One of the best coffee shops in town that may even beat big brands. The most beautiful thing about this would be the strong smell of beans once you step inside. The coffee is amazing, the staffs are quirky, & the ambience... mmm...reminds somewhere in the lonely, old man's den beyond the sea...the lights, carefully renovated wooden ceilings, again reunited from being lost, French windows, arched brick walls, kettles with money plants dangling from them carefully adding up tradition to the space. The yellow tinge, the hue, the crowd from across the globe...believe me, it's mesmerizing !!
A great place that serves delicious food within a good environment, thanks to it's ambience, choice of peaceful melodious tracks and friendliness of the staff. Definitely a recommendation for everyone out there. Dish pictures will be available in my timeline.

The Country House is located in Bhawanipur. The cafe is really nice has a vibrant atmosphere. They have a large variety of dishes along with a separate breakfast menu. We tried their CHILLI CHEESE TOAST that were really nice and cheesy with the right amount of chili to it. It is a dish best paired with a cup of coffee or tea. Also is suitable for any time of the day be it breakfast lunch dinner or snacks.
The place has a classy and calm ambiance to it which is soothing. Also the staff is really friendly and the service is also nice. A nice place to hangout with small groups.

One of my favorite breakfast places in Kolkata - with beautiful decor , big windows making the place airy and bright.
They serve the most amazing eggs Benedict and pancakes- light, fluffy and absolute perfection.
They have good options of drinks right from coffee to smoothies and fresh juices. The sandwiches are also very good.
Value for money - as the portions are quite good for the price they charge.
The servers are warm and thoughtful.

The ambience of this place is quite good as I love vintage places and this place gives a vintage flavour of kolkata with old doors and windows. All the foods were quite tasty specially the choco lava that was too good, and the quality of the pasta can improve.
It's a nice place to visit with family and friends and also a preferable place to have kitty parties.

Being on my bucket list for a long long time, I was more than happy to visit this beautiful place. It is located on the 4C Allenby road, Elgin, just opposite to the lane of Forum mall. It has some amazing happy vibes to it and the alluring brick walled interiors with some paintings hanging on the wall gives a subtle look to this place. With their prompt service and tasty food it was an absolute delight to visit the place.
The molten choco lava tasted like pure heaven. Even if you are not a chocolate lover, still you will love it to bits. The chocolate sauce oozing out was so tempting to watch. The cake was soft and was served hot.

It was basically a breast chicken sliced into pieces which was again stuffed with minced chicken and mushroom. Perfectly accompanied with the sauteed vegetables and the herbed rice, was topped with rosemary jus, was one of the finest dishes I had and I'm happy I did have it.The country house cafe, will give you wholesome satisfaction with their cosy interiors, warm hospitality and truly unique dishes like forestiere. I'm going to visit this place again to try something more from their menu.

Very well kept decor probably in the European settings very fascinating. I had been there with my boyfriend and had ordered one Chicken platter which cost around 350 and one pizza which cost around another 300. Apart from the price being on the higher side the the quantity was less with that the spacing was only for few people. The cafeterias fancy decor was fabulous and very eye catching it is a good place for getting clicked.
One of my go to places is the country house cafe, it’s a great place to visit with family and friends. The place is beautiful and airy with great decor.
Coming to the food, we ordered
•barbecue chicken pizza which was good in taste and had enough chicken and was big enough for 2 person.
• lasagna which was fresh and piping hot and was quite amazing in taste.
• chicken wings which was tasty but the wings size was very small expected them to be a bit large.
• For the mains we tried the Chicken Sizzler & Foriestiere which was very filling and had a large chicken breast and good portion of rice and veggies.
• For the dessert we wrapped with the choco chip pancake with vanilla icecream. It was fluffy and tasted heavenly.
Must visit place, do try the maid and the desserts.

The Country House Cafe has always been on my radar but somehow never managed to step in untill a couple of days ago..
It has a very classy look and feel from the moment you reach the property at #AllenbyRoad - you will be greeted with a vintage looking staircase & beautiful mural art once you step in.. Huge ceilings make the space look big & airy and beautiful colour palettes with aesthetic decor soothes your eyes..
We tried #ChickenAlaKiev which was done pretty well - loads of butter and parsley stuffed inside a chicken breast deep fried to perfection - every bite was buttery and how 😍
Next in line was something unique - #ChickenForiestiere - chicken breast stuffed with mushroom and minced chicken tossed in homemade brown sauce served with herb rice and saute veggies.. Loved the experimental order.. 😍
Pricing and service is upto the mark - they take time to serve the dishes to the table but then I am okay with that part as long as I have been informed in advance which they did..

