dish .They will love it I am sure.
I liked most the Kochupata vapa chingri. The spicy, Bengali styled smell and taste of the dish will be liked by all. Both the dish can be companied by Warmly served Steamed Rice.
At the end of your meal don't miss the taste of Raasmalai.
The reasonable price, the pleasant ambience, nice Bengali music in background and the courteous staff behaviour will just amaze you

The Bhoj Company has become an institution when it comes to authentic Bengali food. For as long as I can remember, they have been serving the best in quality food and their service too has been top notch. Last month I was crossing their Free School Street outlet and just couldn't hold back myself from craving their dishes. Hopped right in and ordered some of my favorites!
Kolkata Fish Fry
Gondhoraj Chicken
Luchi with Alur Dom
Saada bhaat, kochu pata chingri, loitya maach
Kaju kishmish pulao with kosha mangsho
Rasmalai
Each and every item was delectable as always. The fish fry had fresh bhetki fillets with the lightest coating of crumbs possible. Crisp, fresh with melt in the mouth flavor. Gondhoraj Chicken was something I had never tried before. Crispy sticky chicken fingers with Gondhoraj lemon sprinkled all over. As amazing as it sounds, it tasted equally delicious. Luchi was fluffy or rather "fulko" as we lovingly like to describe it. Alur dom had the perfect blend of spices and tasted really good. Though I am not a fan of alur dom but this one had me licking my fingers. What I loved best as sada bhaat paire with kochupata chingri. The kochupata chingri had that oozing aroma of mustard, the one that hits the right notes. It tasted soooooo good. I am literally at a loss of words. The Lote fish or "Loitya" as we generally call it was spicy and something that one should definitely try out here. Obviously, Kaju Kishmish pulao and kosha mangsho is a match made in heaven. And Bhoj Company left no stone unturned to keep that pair taste like the best. We ended the gala feast with some in house Rasmalai, the perfect dessert to the Bengali meal. Rasmalai as usual was no doubt appealing and great to taste.Overall, this place is something that every person residing in Kolkata should try once to keep coming back. They have become our family favorite.Great job guys....! You make us Bengalis very happy and proud of our cousine.
Went to this place recently basically for snacks in the evening. Nothing to mention about the decor or ambience- it is very basic and the people dining over there were making so much noise which I absolutely hated though I understand the authority can't do anything about it. Coming to the food- we had "Fish Fry", "Fish Finger" and "Mochmochey Murgi". I hate to say this but the Fish Fry was even better than the one I have always from Mitra Cafe. It was amazing in taste and the fish was so fresh. Mochmochey Murgi is a speciality they offer, it was good too. Also, we took "Kochupata Chingri" for home, it was delicious too. Price is reasonable. Definitely will go there to try some other dishes.
Excellent food quality, special Bangladeshi items are available with great taste. Must visit it.
Destination for authentic bengali cuisine in kolkata. They have their branches at Dhaka Bangladesh too.
We tried kolkata fish fry for our starters. They were really good in taste. The texture was awesome.
For the main course , Rice, sheel e bata loitya and kochupata die chingri bhapa. They are the traditional bengali dishes that conveys the flavours of Bengal.
For the dessert,we had a traditional bengali sweet, that is Roshomalai. Two succulent pieces of sweetness dipped into malai.
Overall the quality of the food is excellent. The prices are pocket friendly. This place is a must visit.
The Bhoj Company is the perfect place if someone is looking for the true taste of Bengali-Dhakai cuisine. This branch is located very conveniently in the heart of New Market. The decor is elegant with a touch of the modern Bengali era.
Coming to the star of the show which would be the food, we tried the following from their menu.
° Luchi with Aloor Dum: This is the classic combo which can never go wrong. The Aloor Dum was made in Kashmiri style as one might find in a Bengali wedding which paired perfectly with the puffy luchis.
° Loitta Sheel-e-bata: This was something that I tried for the first time and how I was surprised by how it tasted. It was probably my favourite out of everything. The Loitta or Bombay Duck was made bonesless to be made in a paste like consistently using the classic Bengali household tool, the Sheel Nora. The flavours infused in the fish were unbelievable and this is a must try.
° Dum Pulao with Chicken Kasha: This was a heavenly combination with the Pulao having the perfect balance of sweet and savoury flavours brilliantly complimenting the rich chicken gravy.
° Kochu Pata Chingri Bhapa: The Kochu Pata Chingri Bhapa had the right balance of mustard and prawns with the flavour of the kochu pata coming right through.
° Fish Fry: The Fish Fry was exceptionally good as the fish was fresh Calcutta Bhekti crumb fried until crisp. It was accompanied by thick cut french fries and the quintessential kasundi.
This place is highly recommended for authentic Bengali and Dhakai cuisine and is probably the best of its kind.
Everything was perfect!!
When u visit a Bengali restaurant the first thing that concerns you is the price and the quality..let me tell u something here the prices are so reasonable compared to other Bengali restaurant but they haven't compromised in quality and quantity..the food was fresh and tasty..the decor was fine too..though the place isn't spacious..staffs were very polite and friendly..a must visit..i assure u will not get disappointed.
To enjoy nice bengali cuisine with nice ambience & reasonable price & awesome tasty food tou should visit The Bhoj Company . I'm very satisfied with this place .
Best place on my schedule to enjoy authentic bengali food. Nice ambience, soothing Bengali music and excellent food. Courteous service and soft on wallet, what else you ask for.
Sorshe illis was excellent and Kochupura chingri was revealation. Must try for Bengali cuisine

From : @thebhojcompany The Bhoj Company at dalhousie (One of the best restaurant specially for those who are fond of Bengali Cuisines)
Price : 290/-
Went to this place during durga puja. Ordered a thali. It had a lot of things. What mesmerized was loitta macher jhuri
Visited the place on a Sunday lunch.
