I was very excited for this place. Was craving sushi for so long so finally went there after doing alot of research. The shrimp tempura was the best thing I had in this place. The ambience is very nice . Price is a little bit high. The sushi and dumplings was quite average. The cocktail was nice. Used the Zomato gold buy 2 get 2 offer . You should totally visit this place for the ambience.

This place offers a good range of Japanese food. They are 'rotation-sushi' type of restaurant, where you see sushi platters displayed on conveyor belts. The seating arrangement is quite limited, but even then the decor and arrangements are nice. We opted for Gohan with miso soup which was good. We ordered cocktails on 2+2 offer, and they were nicely done as well.

Yesterday we had Christmas lunch here. We ordered prawn teppaniyaki and seabass teppaniyaki along with a salmon sushi. The experience was thrilling as they prepare food in front of the customers in live kitchen. The food tastes good but a little bit monotonous. Moreover in the teppaniyaki menu only one item is non vegetarian i e the only the main course, all other items including the rice/ noodles are only with egg. The cost of the food is quite high. The teppaniyaki menu also does not include any complimentary drink. Visit for once is OK. I will not recommend this place for repeated visit.
This place has an awesome ambience, very classy. The staff is also courteous. This place was recommended by a friend and my overall experience of visiting here was great.
So I was a bit of skeptical it first to try something raw as Sushi but oh how I liked it! The one bite (one piece in one go) gave my taste buds something to remember for a long time. I've never been to Japan Or tried Sushi, so I cannot compare it with anything but I really liked what I got.
What we tried : Spicy Salmon Roll, Chichen Teriyaki Roll, Seafood kakiage and Cheese Cake.
Drinks: Classic and Cranberry LIIT and Classic and Strawberry Frozen Margarita

Had Teppanyaki there with family...... the food and service was really good. The only thing which I did not like was the charge for green tea which is generally free in any Sushi resturant but here they charged. The chef who was making it was really good and he made sure that the taste was up to the standard. Few more items like Maki /Tempura can be added in the set menu to give the total feel of the Teppanyaki.....

Love Boat (Non-veg): Sushi at Aajisai is a must try! Not only me, but my parents love sushi too & we were very satisfied, & the presentation is great too! The boat gets delivered by an automated tray set with the table number, smaller plates of sushi get delivered via the conveyor belt. It was a wonderful 1st time experience! Definitely recommended.
Fried Rice with Seafood & Vegetables: Really authentic Japanese rice, I must say! Fried rice is something I've had at almost every Asian restaurant & this is the perfect so far, just like the ones I see on mukbangs!
Chicken Teriyaki: Very distinctly flavoured! Recently I've had a growing love for teriyaki & Aajisai just enhanced it .
Sangria (Red Wine): I could feel that the quality of wine used was really very good. It feels heavenly on the palate!
Japanese Cheesecake: This was complimentary for us because I had made the prior reservation for the anniversary. & it had been so long that i didn't have cheesecake! From the presentation to the blueberry jelly to the soft cheesecake melting in my mouth, it was so awesome! I definitely recommend.

Been looking to experience Japanese cuisine in its glory, and Aajisai didn't disappoint. The ambience is welcoming, and staff really helpful. The conveyor belt food service is one of a kind. My best friend is a great fan of the Japanese cuisine and this place is undoubtedly the best place. The decor is elegant and the coolest thing is the rotating belt and the food just comes to you. My friend ordered rainbow 🍣 and since i am not a Japanese cuisine fan i ordered chicken teriyaki. Both the dishes were delicious. Will definitely suggest this place to all my Japanese cuisine lovers
A great place to have Japanese cuisine in Kolkata. The authentic flavors of Slamon and Tuna, the fresh nori sheets and the nigiri are really giving to a great culinary experience.
Started with Miso soup, its good and tastes real flavors. Chicken Tempura was really crispy and awesome. California Sushi Roll is really tasty and awesome for Vegetarian Sushi lovers. Salmon and Tuna are equally good. Nigiri's are hand-rolled ones and Ika nigiri is good.
Overall a great experience. Looking forward to visit them again soon

