I really liked the food specially chinese and pizza they are great
North Indian cuisine is best here. My family visit this place every now and then. Not so expensive. A totally family place.
The ambience is so so, but food was really nice. People shopping in bara bazzar, and want to have dinner or lunch, this is the best place to go.

Not a place to chill with family at night but in case of food this place is awesome and amazing. No doubt about the quality. Great taste with great decor but not so great vibes.
Just a simple restaurant with good chefs
We had paneer dopyaaza , mushroom masala along with Naan
Paneer was soft and the spices were good
Mushroom was just a beautiful affair to have with Naan .. curry was just amazing
We also had a GIRNAAR SPECIAL FRIED RICE - mixed with some mushrooms and other veggies , a regular fried rice with somw in-house touch to it made the rice really good
Curd rice - heavenly dish to end your hunger

It is a perfect place for family and vegetarians. You can celebrate a birthday here and enjoy yourself as much as you want. This place has great service and it located in a very populated part of kolkata.
Girnaar restaurant is really good restaurant.I just try here schezwan hakka noodles,it's really awesome.Nexttime I really visit here to taste some more dishes

Heard a lot about this place.. Pure veg Jain restaurant but they serve food with onions and garlic. I had so many expectations before my order but this place exceeded my expectations. I tried Kadhayi Paneer, Paneer Tikka, Daal makhani, Butter Naan and Gulab Jamun. Food quality n taste was awesome and also the service. 5 star rating restaurant.. Must try for vegetarians and non vegetarians also. To all the non veg people- veg food can be better than non veg foods.

Amazing ambiance and food is also delightful.The service is also well maintained but i found paneer butter masala to be little rich but the tandoori roti was amazing.

I would suggest that you must order Chinese Chopsy as Starter, Kulcha and butter naan for main course, and girnaar special ice cream for dessert.
That ice cream is the best I have ever had. Although the dishes are a bit expensive but it's totally worth it.
Go for it guys, this one is an awesome restaurant for once in 2 months.

I just loved the food . The taste was yum .. The ambience was even very peaceful .It's a good place to visit with family too . Soothing atmosphere .
This vegeterian restuarant in barabazar is a vegetarian's delight!
We ordered Butter nan,Vegetable Makhanwala and Kadhai Paneer.
Vegetable Makhanwala: This dish was delicious, with lots of butter as the very name suggets. In addition to all the regular vegetables they also used baby corn in this dish, which i liked. It had a tangy spicy taste. Awsome it was! ❤
Kadhai Paneer: This dish lacked salt; this was the reason it lacked taste at first. Otherwise it was well prepared. The paneer pieces were soft!😊
Butter nun was soft and had a good amount of butter! 😊
The prices were moderate with taxes though not reasonable!
Girnaar is alright for one time visit for a non-vegetarian like me.

The food is good here and not that heavy. It will keep you satisfied yet you will feel light! We loved the whole seating arrangements and they can accommodate many people at a go.
We visited here on a thursday afternoon for lunch and was surprised to see it crowded already!
We ordered a Veg Special Thali, Butter milk and Tandoori Roti.
Veg thali had everything in it with 3 varieties of veggies, daal, rotis, pulao etc.
All the veggies in it was delicious and we loved the gulab jamun a lot!
Overall a customer friendly restaurant with good food at affordable prices!
P.S.- Would surely visit again to try out the other cuisines!

Nice ambience with amicable staffs along with pocket friendly quality dishes.
Tried Cheese garlic naan , aloo paratha , malai Kofta , aloo dum and mixed raita.
Paratha and naan were soft, malai Kofta was delicious , aloo dum was spicy and tangy , mixed raita was nice too.
A must visit for veg lovers.

Good place to have pure veg food. We tried North Indian dishes, which were good in taste. Ambience was also good and staffs were also courteous.
If u are a vegetarian dese place is best 4 u. I went here today wid my mom n just loved it.We order paneer tikka kebab which was awesome butter naan and kadhai paneer which was good.The best part of dese restaurant is its service d entire staff was very polite n provided great service. Been here after a long time and its one of its kind in this area where v can get variety of food all together from North India to South Indian, Italian to Chinese.. We had North Indian and everything from Soup, starters, main course and breads, all were delicious.. Service was quick and environment was also nice.. Dis is the 1st option for the Families specially in burabazar area and definitely one must try here..
Many people might not like this place but food is actually very good. VEG AU GRATIN is excellent and must try. Little expensive but worth it as the taste is very good. Good place for shoppers shopping at M G road or people staying the hotel.
Girnar pure veg pure decor pure ambience pure food pure staff. Everything here is so pure and clean that make you feel like king. But 1 problem is there ,if u mke yur order 2nd tme its going to be too long. But all over its evry nice place to visit.
Went for an unplanned dinner and was very much happy with the food and service provided. They provide with a variety of breads along with fingerlicking sabzis. Ambience is also light and warm.
This is a pure vegetarian restaurant which provides a large variety in veg. It is a restaurant of Hotel Himalaya & during my stay in this hotel I regularly enjoy its veg delight. I recommend it's Tandoori Alu with green chutney which is awesome and Yellow Dal Fry, Steam rice, Alu zeera, Mix vegetables, all are so tasty. This restaurant provides large variety of very good south indian foods, Italian pasta and Pizza and much more... Went here for lunch and tried a regular thali.
1. Ambiance is good. This place looks like every other restaurant only that decor was festive. Probably, Christmas and New Year were yet to wear off from this place.
2. The place was decent on cleanliness. I found the need to wipe the spoons and forks once, just in case.
3. The service was good. The staff was hospitable.
4. I tried regular thali and masala chai.
Regular thali was ordinary. The taste was average / good.
Masali chai was good though.
On the expensive side given the area, place and food.
I have been this place almost 5 times.
It's got amazing taste in South Indian and North Indian .. Pure veg restaurant .. Huge list of tasty food .. Surely order - Panner tikka butter masala if you love North Indian.

Went for 3rd time, with my friend. Veg thali and we had makke di roti with sarso di saag. Just awesome. Price, ambience and service good. Veg thali - just a suggestion, have other option of dahi vada as the combo goes too heavy.
I visited yesterday girnaar on my 21st bday at night...it is known for its north indian food but we ordered chinese...hakka noodles n manchurian..and really it was tasty n delicious..ambience is good,service too is good..Good keep it up :)
The restaurant has a very nice ambience and the staff are also efficient..their awadhi biryani was a bit hatke from other places but tasted nice..peas polao and paneer butter masala were delicious..want to try their Chinese next time.
I went there for lunch on a weekday. I ordered for a special thali. 1 nan/masala kulcha, 3 sabjis, 1 dal, 1 dahi vada, 1 polao, papad, salad, achar & a sweet dish, not to forget 1/2 soup. Food was delicious. staff were efficient. overall good experience.
It's a restaurant of Hotel Himalaya. Recommended dishes will be tandoori aloo tikka for snacks/starters, aloo do pyaza, dals are good options for the meal. Though the quality of wheat used for bread should be better.

A good place for good quality food... Being from south India & having sounth indian food over here is like too good. It's just like food from your home, you can just close your eyes and walk in for good food.
This is a small restaurant with no ambience as such but the food is fab ! My dads office is nearby so whenever we want to eat we go there . Totally awesome food ranging from simple north indian to italian pasta ! Yummm