We order many items and most of them was unavailable. There was few options and we had to choose between them.
We ordered plain rice, daal, alu vaja, jhinge posto, kochupata vapa chingri, vetki paturi, chicken kosha, mutton kosha, misti doi...
Each and every item is really tasty and have their authentic flavor... quantity is value for money...
But as most of the dishes was not available I will suggest to visit their BBD bag outlet as that is bigger than this one.
😋
Today I and my friend have visited this outlet for the first time. Thr place is small, we had to wait for the table and there was no arrangement for waiting. The variations of items are very less compared to their bbd bagh outlet. Ambience is okay.
Staffs are polite and good. We had pulao, chicken kosa, fish fry, rasmalai and mishti doi.
The rating is only for their food. Pulao, chicken kosa and bhektki fish fry were really good.. But I didn't like the rasmalai, the milk of the rasmalai was not that creamy like I had in their bbd bagh branch. And the mishti doi was as normal like that.
The food here is good. The kochupata chingri-bhapa is yum! The thick slab of bhetki served as fish fry here must not be missed! Kosha mangsho and postor Bora are two other must orders here. I found the interior's of their BBD Bag outlet more tasteful. Overall it's value for money and satisfying for taste buds.
Moch Moche Morog
Price: 135 Rs.
This restaurant serves bengali food at it's best . We ordered a kind of chicken cutlet cooked with extreme crisp and stuffed with cheese that actually melts in your mouth. With the touch a bengali cuisine, this dish made for an immensely unique and glorious start for the meal.
Rating: 5/5 🌟
Few Days before i visited this place eith my friends. Its located in Dalhousie more ! They expertise in Bengali cuisine . though they also serve chinese cuisine as well. We Specially tried their Bengali cuisine! We ordered
✔ Fulko luchi with Alur Dom and Dhokar Dalna. - Luchis were not at all oily , beautifully complimenting both the alur dom and dokar dalna. - Aloos and dokas were very soft from inside.tastes good!
then
✔ Sada Rice ,kochu pata dia chingri , sheel a bata lote mach - perfectly cooked rice complimenting both the dishes . Kuchu pata dia chingri was my personal fav dish from here!
✔ basanti polau er shathe kosha mangso and kosha murgi was heaven.. most deadliest combination. The taste of these dishes will surely give you a homelike feel.
✔Ended with compulsory tomato er chatni, papad and Roshmalai. Well this roshmalai is quite different from what you get in the local sweet shops. its looked like baked rosogolla but yer its truly rosomalai dhakai style. Tastes awesome..just one word delicious!
One dish which was my personal favorite - Gondhoraj Chicken..MOUTHSMAKING ..just awesome..pan fried chicken strips ..with a flavour of gondhoraj....aha..!
overall my experience was very good over here..! You guys can come and enjoy their tasty Bengali cuisines..!! You will love it!
One of the best place for authentic Bengali dishes. I have ordered Pulao with chicken chap. Simply awesome food with great taste. Highly recommended.
I went with a friend. Ordered Polao, Mutton Kosha, Chicken Curry, Bhetki Paturi and Salad. Later we took plain rice too.
The service was slow, very slow at the first. The manager/ owner had to come and hurry up the servers, who were quite unprofessional.
Food was very good. I ate rice with the Paturi and cried because of hotness. Still I kept eating. POlao was not Basanti Polao, but it was not bad. Chicken, Mutton etc were awesome too.
We wanted to have something authentic on the auspicious day of astami so we went to bhoj company.
This outlet is situated in sudder street.
When we went it was packed up and they told it would take more than 30mins. But they were generous enough to offered an extended place which is just next to their main outlet and it was bar cum restaurant.
So we went their it was quite a nice plce.
And we ordered :-
●Bengali pulao - This was white polau and one of the best I ever had and it was a bit different from what we bengalis are familiar to. It was v.simple yet the best one you can get.
●Prawn malai curry - The prawn were so soft and it tasted the way it should have been..delicious!
●Mutton kosha - A perfect side dish for the polao. the mutton was tender and tasted damn good like more good than prawn XDD
Bt yeah they only serve 3pieces which is a bit disappointing it would have been better if 4pieces would have been served according to the price they are charging.
Anyways we were fully satisfied after completing our lunch and we made the right choice of having our lunch here.

Been there during the Pujo days so we were offered the special pujo menu with limited options. If anyone wanna try authentic bengali delicacies 'The Bhoj Company' is the ideal place of course. Pardon me as I don't remember the prices of all the dishes.
Durga Puja for bengali has a different place all together in the heart of Bengali. Puja is not all about Pandel hopping but also having some exquisite food with loved onces.
I dnt know for others but for me bengali cuisine comes first as the first choice during the festivities.
And what other place than "The Bhoj Company" near New Market area.
Now for this puja they have introduced a special thali consisting of the following items.
Bhetki Fish Fry ( highly recommended)
Basmati Rice
Shona Moong Dal
Jhuri Aloo Bhaja
Kochu Pata Chingri Bhapa
Shorshe Ilish / Chitol Kalia
Dum Pulao (recommended)
Kossa Mangsho (Mutton / Chicken)
Chaatni Papad
Mishti Doi
Rasmallai
This thali is priced at INR 1170+tax .
Either you go for quantity (buffet) or you choose quality. And trust me on this , during puja very few restaurants stick to their quality and this is one such.
So a must try for quality food.
And dnt worry you can try a few exquisite items from the ala carte menu as well just like we tried
Luchi with Aloor Dum: This dish is evergreen. Puja mornings never goes by without a taste of Luchi and aloor Dum. The gravy was too good.
Loitta Sheel-e-bata: I had tasted the chicken and the prawn version but first time tried this. Its superb rich in spices and masala. Goes nice with white rice.
