This small cosy restaurant is located in Southern Avenue near the Kalighat Metro Station.. This joint is quite known for its seafood dishes.
We had visited this place in the evening.. The inside space is not too big and the tables seemed to be small for my big body 😁

* Stir Fried Squid
The seafood rice was well prepared and was very much tasty. The fried squid was good too, but it felt a bit chewy to me.
We didn't had time to taste the other dishes, but will visit sure someday later 😊

I have been in this restaurant several times. And each time I have ordered thai chili fish. I find that they are the best in preparing this dish. There are other dishes that I love too which includes sanghai chicken, hot garlic squid, mixed sea food fried rice, hunan crab etc etc etc.
The best part of this restaurant is we get awesome dishes in pocket friendly price.
As far as restaurants go, this one is a keeper. Hidden just under the shade of some of the bigger and more suitably placed restaurants in this region they offer a hospitable and cozy environment that adds to the experience.
We had the smoky wok tossed fried rice accompanied with chilli pork. I kid you not when i say the meat was tender and succulent. It literally detached itself with slightest of pressure. And the restaurant went strength from strength when serving the butter garlic squid that packed an umami blast in every bite i took of its crunchy exterior and contrasting interior.

A real hidden gem in Southern Avenue...The place may be a bit small but it has got excellent ambience, very courteous staff and most importantly excellent chinese food....Even during Durga Puja amidst huge crowd the quantity and quality of the food was well maintained.
Today we had - Veg Fried rice, Veg Noodles, Sea food rice, Lemon chicken, Chicken in Oyster sauce and Butter Ginger Garlic Chicken...Each of the item was extra ordinary for its taste...Special mention should be done for LEMON CHICKEN...I am highly recommending this dish for any person visiting over there...Very good place for young buddies to spend time along with nice food at a very reasonable price😊

I had seafood in other places. But not as good as this one. The only drawback of this place is they take a lot of time in delivering. Otherwise it's a lovely place to visit. It's cheap and delicious. And good in quality and quantity. I have visited this place twice and I would love to recommend this place to everyone I know. Staffs are polite and helpful.

As I was craving some seafood, especially squid so I thought of visiting the old favourite, Ecstasea.

The Chilli pork was really good and also because we were famished so we couldn't snap a picture. The pork was at par my taste a bit chewy yet delicate. Goes well with a pint of beer.
The Green seafood rice had good quantity of seafood but the rice was a little bit gluggy but again this is because am very picky about rice. Otherwise it's great.
Butter garlic squid was the star of the evening, the quantity was great for one and the prominent flavours of butter and garlic shone throughout.
Butter Pepper fish was a bit of a let down because there was room for improvement as the fish was cooked well and inspite of being tender was not upto the mark.
Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would continue to visit there for squids and octopus. And the best part all these food don't really put a hole in your pocket!

Visited this place with family. Restaurant is situated at 5 minutes walking distance from Lake Mall Kalighat. Though we pre booked tables from Zomato, restaurant was almost empty while we reached. It is well decorated from outside and inside.
We ordered Butter Garlic Pepper Chicken (8 pieces in a plate), Egg Chicken Rice, Green Seafood Rice, Hong Kong Octopus and Teriyaki Octopus. All the items was good in quality and quantity and served hot.
Staffs and manager are polite and very helpful in terms of choosing the menu.
Overall recommend. Budget restaurant for Seafood lovers.
P.S: They don't charge any seperate GST or Tax. It is included in their menu. So you will pay what you are seeing in the menu.
Have visited this place 3 times before and this time they have expanded their place which is a plus point because they had a space issue. So this place serves awesome sea food including squid,octopus,crab,lobstar. I had tried squid pork and lamb before out of which the squid and the pork are excellent. So this time i trued their thai chilli pork, egg fried rice, butter garlic squid and pan fried octopus.
The pork was dilicious and soft and tender.
The rice was as expected tasty and as per standards
Now coming to the squid,the butter garlic squid is the most famous on their menu and is highly recommended.

1. Attitude of the staff - Although the staff members were extremely well spoken, their actions were really disrespectful. I was on a dinner date with my girlfriend, and as soon as the clock struck 10 pm, two staff members stood behind us with their arms folded, waiting for us to leave. One person even turned off a few lights and pulled down one of the two shutters. The closing time was clearly mentioned to be as 10:30 pm, and we still had 30 mins left. But this display of attitude forced us to finish the food early and leave the restaurant in disgrace.
But still I would recommend this place for it's sea food.