This is in Quest Mall on the top floor. For authentic Japanese dishes this place is the answer to all your prayers. The coolest part about the ambience of the restaurant is that there is a moving Belt which will serve the food so you need to take your food from the conveyer belt.
We had spicy salmon roll, and oyako don. The spicy salmon roll was a different type of sushi which was with salmon. It was all very fresh and we had it with the wasabi paste to add to the flavour. The oyako don was made with noodles and egg and chicken. The taste was a bit too bland for our Indian palate. The taste was. Eey specific and different. However if your are into this food then please try this place.

I am a pescatarian at least I wish I was. Japanese cuisine is my top 3 favourite cuisines in the world and I love the taste texture and the variety. The ambience is that of an international joint with Sushi belt going around. However this belt is used here to promote different types of Sushi and not as in the east where you can sit around and pick up your platter to your taste bud. We tried a sushi platter called Love boat. Kaiser Donburi which is a Japanese rice bowl with fresh raw fish was fantastic. It came with salmons, tuna, octopus meat and fish roes. Apart from a few more types such as scallops and squid meat. The Yakitori (Japanese skewered dish) that we had was delicious. The Donburi was served with miso soup. My guests tried out Oyako Don and Tofu too. I am told they were very tasty. The portions were big in size and serving time was fast enough. They have a separate Teppenyaki section but that’s for another day.
Special thanks to Arijit who efficiently guided us through the menu, helped in the selection and served so gracefully. The food was fresh, delicious and authentic Japanese. Must try in vegetarian- Japanese Spring rolls, green tea icecream and wasabi icecream. Overall, a great and surprising treat to the palate in place with good ambience.
Was here for Ashtami dinner. I have been wanting to visit this place for long and i was definitely not disappointed. From the atmosphere to the food everything was perfect. We ordered the seabass set meal which included salad, soup, sauted veggies, sticky rice, seabass( kolktata bhetki) and ice cream. One set meal serves one but can be shared by two if you take an appetizer. We ordered the love boat from pujo special menu which included 3 types of sushis- spicy tuna, spicy salmon and chicken teriyaki (4pieces each). Overall a lovely experience.

Think of authentic Japanese food and this place would definitely top the chart. They have separate seating arrangements, we tried the one which had the live kitchen where the chef prepared each of the dishes in front of us. Yes! That's true. We tried the Salmon Teppanyaki Set which consisted of soup, sauted vegetables, noodles, grilled salmon and ice cream. We tried their hand rolled sushi from the a la carte menu and paired it with red wine. The total amount was 5000/-. They have a unique automatic food delivery system where the food comes out of the kitchen to your table in a tray automatically (you gotta visit the place to actually believe it). The chef was really good and made us try the noodles while cooking and also explained us the cooking procedure. The ambience is pretty and the staff is very polite. This has been by far the best eatery for me at quest mall.

We had lunch at this restaurant yesterday. It was a very pleasant experience. The decor and ambience is beautiful. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The food was very different, our first attempt at a Japanese joint. Thoroughly enjoyed. My son loved the sushi. And I loved the conveyer belt. Of course, it is an expensive restaurant. Food industry and eating out is has come a long way. In a time when almost all members of a family lead a busy life, eating out has become an event when one takes out time for it. Courteous staff, admirable setting and in the case of Aajisai, a bit of theatrics makes your trip to a restaurant worth your while. Apropos it is a sushi restaurant, a cuisine all that more of an art than just about presentation and appealing the senses. A good recommendation for all 🍣 sushi lovers.

I loved the authenticity of the Japanese food here. I wouldn't want the menu to get Indianised just to appease a few customers. The ambience is beautiful and the feeling of being in a modern Japanese restaurant is enhanced by serving the sushis by means of a conveyor belt. A must visit for anyone who would like a taste of Japan right here in our beloved city of Kolkata.

