The thing which strikes most about Hondo's, is not only are the food selection great, but the prices and quantity are mind blowing.
Till now, I have ordered from Hondo's over 15 times, but still have never been to the restaurant in person. There are highs and lows of my experience with them, some of them I'll highlight
7th Feb 17 - First order. Pork Chops and Hen in the Blanket. Absolutely stunning. Succulent pork chops, with absolutely juicy fat content, and the hen in the blanket was very good too. The sausages were nicely coated with a light oily layer with cheese and the potato was delicious. Totally 5/5 experience.
Over the next few order, I've tried multiple items including Pork Ribs, Jacket Potato etc.
Sometime around late April 17 - I ordered Pork Chops (x2), Quarter Chicken, Hogged Chicken. by far the most disappointing order. The chops were really overdone and plastic-y, the bacon in the hogged chicken was too hard, and there was a queer smell from the quarter chicken. This was the first time I was introducing Hondo's to my parents, and it was just sad.
There has been 3-4 orders between this period, most of them were good, but on another occasion, I got Pork Ribs instead of the ordered Pork Chops, no big deal.
22nd May 2017 - Ordered the original hamburger with cheese and beef tenderloin steak, both for the first time. Oh god, the burger is just heavenly, has to be one of the best burgers I have had. Perfectly crispy patty on the outside, soft and fall apart insides, the sauce applied goes really well. The beef steak was pretty good, but somehow, the mashed potatoes provided surprised me. Surprisingly buttery and fluffy. Again a 5/5 experience.
25th May 2017 - Hunger strikes early morning. I wanted a burger, but it was missing from the order menu in Zomato, so I got a Non Veg Breakfast Platter. Perfectly cooked bacon, excellent eggs and crunchy hash browns. The onions were a little too peppery, but overall again a 5/5 experience.
This is just a small preview of my experience with Hondo's. All of them has been on delivery, so I don't know about their decor and hospitality as such.
I was curious to visit this culinary destination for a long time. Just happened to pamper my taste buds here after along aimless voyage. It was a busy affair at Hondo's that day with preparations for display of new menu and the gentleman at the far end corner of the restaurant, passionately coordinating everything.
Once, you step inside, the meticulously done amazing decor and the carefree ambience will take you to a multi culinary land!
Those cocktail sausages were so so so very delicious and mouthwatering.
I would just request the owners to make the seating arrangement in full operation only when it is spacious enough. Otherwise, the tiny space with the kitchen close and people sitting very close to each other might lead to an unfortunate incident.
A very cozy place to hang around with friends and loved ones. 24*7 hours open is a classic heart winner, definitely something like a life saver deal. A place that must be explored by food lovers and conti-lovers.
The ambience is comfortable and friendly, with coloured lights and music. If you are looking for a quality time with someone close and good food...You must reach Hondo's... just anytime !

I visited Honda's today afternoon and I absolutely loved my experience there. Its not just the memories of delicious food that you will keep with you but its the lovely hospitality thats remains engraved in your heart.
The restaurant has a 8-10 seater arrangement with a beautiful decor and quirky drawings on the walls. Though we had to wait for 20-25mins for a place, it was worth the wait.
We had ordered Pig in the pocket as starter and masala cola and sweet lime soda. The dish was very appetising. Now coming to the main course we ordered two tenderloin steak-one with brown sauce and another with pepper mushroom sauce. Both were cooked medium rare and served with mash and boiled vegetables and poached egg. This is the best steak I had in Kolkata. Both of them were cooked perfectly and the sauce had great flavours.
Further, I had informed them that its my friends birthday just as I entered. They had arranged for a molten lava cake and written happy birthday with chocolate sauce.They even played birthday songs and clicked photos for us. It was a overwhelming experience.They even gave us a printed version of our photo which I felt was really a sweet gesture.
Moreover, I also packed cheesy potato jacket with mushroom and corn for my parents and they absolutely loved the innovative dish.
In short, Honda's is a small restaurant with a really big heart �
I will definitely revisit again!!
P.S. - They are promoting the habbit of hand written letters that are dying nowadays and gave us a postcard each and we got a chance to sent these post card to our friends living outside Kolkata.
We are people from the 'dog world' and our hours are ungodly! To find a decent place which resonates with our timings is a relief!
Lovely food,smiling guy who catered to us(my cousin and me) and a cute ambience. We went at after 1am on saturday(technically sunday).
I do wish the portions are increased slightly,and also some new offers for regular clients will be a huge turn on for us to return back to the place with our children. Otherwise also we do intend to revisit when hunger calls.

