You could also try its Biryani, We had Chicken Special Biryani, It was really good to its price.. You know ..U cannot compare these to Arsalan or either Shiraz.. But real Deal is.. Value for money...

A small food outlet near Rabindra Sadan Metro Station. But don't go by its size, it serves splendid dishes at nearly half the price of a similar joint. Had ordered a mutton keema tadka and I couldn't get enough of it, it's creamy, subtle, and yes, got enough keema for the price of ₹90/-. Way to go, Saima. Love your food!

Overall Saima is a very famous restaurant chain in Kolkata and maintaining their consistency. As we all know they always manage to provide us very tasty and delicious food within low budget . Interior in this outlet is average though better than than the other outlets. I always have biryani along with non veg preparation as complimentary when ever I visit Saima. The chicken pieces are usually very soft and tasty. Main thing is that this place never disapoints me.
The Saima Restaurant is situated in Elgin Road precisely its near Rabindra Sadan. During this lock down I ordered chicken Tandoori and Mutton Biryani from this restaurant.
The chicken Tandoori of this restaurant is my favorite.
The Mutton Biryani was average.
I ordered chicken Bharta and that was pathetic but still I m giving it a 5star* because the next day I had EGG THALI from this place and God! that was out of this world. Unexpectedly amazing 🖤

Ordered cautiously from this place for the first time for a long time. I have had food at Saima before but not had it delivered. So I just went with Rumali roti and Paneer butter masala. Though I was sceptical, all my doubts went away as I tasted their food. It was damn good! The rumali roti was good in size and did not get hard upon heating (a common problem). The paneer butter masala tasted a bit different than the usual but it was fantastic. Both the items impressed me and I can vouch for the quality of food here. Surely try this place!

This is the place i would recommend you to have a quality food with your #friends or #family or #special ones or @anyone else. They probably provide you privacy with #quality food and #service . But if you are planning to visit here on weekends or festivals i would recommend you to be here with at least one hour earlier coz you may find a huge crowd with confused staffs😅😂. They try their best to serve you but we became so uncooperate when we feel hunger that's why i said so. Otherwise it's one of the best place to have food in #cheap rate(almost cheap than other resturant).

Tried mutton kosha and romali roti from this place. The food was good. The mutton was tender and has the correct blend of spices.
The place is more like dhaba sort of.

So I ordered boneless chicken bharta (130 ruppes), rumali roti (3 for 30), lachha paratha(17 ruppes) from Saima Restaurant - Topsia , Kolkata. One plate of chicken bharta is enough for 2 to 3 people.
1.Rumali rotis and Lachha paratha- Its nice. Just normal rumali rotis you expect. Lachha paratha was damn good. The dough was a little sweet which complimented really well with the chicken bharta. I guess next time I would prefer lachha paratha over rumali roti. Nothing bad .Rating- 10/10
2. Chicken Bharta -Ok so first off let me tell you something the chicken bharta wasn't that much creamy. I mean bharta is meant to be a little sweet ( according to my experience from different restaurants) which I didn't get here. But..... That doesn't mean it was a bad preparation. Maybe it's not that authentic. But it was damn masaladar! It had a lots of masala. And it tested good too. It's not like you are gonna suffer eating it. Just another point I wanna mention, I don't know whether it's just my tongue or not but I found something grainy maybe it was just the dried crushed masala. So the creamy sweet texture you expect from Bharta wasn't there. But it was savoury and masaladar and tasty in it's own way. And as I said complemented pretty well with the lachha paratha. Give it a go! Rating -7/10
3. Packaging- The bharta came in a normal container. No spilling or anything . Lachha paratha came in a nice packaging. But man.... The rumali rotis.... They sent in a paper bag and as u can see again it was torn apart. When you put something hot inside a paper bag it releases moisture causing it to tear. A foil packet would have been preferred always. The order came in a plastic bag, a bag with a biodegradable material would do better.Rating - 6.5/10

This restaurant is located just beside Haldirams.
Here we had taken Biriyani,Hariyali Kabab and Phirni.
The kabab was perfectly cooked and juicy,biriyani was flavourful and it had an egg too which i really prefer.
I personally didnt like the phirni it tasted blunt to me.
If you like eating paratha's do try their Lacha paratha with Chicken or Mutton kasa and a Cold Drink (best combo ever)

Arguably the best place in the area for biryani. I got biryani and it wasn’t too oily unlike some other places. Portion size is good too. Place is a little small but great tasting food.
Saima is a well-known Mughlai food joint at Exide Xing. This has been operational for nearly 3 decades and serves good food.
I have had Chicken Rolls and other items from them a lot of times. During my recent visit, the order was :
•Mutton Tikia
•Rumali Roti
•Biryani
•Egg Kosha
•Salad
The Tikia is a must-try here. The Biryani is decent and goes well with the Egg Gravy. Tou can try Mutton & Chicken gravies too with Biryani. The place is low on pocket. You will be having a good meal under 500 for two any day from this place.
Foods are really affordable and come under cordial spirit. Taste is good enough and worth the penny. Foodies, you can come here with minimum budget of ₹700-800/- for two tables.
I have been visiting this restaurant since 2014 , and always this is a good option when I am at Rabindra Sadan. Food are very tasty and the quantity is also sufficient for a person, i would recommend there chicken roll for sure. Also chicken chap & biryani I loved from this restaurant.
Ambiance are not that great as it is a small restaurant. There is a AC & non AC sitting area but a bit clumsy.
Prices are very pocket friendly , especially for the office guys. You have to spend only ₹150.
Price to performance ratio is too good.

Food was absolutely good in decent price. Atmosphere was very crowded n that's fine but the problem is with the waiters. They were forcing us to pay extra money 💰 🤑 even they didn't gave us 500 rupees change for 300 rupees bill amount. They were constantly telling to give the full 500 as tip..that's so bad 👎 😫
This place is exactly opposite to Sadan . If you are taking a bus get down at Exide more.
The ac restaurant is on the first floor. The space is too small and limited seating place.
But the food is served very very quickly.

Saima restaurant of Exide serves average quality food with respect to the price and quantity is also good. I tried their lachcha paratha and chicken bharta. The taste of chicken bharta was so good that I wanted more of it and the quality of chicken was good too. The problem with the restaurant is that the space is very small but they provide the best quality service and their service is very prompt an apt. Prices are very minimal and you can totally afford it and highly recommend.
This place has my heart...for me this is the best place to have Biriyani...biriyani is awesome..kababs,butter masala every item has its own taste and soo soo delicious....and the behavior of the staff was very nice..i neven seen such a humble person in my life..❤️
