Best rezala at much affordable price.
The quality of the food is very good all though not a very famous restaurant.

If you're looking for a place with authentic Awadhi food in Kolkata at decent price...this is the place to be in...
It is located in a lane off eMall in Chandni chowk area...
Must try out is their mutton rezala...served in a white gravy and topped up with ghee and makrana...(a type of corn)...
This restaurant has two floors...ground floor has general seating and the first floor has ac seating...

If you are not aware of this legendary place still staying at Kolkata, where are you at bro? You miss something big. Being a foodie I always prefer good food over good fancy ambiance and sabbir’s is one of them. They are serving some delicious food since long, I mean they are serving from 60’s. Sabbir’s first got its fame for their breakfast menu which serves Tea, Paratha & Rezala. One can never goes wrong with this perfect duo but if you are not willing to have paratha, they got biryani for you with their chicken or mutton delicacies.
I had not experienced their breakfast but I surely tried their few items like kebab & Biryani –
1) Chicken Biryani with Egg (Rs.195/- )
2) Chicken Reshmi Kebab (Rs.180/- )
I will make this review short & crisp and it won’t take your time long. As I already told you guys that their food quality and taste was absolutely top notch but do not expect the fine dining experience. They have non-ac section at ground floor and a half ac section at upstairs. The service over here is also quick and prompt. If you are looking for a great restaurant near chadni chowk area and do visit them once , you won’t regret for sure. This place is located at 3/5, Biplabi Anukai Chandra Street, Chandni Chowk and open from 6AM-11PM. This place is pocket friendly too, costs approx. Rs. 800 for two. Do tried their rezala , biryani, paratha and kebabs. Will share my rezala with paratha experience over here shortly.

If you want to taste the best rezala in Kolkata then sabir's is the place you want to go. The taste of the rezala is superb and yes do try out their sahi tukda it is the best in the world !! Hands down
Absolutely amazing place for rezala be it mutton or chicken. Paired with soft and delicious naan bread. They serve all kinds of scrumptious mughlai dishes and reasonable prices. The ambience is not so luxurious but food is really good here 👍
"Shabir's Hotel" is very famous for its mughlai cuisines. I had visited their restuarant which is located at Chandni Chowk near from e-mall.
• Ambience of this place is very nice with wooden structures. There are two floors of this restaurant. Second floor is Ac and On the second floor have some private space which anyone spend their quality time with family or friends.
• This is spacious and they have seating arrangement of more or less 40 people at once.
• I had tried their Mutton Biriyani, Mutton bhuna and tandoory rooti. Taste was amazing. Mutton was so tender and Biriyani was superb.
• Mutton was so delicious. It was so flavourful .Mutton pieces were so soft and infused with spices.
• Tandoory Rooti was also superb. It was large and tasty.
• Quantity and quality of each item was enough and up to the mark. Service is fast and staffs are courteous and helped us to choose the right item . Price are appropriate according to the quality and quantity of food.
This is a perfect place for foodies and especially if you are broke.😝. No kidding but this place lives up to its hype. It's actually pretty useless describing the food because you need to get there and taste it yourself. The mutton as well as the Chicken rezala are both up to the mark. And if you are lucky enough you'll get to have Shahi Tukda. This is a must visit eateries if you want to happily fill your tummy and keep your pocket happy as well
As we all know sabir is famous for their rezalla so no doubt the rezalla was great. A bit too oily i guess but as we know most mughal dishes are oily. The butter naan was superb. I tried the chicken chap and it was amazing. Taste, quality and quantity all were good. I also tried the mutton qalia which was a bit spicy but good to taste. Staff service is good.
The ambience is okayish and number of attendent is less so these are the two things that prevents me from giving a 5 star. But overall a must visit for all.