Specially the behaviour of all stuffs n specially the owners behaviour is so good that i will love to visit here more n more... Thats called the hospitality/hotel management.. Everyone else every owner stuffs of every restura or pub or etc...should learn from hondos owner!!�
Was unaware about Hondo's birthday today. Also it was my first time. Really enjoyed the ambience and the food and the lovely souvenirs we recieved. Would definitely visit again. By the way food was awesome. �
If i want to have best beef / pork steak.. always have a tender loin steak 🥩 from hondos. Being a Bengali it's lobh ❤️❤️❤️..

The place has been suggested by my brother. This was the first time when I visited Hondo's. The first thing that got me interested was the unique snail-mail system they had going on back then. The second thing, no doubt was the equally unique menu. Me and my friend loved the food and the ambience as much as the service and the sweet moments captured.
My recent visit was this September and we were equally delighted by the service and the food (if not more)
I've been a regular at Hondo's ever since it opened, ordering in when I couldn't fine in. What I love about the place is the focus on getting the food right, and eagerness to put the customer first.

This is indeed well deserved. Hondo's... Hats off to you. Had burgers. Names were interesting. I opted for a Thor and my friends chose to settle for some Wolverines. Those bad boys really lived upto their names. All the burgers were juicy. Buns were fresh, meat was juicy, flavors were top notch and most importantly, it was heart filling. A big thumbs up for the pasta as well. Sauce was creamy and chicken was abundant as well. Loved the way your staffs entertained us. One of them even came up and volunteered to click a pic when we were struggling to fit in a single frame for a selfie. Really admired that. It truly was an awesome experience. LOVED the food. Keep it up.

Space is less but u will completely forgive and forget that because the food tastes awesome! Although i felt the price for few dishes are high in comparison to the portion they offer. One of the good things amongst many is that they click pictures of the customers with permission and then stick it to their wall where they have their other pictures of customers. This shows how important we are to them, a nice gesture. We also had white sauce pasta and it was exceptionally good.
I really love the food from Hondo's. It has such nice flavour and taste. I particularly love the meat breakfast platters- it really fills you up for the whole day. Literally filled up my stomach that I skipped lunch and was feeling quite full till dinner time.
The only downside is the prices. The prices are a bit high. The food is worth it, but occasionally. Apart from the prices, it's a great place to eat in.
Had heard a lot about Hondos and this was my first visit. It was smal cozy outlet but im impressed.

Absolutely amazing food by Hondo's delivered to me past midnight. I am a big fan of their white sauce chicken pasta, so I keep on ordering this many times. Everytime this dish wows me. Taste, quantity, quality is totally amazing and leaves you wanting more. Wish this place (run by a mutual friend) all the best and hope they expand soon. Highly recommended!

This is one of the best place for having some good quality pork and beef dishes in the City... There very innovative and never fails to impress you... The place is open 24x7... Sitting is limited here... So if you get any one of them you may consider yourself lucky... We luckily got our seat and ordered for sum of their masterpieces... Don't remember the name... But yes... We had one of their signature burger, Pork Chop and a Pork Starter... Along with one Mango Milkshake and Masala Clod Drinks... I must say the quantity there are serving is is very commendable... The taste of some of the dishes and not that satisfactory... But some of them adjust outstanding... The major drawback of this place is there kitchen service... It's too slow... Apart from this the place is very good to satisfy your cravings without making a hole on your pocket... I must recommend this place to all the foodies of the city...

I have eaten their wolverine burger, hogged chicks & pork ribs as of now and each and every item is just outstanding!! So delicious. Had ordered meaty jacket potatoes,po noodles,chilly chicken and a wolverine burger.Chilly chicken was not up to the mark ,it tasted like chicken 65 and had a synthetic taste.burger was good and quite big ,it had one patty,bacon,lettuce and tomatoes and it was drenched in amazing Cajun sauce.Po noodles was extremely good and the meat in it was cooked very well and it was succulent.Meaty jacket potatoes were amazing and meat and potatoes mixture was well done .Only disappointment was the chilly chicken.Hope to order soon
I ordered a chicken Roxette Burger from them. They did give French fries with it. The burger was fresh, soft, juicy, saucy n amazingly tasty. I'm definitely gonna order again.

Love burgers? Love avengers? The answer is visit Hondo's. You can have Thor and Hulk in your burgers! Confused? Well not going to reveal much just visit this place as it is a burger lover's delight. Other dishes are equally good though but after having the burger you will not have the appetite to go for anything else. Cheers to the team!
The most tansatiest American burgers, n not only burgers everything on the menu is awesome. Plus the service and the post box and the drawings,, etc everything is great. I just feel like being there every time. Tough they dont accept any code coupons or dont deliver if the amount is less than 300 rs. It value for money in terms of taste, quality service n every thing else.