The food was note worthy. It was kind of exceptional the pancakes and the crepe.
First about the ambience- A cozy place. The way the place is sunkissed makes the place much more cozy and lovely. Specially on on winter morning like we went you would love to feel the sun rays falling on you. 4.5/5 from my side.
For the food-
English breakfast- 4/5 It wolud have been 5 if the hadn't missed those slight points in that dish.
Verry Berry pancake- 5/5 It is simply a joy for your taste buds. Fluffy pancakes made with perfection is served to you with maple syrup. It's truely amazing.
Mushroom crepe- 5/5 I fell in love with those mushrooms. Its a must try dish over here.
Cinnamon coffee- 4/5 Too much cinnamon flavor in it almost covering up the taste of coffee but as the ne suggests it means so only.
Chocolate latte- 5/5 Another thing to love about this place is their coffee. Just loved their coffee. A smooth coffee not too strong with the flavour of chocolate in every sip.
Cold coffee- 2/5 I personally didn't liked that part over here. Nothing exceptional. Average flavour. Maybe we were over pumped due to the other dishes.
Note. Never forget to book a table here before visting. A place even kids can love. Having different board games and books. The staff was prompt as well as courteous.
A place of 5/5 rating but still....... Go on have your breakfast.

Recently, one of our foodie girlfriends gave us her birthday treat at The Country House, the quaint and cosy G+1 cafe at Allenby Road, wherein we enjoyed the following items -
Sweet Lime, Smoky Tomato Soup, Cream Of Mushroom, Nachos, Exotic Veggie Pizza, Creamy Mushroom Risotto, Italian Sizzler, Fluffy Pancake etc.
All the items tasted quite nice.
Therein, we were also served two complimentary Oreo infused Brownies and a small candle, specially for the birthday girl!
This added a lot of joy to our celebratory meal.
The Brownies were freshly baked and tasted excellent.

This was my first visit to The Country House. It's a cute place with a cozy ambience. The staff is polite and courteous. The food was good. The following is what we tried:
Chicken Tender: This is strips of chicken, coated and fried. The coating is flour based which has been flavoured with spices and herbs like rosemary. It tasted nice but chicken was a little bit on the drier side for me.
Fries Basket: This is an assortment of fried potatoes which included some french fries, potato wedges and potato rosti (basically tikki). This was ok. Just your humble fried potatoes. Nothing fancy. I'll rather prefer a big basket of just the French fries over this.
Fish Appetizer: I can't recall its name but it was from a special menu and we absolutely loved this. The fish was cooked perfectly. Juicy and moist, the fillet was glazed with a sauce that tasted really yum as well.
Chicken Caesar Salad: The Salad was overall good, apart from the croutons which was stale. The grilled chicken had a lovely smokiness to it. And rest of the ingredients also seemed fresh. The dressing was yum too.
Chicken Stroganoff: This was nice. The herbed rice was cooked perfectly. It was fluffy and flavourful.
Branzino E Peoci: This was my favourite. A beautifully baked moist and soft fillet of bass resting on a yummy savoury chowder.
Ala Kiev: The Chicken Ala Kiev was nice. I hoped for a larger serving but overall it was ok. The sautéed veggies were done nicely, retaining it's crunch. The potato mash was ok, neither the best that I've had, nor very creamy.
Chicken sizzler: This was also from the special menu, and I can't exactly remember the name. It tasted good, the chicken fillet was glazed with a nice sauce and again the rice and veggies were cooked perfectly. (They seem a bit stingy with the broccoli. Both Ala Kiev and this sizzler had just a single floret)
Watermelon Basil Cooler: The cooler tasted good and was very refreshing but was just a tad bit too sweet for my liking.
Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream: This was good. I love the combination of hot brownie and hot chocolate sauce paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The brownie had an amazing fudgy texture.
Overall, I enjoyed the food here, particularly both of the fish dishes.
This place is situated in an alley that can go unnoticed but once you enter inside this place is going to amaze you. The corners are so beautifully and innovatively decorated. Had tried their pizza, oreo shake and sandwiches. Must try place. Also can be called a vegan's paradise

Bangers and mash were Amazing, with tangy salsa. Mushroom Cheese crepes takes top points. Pancakes and Berry Waffle took sometime to arrive, which was inconvenient, however it came hot and crispy. Hot chocolate was just right, not too sweet. Ambience is quite wonderfully French with natural light streaming through.