The sushi is good, it is quite refreshing (especially since I have been craving for sushi for a while now). The place seems a little fancy and they have a varied menu too. Look out for the weird machine that delivers your sushi to your table, some might find it funny and most will find it annoying.
Amazing place, amazing decor. They have a moving counter that delivers food! Isn't that amazing. And the food, it was great. My first sushi was from this place and I must say I loved it. The dip was good! Blended quite well with the sushi. The soup was good! Must visit. But a bit expensive but let's all agree that it doesn't matter if the experience is good.

We had gone for the set Teppanayaki lunch. I opted for the chicken variant. The food was fresh, customized to my preferences, and the portions were hearty. One set lunch was enough for two people, with addition of just a starter.
The wasabi ice cream was heavenly. The fried rice, salad and chicken dishes were good. The staff was courteous, and friendly.
I'd love to visit the place again to sample more items from the a-la-carte offerings.

Japanese cuisine remains close to my heart ever since I first tried it. Sushis or Sashimis, Gyozas or Yakitoris, I know them all. What never ceases to amaze me is how even a lavish spread remains surprisingly light on the stomach. It is healthy and you can eat at your heart's content.
Aajisai was there on my bucket list for long, and I was waiting for the perfect day where I will be well rested for a full out dive in into their menu. It didn't turn out that way (pre-made plans seldom do) but the experience nonetheless was nothing short of pure happiness.
Aajisai offers you Zomato Gold coverage on drinks only (2+2). I was sheepishly hoping it would cover the imported beer (Asahi) and the Sakes, but that was not to be. The signature cocktails, Done and Dusted and Flight to Japan were both good. My only issue was that the servings could've been a little bit more generous. The Bunkarku Ginjo Namacho Yume was available amongst the Sakes and it was surprisingly mellow. But then, all rice wines are. 😉
Now to the actual food. We were particularly excited to try the Sashimi Seafood Platter, Sashimi Aajisai Moriawase. And let me tell you, it's worth the hype and the money. They serve you three morsels of seven different kinds of seafood (Tuna/ Salmon/ Mackerel/ Sea Bass/ Scallops with Caviar dressing/ Octopus/ Squid or Crabsticks). Each of them are separately delicious and you can actually make out the difference in consistency and texture. The caviar pops into a whirl of flavors inside your mouth, leaving you in a trance like state. The portions were just so, so fresh and so very agreeable. ❤
The Gyozas and Teriyakis were upto standards. So was the Fried Chicken (Nanban). I couldn't have left without trying the Ramen (flashback: Naruto) and the Cha-su Tonkotsu was bang on flavor and taste. The broth, the lean pork and the soba could not have been more perfect.
Those who are unfamiliar with the cuisine might find yourselves lost, but the menu cards do explain the choices to you very clearly and there are always the attendants to guide you with the recommendations and the table manners. The food conveyer belt brings out the inner child in you as you watch dreamily at the bowls pass by. The way the food gets delivered is a surprise in itself, one which I'll not disclose here. 😊
You might frown at the bill, but this is premium dining after all. The Bento boxes are reasonably priced and that is something to try for later in the future. Another thing that'll bring me back surely is the live Teppenyaki corner where the chef conjures up the magic right in front of you!

We love Japanese food and hence decided to celebrate “Mother’s Day” at Aajisai. Service is prompt . Mr. Santanu was in charge and he was courteous and guided us with the quantities and the food selection. We started off with the Salmon spicy sushi and it was definitely tasty . The sashimi and the prawn teriyaki was fantastic. The good thing about it is that the food is extremely reasonably priced and tasty . The sticky fried rice was made in front of us after the chicken teriyaki. We ended up with desserts and also had great mocktails.
All in all time and money well spent .
Well sushi were pretty amazing and drinks were strong. Person I came with again didn't pay their share so bill was little stiff. Five star service

First of all THANKS to Chef Vivek for putting up a great show besides cooking up the most impeccable food.
The staff they are extremely helpful.. The ambience was one of its kind having two live teppanyaki stations and one full format conveyor belt for the sushi and additional to that they have a robot car which serves the food to the guest table... This will surely give u class leading japanese dining experience.
We ordered the Chicken Teppanyaki Set which consists of Non Veg Japanese Salad with Miso Dressing, Osuimono Soup, Grilled Chicken and we opted for the noodles as we were ordering a Chicken Katsu Don and a choice of dessert.
You will love to see all the raw materials converting into a delicious japanese dish which is appealing as well as appetising in the live Teppanyaki Station.
The Don Buri was also a set which consists of Miso Soup and Japanese Pickles.
Both sets were extremely good and had authentic touch of japanese flavours.
Last we ordered California Maki which was great too.
Overall a perfect experience with Japanese Dining in Kolkata.