So this was planned visit from my side after a wave of positive reviews I had from my friends. I wanted to taste the food before I try their Hulk challenge soon, as I felt to go for it, I needed to like the taste. So I ordered their Hellboy burger with a beef patty and they didn't disappoint. The wholesome sandwich tasted pretty good. Only complain I had was that the patty was a bit overcooked. I personally prefer my steaks and burgers to be medium. However, the combination with the pickles, veggies and thier secret sauce, which I felt was tabasco based, tasted pretty good together. What this shows is, the belief that I have always had, that the most important thing about a restaurant is its food. Hondo's might not catch your eyes passing by, has a cramped space but makes up for everything with good food. Going back for the challenge soon

If you are south kolkata dweller I'm pretty sure you already know about this place. I have been to this place innumerable times as it is very close to my home.
Moreover according to me this place serves one of the best continental dishes in Kolkata.
Their burger and steaks are to die for.
The main usp of this place is that it is open 24x7, so whenever you craving for some meat just drop in here.
Few days back I settled here for -
•Meaty Magic Sandwich: it is perfect for meat lovers and we ordered the pork lean ham variant. It was simple yet nice.
•Roasted Chicken: a quarter size chicken grilled to perfection and dunked in bbq sauce was served alongside sauteed veggies and mashed potatoes.
•Hellboy Burger: one of my favorite burger of this joint. Juicy pork patty seasoned with cajun spices and with Hondo's hell sauce it is topped with onion rings to add crispyness. Every bite on this burger oozes out flavour.
Pocket Pinch: 800 INR for two ( approx.)
Location: Near Lord's more in Prince Anwar Shah Road.
If you haven't yet visited this place do give it a try and choose wisely from the menu which suits your tastebuds.
Till then meat isn't murder, it's delicious!!
P.S.: You have to make your hand and face dirty in order to eat their burgers.
A little place on Prince Anwar Shah Road with amazing food and a huge list of items to chose from..... the best way someone can explain Hondo's, a paradise for Continental Food Lovers.
Each and every item on the menu is on budget this place is a cool hangout spot for college goers. They do not compromise on taste as well as quantity.
I did order for a tenderloin steak, it's was all good with lovely sauce with mushroom and I really enjoy the food, but the thing is that it was a bit hard to cut from the steak knife 🔪 (might be knife was not that perfection as to cut that meat) .
Will surely go again.. N ya friends please must try thier food! It's yummy 😋
If you're craving for burgers, Hondo's is the place to be. It's got everything you want- sausages, bacon, delicious patty, grilled veggies and even tiger prawns. They put together a mean burger, and not having one wouldn't do justice to you visit at this place.
The pork chops are also better than what most restaurants in the city offer.
The Pork Cocktail Sausages were another show stealer, and anyone who is up for spicy food should give it a go.
The only letdowns for me were the Chicken Hawaiian Salad and the Nutella Crepe.
The former because it seemed more like just chicken marinated in mayonnaise rather than a salad. And the latter because I was really looking forward to it and it wasn't available.
However, it's definitely worth a visit!
I go for tutions near prince anwar shah road but never thought of trying out this place...but yesterday I was determined to try this place out and order the chicken pasta in red sauce...the taste was excellent with cozy ambience...well seating arrangements and the staffs behaviour were very polite... overall had a great experience out here and will again visit soon ❤️

I longed a lot for going to this place so finally here it is visited this place a few days back and I must say it was an wonderful experience I really had to travel for 1 and 1/2 half to reach this place but it was worth it. Coming to food they have the best burgers...so we ordered for the ham burger and it was just perfect the burger party was so soft that it melted in our mouth. Then we had the jacket potatoes which was another of those cheesy dishes which we liked we also ordered for pork Ribs and beef steak. If you have a sweetheart tooth then you can go for the orange pork Ribs( I dont remember the exact name) or you can go for the normal one. Now coming to the steakso this was the one which we did not like at all the meat was not soft and ot was not chewable. So o erall it was a great experience and loves the Polaroid thing. Will definitely be visiting this place again just for the amazing burgers.....
We ordered one roxette fr 250 n one veg pasta in white sauce fr 250.They didn't serve the pasta just with yummy, tasty,fresh veggies but also with a good quantity. Chicken patty of the burger was really thick.Love its cosy ambience, staffs are very friendly and it's open for 24/7. If you are planning for some evening snacks or wants to dine out you should try it once n you'll love it.