Being a north indian food lover, sabir's hotel was in my wishlist to visit. Well.. after visiting there and having foods, I am not so impressed. But I am not so upset also. Ambience was so so. All food items were really so good in taste. Food quality and quantity, both are sufficient. Recommended place from my side. 🙂
The place should be a must try and specially the mutton rezala. The place is a non ac one with an old classy look. The food is too good. Above and beyond expectation. The price is ok and the service is prompt. Definitely a must must try 😎
One of the oldest restaurants in the city. The place wasn't that clean but the food served was good. The biryani had really soft mutton pieces and the quantity was also good. The chicken rezala was also quite good. Overall good food at a good price.
The only drawback was they weren't accepting the discounts as mentioned for the Zomato Gold customers. And the place should've been a bit more cleaner.
This place was in my bucket list for long. Finally we went there for dinner to try their rezala which they famous for. Ordered reshmi kabab, tandoori roti, mutton rezala, mutton chanp, mutton kassa. Reshmi kebab was superb and rezala was also very tasty, specially the gravy. Mutton kassa was delectable too. The pieces of the mutton in the kassa were too tender, loved it. Mutton chanp was average, nothing special. Pricing is also very good.
I tested....
Starter= Chicken Reshmi Kabab
Chicken Tikka Kabab
Main Course= Tandoori Roti
Mutton Sabir's spl Rezala
Mutton Chanp
Sweet= Firni
I became fan of the rezala and chanp. It was awesome. Chicken reshmi kabab was better then tikka kabab. But i faced a bad experience with the Firni. Firni couldn't give me the actual satisfaction
Good quality and tastefull❤❤just loved it
Love this place
This is one of the oldest resturant which serves really tasty chicken tikia which is one of the famous dish here. Also the mutton biriyani tastes so good
In reasonable price ds outlet provides you great food with good hospitality. I tried mutton rezala here which was amazing in taste.
Heard a lot about this place and always wanted to visit. Very well known for the Indian dishes. Went for shopping so decided to visit. It was not very crowded. It has got two sections. We went to the AC section which was upstairs. It has the old Calcuttan charm and still upholding the tradition. It had those little private cabins. We ordered
☑️ Chicken Biriyani - Nice sucullent piece of chicken . The biryani was amazing. It tasted so good, just perfect.
☑️Mutton Biriyani - The mutton was soft and well cooked. The portion was good and taste was very palatable.
☑️ Chicken Bharta - I always had chicken bharta which was served shredded but here 4 boneless pieces were served with a boiled egg cut in half. The gravy was tasty but I think there was dalda which formed a layer after sometime. it complimented the biriyani quite well.
Will visit again to try their very famous Mutton rezala.

Sabir is one of the places i heard a lot and was always eager to visit. it is one of the oldest in chandni chowck and has a unique essense of Mughlai dishes.
we ordered
Mutton Biryani :4★
Too good in taste with a proper flavour of mughals kitchen. Quantity is less, so cant give 5★
Mutton Chap: 4.5★
All will say, Rezala, but ordered Mutton Chap and it was out of the box in terms of taste. the gravy was the main USP with a well cooked piece of chopped Mutton.
Chicken Tikka Kebab: 4★
it was same as the other restros. bit spicy and served with a special chutney
shahi Tukra: 5★
They will just win your heart with this. Many of the restros in kolkata try this dish, but Sabir will beat them by miles.
overall,Nice place to visit with your family.
They Have AC, Non Ac and Cabin style like all the old places of Kolkata.
situated just behind Emall
This place is located in Chandni Chowk one of oldest restaurant of the city.
We ordered 2 special mutton rezala & 8 tandoori roti.
Best Mutton Rezala in the City.
Food Quality 5*/5*
Service & Staff 5*/5*
Price 5*/5* (Pocket Friendly)
Overall great experience 👍👍👍👍👍
Fast service. We ordered butter nan and chicken rezala. Rezala is good. Tandoori chicken is soo juice and taste.
It gives an old Calcutta feel. Loved the food. Very good staff.
This place is located at near hind cinema, Chandni Chowk. Place is divided in to two part. One is AC and non AC. Doesn't matter where you seat. Please listen very carefully they really served world best mutton rezala. Plz try to grab the opportunity. I ensure you it's a heavenly feeling.
I loved their food.
They are using fresh materials to make a food.
Food was really amazing with good quantity.
If you are a true mughlai cuisine lover this is your go to place... I went to this place several times and will continue to go again for their mouth watering mutton rezala... Among very few old Calcutta restro this one still has the cabin sitting area... Yesterday we went there for lunch and we had tandoori roti, mutton kassa and the sabir's special mutton rezala... There's nothing new to say about their food as the muttons were soft, juicey & well cooked... And about pocket pinch? Well only in Kolkata you can find delicacies in affordable prices...
One of Kolkata's well known oldest resturants serving mughlai cuisine at reasonable price and still maintaining its quality. Chap, Rezala and Indian breads are highly recommended.
Would recommend everyone if you are visiting chandi chowk.everytime i visit, try their special mutton rezala and butter nun. Tried biriyani kebabs as well.the signature dish from my point of view is special mutton rezala.
Everything is perfect here!! 😍
Tandoor items, Indian breads and other North Indian dishes served in a casual, low key ambience. Located at a stone throw distance from Chandni Chowk metro station, this eatery is serving for not less than 50 years. Famous for mutton rezala, paratha and masala cha. The menu doesn't end here, if you are not a fan of paratha and rezala then you can also opt for biriyani with other chicken or mutton delicacies.
But from common man to celebrities, all remain a fan of Sabir's rezala. Sabir Ali, a chef himself from Lucknow gave Kolkata something to be really proud of.
And every time I'm around Chandni I always make it a point to drop here because of their special tea.
Sabir's is a well known place to Kolkata folks ! 🤘
It's legendary mutton rezala and firni have been a part of KOLKATA'S culinary history !! ❤
Nice food
Great ambience
Courteous staffs
Everything is perfect.
Will visit again😊
Best place to have mutton rezala and firni...i have been visiting here since my childhood... it's have been my all-time favourite place 😊
Sabir and it's legendary mutton rezala has been a part of Kolkata's culinary history. We have tried both the chicken and mutton rezala, chicken bharta, chicken reshmi kabab, firni, butter tandoori roti and each of them are amazing. Their rezala is one of a kind, a bit sweetish to taste, the rest of the dishes are sumptuous. Not ideal for light-eating, please don't complain about the food being too oily. A bit overpriced that's for sure. It's an old fashioned eatery, so to keep high end expectations is fruitless. Cash payment is the only mode available. The staff are indifferent and decor is irrelevant. Just enjoy the food.
Sabir's is a very well known place to Kolkata folks.