One of the best sea food joints that I've been to..... 5 mins walk from Deshapriya Park.... Easy to find.... Small cozy place..... Minimal yet soothing decor and ambience.....but they've hit the ball out of the park with their food....we ordered the Egg Fried rice (4.5/5) and Schezwan Octopus (5/5)... The amount was adequate for two people..... The fried rice had good amounts of egg in it.... The Octopus was very well cooked with the right amount of spicy.....The staff was friendly and courteous.... The owner himself was present and gave suggestions.....prompt service..... A must visit for all the sea food lovers. We ordered a Honey chilli squid for starters, the preparation was just perfect. The squid was cooked to perfection. The spices were well balanced. Then we ordered a plate of Ecstasea special noodles. The noodles had lamb pork octopus in good amounts and was neither too spicy nor to blunt. The quantity was enough for two. For sides we ordered a butter garlic octopus which is a must try. The dish was excellent. The octopus meat blended so well with the butter garlic gravy. The best thing about this place was the behaviour and service. It was fast enough and they were so courteous and paid real attention to the comfort and needs of all customers. Coming to the budget it is an absolute pocket friendly restaurant. Ambience was ordinary yet pleasant enough.

After a long time I got a taste of some real old Kolkata Chinese which I used to have in the late sixties. The special fried rice was just awesome as soon I got the aroma wafting to my nostrils. The Fish dish was also good but could have been better. The chicken dish was however very tasty.
This place is a hidden gem in the city. They serve excellent chinese and seafood at very reasonable rate. Both quality and quantity deserves a praise. We ordered Cantonese egg chicken fried rice, dry chilli chicken, hot garlic prawn and teriyaki lamb and all the dishes were superb. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the lamb was very tender. The dry chilli chicken is one of the best in the city.I am in love with the place.

This place was in my bucket list for a long period of time. Finally, I got a chance to visit there today. Well, me and my friend were aware about how the manager was from other reviews, but he turned out to be a quite nice person, although a bit stubborn.
Now coming to the food, we ordered veg hakka noodles and honey chilli squid. Both the items were just lip smacking on a very pocket friendly price. The quantity was just apt for two people. The service was also prompt.
I will definitely recommend anyone to visit this place to fulfill their craving for some lovely seafood. :)

Service was good but the owner was very indifferent and reluctant when asked about which chicken side dish would go along with green seafood noodles.
Now coming to the food,
I had honey chilli squid,green seafood hakka noodles and chicken in oyster sauce.
All of them were really delicious and the quantity was more than enough for two people.
Price of every food items in the menu included gst.

They have expanded the area a bit since the last time I visited. It was more or less empty the few times I visited, but the food is satisfying enough.
I've tried their octopus, squid , pork, crab and pan fried chowmein which is okay and Indonesian rice which is good.
The squid in honey chili was very tasty although I'd have liked less batter.

Pork is chewy and feels a little stale.

I would like to give 3.5.. we went there a month bach and ordered pork and shrimp Momo and chilli Octopus.. shrimp Momo was undoubtedly good.. pork one smelled a bit the chutney generally served with Momo was not looking hygienic.. the chilli Octopus was way too spicy the octopus was so over cooked that it lost it's juicyness.. as a sea food restaurant the decor was so simple to be identified.. was of some random dineout restaurants.. over all keeping in mind the shrimp Momos I would not rate it bad

We had Chicken Chowmein(Hakka), Hong Kong Chicken and Honey Chili Pork.. Every item tasted superb..The only drawback the restaurant has is the service..which is very slow during rush hours..Other than that a must visit place for foodies.

Food is really good the price cant be any better. The only problem if you are dining at this place is that there is no washroom or even a hand wash area available, which was also fine but the person asking you to use fork and spoon is something should not be recommended. Would advise take away rather than dining in. One less star for the same. Otherwise not so bad place.
This hotel serves some of the delicious seafood dishes at an affordable price. We ordered yekitori chicken, Indonesian chicken rice, lemon chicken, seafood noodles and butter garlic squid and these dishes were nicely cooked. (Rating given by me is only for food).
Ambience is quite ok, but the attitude of the waiter is so rude and annoying , not at all friendly. I would like to give a (minus 5) rating for such non friendly behaviour and rude attitude.