This cute Little 24x7 shack located near South City is the place where you'd want to go for a quick snack. This place is filled with graffiti and those cute dreamcatchers hanging will warm you up... And while you are there you'll go back to the time with a little Polaroid pic by them. And well they give one to you and pin one on their wall..🤗
Now I'll Directly jump on to the food. We ordered Chicken Poppers with coriander mayonnaise, meaty jacket potatoes, Classic Hamburger, Pork Ribs and Tenderloin Steak.. the portions were HUGE.
Coming to the taste.. the chicken poppers were okay.. they were soft and fluffy but they don't melt in the mouth... The coriander mayo is something I relished more..
Next up is Meaty Potato Jacket.. they give you the option of choice of meat. We choose pork ham. You have the option of bacon, shredded chicken and beef. This is topped with cheese and is grilled to perfection. Bottom line a must have item when you are there.
Then came the star of the show.. The Classic Hamburger.. the paty was crunchy but juicy at the same time. Topped with fresh lettuce, tomato and caramelized onions; for me this was the star of the show...
The pork ribs and the beef steak.. as I said earlier the portions were huge. The pork ribs was better than the steak in terms of taste and i did find the steak to be a bit chewy.. The melt on the mouth effect was not present in the beef steak.. but the pork ribs lived upto the expectations. I'd suggest not to go for the beef steak. But you would rather want to go for the Pork Ribs.
Overall it was a cool experience and I'd want to go back there for the Meaty Jacket Potato and the best hamburger in town..🍔
Feeling rather hungry on a Saturday evening, I stumbled upon Hondo's while looking through Zomato. Having no idea whether it will be good or bad, I gave it a shot; and promptly ordered a Roxanne burger and chocolate mousse (because what's a good meal without a dessert).
Delivery arrived on time. The burger was neatly wrapped in foil with zero spillage. I hoped for the french fries like the picture, but they provided a small local potato chips packet. The mousse was in a plastic cup.
The burger was juicy and tasty. The patty was the right amount of hard, and the fillings were pretty complementary as well. The mousse was okay. Overall, it was good meal and definitely enough to satiate my hunger.
Definitely want to try the other burgers now.
This place needs no introduction . Being a lover of burgers myself I loved their Roxette burger . The bread and the patty is perfectly cooked and so delish . The meat items are also amazing . They staff here are super friendly . They are accommodating too. It remains crowded until the wee hours of night since this remains open throughout the night and all day long to cater to the hunger pangs . Just I would be happier if they take care of the hygiene a bit more since I found one small hair on my plate .

The pork chops had no meat but fat. So we literaly kept the plate untouched.
Other than that everything was superb. Specially the pork cocktail sausages.. .
The place is nice. Quality and quantity of the food is really appreciated. They even click pictures of people who visit the place and that's catchy. Recommended but a little costly..

Aha. Glad I found the place. Been looking for such a food-is-the-focus place for oh-so-long!
Firstly, the place itself is not big at all. It's quite small to be honest.
Secondly, it's really easy to locate. Just about 5 mins from Navina Cinema Hall (towards South City mall) , it's situated right on the roadside & the banner is certain to catch the eyes of anyone passing by.
Thirdly, the staff are really courteous. They were really helpful & informative. They also displayed some nice gestures by clicking our photo & instantly printing in to us without us even asking for any of it.
Fourthly, the ambience inside is quite funny & artistic. They have done all they could have done in that little space. Nice artworks on the wall, & the music taste is quite pleasant too to go with it.
& last but not the least, coming to the food, ummmm...... We ordered Hellboy (beef) (it's a burger), Shepherd's pie (mushroom & cheese), a choco mousse & a strawberry mousse. & oh boy, it was sooooo delicious, all of it , I can still taste it. 😋 The quantity is enough for even 2, for both the pie & the burger. The pricing is reasonable is what I feel.

Hondo's...A small cafe located at Prince Anwar Saha road beside Habib s academy is one of the place which is open 24*7.Had ordered oriental chicken rice and chicken Mowgli..Awesome in taste, perfectly flavoured and soft chunks of chicken made a memorable meal.Polite and courteous staffs are around to help u regarding the menu.The names in the menu card are quite unique.Very simple ambience.Good hospitality and great food.Would love to visit again.Good cooking Hondo's.Definately a try guys.