We were contemplating which is the best place for breakfast in town after discussing about this we went to Country house , which serves one of the best breakfast combo according to many in this town.
As we went their to our surprise,it was fully crowded we had to wait for 10mins to get our seat , we havent expected this much crowd in this early morning. Anyways by this we can know how much famous this place is.
So we ordered
● English breakfast - The plate consisted
-2 sausages, 2 salami, 2 fried egg's , smashed potato with baked beans and bread's.
And trust me it is one of the best breakfast combo's we have ever had.
●Spanish omeletter - this tasted very okaish in taste , idk but something was missing in this. And i felt its too costly according to what they are serving.
●Berry all the way - It tasted really great,it is a treat to the waffle lover's, it was so soft and at the same time crunchy too. We could get the real taste of blueberry ,its a must try if you love blueberry.
● Mocha latte- The hot coffee with choclate omg it tasted so great could get the real taste of coffe inside our mouth . This one should be definitely on your list.
But we had to wait like half an hour or more to get this order's. So you have to go early to get the foods on time. But they should be quick with serving foods.
And we got offended when we ask one of their staff like how much time more it wil take to get our order's and her reply was that you may cancel the order because it wil take time. This is not the right way to deal with your customer's.
And their ambience is very eye catchy and pleasing . If you want to take some good pictures this one is a perfect place .

This is such an elegant cafe. Housed in an older house, the original structures have been maintained and decorated which adds to the charm. Loved the tall windows and alcoves and the presence of plants combined with the bulbs. Additionally the food is great. The people are very polite and friendly.

Our experience was really good, quite a soothing environment, nicely decorated. Seating arrangements were also nice.
We had Classic Marinara Pizza with extra toppings of Veggies & Chicken. It was a thin-crust pizza. I loved it.
Along with that we had Café Latte. The quantity was too much, quality wise also good.

The Country House Cafe is one fine Cafe located at 4C, Allenby Rd, Sreepally, Bhowanipore, Kolkata 700020. Just next to the lane opposite Forum Mall at Elgin Road. This is one aesthetic looking place that welcomes you with a outer view of French double door windows in blue and fairy white colour walls. Once you come in, the place has a pleasant ambience that has an old charm for the brick wall pattern painted in white and other artistic interiors well put up around the Cafe.
There is ample seating arrangements around that ensures a comfortable experience. Their service and hospitality is warm and courteous. I was more than happy to meet the Owner and know about their journey over the past 4 years since it was opened and now people in the city can't stop talking about their Pancakes, Waffles, Chicken Tenders and what not. They are loving every bit of "The Country House" and so am i after my very first experience that i was glad to take the step ahead finally after such a delay.
Nevertheless i was a happy man at the end of the day, as i got to know they have launched a New All Day Breakfast Menu now and i have tried out a couple of dishes like the English Breakfast Platter, French Benedict, Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich, Baked Bean's On Toast and to take care of my sweet cravings the Nutella Pancakes and Fluffy Pancakes were there.
Now let me admit that i wasn't expecting this place to have such fantastic Breakfast options. I just loved every dish on point. It had the right balance of flavours and the portions served was equally very satisfactory. The most interesting one for me was the English Breakfast Platter, a full meal stuff that has chicken sausages, chicken ham, mash potatoes, two fried eggs, grilled tomato and baked beans served together.
Enjoying these kind of food is an absolute bliss, i am going back for more really soon, you should definitely check our their All DayBreakfast Menu.

I've been waiting to come here, since forever. It took me straight three years to visit this place. But, after visiting I am just a happy kid. The place is alluring, the decor gives you happy vibes instantly. Not only the decor, bit the food is top notch here. They are best in almost everything, that all I can say. This place is gem, to our city. One can have the soothing conversations with their friends and loved ones. And, there is no time bound.
Coming to the food part, we had -

▶️ Chicken Penne Pasta, With White Sauce.

The chicken tender is so much different than ordinary chicken fries. It was crispy and soothing to another level. (I'll visit here, again for this.) The pasta was mouthwatering and freshly dipped in cheesy sauce. Both the mocktails, were prime. I don't remember, when I last had this amazing mocktails.
Monte Carlo, was not an ordinary dessert. It had vanilla creme topping with inner part filled with chocolate ice cream and butterscotch cashews.
I literally, had such good food after decades. This place, doesn't disappoints you. Also, shout out to the cooperative staffs.
The ambience was really very peaceful. The food was prepared very deliciously, we ordered:- Chicken tender, French bennedict, Sizzling brownie with ice cream, fish & chips and cranberry mocktail.