Ilish Bharta: Even thought i am a huge Illish fan, i had never tried this item. Its a delight for all who cant have illish because of the bones. This boneless delicasy goes well with rice.
Bhetki Paturi: True Bhetki fish wrapped in banana leaf with a rich paste of mustard and chilli. This is one of the best dish of the house.
So overall an amazing experience , and one of the best restaurant in the market with good and resonable food.

The ambience is very nice and food is good. If you are a bengali food lover u should try this place because the food is nice and affordable. Try this place and you will not regret. It is just near Sreleather's Freschool street .
It is the most popular restaurant among Bangladeshis for Bangla food. If are a Bengali and want to have native food in a clean & affordable restaurant ...Bhoj Company is the one!
Being a Bengali myself, my love for Bengali food is eternal. Bengali cuisines are pride of Kolkata as it shows we Bengalis love have authentic Bengali food wherever we go. One such restaurant serving authentic Dhakai Bengali food in the City of Joy is Bhoj Company which highlights the Bengali culture with it's amazing Bengali food. 😋
So, if you are looking for options to have Bengali dishes specialized from Bangladesh, then definitely go for this place. A proper bangaliana feel what you will get at this place. I have visited the Dalhousie outlet of Bhoj Company many times. I dropped in to the Bhoj Company New Market outlet for the first-time last week with my friends to try out some authentic Dhakai Bengali cuisine which our mothers make at home. ❤The taste bud experience of Dhaka fulfilled under one roof in our very own City of Joy.
▶ Location: This outlet of Bhoj Company is located on the Free-school street area. A few minutes of walk from the New Market area.
▶Ambience/Décor/Service: The decor was amazing yet simple and the seating was spacious with a soothing ambience for a perfect family dinner and lunch. The place is being decorated with some Bengali traditional things. Altogether I loved it very much. A mild Rabindra sangeet music being played at this restaurant which will make you feel more nostalgic.
Hospitality-Top notch! The waiters are well trained. Service has been prompt and perfect.
▶ Now, coming to the food, who doesn't love Authentic Bengali Cuisine, right?
They have variety of options in the Dhakai Bengali cuisine which connects Epar Bangla to Opar Bangla. All the items were just lip-smacking. We had ordered:
❤ Food (Starters) 😋
⚜️ Calcutta Style Fish Fry- The fish fry was undoubtedly one of the best in Calcutta! No evening adda can start off without some chaa accompanied by garam garam Fish Fry like this. It was served along with French Fries and Kashundi.
❤ Main Course🍗
🔸 Moving on to the Main Course:
⚜️Dhakai Morog Pulao: This is a pure delicacy which is originated from Bangladesh. It is simple pulao rice which is delicious. One part is ghee rice with some fried onions and is served with a light white creamy gravy of a chicken and an egg. This is a heavy dish but it's worth a try. You might have had different types of pulao, but none of them can match this item.
❤ Dessert/Mishtimukh😍
🔸 Lastly, the desserts complete the meal with:
⚜️Rasmalai: This is not your regular rasmalai. It is infused with some Nolen Gur which adds a new dimension to the flavours.
Taste Quotient: 5/5
Ambience and Decor: 4/5
Service: 4.5/5
Bhoj Company lives up to its name catering some finger licking food to the "Bhojonroshik Bangali" of Kolkata.
▶Overall: - Overall, I am really very impressed with the place. Bhoj company has maintained its quality and taste and thus made a good impression among bong foodies in Kolkata since a long time. If you want to taste the perfect authentic Bengali food item, then this is the right place for you. My experience was amazing. Will surely visit once again to try some of their other delicacies❤.
So delighted to have visited this place after a long time. The decor and the ambience is still the same and so is its good food and service.
** Location: Free School Street
Ordered a fish fry, a plate of Morog Polau and Rasmalai, our favourites.
* The Morog Polau being the show-stealer, comprised of a mildly fragrant sweet rice along with a flavourful yet light chicken curry. The combination was heavenly, I can vouch for. A must must try, if u visit Bhoj company any time soon.
* The fish fry is no less! The fish being so fresh and juicy; a one of its kind. Highly recommend.
* The Rasmalai was flavourful with Nolen gur and it was undoubtedly yum.
Have tried a couple of other things from this place; the other highly recommended ones and they were amazing 👌 This place is a must visit if you love bengali food, being a Bengali or not.
Well whenever it comes to Bangali Bhuribhoj, the first restaurant that strikes in my mind is The Bhoj Company because they never dissapoints with the quality of food they serve.
The restaurant connects Epar Bangla to Opar Bangla with their authentic dishses.
So, now lets move onto the bhuribhoj session 😋
• Calcutta Style Fish Fry : Fresh Bhetki fillet coated with thin crispy layer. It is served along with french fries and kashundi (mustard sauce). One of the best fish fry served in the city of joy.
• Dhakai Morog Polao : What shall i say about this dish? Simple yet delicious. Dhakai style polao served along with Dhakai Morog(based on a light gravy).
• Roso Malai : Sweets are must after a delicious bengali meal and this has to be the showstopper!
The Bhoj Company has always held a special place ever since it came to existence due to the brilliant quality of food it offers no matter what the occasion or time of the day. They never compromise on the essential things which in turn have gone a long way in making this place one the best serving authentic Bengali cuisine. Recently visited the New market branch with a bunch of friends and after casually going through some of the recent Zomato recommendations, we ordered their Bhetki Fish Fry for starters & Morog Pulao for main course. The fish fry is undoubtedly one of the best in Calcutta! Thinnest yet very crispy layer of coating with the fattest chunk of pure fish fillet made this a delight to savour! Served with the amazing Kashundi this was one hell of a starter.