Been here a couple of times in the past year or two. Esctasea provides an array of delectable sea food dishes that have quantity as well as quality without breaking the bank. The joint has a nice cosy ambience. I usually go for the squid whenever I come over. It was perfect. Then everything changed when the fire nation attacked. The recent visit to the eatery was a bit if a letdown. The squid was overdone and the noodles for the Hakka too. I really hope it was a one time thing. I love this place and will keep revisiting
I was waiting to visit this place since 2017.. finally got the chance.
We reached 10 mins before closing but were able to convince the waiter that we just wanted to order squid and rice. And they agreed.
We ordered Hunan Squid and Egg Fried Rice.
Both of them were prepared on spot and were hot. The squid was fresh and well made. The amount was enough for two.
With a 500 ml Coke the total amount paid by us was just Rs. 395.

This place offers very good chinese cuisines at a very reasonable price.It is situated just the next lane of Xrong place.Nothing special about the decor and ambience but well maintained.We ordered Konjee Crispy Lamb and Crispy Fried Fish.Both the items were equally good.Since every Chinese joint does not offers Lamb in their menu,therefore,it is good that are serving it.The Lamb was well ok but it could have been better.The Crispy Fried Fish was really remarkable.They used Bhetki which I found better in taste compared to Basa.The chilly and the spices were added in the Fish made it even more flavourful.Everything is ok but I think the time of service of food should have been better.Will come back again to taste even more delicious dishes.

It is a cosy and small restora placed in near Lake Kali Bari at southern avenue. As we were near Southern Avenue and searching for a cheap chinese cuisine restaurant, zomato suggested Ecstasea. I had heard about this place a lot of times. We ordered for pan fried chili fish, egg fried rice with hot garlic chicken. Undoubtedly the fish was very good and both the starters and side dish contains 8 pieces. All the items tasted appetizing. Good chinese and sea food is served here with affordable price and warm hospitality. Will be coming again.

So we bring upon a restaurant namely Ecstasea
that will attract the seafood lovers in the town. Well going to this place is very easy, situated at Kalighat address given below.
Now coming to the food they were delicious. The mouthwatering dishes that were served in the table were superb. I personally loved the salmon burger which was the first thing I tried and it was magnificent. Also you can try Chocolate Churros and Smoked Squid Pizza. The service was quick so you do not have to wait much to fill your tummy. Honorary mention sanitization and hygiene are been looked with a great care. All in all it was a good experience.
To sum up I must say that you all must visit here to taste the delicious sea foods which you all love.
Great decor with a nice and cozy atmosphere. The food is equally great. One of the best places to try exotic seafood dishes in the Deshapriya Park/Southern Avenue area. Locality is great and it is very easy to find the restaurant. Moreover, the owner of this place is really polite. Highly recommend their seafood dishes like honey chilli squid and if you wish to stick with non-seafood dishes, I highly recommend dishes Yakiteri Chicken and Roasted Chilli Pork. The price is amazing for the quantity they serve.
Love seafood? Visit this place ! I can't explain how much I love this place. The food is so so good, and comes at affordable rates. Recently, they've reduced the quantity a little, which is okay as per market rates. But I still love this place. I recently tried the Red Seafood Rice which included fish, shrimps and squid. It was spicy and I paired it up with the non spicy, but mildly flavoured Hong Kong Squid. The chilli pork had sliced pork meat, and no fat, tossed with onions and chillies. Ecstasea is a cute little sea food restaurant
The food here is fantastic and very very tasty. And the quality is top notch. Highly recommended this place if you want to try sea food. Also pocket friendly.
This was my very first Visit to ecstasea its located at Southern Avn.
Pricing for 2 is approx 600.
They earlier use to serve Chinese but now they are serving Italian, Mexican & Sea Food, there has been a complete change of menu.
Their ambience is simple yet cosy. The staf was very courteous.
Coming to the food, I had
Smoked octopus pizza which had a very beautiful taste, I am actually a big fan of octopus dishes people who have a special craving for sea food this is the right place for them.
Also had Squid apple pizza which was again very tasty. All Dishes in their menu were very reasonably priced.
I had a Virgin mojito which very soothing there was perfect balance between the sweet and the Mojito flavour.
On the whole this place is a bookmark from my side for pujas.