Been here about three times so far and have not been disappointed. The Maki rolls and Tuna Nigiri are beautiful. So well presented that you feel like you’re wrecking a piece of art as you dig in but it’s worth it and you do go back for more!

The first thing I would live to recommend is their cheese cake. Exceptional with such good and soft texture and melt in the mouth feel. Made fresh and looks simply mouthwatering. It's the most recommended desert I believe. Also their prawn sushi is simple wonderful. Taste good, looks good, and feels good. Was also able to have a taste of their Chicken Ramen. Don't know why but the taste has gone down a notch from earlier when the place had opened up. Over all was a good experience.

If you want an authentic Japanese food experience you can give this place a try. I just fell in love with their service, the ambience. They deliver your sushi to the table via a conveyor belt and on this conveyor belt you can also see the different types of sushi. The wait staff was also adept at serving food with chopsticks. They have a variety of options in sushi which was to die for.
For main course we had ordered tori karage which was basically crunchy fried chicken and fried rice. The chicken was so soft on the inside and crispy on the outside and almost seemed oil free. For we had ordered the famous sponsor cheesecake. It was soft and fluffy and with a blueberry jam it was just perfection. All in all our experience her was good.

A paradise for the ones craving for a sophisticated Japanese fine dining experience. Located at the 5th floor of Quest mall, Kolkata. This Japanese restaurant serving Japanese food will surely win your heart. This is the only place in town which has an automated sushi conveyor belt. Also, this fine dining restaurant has a teppanyaki counter.
We tried sushi boat(aajisai moriawase) which consist of around 20 sushis.
Chicken teriyaki roll was lipsmacking.
Yaki tori moriawase was upto the mark.
Chicken tonkotsu ramen could have been better

This is a place which I was wanting to try out since a long time! A must go for lovers of Japanese food! Great food and prompt service. Certain dishes may not be as authentic as it should be but worth a try. By far one of the best Japanese joint in Kolkata. We tried the salmon sushi, the katsu rice and sashimi.The quality of fish in the sashimi was great but the cut could have been thinner. The tea served at the end could have been better as it lacked any character and flavor.
Firstly, I think the restaurant does a good job with their food, loved the Spicy Salmon rolls, Tuna & Salmon Sashimi, Chicken Gyoza, Rice with Chicken Katsu rice. Service is very friendly and efficient. Prices are on the higher side. Few dishes have been adapted to local palate. One negative is the view of the back area next to the bar

It was a delightful experience. This is the place where I first tasted salmon! Our order consisted of Chicken karaage, Salmon sashimi, Chicken tonkotsu ramen and of course Cheesecake...All of them was wow except that my partner who likes salmon, felt a very very slight odor in the fish: this is a point where the hotel staff needs to be a bit more cautious. All the other items was simply WOW...and the Cheesecake was the BEST!!
I've been wanting to have ramen ever since I started watching Naruto but never really found ramen anywhere in Kolkata. The ramen here is very good and the cheesecake is amazing and a must try.

I’m simply mindblown by the sushi at Aajisai. You can taste the freshness with every bite, it truly is a culinary delight. I’d personally recommend the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Spicy Salmon Roll. It was truly a delight and I enjoyed every bite down to the last morsel. Their broccoli and chicken gyozas however did not quite live up to my expectations. Nevertheless, if you’re a sushi connoisseur like me, this restaurant is an 11/10 for its sushi. Highly recommend.
In the city of Joy for my daughters equestrian nationals, well, she had been here before I got here & in Asian craving she decided to go to this restaurant & yeah I wasn’t disappointed as the food quality was extremely good, sushi tasted fresh & the conveyor belt along with the hoover tray waiter was an attraction to the kiddo.