Next up was our Morog Pulao. The Ghee Rice was so fragnant and tasted so light and beautiful at the same time. Paired with it's better half was a chicken in a flavoursome broth which is somewhat like a cross between a rezala and a stew. Difficult to put into words, this tasted out of the world together!
Definitely try this the next time you drop in here & you can thank me later. This was a complete meal in itself, so I suggest you don't order anything else in main course if you want the flavors of the Morog to linger in your palette. But you can always have Desserts. They don't hurt. ;) Tried their Roso Malai which had a generous amount of liquid Nolen gur as a topping. Loved it. Will be back soon again for sure.
Today's food talk will start with Fish Fry made from no non-sense but pure bhetki and concludes with Dhakai Morog Pulao - a GHEE'ish affair.
I've always admired the passion of Bhoj Company in fusing the delicacies from opar bangla to epar bangla and that's exactly what sets their menu apart i.e Dhaka and kolkata under one roof - and talking about our city of joy, no evening adda can start off without some chaa accompanied by garma garam Fish Fry/Cutlet but finding authentic fish fry(Made from Bhetki) is the rarest thing and that search ends with The Bhoj.
That beautiful aroma is enough to formulate the authenticity of the fry and what is it that adds to the game? That little dose of kasundi along with some french fries.
Tastes fresh, perfectly crispy - subtle yet elegant.
The showstopper though?
The DHAKAI MOROG PULAO.
That elegant dosage of ghee seeping through each and every fibre of that super soft MOROG, flavours oozing out at every dig you make.
The jugalbandi of the pulao with that Morog(based on a light gravy) holding a stew element to it surely allows me to add that extra point for the food roster of The Bhoj Co.
Classic is the word that describes this offering from the house of BHOJ CO.
The tastebud experience of dhaka fulfilled under one roof in our very own city of kolkata.
Highly Recommended.
Bangladesh cuisine , good taste reasonably priced .. can try after hard walking thru street marketing at Esplanade .. The ambiance is ok but small place

Ordered Dum Pulao with Mutton Kosha, it was lip smashing and had a great flavor. I just loved it and my heart felt for this dish. It was just amazing, I just can't express my feelings with words. It contained a good amount of pulao and two pieces of mutton with come gravy.
Highly Recommended.
I was never a fan of having Bengali cuisine at restaurants because it is what we eat at home !!
But since the day I tried the other branch of the Bhoj Company I have been looking for opportunities to visit the restaurant time and again. They specialize in Dhakai Bengali cuisine and serve up some lipsmacking yet simple dishes!
So this Sunday I went in at their New market branch at Free School Street with my family and settled for a rather simple choices of dishes from their menu. It was rice, dal, aloo bhaja, mutton curry, shile bata loite and chatni.
What made the otherwise simple and homely meal exotic was the shile bata loite. Loite fish is very highly priced because of it's taste. And these people have done justice to the fish by making this simply lipsmacking dish. It is has a paste like consistency and it eaten with steaming hot rice. To be honest one can finish an entire meal with just these two - shile bata loite and rice. It is very filling too and quite rich but will not impose any discomfort to your stomach.
The mutton curry was quite homely and went perfectly with the rice. The chutney had the right amount of sweetness which is very important.A bad chutney at the end a delicious meal can ruin your whole experience.
The service was quite prompt. The decor is in accordance with the cuisine served here and the ambience is very soothing.
Will be visiting soon!

It says,
If you love food, food loves you back even more.
And what better than a weekend to rejoice the ultimate taste of authentic bengali cuisine in an authentic bengali place, serving the bangal food happily.
The Bhoj Company is the ultimate solution to end your cravings with.
Looking for a place that serves food that tastes amazing, priced good and quality ofcourse is a 5 star.
Coming to the food , We had
●Shil e bata Loitta
This was the star dish of the day,The proper blend of spices with loitta mach tastes the best when served with gorom bhaat,Ate almost half of the rice with this only.
(THATS HOW THE STAR DISH WORKED LITERALLY)
●Bhaat,Dal and Alu bhaja
●Mutton Curry
A bit spicy though tastes amazing,The perfectly cooked mutton had almost the fall of a bone scene,Loved the juicy gravy.
●Aam er chatney
Having this post lunch is the ultimate tradition we have been following in summers especially,Packed with full of flavours and was adequately sweet.
I would surely recommend THE BHOJ COMPANY to everyone looking for a homely atmosphere with a great food.
The Bhoj Conpany has always been my favourite for authentic Dhakai bengali Cuisine. I visited this outlet of the restaurant and experienced the same quality of mind blowing food.
We ordered the few following dishes
Moong Dal with jhuri alu bhaja: a comfort food for all the bengalis out there. The dal was delicious and the alu bhaja was really crunchy.
Sheel e bata loitta: I wanted to try this dish which is a signature dish of the restaurant. It is a must have here. Utterly delicious and is enough to be a meal singlehandedly if accompanied with steamed rice.
Kosha Mangsho: Well cooked mutton pieces in mildly spicy gravy, very tasty. The quality of the meat is really good and the size of the pieces also quite decent.
Chutney-papad: The sweet and sour chutney accompanied by crunchy, fried papad is a must in bengali meal and there was no exception here.
The service is swift and the behaviour of the stuff very polite. I recommend all foodies to go and check out this restaurant for awesome food in affordable price.
Location:
This restaurant is situated in the new market area of Esplanade and can be easily located. Walking distance from the metro station.
Ambience:
I have visited the Dalhousie branch for a couple of times but I loved the decor of this place as well. If you looking for a classic bangladeshi cuisine food then this place serves the best dining experience. I received a warm hospitality from the staff services as well.
Food Review:
1. Rajdori Fry
I really loved this starter. I tasted it for the first time and predicted that the stuffing was done with chana and cheese making the fry awesome in taste.
