Dominated by an English look ,Big Ban as one the pillar of Kelinworth,is the ancestor of all the growing pub around the city.Established in the year 1947, it's Frequented by many old timers leather sofas, plush upholstery, an island bar with shining brass hither and tither carrying the heritage of London. The hospitality of the old members is something noteworthy.
🥃The finger food here is the best accompaniment of the drink.

I've eschewed from writing about Kenilworth Hotel Kolkata and Goa ( or Kenilworth Hotels as a collective brand ) because of the volumes I wish to share and my incapacity to distil them into a nutshell.

I'm no expert on brands and hospitality , I bear a half muddled educational background and currently hold a weekly show at their brand new avatar of the signature #TheBigBen Kolkata. I can't explain how thrilled, grateful and motivated I feel as the weeks pass like a steady stream.

When I simply look at the colour scheme, ie Turquoise & White ( My birth color by Western and solar zodiac), I feel a positive initiation within my heart and soul.

Going back to roughly 1999, I was in std X precisely , and my mom traced out a Sananda Tilottama prelim ad and showed me. She's a fan gal and an artist who doesn't socialize or drink or smoke or too savvy, not.

I was already a fairly active model on the ramp n maybe these guys thought I should try.
Along with me were many many big names of 2018.
Future judges at another magnum colonial era five star triple deluxe hotel Ball Room Gala Finale were Bipasha Basu, Rani Mukherjee, Simi Garewal and many many more with the Queen Ms #Aparna Sen ruling the roost as the chief and director with her awesome team of ladies and Hazar stalwarts from around the world in tow. If I digress it will be longer.

I still remember , this awkward gawky teen of 16ish wearing a gold wire mesh backless halter fishtail gown and high stilettos at almost 6 feet , cowering in a crowd of utter mediocrity and some sudden sparks of sheer talent at the grand Kenilworth Hotel with giant butterflies in my stomach and a giddy head.

#Sanchita Kushary Bose , #Debarun Mukherjee , Anirudh Chakladar and many many more brilliant stars of the fashion industry .... I was like Alice In Wonderland sitting at the banquets of Kenilworth Hotel ( the main block ).

Mir Afsar Ali & Mr Barry O'BRIEN were anchors , I don't remember who performed for that pageant. Ex winner was Arpita Pal.

Auspicious as it was , I was selected ( though scoffed upon at my dress , arrogant demeanor and wild air ).

My many many more press and fashion stints as a model and party goer at the hotel sparkles fresh in my memory. I won't distract you with the details. We were a wild bunch back then. Shhhhh.

Much later , at 25+ I got hitched and shifted to Goa and lost touch with my city for 6.5 years technically. I was at my helm of career as an emcee with a strong global network of trust.

Cutting to the chase , much later , in 2010, I stumbled upon #KenilworthHotelGoa. Can I add an extra 'aaaah'? This hidden beachfront Gem with the perfect everything on #Majorda, South Goa is a place you should retire/get hitched/holiday/shoot/unwind/pamper/heal at.

If I don't eat , perform , chill, work there for a while , I might die lol.

I was blown over double but the security , exclusive air and the sheer ring of class but somehow kept away. I was a Goan hobo , testing the soil for a prospective career. I spent four peak seasons of life secretly sighing for Kenilworth and rocking with almost every other hotel. But I know I'll go there soon. #Amen.

Anyways cutting straight to the chase.

#Kolkata #KenilworthHotel , and their brand new wing housing The Big Ben , one of the city's premier English Pubs, more banquets, a series of art even the French will be jealous of ( no offence meant, joke alert ) and sheer perfection spilling over to the lawn, patio, walk way and of course the mother hotel. Sometimes I get stuck just staring at things there - a latest sports #BMW, an original collection of M F #Hussain miniatures, the very best of sound, my best ever microphone, Me #Moses Aaron , our sound manager, the food and the impeccable presentation and taste ... How much can I praise ? It will taste like smooth alpine butter with herbs and garlic lol.

By now you can understand I'm an emotional and eccentric artist with utmost regards for class and commitment, because we Indians represent the cream of global hospitality and manners.

Btw we have a rocking Saturday and Friday night scene every week that won't leave you disappointed :)

Ahhh an awesome place to be in... They welcome u in such an awesome manner and the service provided by each and everyone present over there is just so awesome and the starters which we had along with draught beers were just so amazing... I really don't remember the names of the starters but yes it was superb...

Few months ago we attended a conference here for official purpose. Nice place and atmosphere. Food quality is too good.. Just luv it..See you soon.

A 5star hotel located near Maidan Metro (opposite to the Cafe D Freakers)..
I took a coupon from Little App of the Wine and Snack Platter.. I called up here and booked..
Me and my friend visited here on 20th December's evening at about 5.30PM..
The hospitality was really good.. They asked whether we had a booking or not and they really greeted us very well !!
Ambience was really nice and the smile on the staff face made us feel good !!
We took 1 red wine and 1 white wine with the snacks platter..
We were here for about 2hours and had a good time.

