Earlier use to visit this place often. Last went in dec 2019. The ambience and live music is still kickass but the food prices are exorbitant and taste not up to the mark. Still this place rocks for its drinks and ambience

I had heard about this place many a times but I couldn't make it to this place until last Sunday ,so here I'm going to write an honest review. This place is amazing, the ambience is very nice, the staffs are very polite and the food is also worth appreciating.If you are an alcohol lover,and if you really want the best place to sit and enjoy then I would recommend this place surely. I had an amazing time there with one of my friends,and looking forward for more over there. In a word I'd say this place is "wow"
Been here on multiple occasions. One of the most lively and legendary bars in town. They have live music on most evenings and it is really a peppy environment with a good vibe. Do try their Beer pitcher. Their beer is awesome for some reason. Totally awesome.
However though the place isn’t too big and one complaint I have is that the music is too loud for the small space probably even harmful for one’s hearing if they stay for a long time. Even during live music sessions, the music is so loud, it’s hard to hear the vocals of the artists actually singing there. It would be very nice if they can tune it well and reduce the volume to something appropriate for the space they have.
You do get valet parking from The Park, so that is an added bonus.
Located inside the iconic Park hotel at Park Street, this cafe is the best place to chill, with live band performance and a bottle of cold beer. The fish n chips and chilli chicken were one of the best in the city. Recommend this to all beer lovers and rock music enthusiasts 👍

The band plays some of the best covers ever and that’s what the hype is about surrounding this place, and the happy hours usually last all day everyday til 8 at night or so. The place isn’t too big neither too small and the drinks are pretty good. So it’s def a place you should check out if you’re in Park Street area!

Oh what an amazing place. Loved it, will rank it among the top 3 pubs in Kolkata. Superb Ambience. Great Decor. But would like to complain about the waiter, he did not guide us properly and mislead us i guess, that's why the bill was expensive. He told us he will add one Heineken in happy hours but in the bill we saw he charged two Heineken were charged. Totally unexpected. This is not expected given the reputation of the place. But other than this the experience was good. Please tell your staffs to not mislead people. These are our hard earned money. The staff was a North Eastern guy (look wise).

The live band and Ashif were the only highlight of my visit. The staff was courteous however seems pre occupied most of the time. Overall a good time with friends would not be bad. Food ordered never reached my table in the 1.5 hours that I spent which was a huge disappointment. The bar tender did provide munchies in the meanwhile but kitchen never delivered.

If cool live music and drinks with your special one is on your must-haves, this place is a no brainier and gives you all. Located inside the Park Hotel premises, you are definitely gonna have a great time here. The ambiance is awesome with some wooden furniture and high bars that sets your mood right. The food needs improvement but who cares when you may have chance to see your favourite director taking sips from his drinks right next to the table of yours 😊

An absolutely fabulous experience!!! We came here twice during the 2018 Puja and and we weren’t disappointed. The food is extremely tasty and the staff are very well behaved. Those who think that everything is overpriced here, I’d like to remind you you’re not just paying for the food but the service and the ambience as well. Will come here again definitely.

The place was cozy. Had a non-existent crowd. The place was pretty hard to locate since the directions weren't clear. Had a wide variety of drinks but one thing that surprised me was the absence of Jack Daniels from the menu. They have a live music after 2100 hours, not a minute before :p

Small bar, contemporary setting much like the other bars on Park Street. Music sure is great. Have never been let down by the quality of bands. Place starts to come in it’s fibre post ten. The flip side of this lovely place is the cost of drinks which is higher than what it would cost at swanky five stars with good mixologists. The drinks and mixology is not in line with the prices. Stick to draught and you will be a happy man !!
they are having happy hours from 4.30 to 8.30 everyday. the offer is 1+1, so you got to give this place a try. servive is good. just one complain, the chair was squeaking get that fixed.

This is amongst the most happening places in town and has remained so over the years. However, you must get there on time to ensure a table. It gets filled up by 9:30-10pm on weekends or on days of special events. Price is on the higher side. Staff cordial and ambience top notch!

I was here to enjoy the Karaoke Nights by Black and White. It was an amazing experience. Talking of the food, I had Black and White, paired with Non Veg Kebab Platter and Chilly Pork.
The kebab platter had three different kebabs - Chicken, Mutton and Fish. The fish kebabs, being very soft and delicate, turned out to be my favourite. The Chilly Pork was very well cooked and went well with the drinks.
Someplace Else is my home away from home. It's not just a hangout place for me but much more than that. I have been a regular here since 2011 and I really don't feel like visiting any place other than Someplace Else. Food is awesome here. Can try out the tandoori betki and prawns. Pork chops is too good. You get a great range of drinks out here. Collection of malts is simply exquisite.