2. Bhetki Maacher Kochuri Potal Bata Chutney diye
This is an another item which I would earnestly request everyone to give it a try. Never had an idea that potol chutney can taste so good and a kochuri can have the stuffing of Bhetki maach. I’m in love with this dish.
3. Daal, Alu Bhaja with Sada Bhaat
A bengali plate will be incomplete without the combination of the above and I ended up ordering the same. I totally astonished with the way that these simple things will taste so good.
4.Sil e bata Lote Maach
This is the best thing which happened to me that day. I literally ended up licking my fingers. They were able to made it perfectly.
5.Mutton Curry
This was may be the climax of my dinning experience at Bhoj Company. The mutton pieces were perfectly boiled and cooked in rich spices. The quantity and taste both are satisfactory.
6.Aam er Chutney
This was really good and tasted best when served with pappad. The taste of sour and sweet was quite balanced which made the dish extremely delicious.
Recommendation:
Bhetki Maacher Kochuri Potal Bata Chutney diye
Sil e bata Lote Maach
Mutton Curry
The Bhoj Company always has my back when the mood strikes for authentic and delish Bangali cuisine. And the best part is that everything in this outlet comes at a super affordable pricing. Went there today with my family and opted for a classic Bengali lunch, comprising of Bhaat, jhuri aloo bhaja, moong dal, sil a bata lote maach, mutton curry and chatni. Every single dish was carefully crafted to perfection, and the service was equally great!
🌋🌋The show stealer - Sil a bata lote maach! Never had anything like this before! The paste was thick, spicy, flavorful and we felt like having all the rice with this single dish only. It was that good! Highly recommended!
🌋 The mutton curry was a bit on the spicier side, and was extremely delicious. 3 succulent mutton pieces were served in ample amount of gravy. Would surely recommend this one!
🌫️ The chatni was perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a better ending to the meal. Neither too sweet, nor too bland.
It was a sudden plan, we were on the way towards college street for some work and suddenly my stomach starterd screaming for some food. Asked zomato to recommend something around there and found it this way.
Located at new market fire brigade, very congested place. We struggled to park our car a bit. Other than us all were bangladeshi peoole over there, came to know that this is very famous among them and whenever they come to kolkata they must visit this restaurant once.
It is not that spacious and due to overcrowd it becomes a bit noisy inside. We ordered bhetki finger with kasundi, deradun rice, kochu pata chingri, mutton kosha, pabda macher jhal and tomato chatni. They very first item blown away our mind, it was so yummy. Fresh bhetki was inside the finger! I would highly recommend this dish to all. Rice was served hot and quantity was really good. We took 2 rice and it was sufficient for we 3 people. Kochu pata chingri was good. Mutton kosha was good in taste, the gravy was tasted heavenly! Pabda was fresh and well cooked. The tomato chatni was delicious.
At the end we ordered malai kulfi and it dissapointed us. It was not that good. Pocket pinch is in the lower side, so u can visit this place in a group and it will not cost that much. As a whole a very good experience!

Ideal place to have Bengali dishes. This is best place to have authentic Bengali food. Value for money. Every dish has it's unique test. Rated 5 star for quality, quantity, price, taste and service. We tried kochu chingri bhapa, bhaat, bhetki paturi, bhetki fish fry, dhakai murgh, aam doi, nolen gurer rosmalai. Each dish has it's unique and authentic taste. First time got gandharaj lebu in salad in a Bengali cuisine restaurant.
Today I try this outlet of bhoj company, I ordered Chicken Korma and lachha paratha.
They deliver almost after 1 hour but the food is worth it.
Chicken Korma : The chicken korma is such a nice treat , chicken is tender and the sauce is perfect. I loved it.
Lachha paratha : Very nice and soft.
A Bengali is never tired of Bengali food. And a Bengali away from home literally craves for Bengali food all the time. So we had:
Aam porar shorbot: The perfect drink to beat the heat. Period. They prepare with natural ingredients and it's the best drink to cool yourself down in this summer.
Echor er daalna: A beautiful gravy of echor (raw jackfruit) with aloo. Such veg delicacies are pure love.
Kochu pata chingri bhapa: If you're a prawn lover like me, you have got to try out this dish. The kochu pata can never taste better.
Murgi sheel-e-bata: A completely new concept of food. It's basically minced meat with spices. But the taste isn't as simple as the description. So I definitely recommend this dish.
Loitta sheel-e-bata: The same concept as the previous item but this time instead of chicken it's loitta fish.
Dhakai Morog Pulao: A pure Dhakai delicacy. It comes in two parts. One part is ghee rice with some fried onions and the other is a white creamy gravy of a chicken piece and an egg. This is a heavy dish but it's worth a try. You might have had different types of pulao, but none of them can match this item.
Aamer Chutney: And a Bengali cuisine is incomplete without some chutney. And when it's of mango, I'm happier.
Rasomalai: This is not your regular rasmalai. It is infused with some Nolen Gur which adds a new dimension to the flavours.
Overall an amazing lunch. I could feel my heart jumping with happiness because of my happy tummy. The place also serves Chinese, so you're definitely spoilt for choices.
Went here when I was in Kolkata for a business trip and had one of the best mutton biryani. The mutton was so soft and tender and along with the rice which was good as well.
In the end for sweets I had mishti doi and rasgulla and both were just too good and at a very affordable rates
A must visit place when in park street area
First of all, the people who work here are very cordial and generous.. so 1 star is for them.. okay let's come to the main part of this review.. food.. we ordered Murgir Cutlet and Bhetki Fish Finger as starters.. they were delicious and highly recommended.. when we were ordering for the main course and we wanted to order Dhakai Morog Pulao, which is Bhoj's special dish but they could not provide that as that was not available.. my problem is, if you are mentioning your special items on the menu card, you should have those items in stock.. then we ordered Bengali Pulao with Chicken Curry and Mutton Curry.. they were not up to the mark and mutton & chicken pieces were not appreciable at all.
