The food is very good in taste and preparations are really nice but the price is bit high but it's ok with the taste of the food. Me and my friends ordered mixed Fried rice and manchurian chicken. The location and the ambience is also much friendly.

The ambience of the restaurant is quite good. I went there with my friends. The location of the restaurant is very easy to find. We ordered for mixed noodles and sweet and sour chicken. The quality and taste of the food was amazing and delicious to taste. Though the price was a bit high but the taste of the food made it balance.

The ambience is absolutely amazing, the staff is very courteous and the food is so fresh & delicious.The menu is extensive and very pocket-friendly as well.This is definitely my new favourite hang-out place in the New Market area.It is definitely a must visit place for me and my friends and family.
This place is located in New market area, offering a large number of Chinese delicacies. The fried rice was awesome, perfectly specied and quality was perfect. The chili chiken was not so spicy,which will surely tickle your taste buds.

We alws went to new markt but never saw this place before.. Suddenly saw it and thought of entering... I was amazed to see the beauty of the ambience, i thought i was n some cafe of Goa! We ordered alu paratha, chicken bharta, dal makhani, rice and alu posto... Everything was too good and was served very fast... We had chicken biriyani for the 2nd time , dry chilli chicken , veg fried rice, paneer butter masala.. All were awesome
I tried there chicken pizza and chicken sandwich. Both tasted good and the ambience was nice. Will try other items soon.

Inspired by the group Foodzpah in fb, yesterday i visited Esplanade and tried Ruchika Restaurant...Ordered Hyderabadi biriyani and paneer butter masala... and believe me this made my day ♥️♥️♥️😍...this restaurant is underrated and serves great to the customer...The Ambiance is simple, sweet amd beautiful all at the same time. Everything was just awesome...WHAT A TREAT 😍♥️😋

A family restaurant🍴 in the heart of Esplanade near Shreeram Arcade just opposite to Dominos.... I went there in the evening time and found the place crowdy....The ambience was reddish and so many wall frames were hanging with different food quotations and pictures of popular singers.... Seating arrangements were also well mannered.... The coolest thing was the uniform of staffs.... They all were wearing a beach themed shirt and in my view it was something cool about that place.... Staffs were attentive also... I ordered veg hakka noodles, French fries🍟lassi and a juice... Noodles were light and yumm (exactly what I wanted)... French fries were also crispy and enough in quantity.... Prices of food were also reasonable as per the quality and quantity of the food... And at the end I got a warm smile from a lady (May be the owner)
If you want to try something yumm and pocket friendly food... Then "Ruchika" Is on of the best option. ❤
This restaurant on the new market area is very unique. The seats are way too designed and somewhat feels awkward while seating. Nevertheless the food was very tasty but the quantity was not sufficient for the price being paid. We tried the veg noodles, veg fried rice and chilli chicken with cold drinks to accompany the dish.
Went for a round in new market area. Though went into this restaurent quite a few times but this time the internal decoration was new to me and it was very good and pleasant. The food quality is very good and the quantity is a bit low comparing the prices. The service was good. The stuffs are quite polite and helpful. The sitting place is moderate in size. Over all experience is very good indeed.

Beautifully decorated interiors 😍 just loved it, with wonderful pictures hung on the wall, alluring art and captioned pictures. Little expensive but got a wide variety of dishes and combos. Desserts are worth trying.

Food is good actually its better then my expectation but the waiters are too much concerns about the optimum utilisation of the seating arrangements. You cant offend customers while doing that. Needs to improve that.

The place is quite good. This was the first place in the city that I had food in. The ambience is very good. I ordered for Hyderabadi chicken biryani and lassi. The taste of the biryani was good and the presentation of the food was also good. The chicken pieces was the only thing that I didnt liked. The pieces should have been little big.I was offered 8 small pieces which I guess was wrong in case of the item served. The overall experience was good. Biryani should always have the usual big piece.

Been there with my friends a zillion times. A cozy place with right amount of pocket pinch. Especially with their recent renovation,its instagram friendly.the food is apt to its price and the staff are though always way to busy but are warm.