Went there to have lunch and boy oh boy, i was amazed by the quality of the foods served. It was much more than my expectations as sometimes Japanese foods are undercooked. These were perfect and just melts in your mouth. I will visit again when I am in India and I recommend to all who loved Japanese. But be aware to spend some bucks as this is a premium restaurant.
I am not a big fan of the Japanese cuisine but this place serves genuinely good food. The service was good and the waiter helped us well to finalise the order.
The place is a tad bit expensive and our bill for 6 adults was 8k. The LIIT was strong and tasty. The sushi, ramen, fried rice, all the items were good.
As a fancy touch, the place has a conveyor belt to deliver food as well. Overall worth a visit irrespective of your cuisine preferences.
Again coming to this place for a Japanese food fix! Sushi and sashimi served here is one of the best in Kolkata. Despite the price, I'm happy to pay for the quality and taste served. The spicy ramen is an all time favorite.
Teppanyaki was served in a confused way. I was given pan fried rice instead of sticky rice. Perhaps that's how they have it here. Yakitori chicken is a must have and so was the grilled squid.
Sashimi is fresh and in a good portion.
Service here is excellent.

Small place but very good food. Sumptuous sushi and Ramen. A but pricey but If you love fish and the acquired taste of authentic cuisine, you'll love it. The sushi on the conveyor belt is quite cute.

I have always been fascinated about imported steak. But at Kolkata it is almost impossible to get the perfect steak like Japanese wagyu / Australian beef.
Look no further as, this place really amazed me with their quality, taste, ambiance.

Probably one of the best places in Kolkata to have a steaming bowl of ramen and spill dark secrets and long sentences while sitting in the off-white booths. The food and drinks did not disappoint. The vegetarian options are pretty good as well. The music could be better. It starts hammering inside our brains after a while. Maybe they should start by playing Japanese music instead. I’ve been there four times and I’ll keep going back there. It’s one of my favourite restaurants in the city.
In mood for some authentic, lip-smacking Japanese treats? Aajisai is the place to be if you are willing to pay a Lil extra. We indulged in three types of Sushi, Japanese Curry and Karage and ended the lunch with a soft, melt-in-the-mouth fluffy cheesecake. Everything was superb. Would definitely visit again!
If you want to go to a Japanese restaurant, you can definitely come here. This restaurant is located in quest mall. The foods is very tasty and the service here is also very good. One of my favorite restaurant. Here you can spend a good time with your family and friends and of course get delicious food. Just Mindblowing Restaurant ❤

Although this place, located in Quest Mall, is on a bit expensive side of the spectrum, once you take the first bite of the delicious foods served here, you'll find it to be worthy. The Sushi, Gyoza, the Salmon set, and even the Fresh Lime Soda here were delicious. If you are an ice-cream person, you should definitely opt for the Coconut ice-cream. All the staff members were very helpful and the service was tremendous. Looking forward to another visit.

First time I tried sushi in India. It's almost as good if not better than other authentic sushi places in US and Canada. The fish was very fresh, sushi grade and the portion were also really good. The ambience was nice, and the servers were helpful and explained the menu very well. Definitely recommend.
The place is good with nice ambience and staffs.
The food is good too with quite a bit of variety and flavors. Sushis could be a tad bit better but nothing to complain about. Dumplings were excellent so was the tempura. Cheesecake could have been tad bigger in size. The cocktails especially the LIIT could be much better.
1st experience are what leaves a mark on you forever, and what a fantastic 1st one. the best one that i found was the belgian pork with sticky rice. that was just amazing. then the ramen with pork was so good too. the pork was so well done and so delicious it just melted in your mouth. another dish that i would have in a heartbeat was the eel, i forgot it's name, but what a dish offf... heavenly. i loved their chopsticks too so light and ergonomic, i wish i could take them with me 😅.