Ordered home delivery!!
We ordered four luchi with aloor dum combo.
Food was good.
Taste of aloor dum was very nice and luchi was crispy too.
Happy fooding 😊
Went for lunch, it was a good decision. Simple food, no frills type. But the quality was really impressive. The simplicity is the USP. The shukto was amazing, Dal and jhuri aloo bhaja didnot disappoint as well. Chutney was excellent. The rice quality and boal maach was not up to the mark. Overall a good experience. Will surely recommend.
One of the oldest Bangladeshi restaurant serving authentic food. Not so spacious yet a very soothing ambiance. Yes, a bit too crowdy on weekends but i am sure you will never be disappointed with the droolworthy taste of the food and hospitality of the staffs.
In frame:
1. Bhoj special jumbo prawn malai curry
2. Pabda macher jhal
3. Fish fry with kasundi and french fries
So, drop in soon to have some amazing dishes at affordable price.
The fish is the highlight here, and yet the Desi cock Curry is nothing short of outstanding. I do think this is the best Bengali food place after eating at various four star places.
#Bengalifish
Bengali Cuisine is quite popular now in Kolkata bringing more and more Brands to come up. Other than 6 Ballygunje Place,Bhojohari Manna, The Bhoj Company is another joint to gorge upon.
Bangladeshi Cuisine is also available here. Unique platters cooked to perfection. Pleased with their service. Pricing is standard.
Bengali cuisine is so rich and diverse that there is never a dearth of appetizing and mouth watering food in the dining table. The cultural diversity is one primary and influencing factors on the food habit of the present generation . The ever debatable differences on the food habit of the people of "Epaar Bangla " and "Opaar Bangla" is one of the age old traditions that is even popular among the youngsters of today. At every college canteen or school tuition, you would find a Ghoti and Bangal arguing about the Ilish and Chingri or the Kochu bata and the Alu posto . But globalization has united us in terms of our love and affinity towards our cultural heritage .So you can very well find a Ghoti enjoying some Kochur Loti for lunch at his office ,while a Bangal cooking Alu Posto for dinner.
My parents are extremely skeptical when it comes to Bengali food.So when we decided for a Bengali lunch outside home,I was under pressure to treat them to some authentic flavors. Bhoj company near Dalhousie was our destination for the day given it's simple and home style cooked food had caught my attention before.
The small two floored place had very sophisticated minimal decor .Formal seating arrangement with a few paintings on the wall that stood out .The backdrop was of subtle orange and white with a sleek wooden staircase leading to the floor above.
The place is known to serve some authentic and exquisite Bengali dishes and we decided to try a few of them.Starting our lunch with
Kochupata bata chingri bhapa served with plain basamati rice .The addition of mustard paste worked as a charm for this dish. The Taro leaves along with the combination of prawns created magic on the plate.
Murgi Shile Baata is another dish that is rarely found in a bengali household these days. The Bhoj company nailed it perfectly with a spicy tangy taste and less oil.
Bhuna Khichuri with Mutton curry was my personal favourite among all. The khichuri was a standout reminding me of the taste of Thakur barir khichuri paired with a light flavorful gravy from the mutton. The mutton piece was soft almost melting in mouth.
Lastly there was a rich luscious combination of mutton and egg famously known as the Mutton Dak-banglow. The special attraction was because of the egg mixed with the mutton that enhanced the texture and gave it so much flavor.
Bhoj company has pleasantly retained all the authentic flavors of the dishes that would take you back to your childhood. The presentation was simple and the servers made sure we had a grand family lunch. The place is always crowded for it is reasonable price and good food that gives you a feel of your own home. Bhoj lives up to it's name catering some finger licking food to the "bhojonroshik bangali" of Kolkata.
'Kolkata' the name that might remind you of authentic bengali food..Bengali cuisine is one of the most eclectic of Indian regional cuisines..A protocol of having a typical Bengali meal has evolved traditionally starting with a bitter preparation and ending with sweets.
The Bhoj company is born out of deep passion for cooking and a love for authentic Bengali cuisine. I have visited this place on my birthday with my best friend (Shibashis Tintin Biswas), situated at Mirza galib street just opposite of Kasturi..A simply decorated restaurant with some Bengali traditional thing and dim lit make this a nice place for you and your family to visit for a grand evening that will leave you craving for more.A mild Rabindra sangeet music being played at the backdrop which make you feel more nostalgic..
We ordered,
•Rice
•Jhuri Aloo Bhaja-Crispy, fried potato juliennes served alongside some steaming rice, hot dal, and a wedge of lemon tend to justify their own existence..They served ample amount of aloo bhaja which is a part of Bengali cuisine..
•Musur Dal- We can never think jhuri aloo bhaja without any kind of dal..So we ordered musur dal which was really very tasty..
•Kochu Pata chingri bhapa- Next comes the main attraction of this place. The kochu pata chingri bhapa (steamed taro leaves and shrimp). I can come here everyday only for this dish. It is heavenly to say the least. A must try if you come here.
•Bhetki Paturi- They served this signature Bengali fish dish where bhetki mach along with a paste of mustard and coconut wrapped in banana leaf and end result is melting in mouth Bhetki macher Paturi.
•Chicken Curry-It tastes like authentic robibarer murgir jhol which my mother makes at home..Served a hot, spicy, and delicious Bengali chicken curry, packed full of the flavours of ginger, garlic , and shahi garam masala. The thin consistency makes this chicken curry very light.
Service is prompt and Staffs were very polite and we'll behaved..This place is also very pocket friendly..Overall, my experience was great..I'm looking forward to my next visit..