Ruchika has undergone a makeover. It was an orange dusk, as we entered this place the splash of bright colours at the first would take you to the beach of Goa. Small shack by the beach, Men in their Hawaiian outfit serving the food and chirstmas carol to sooth the ear as it was christmas time. We ordered Chhole bhature, Garlic Bread and lassi. The food was good and the staffs were courteous. The young lady Manager was extremely good as she came to our table and asked to provide honest feedback.
I've visited here several times. Ruchika Restaurant is located in the opposite direction of New Market. It's air-conditioned, and love the ambience. For food's part, Soup was good; and their Momo is a must-try, so are the beverages. I always have Lassi whenever I visit there. Tutti-Frutti and Choco Brownie Sundae are tasty as well. However, the noodles are not worthy of attaining that high price. Didn't find them to be that tasty, especially Gravy Noodles. Allover, definitely a good place to have a meal on.

This place is situated near esplanade kfc. I really love their decoration and the stuffs are wearing some cool dresses. Coming to the food, we just tried hakka Noddles,sweet n sour chicken and kulfi. Everything was good. The prices are very reasonable and the way they decorated their restro is also very commendable.Though this time I tried some safe options but next time I will surely try some more different types of food and then I will able to write a brief review about this place.

Ruchika is located just at the opposite of city mart in new market.
It is clean and hygienic among the rest out there. The food is also superb. The quantity provided is sufficient for one person and the quality is home like and super good. The paneer masala that they provide is really tasty. I am a big fan of chicken and trust me ruchika also makes wonderful chicken chilli and mixed noddles. It is a place where you can have good food with lots of savings.

In all over kolkata tour the only place where am totally satisfied with their food quality and all over service was "RUCHIKA RESTAURANT". We had 2roty, plain rice, mix veg mushroom curry and panner Manchurian all are just superb very similar to homemade foods. They already served pickel, small onions, sauces, chutney etc. Placed at a proper place so as you can have a proper meal after a shopping at "NEW MARKET". Interior was just amazing.
This is a pocket friendly restaurant and it really won't create a hole in your pocket after you have shopped dozens! The interior has a comfortable and soothing effect, with nice lighting.
Nice place for a casual snack or dinner. The food is tasty and the rates are reasonable. Quantity wise the dishes are also good. The gravy noodles was really very good. We also had mixed fried rice and dry chilli chicken. Both the dishes were tasty...the fried rice had abundant chicken and prawns....the chilli chicken pieces were a little too small but was delicious. For dessert we had kulfi... I didn't like it...the flavour was a bit off and I know you need to put a pinch of salt in the kulfi mix, but it had salt more than needed which practically made the kulfi salty. The staff were courteous. Overall, a good experience.

Nice outlet located on the heart of new market. Interior is very interestingly decorated. Food quality is good but quantity less. 1plate not enough for 2 persons.
Located in the lane to Sreeram market. Very beautifully decorated. You will get a splash of colour to your eyes on entering. It has two areas and both are a bit differently decorated. It would give you a feel small little shacks by the beach.
We ordered Mixed noodles, Prawn noodles and chilly fish. The waiters were dressed in blue hawaaian floral shirts which looked cool. The food was served in 15mins which was commendable. The noodles and the fish tasted really good. The quantity was just enough. There was good amount of chicken and prawn in the noodles. The chilly fish had 8 medium size pieces.
We ordered lassi, orange juice and mausambi juice as coolers which were also nice. This cafe is a definite visit as it serves delicious food at reasonable prices.
I went to this place before as well as after the renovation...The place has got well furnished and the service has improved but the quantity of food has decreased to a considerable rate.

My recent holiday in Kolkata was high- lighted by this Ruchika Restaurant outside New Market near Shreeram Market.
My American friends & I were famished after shopping at Chamba Lama & having mehndi at Shreeram market.
We walked into Ruchika to find the ambiance so creative as for the retro music took me down memory lane! I was singing along!
Then we ordered prawns, momos & chicken chowmein- the food was so tasty & authentic.
The service was personalised. The young, pretty Lady owner Ms Rachel - a very warm & charming person was attentive to our needs - came & interacted with us. We three had a great afternoon!
I promised Rachel I’d come back- which I did THRICE with different friends each time. Every time my experience was better as the staff, to knew , I just loved to dine at Ruchika.
Once I missed Rachel & met her very friendly father Peter- we got talking & he mentioned his line of business was fashion for ladies just next door at Shreeram market- & a sure SHOWSTOPPER! An apt name- hence forth, after lunches I strode off to SHOWSTOPPER & shopped a new wardrobe for myself! Why not even if I am a Senior all silver!
As soon as I can I will return to “The City of Joy” go back to my favourite den!