I'm new to the city and this place made me more than welcome. The service is as the name of the place. The bartender,Nilashish deserves a special mention for the prompt service despite the weekend crowds. The staff in their entirety are ever smiling and accomodating. Go here ..not for the drinks but for the ambience and the service. It truly is Someplace Else :)
My most favourite place of all the time.
I can spend hours there alone. This place gives you a old Kolkata vibe. And if you want to have a peg with great music and great ambiance then this is the place for you.
The best part-Awesome music. We went on a Tuesday and the place was buzzing. But it wasn’t to my expectations on the rest of the aspects like the seating arrangement, ambience, etc. Drinks are damn costly. Old Monk rum 30ml cost Rs 450.
Vintage pub of Kolkata I'd say. Highly priced. Not value for money though. But it's in The Park, hence the ambience is A class. When you've a live band performing, the pub's not that soundproof. Hence your ears hurt.
It was my first visit to "Someplace Else - The Park". I went there with two of my best friends and were lucky to enter the place within the Happy Hours. We ordered a Kingfisher Draught Beer and as 1 on 1 offer was on we got another Draught Beer for free. For the starters we ordered two of their Pork items but to be frank none of them were delicious rather was absolutely tasteless. The Live music was good to the ears and the ambience was good too. The place is a bit small compared to the other pubs around and a bit expensive.Overall it was a good experience and would like to visit this place again.
Last sat we went to this pub. Had a beautiful experience. Food was good. The band that played was wonderful. But one thing i can say is this is the smallest pub area wise i have encountered
This is one of the most hyped places in Kolkata. I had been there few days back. I personally loved the place, mostly because of the live orchestra sessions! The area is quite small and cosy. Their food menu is what disappointed me. There were hardly 1 or 2 starters in fish and chicken. And prices were exorbitant. So ambience wise the place is great, but beware, might burn a hole in your pocket if you drink too much😀

Been to this place. Hardly a place there in the pub. May be the smallest of the pubs I have come across. Music they play is fine but overall ambience isn't that the one you expect in the pub.

The park always stuns me with its celebratory mood. Right from when I enter through the narrow door of the street, where one or two bouncers stand and interact casually. Be it that musical pub someplace else or any banquet buffet , I have always been overwhelmed by their friendly attitude. Despite being a star hotel, its warm intimacy greatly helps customers like me ,my curiosity and my appetite and thus it has been possible for me to explore the place little bit.
Someplace Else is a night pub on the ground floor in the park hotel. Live band with beers or cocktails is extremely enjoyable at dinner time or even at 1 am. Irresistible for college goers and the people of young generation. There is a separate smoking chamber inside the pub which is always full of those who love being nocturnal. It is an ideal chamber for taking a short break from loud music
and to meet some stranger where people from different places around the country can be traced. The allure of this night would be further enhanced if one could visit the pool side with a beer bottle in hand for half an hour. I have been at this pub quite a few times. First few experiences will take someone to just another world.

Went out with my friends for the first time... Definitely expensive!!!! The decorations was amazing...the groovy live music compensates.. Food is decent.. Classic beautiful decorations ..and the barbecue was fantastic.. Staffs are very courteous and hospitable.... Superbbbbb cool ambience and atmosphere to hangout with friends...

Visiting this joint since my school days, never ceases to amaze me in terms of music and ambience. Decor is classy and cool. Chilled beer always available. Like the crowd as well. One of the most chilled out places in the city.
My favourite place to chill. It’s one of the oldest and most reputable pub in Kolkata, nevertheless it always lives up to it’s name, truly it’s “someplace else”. Especially the bbq pork sausage, bbq pork chops and the spatchcock mini burger tastes heavenly.
Went out with my friends for the first time. The ambience is too good. The food is average. Considering all these, price is also not tha high. They organise or play good collection of banda and songs.
Definitely expensive! But the groovy live music compensates. Food is decent but the ambience is what draws people. It's always empty on weekdays, and it might end up feeling like a private performance by the band in an empty room!

It was a ladies night. The rocking crowd and brilliant live perfomance from the band Nucleus made this place electrifying. Been there a number of times. One of my favorites pub in Kolkata.

Situated on the basement of park hotel this place provides some nice cozy ambience with live music performances. Been there many time to enjoy the live bands with friends. The cocktails are good but are expensive which is quite expected. Food served is also quite overpriced so better stick to simple stuffs to accompany the drinks. We had charcoal smoked lamb and pork chops which was delicious. I personally didn't like the coriander and chilli crusted chicken! It was not like what I expected. Prices are quite high! But, it justifies the quality of food and the atmosphere prevailing there!
AMBIENCE - this is the only thing that will make you think to revisit it often. It was mesmerizing! A perfect party night with live loud music booming the entire dance floor! Luxurious and sophisticated are the best two adjectives that can describe it.
I will of course recommend it, but, at the same time for students its not possible for everyone to afford, so in that case, take up your family!
I believe, enjoying is something that won't restrict your people-selection!

This pub is part of the The Park Hotels at Park street. The decor is kinda Irish bar with lot of wood used. They have live band performances as well not sure if they keep it all 7 days. Live music is performed by all big bands, last I had witnnessed Ehsaan and Lot playing.

Best pub in the city. And also I like the atmosphere and live music shows. Having beer in front of counter along with live music is just hot knife on top of butter. It's not someplace else, this the place. Must visit and try the park special pizza and wing fry.

Great vibe for the people who prefer rock music genre, great staff there, some awesome cocktails and spirits. The guy Rahul is a gem, asks for your preference everytime and crafts the drink beautifully.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and too our surprise we were in happy hours(until 8.30 pm on Saturday) so got our complimentary free drinks as well.
It's normally a very nice place to watch some awesome bands play and perform live.
Do check beforehand who will be playing and normally always expect a 30-40 minutes delay from the time they advertise.
The drinks are quite expensive. So if you are here only for the pub experience, it will cost you. But if you are here for live performance, the ambience doesn't disappoint.