Location is very prime, just opposite to the fire brigade at new market area Mirza Ghalib Street. There's not much place for parking, perhaps it can be done at Simpark mall and then you can walk down to that place. Ambiance is average and crowd is most of the Dhakai Bengalis. The staff is friendly but need more grooming some reboot could be done to the restaurant like the plates served should be wiped and clean rather wet which happened for us. Also no tissues on the table. No option for Normal water, everyone is aught to purchase mineral water. Taste is authentic Dhakai Bengali . Full marks to that. We had ordered super fry chicken and fish finger as starters. Fish Finger was one of the best tasted till date.. great mixture of batter and fish. In main course we had rice, moong daal, Bengali pulao, bhuna khichdi, mutton kasha, chicken kasha, pabda maach er jhol, bhetki paturi , and jhuri aaloo bhaja. All were great in taste. On desserts we had Mishti doi.. it's a must have amazing taste. The taste was top notch.. price is pocket friendly. Overall great except the staff and services that would need an improvement. People who love Dhakai food should come here.
Amazing place for having Bengali cuisines in such a crowded place new market...very easy to locate opposite of Kasturi...the place was not so specious but the food and decor was amazing, I went here with my mom and dad during their anniversary....a nice family restaurant and the staffs were very good they will help u to choose ur meal...we ordered Bengali pulao , mutton kosha , plain dal , steamed rice and aloo bhaja...this place is very popular among Bangladeshi tourist because of their food... so next time if u r going for shopping plz do try their food u will not regret...for any further info comment below..
This new year tried some authentic Bengali food with my friends at one of the popular restaurant of Kolkata...The Bhoj Company...
The ambience was really interesting... modern and sleek decoration, with Bengali touch and feel..
Reasonably priced with a proper quantity quite an interesting one....
The food we tried were all so delicious...
Gondhoraj Chicken fry - crispy fry hot and mouthwatering....with the dip of kasundi and French fries...uff really unforgettable.
This new year started my food journey with some amazing Bengali cuisine at our well-known restaurant The Bhoj Company...
Dum polao - sweet polao was also very good and of quite a good quantity...
Bhuna khichuri with mutton curry - mutton is always a must for Bengali food lovers and khichuri with that was a powerful combo ...
Murgi sheel e bata - the show stopper of the day...a dish which is also my favourite...
Last but not the least..
Mutton dak banglow...this is one the most popular dish which is a favourite of all Bengalis...and so it is for me...really too good...but here they have Cooked it a bit differently... instead of putting boiled egg they have made the gravy with shredded egg which actually made the dish quite an unique one...
Overall an amazing experience.. planning for next visit with family....
Since it was an occasion of Aiburobhat (Bachelor's rice)of one our friend so Bengali cuisine was the first choice and the name came to our mind is Bhoj.. previously I visited Dalhousie branch and my experience was very good..
Location-this one is just beside Free School Street Srealeather's branch, easy to navigate.
Food-we ordered muche muche chicken (4pcs)4/5,bhetki fish finger (6pcs)4/5,rice ,moongdal, aloo bhaja, aloo chokha, bhetki paturi 5/5 kochupata bata chingri 5/5, chicken kosha & curry 3.5/5[they claimed to be serving Desi murgi which was not but tasted good]
Service and ambience-staff and ambience of restaurant is pretty decent..since it was Sunday so rush was there we had to wait for a bit for sitting and ordering but it was completely okay ..overall my experience with Dalhousie branch was much better than this as menu variation is quite more than this branch..
P.s we also had deserts (rosomalai, aamdoi) from just outside which was the part of the restaurant..and it tastes heavenly delicious..
We went their to have some lite food at one fine evening. The ambiance and the hospitality was impressive. The ambiance is obviously inspired on Bengali Tradition. The selection of the music is Rabindra Sangeet, which goes perfectly with the theme of the restaurant.
We ordered Fish Fingers and Veg Hakka Noodles. The food was tasty and the quantity is reasonable at this price range. They served Fish Fingers with French Fries, Chilly Sauce and Mustard.
Though we didn't go there for Lunch or Dinner this time, but we really look forward to visit the place once again and try their authentic Bengali Cuisine.
Food Quality : 4/5
Food Quantity : 4/5
Ambiance : 4/5
Service & Hospitality :3/5
So is a birthday treat. We are looking for a typical Bengali restaurant. Then we found The Bhoj Company near Park Street fire brigade headquarter. Where are you really 3 p.m, most of good itemd were going to be finished.
Let's talk about food. We ordered 3 plates of rice, Shona Moong Dal, Mixed Sabji instead of Jhuri Aloo Bhaja, as it already finished, 3 Kachu Pata Chingri Bhapa, nd kosha mangsho(chiken) and green salad. All food were cooked extremely well, taste was delicious. And the top of that, we ordered another Kachu Pata Chingri Bhapa, as it tastes like heaven. Chicken test was moderate, light in masala, favourable for anyone. The total amount below thousand rupees.
Ambience is good, most of Bangladeshi citizen used to come here. You can feel BANGALIANA, a nice Bengali song of steamed from background.
Service were good, waiter's behave very friendly and healthful. All over I keep this is restaurant 4 out of 5.
Food- 4.5/5
Ambience- 3/5
Service- 4/5
Price- 3/5
Thank you.. ☺️
"The taste of my roots"- that's how I should start as the authenticity of each and every dish made me say this to myself with every bite.
I ordered:
🍽️ Bengali Polao: A simple, yet such a delicious preparation of white rice. The sweet fragrance of the pure ghee enriched the taste. Loved it.
🍽️ Chicken Kosha: As soon as I had tasted it I became a fan of it out of curiosity how such a delectable chicken curry can be made keeping it mild. Highly recommended.
🍽️ Kochu Pata Chingri Bhapa: The abundant amount of prawns are streamed along with mustard and the shredded arum leaves. This rare dish is a masterpiece that bewildered me to know how unique bengali cuisine is. Highly recommended and a must try.