Amazing change of decor. Hostess was good. The way they've changed is appreciated. Good quality and quantity of food as usual. One of my favorite places to visit in the area. Vegetable Fried rice and Chilli chicken in the picture. Aloo paratha is a favourite too! Keep up the spirit.
Went there with 2 friends for dinner on 25th December, had to wait for few minutes in the queue. Ambience is really cool, waiters are dressed in beach side t -shirts. All the items we ordered were quiet tasty. Initially the behavior of staffs were quiet impressive. We ordered Veg and mixed hakka noodles and dry chilli chicken. Prices are reasonable. As one of the waiters came with the bill he asked for tips directly, which according to me is not a good gesture,still we felt It's Christmas Day so he is telling,so we gave some amount,if he would have not asked then also we already decided to give some tips. As soon as he got the money he simply threw the bill on our table and left the place. We are sitting right in front of you how can you simply throw the bill like that. Only for this reason I cut 1 marks.

Ah, I love the food here. I have been eating at Ruchika for a while now and the restaurant is a welcome break from the usual fare that is served at New Market.
It is a perfect place to visit for large groups and families as the restaurant serves different cuisines (Chinese, Indian, etc) and can cater to people with different tastes.
It seems that the restaurant was renovated recently which has definitely added to the comfort level.
I really like the new decor, it is both a little quirky and cosy at the same time.
I would highly recommend the Pan fried momos and the dry chilli chicken.
The service was prompt and the staff polite.

I had last visited this place when i was a teenager but growing up to be a fussy adult mostly attracted to the ambiance and staff service of a place i had left visiting this place because both of the two mentioned characteristic of this place had been obnoxious. However, after being forced by my family to accompany them there, the day after christmas, the visit turned out to be a surprisingly awesome experience. The staff service was rapid and friendly. The food was great and nicely served. They didnot make us wait for ages to receive our order like they used to do before. The food prices were mostly the same which was reasonable according to the quantity. And last but not the least, coming to the ambiance, i would suggest you to carry your best cameras or phones with the best camera quality because the ambiance is so cutely decorated and pulls off that cafe vibe so well that you just cant get enough of the pictures you click. All in all it was a delightful experience and a must visit for the foodies who are looking for a continental food within a reasonable price.

This restora is associated with lots of my childhood days. Whether it was a pujo shopping or any window shopping at esplanade, I have went there both with my family and friends. Right now, this restora renovated the whole and came into a new good quirky design. I went there today, after being exhausted by shopping to grab some quick luncheon. We ordered for egg fried rice, sweet n sour chicken & tutti fruity. The quality and quantity of food were great but the sweet n sour chicken could be better. Beautifully decorated restora and some good old staffs, combination of a nice food package with neither a whole in the pocket. Highly recommended.

Ruchika, New Market located just beside the lane of Shreeram Market is a newly opened restaurant comprising Chinese, Indian, momos, south indian and refreshments. We ordered veg 🥦🥕🌽fried rice and paneer butter masala and aloo dum for lunch that was excellent an really yummy. Lastly masala coca cola was the best part it tasted so good that we ordered once more. Costing is average and affordable. Rich ambient one for quick snacking and the other a family restro inside. Clean and hygienic environment. Overall an excellent place to dine in after hectic shopping.

3. Price was moderate, so you will not feel expensive.

The owner, a surprisingly young girl, moves around continuously and keeps a keen eye to the slightest need of any client. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Last on 5th April 2023 i've visited..
Had the Indian chicken thali..contained 2 paratha, salad, 1 pc chicken curry, papad and cold drink (can choose ice cream instead of cold drink).
With tax its rs 360..taste is good..
But post lock down the variety is less there and price is bit high if go Alone..
They had real good pocket friendly menu before which is no more..
Steamed momo is still there which is one of my Favourite..
Truty Fruity ice cream is a must try..
Coolfie is no more..it was amazing..
If i go alone cause of the high price with no variety I avoid the place else if Going with family and friends..then it is one of the best place to eat..

All food items are on the expensive side, if you're stuffed with money in your pocket then go for this restaurant, had only a tart which tasted nice 👍 and the price for it was ₹30.
I visited this place while i was up for some shopping in the new market area and was up for a shock because the place is so amazing and fully upgraded and the ambiance is so beautiful. Loved this place and the food was also very delicious and staff was also very well behaved and the price is also very reasonable. People visiting new market should definitely visit this place and have an amazing time.