We went here to specifically try their famous Rezala and it did not disappoint. We had tandori rotis & mutton rezala which were amazing. The taste, the flavour and the quality was totally great as per our high expectations and really helped us get a great experience out of our specific lunch plan. The prices are very reasonable too which makes it even better. Highly recommended !!
Have been Sabir a lot of times and had their special chicken rezala. This time tried mutton kalia, it was really spicy and tasty. Must have Mutton Kalia atleast once
Over the years their ambience in the ground-floor has not changed but they also have AC sitting at the first floor. Good to have these places still serving good food.
One of the oldest biryani joints in Kolkata. Ambience and decor are still the same. Chicken biryani was good but a little on the sweeter side. Overall a nice experience.
A very much visited restaurant this is located in busiest street of Kolkata. This place is quite old and they do serve the best rezala in the town but it gets finished off quite soon. Their staffs are old and polite even they've maintained the quality of the dishes they're famous for.
If you want to enjoy the air conditioned sitting arrangement you've to reach this place before 9pm as the upper floor gets closed by 9pm.
Must try:
●Mutton Rezala
●Tandoori Roti
●Mutton Biriyani
●Firni

An authentic restaurant which specially prepares mutton rezala and tandoori rooti. This place is very much famous. We ordered mutton rezala, tandoori rooti and mutton qualia. All were served fast.
Now coming to the test, as you all can see there are
• one piece of mutton in rezala ( price: Rs 170) and
•two pieces of mutton in mutton qualia (price: Rs 120) along with gravy. The aroma and the taste is very unique. It was really tasty and
•the rooti ( price: Rs 12 each) was too soft.
The ambiance was shady but not crowded and the staffs were polite. So overall it was a nice experience. Must try: mutton rezala.

this restaurant is special for its mutton dishes nd mutton rezala with tandoor roti of sabir is a must if u visit chadni chowk
They have got good quality of food . Especially their biryani contains a good amount of spices and it’s too tasty.
Recently I visited Sabir's restaurant with my friends. I loved the food they served. Also, the pace at which they serve food is very commendable. We had their signature laccha paratha and mutton rezala. They tasted absolutely amazing. The malai cha was amazing too. Overall a great experience. 😎
Old is gold, famous for Rezala. For the soft butter nans & mutton rezala which are my all time favourites till now. Items were good to taste and fresh.Really We enjoyed the time and taste. Both AC and Non AC services Available. Only thing is they don't accept cards. Staffs are good and helpful also.

A simple, minimalistic place to satisfy your tastebuds. Sabir's hotel is an age old restaurant with many stories related to it from the pre Independence period of India. The staff is friendly and the kebabs are delicious. A must visit in the heart of Kolkata.
Tasting biryani’s across Kolkata..
We had Mutton Biryani and Chicken bharta..
Location: Sabir Hotel, Chandni Chowk.
Sabir’s is a very old & renowned eatery located in the hustling and bustling Chandni Chowk of Kolkata.
Don’t go for the ambience but definitely go there for the food. The food there is really tasty and delicious. In the mutton biryani the mutton pieces were very succulent and flavourful.
I went to this place on Eid for Biriyani. Ordered Mutton Biriyani and Chicken Bharta. Taste is really good and the mutton is soft n juicy ... Aloo even tasted good... And the aroma quite tpucjed my heart . Now coming to chicken bharta ... They really made it good... The pieces were served right with boiled egg and barista on top. The place looks like an old restaurant from Far East... And the waitors are well behaved and the service were quick enough. Overall good experience and pocket pinch 300 each . 😇