🍽️ Chicken Tandoori (Half): The two alluring piece of tandoori chicken were perfectly cooked, with the essence of the clay-oven and the coal that gives it the exact texture it should have.
👉 HIGHS:
• The elegant taste of every dish.
• The mind bogglingly cheap price.
• The polite and helpful staffs.
• Easy to locate (Right beside Indian Museum take the road towards Free School Street).
👉 LOWS:
• All the dishes were not available so I have to wait for my next visit to taste them.
👉 Tips:
Try the Chicken Kosha, the Kochu Pata Chingri Bhapa.
Best regards to team The Bhoj Company.
Being of Bangladeshi origin myself I can admit that this place comes closest to a home cooked meal. I love everything here. The prawn malai curry, the murg pulao, chorchori, bharta, fish fry and ilish is a must try here. Actually just eat everything here. It’s all great food. A must try for people looking for Bengali food in the city.
“বাঙালি” শব্দটা শুনলেই একটা গর্বিত ভাব আসে,তাই না?. আর এই বাঙালি কিন্তু পরিচয় পায় তার বাংলা খাবার প্রদর্শনের মাধ্যমে । আর এই বাঙালিয়ানার সেরা স্বাদ খুঁজে চলেছে বাঙালি যুগযুগ ধরে ।

I visited The Bhoj Company at free school street a few days back. The specialise in authentic bengali cuisine which our mothers make at home. They also serve light yet flavourful bengali food at reasonable prices. They also serve north indian and chinese dishes but i opted for what they are best at.
Menu
✔Dum Polao (4/5)
✔ steamed Rice (5/5)
✔ fish finger (5/5)
✔ chitol mach (5/5)
✔ sorshe ilish (4.5/5)
✔ much muche murgi (4/5)
✔ mutton kosha (5/5)
✔ chitol mach er muitha (5/5)
✔ chatni (4.5/5)
I loved the experience at this place. The staff were very polite and helpful. The food was amazing and the ambience was classy with soft instrumental music playing in the background. Every thing has a bengali touch to it, be it decors or furnitures.
The main USP of this restaurant is its food. Other things are not upto the mark. There was cockroach in the table and the dishes was not not clean properly I had to change the dish twice. Lastluly if you want best Bangladeshi food you may go and try this out.
If you're looking for food that feels like home cooked, is authentic in taste without being overspiced or heavy, then look no further.
If I was staying in Kolkata for long, I would without doubt have my main meal of the day here everyday, for that would be my comfort food.
The ambience is very basic. But neat and clean. They serve with love. Food options are plenty.
Good restaurant for authentic Bengali food. The only problem is quantity. Some items are very less in quantity. Sunday is quite crowded.
This is the best Vetki Pantua I have ever eaten. Their mutton kosha was also very tasty.
Vetki Pantua 5 on 5
Mutton kosha 5 on 5
Chicken curry 4 on 5
Mixed vegetables 5 on 5
Food quality is too good, but service is not on point.
My recent visit to this restaurant was truly outstanding. From the warm and welcoming ambiance to the delectable dishes, every aspect of the dining experience exceeded my expectations. The attentive service added to the overall enjoyment. I highly recommend trying their Chicken Khosha – it's a culinary masterpiece. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable meal.
Visited this branch for the first time..
Actually we went there to 'treat' one of our friend before his marriage, what we bengalis called "Aiburovaat"..
We didn't find any thalis in their menu, so we went for Ala Carte..
We had,
*Plain Rice ₹50
*Vetki Paturi ₹280
*Jinga Alu Posto ₹140
*Jhuri Alu Bhaja ₹50
*Chicken Curry ₹130
*Bhteki Fish Fry ₹180
*Chatney ₹70
*Misti Doi ₹40
*Rasagolla ₹40
Quality and taste of the food were good..
But as we visited late afternoon (around 5pm), we couldn't find few items like Daal, Papad, Mutton and Morog Polao..
Overall experience was good..👍🏻
Durga Puja for bengali has a different place all together in the heart of Bengali.
4.0 star. Authentic bengali cuisine, excellent interior decoration, food taste is good to delicious depending upon items, limited options and few of the items written in menu chart are available, price is justifiable with quality, quality-quantity balanced, service is poor to average, number of staffs are less in number, they are neither efficient nor accomodating, you have to call them repeatedly everytime for your purpose, payment process is peculiar, payment of water and deserts must be done in cash separately from all other food items.
It is a small restaurant with limited sitting area. The ambience and sitting arrangement is pretty basic. They specialise in authentic bengali food. And trust me, you won't be disappointed!! For a non-bengali, try taking suggestions from the waiter as you might not understand what a dish is made of just by reading the name in the menu. Would have be even better if the serving size was a bit larger for the price they charge.
I dined at this restaurant on my visit to Kolkata. Very good service that starts with a humble smile and helpful attitude.
I tried a vegetable dish with cauliflower and potato, the spice blend was delicious, I literally wiped the plate clean of that gravy. The fish in tomato gravy was tasty as well. I enjoyed a tender coconut ice cream in the end.
Recommened!

Perfect place to taste authentic Bengali cuisine...price was reasonable and ambience was nice. We have tested some of Bhoj special dishes...and food was PERFECT!
❤The taste bud experience of Dhaka fulfilled under one roof in our very own City of Joy.😍🥰
Friendly staff, beautiful deco and pleasant ambience. But the food, marvellous. Pure bengali cuisine can be found here. Loved all the three items ordered.
All foodie who wants to get a taste of bengali cuisine please visit here.
Have some of it and enjoy the cuisine.
Food is excellent. Space is not so big. Still atmosphere is good. But the food is awesome. We ordered Pulao, Chicken kosha, Bhetki fries, Bhoj special pulao which have chicken rezala combo. That was amazing. Must try. Quantity is good enough.