And we can assure you that this place is up to the mark.
Ambience is not that good but the food they serve and the friendly behaviour from the stuffs are worth it.
Now coming to the food,we ordered Corn and cheese filled Jacked potato, Pork Sausage cocktail and Meat Lover's Paradise Platter.
1)Corn and cheese filled jacked potato:
This made me remember of my childhood,I used to eat my cheese flavoured Uncle chips in my school.This one tastes more like that.
2) Pork Sausage Cocktail:
This is the best dish we tried at Hondo's.Sweet and tangy in taste,tossed with great spices.This one tastes amazing,but this one's for the Strong hearted person.
3)Meat Lover's Paradise Platter:
3 sunny side omlettes, Sausages,Bacon, Salami.
A beautiful breakfast platter.It tastes really good.
So,our experience at Hondo's was really good.We enjoyed every minute with great music.Food was good.
I went to this place on panchami. We ordered pasta, their famous burgers and French fries. The quality of food was great. They even added corn on my pasta as I wanted. They clicked us a picture and printed it instantly for us. So a big thumbs up for this place

Visited this place with my husband as it was heavily refered by one of my friend. Hondo's is the best for chilling out after a hectic day.
1st, the ambience. Nothing to complain as it is nice & cozy. The restuarant is very small so cannot hold a crowd much. But that's ok.
2nd, the food. Tried their Hell boy burger, french fries, blue berry mousse and tikkha mojito. The burger was humongous, one had to have a big mouth to get a good bite. Its was really delicious and fun. And the mojito is to die for, never i had tasted such a "tikkhi" one. The fries were excellent, and the blue berry mousse is awesome.
3rd, the staff. Very attentive. They have a sweet and unique tradition of their own of taking a snap and post it on their own facebook page, also to give away the hardcopy to the respective customer. Call it a marketing gimmick, but one cannot deny such sweet gesture.
All-over, it is a more than satisfactory visit and of course looking forward for more.
The chef was too good. The item that i ordered was not on the menu but she prepared it anyway as it was requested and it was delish. Ambience was nice as well. But some ingredients like bacon was not available and due to which some items were unavailable. Overall a good experience. Will visit again soon.
Food quality is very good. I presonally prefer their magic toothpick recipe. If someone loves continental food, this place is a good choice for them.

I ordered the Meat lover's Platter which had a triple egg omlette, Bacon, Salami and Sausages.
The taste was great and quantity was enough for two people.
A must visit cafe in South Kolkata to tryout some amazing food and enjoy the ambience of a classic Kolkata cafe.

I visited there with friends. Surprisingly there were no other visitors then. The ambience is good, they have some good doodles in the wall .
Food-
Starters- Hogged chicken and hogged tigress. It's chicken and prawn wrapped in bacon. Tasted good. 4/5
Main course - Chicken steak and tenderloin steak (one with pepper mushroom and another honey glazed). Chicken steak tasted good , had a smoky flavour 3.8/5. Personally I felt honey glazed tenderloin steak was better than pepper mushroom. But both the steaks felt okayish, considering other good steakhouses. The steak of pepper mushroom was not medium rare I feel. It was a bit undercooked. 2.5/5
We also had triple omelette and virgin mohito. Both of them tasted good. 4/5
Hondo's is one oldie in this part of the city where you can have anything from Continental to Mediterranean and American.
The menu has all sorts of meats you can look out for. Even for vegetarians there are ample amount of options to choose from.
We had the Shephard's Pie and a couple of juicy burgers, and we went out super delighted.
I would recommend this to you couples looking, looking for a quaint secluded cafe with an amazing vast menu to relish from.
It's a pretty cute cafe, located in Jadavpur. Went there with my friend on Sunday to grab some burgers as they're famous for their burgers. This time we tried there Meaty Sandwich which contained salami and decent amount of mayonnaise along with crispy french fries and tomato ketchup and then we tried Sun Burn burger which contained Bacon, Sunny side up egg and grilled bun along with french fries and tomato ketchup. This was really tasty and filling too. Another attraction of this place is their wall art and service was also pretty. Surely recommend this place if someone loves to try wide varities of burgers!!!❤️
It's a crime that people don't visit this gem of a place much. If you're looking for authentic continental dishes then this is the place for you. Quality of the food is still the same as I first had it back in 2016 and it never deteriorated over time. This has become my go to restaurant and I always keep coming back for their pasta and burgers.

This was my first visit to this place after a friend of mine suggested. I ordered a few items like chicken sandwich , Hawaiian salad, blue lagoon, virgin mojito, pineapple pamper, blueberry mousse, mango mousse , brownie with ice-cream. I am totally in love with the food.

Amazing food quality! Located at Prince Anwar Shah Road, this place is one of the best places in the city if not the best, to have continental food! They have a variety of dishes in their menu, I personally love their burgers! This place deserves a 5 star rating. The staff are well behaved and polite, and the rates are pretty reasonable for the quality of food they provide.