Located at the heart of the city, the name gives a posh feel. A retro telephone booth on the right, while entering the Bigben greets you for luxury treatment. I visited the place with my friends in friday evening.  Great place with a sophisticated crowd.  We ordered drinks and couple of starters . Pls note 2pm  to 9pm is happy hours with a 20% off on drinks.  Its a pocket friendly  place to drink. quality and service is great. its just fall short in one department  i.e. quantity of food. Specially veg starters are less in quantity, Dont try cheeze pops its not worthy. My recommendations are  Drought bear ( must), stuffed alu, chili fish and Indian chicken tikka.  Another thing that adds to the whole experience is great DJ who honors your request and plays your fav songs.

One of the most classy & sophisticated resto pub :) have been there yesterday only & found the place good at both food & ambience along with good music. Impressed with the manager Mr Navin who himself attend all guests & ensure absolute customer satisfaction.

The Big Ben is located inside Kenilworth Hotel. It is a great pub to enjoy. Kenilworth hotel is located in Little Russel Street. Head Straight from Astor Hotel towards A.C. market, just a little near to Astor Hotel, there will be a right turn for Little Russel Street. On the right hand side after crossing, you will see Kenilworth Hotel. The best part about the hotel is that all the staffs, stewards and even bartender are courteous and down to earth. I mean hospitality at it’s best can be seen here.

its been so many years that i stumbled upon this place one drunk night with my fnd Baba (V.M) and loved this place even though next morning only thing i remembered was this north eastern chap hustling the pool, sadly  i seldom get time to have nights like that. But once in a while we still try to have the company retreat here, but most of the time due to my travel schedule, i still miss it. But i guess i need one more night of total chaos, one last time before i leave the country, again.

Enjoy the Bollywood at the big Ben.food quality outstanding and service has been excellent.thoroughly enjoyed the ambiencd. Especially the staff sanjay and manager mr navin has been really helpful and hospitable in every aspect.

Yesterday I visit with my friends at big Ben pub in Kenilworth and we enjoyed our evening. This is a best place for hangout and the food and service was excellent. All the staffs and the manger are very friendly and they give wow service.

This place being one of the oldest English pubs in Kolkata has managed to maintain its glorious past. The place and the decor is classy and the staff is very courteous. As we entered they gave us a run on all the best deals available. Everything we ordered was impeccable.

This place is a must visit for it's nostalgic music and grandeur. For young college going adults like myself it can burn a hole in your pocket, but in the end it's worth it.

Big Ben is inside Kenilworth Hotel, next to my office. Have been there on innumerable occasions in the last three years for team parties, IPL screenings and lazy hangouts post work.

The place is a delight! There is a quintessential British feel to the entire place - the booths and the furniture, the upholstery, the bar stools, the woodwork and the pictures on the walls which is refreshing. The music is often very good and cheerful. There is a small dance floor, too, and rarely would you find the place overstuffed with people!

Have tried everything on the menu and everything is equally good. The staff is courteous as expected in a place like this, especially one of the bartenders who seriously knows what he's doing!

Great English pub feel with the warmth and hospitality of India. Amazing staff, great food, excellent selection of scotch, wine, cocktails and liqour! A must visit when in Kolkata!

A beautifully decorated and furnished well stocked bar. Gives a feeling of London. Very comfortable seating and a great place to talk your heart out with friends over drinks.

Great place for a visitor from out of town to have a drink and a quick bite. They usually telecast some sporting events and have a dance floor sometimes with a DJ.

I went there with a complimentary coupon given for the stay at hotel...was not expecting much apart from free daru to get rid of bad throat..but the place was amazing...it has the ambience of the suburb pubs of the west...I asked to bartender to serve me rum with hot water...but he came up with a suggestion for some cocktail made up of brandy and spices...I was not sure how would it taste after seeing cinnamon floating on the alcohol...but it tasted heavenly...the drink came up with complimentary munchies... And they were too good to be free especially the dip...the drink was effective as well and it was able make me feel better...the bartender and host were really nice people..very polite and friendly...a worth visit

The Big Ben is an amazing Pub.. Gives you the english feel...the ambience is perfect not very crowded ( Thats what i love about ) just perfect place to visit with friends over beer.
The music of the place is mind blowing mix of english and hindi songs..The staff are very courteous...suggest you on foods and drinks.
The food is good over here.. The price is charged decent.
The decor of this place is same like the old british pubs..with wooden table and comfortable sofas..
Atleast its one of those places i would love to spend my money and time over here.

I visited today.Food is very good so are liquiors and the platter is also very interesting!! Baileys Irish cream wit crushed ice is a must try, it feels like a bliss for the taste buds!! Best part not so croweded ...u can have the ambience of that of the pub minus the crowd!! cons if u want to use the washroom u will find their staff followin u (ofcourse female staff ) to the washroom and keepin an eye on u...weirdo!! Even if the food and ambience seems good but some how i felt tht from the doorkeeper to the waiter to all staffs does knw nothin abt hospitality!! I think there far better places like splash to hang around than tis one!! rating is solely based on the quality of food and drinks...for hospilatility it gets a big zero!!

Great place for unwinding with or without friends or family

a place to gulp beer and hear a lot of english retro music. on wed, fri, sat n sun it turns into proper discotheque with all the footapping numbers both english n bollywood.