This place was certainly a top priority for me over the past few months, and i finally took a visit, well i ordered one Mutton biriyani, as its been known for its north indian specialities. The biriyani was outstanding, this place is probably one of the best biriyani place in entire Chadni Chowk!!! The service was real good and the staffs did their job well! Would love to visit again.
This was the first restaurant of my life where I went holding my father's hand after watching Russian Circus at Netaji Indoor Statdium. Visited the same place again and tasted Tandoori Roti, Sabir's signature Mutton Rezala, Biriyani, Salad and Firni. I must tell one thing, the stand of Rezala has gone down in last few years. Still, a 4 star for the nostalgia.
"SABIR's HOTEL" Mughlai Cuisine Restaurant in Kolkata's Chandni Chawk area is a delightful stop for authentic Mughlai cuisine enthusiasts. With its dual seating options - one with air conditioning and another without - patrons can choose their preferred ambiance. Additionally, the restaurant offers private cabin-style seating within their air-conditioned section, catering to various dining preferences. The highlight, undoubtedly, is their authentic Mughlai fare. Their menu is extensive, featuring a range of dishes from breakfast options to the main course. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable, striking a commendable balance between quantity and cost. The aroma of their Biryani is a standout feature, and what's intriguing is the absence of "Atar" in their Biryani, offering a unique twist to this classic dish. Among their recommended dishes, the "Mutton Biryani," "Mutton Champ," "Chicken Rezala," "Tandoori Roti," and "Shaahi Tukra" stand out for their taste and quality.Beyond the delectable cuisine, the staff's exceptional behavior adds to the overall dining experience. Their professionalism and courteousness enhance the visit, ensuring a pleasant time for customers. It's worth noting that "SABIR" accepts both cash and card payments, offering convenience to its patrons. For anyone seeking an authentic Mughlai dining experience, "SABIR's HOTEL" is a must-visit destination, serving up a flavorful array of dishes that are sure to tantalize taste buds and leave a lasting impression.
If you want to try authentic mughlai good this is the place to go. Keep in mind this place is not a fancy place to click picture but a place full of nostalgia and authentic food with extremely affordable price. Do try their chap and rezala. They do have a non AC and AC sections and they do have small cabins at as well. A must go for sure.
I ordered their chicken chaap for ₹210 and tandoori roti for ₹15 per piece. Taste was awesome. Chicken chap had a thick oily gravy with the taste of curd in it.. fresh and good to taste. Tandoori roti was fluffy and soft.
You should also must try their chicken or mutton rezala..best in Kolkata.
One of the traditional restaurant of Kolkata, which has been claiming to be the first from where mutton rezala has taken it's place.
Their specialities are mutton rezala and murgh musallam.
Their another best selling is mutton paya.
Mutton paya - ₹200
Tandoori roti - ₹15/piece
Mutton rezala - ₹250
Murgh musallam - ₹450
Firni - ₹60
An age-defying restaurant serving delicious kababs, biriyani and many other mughlai dishes at an average rate. Located in a crowded street of Chandni Market but has a huge seating place. Try the Kababs there for sure.
One of the oldest places in Chandni Chowk, Kolkata serving mouth watering dishes. Among the list, Chicken Chap, Chicken Rezala and Firni deserve special mention. Highly recommended. I visited so many times but the quality of the food never disappointed me.
Heritage legendary moglai restaurant for out of the world tandoori roti and rezala.
A huge fan follower including sir Satyajit Ray.
One of the at least once in a lifetime restaurant experience in Kolkata, West Bengal as well as in India.
Visited Sabir's hotel, bow bazar with my homies..Their signature dish Mutton Rezala is unquestionably one of the best food items l have ever had, anywhere. The best thing about this dish is the balance of taste and aroma, which especially comes out when had with their simple no-frills Tandoori Roti. Another must have at this restaurant is the Firni. Again a culinary masterpiece of balance between taste, texture and aroma...♥️♥️♥️
The food was quite good with respect to the price. The main reason I tried their food was because of their heritage. The atmosphere or the ambience was not anything special.
Old fashioned hotel.
Known for it's cult mutton rezala..
This time I tried chicken special biriyani (2pcs chicken and egg)costed Rs 280
The biriyani was awesome at this price compared to other biriyani places.