Today's morning we went to The Country House Cafe for Breakfast. We ordered Mango Mocktail, English Breakfast Platter, Cafe Latte and Hawain Chicken Sandwich. Total bill was Rs.860 including all tax. The ambiance is awesome, very aesthetic, with brick walls and vines and frames. The playlist is quite good, serving to the beautiful ambiance.
Location is good nearby bhawanipur, I visited there during branch time, I found that place to be clean and hygienic . I ordered a veg platter and mojoto I was tasty and the quanti is also very good, people u can visit there. I literally like that silence😃

The Country House Cafe has come up with an all day breakfast menu comprising of a wide variety of delectable delights! I tried out their Eggs Benedict, English Breakfast, Hot Chocolate, Mojito, Pancakes, Exotic Veg Sandwich & a couple of more items which turned out to be extremely delicious!
Definitely Recommended.
It opens at 8 am in the morning! So if you're searching for a place for hearty yet filling breakfast, this is the place to be!
The ambience of this place has a total vintage look . A cozy place to visit for coffee dates and also a warm breakfast with friends and family . It is spacious and the nice big windows just adds up to the feel this place offers

This is located near Elgin near forum mall. This is a very well decorated cafe and the ambience is very nice. The food is also very nice. I tried some of their dishes and liked most of them. The staff is courteous. The chicken tenders are a must try from this place also the brownie.

Only annoying thing is that all items are not available .... Everytime I plan on ordering something it's unavailable so each time I have to order something I don't want to order.
It's a great place with great ambience ....the food is quite affordable and tasty..we took a pizza which was great and the fish with fries was yum too and the desert with brownie and icecream on the top was just fav
This place is must try. Their choco lava cake is one of the best in town.

Visited The Country House yesterday, and the staff was very friendly, even gave suggestions on what can be best for me, and explained the dishes. I ordered for a Smokey BBQ Chicken Sizzler and a thick Oreo Shake. The milkshake was so perfect so thick and one of the best shakes I've had in Kolkata. The Sizzler was nice, very sufficient quantity, with 2 wholesome slices of well cooked chicken.

I was not expecting such good ambiance,but undoubtedly it was good. The cafe latte and Americano were had was good. We ordered The Guilty American pizza which was good but not upto the mark of my expectations… the dessert section here is good and there are lot many delicious to try in menu. This cozy little place is at about 12 to 15 mins walking distance from Rabindra Sadan metro station. We went there just after Christmas and they still had their Christmas decorations up and it was very pretty.
We tried their:

The food was okay in taste and quantity, according to price. Overall a nice experience!

The overall experience was really great. The ambiance was soothing. It's a great place to hangout with friends.We spent almost 4 hours there.
Now coming to the food. The prices of the foods are quite reasonable. The quality of all the foods were great. I liked it. We ordered Ala kiev, Branzino E Peoci, Aglio olio, French toast, spaghetti and vergine mojito and cranberry cocktail in beverage.Also sizzling Brownie with Icecream. We enjoyed each of them, especially the Branzino E Peoci .
One thing I want to say which is completely my opinion. ..... They use regular salted butter that's why the food gets a little more salty.
A beautiful cozy cafe nestled in the heart of the city. The vibes are very down to earth and the decor is minimalist and artistic.
Coming to the food, having not much time as was getting late for a meeting, tried the recommended Eggs Benedict which was nice. To go along got a refreshing lemon drink.
Overall a nice eatery to come, chill, and relax.
The place was so cozy and warm. Nice place to go and chill if you just want to have some good conversations with your closed ones. The bakery items were amazingly tasty and the rest of the foods tastes good as well.
We ordered for butter croissant and Nutella croissant which were very tasty had such an amazing flavour and the biscoff cheesecake was yumm as well. Will visit soon to try out more of their desert items. The staff behaviour was very nice and was very well mannered.

This cafe is one of the hidden gem in Kolkata. I added this cafe to my favorite list. The ambience was cosy simple and soothing specially in morning time. The name 'The Country House' and the ambience and decor are perfectly matched, it feels like old European vibe. The food was delicious specially I love the sizzling brownie with ice cream and choco waffle. I love this cafe🤍

The filling was good and the fish was fresh but I didn't like the coating.
Although the portion size was good compared with the prize.
