If u are looking for good regional foods of asia, then asia house (as the name itself suggest)
can definately satisfy your taste buds
I ordered
Chicken takrai . It is definately good as the starter.
Egg fried rice- it was full of scrambled eggs, chicken pieces and other sorts of vegetables. It was sufficient for 2.
Chicken momo- momo which is too much filled with chicken. Definately Worth the price.
Apart from this i ordered, hakka chowmein and pork in barbeque sauce. They were good too. ♥️♥️
Asia house delivery wins hearts with the quantity. Good enough for two, this Asian place packs in flavourful food.
Ordered in Halka chowmein, chicken Momos, Pork in Asian Barbeque Sauce and Chicken Takrai.
I loved the pork, which had wholesome quantity of the meat part and not only the fat. Bell papers were ample, aside from the gravy being perfectly spiced.
Chicken Takrai tasted of lemongrass, not a favourite though, but nevertheless something different than the regular dry chicken starters we usually have.
There could be an improvement in the Momos, yes. The coating could be made thinner. This would then give the otherwise filling momos a hearty taste.
Thank you for the prompt delivery service.
Good luck.
I love to taste different asian food and Asia House is the perfect place to experience the Asian flavour in my favourite dishes.
I have ordered Chicken Steamed Momo - filled with a mixture of chicken & other veggies. Then I have Pork in Asia Barbequed Sauce. It's so tasty.
Then I took Egg Fried Rice with Yummy Chicken Takrai. The taste is amazing.

The food is delectable! Reasonable prices with a good quantity of food. This restaurant is one the best in asian cuisine. Its not a very crowded place which adds to its charm along with their decor which feels so simple and effortless.
Asia House is located in Lake View road in Southern Avenue. This has to be the place with one of the best Chinese cuisines in the city. Though the restaurant is not very big but I really liked the ambience.
Now coming to the food, the quality is top class. Each & every dish they prepare is appealing. The quantity of the food is considerable. The staffs were polite and friendly.
Overall had a really nice experience visiting this place & will definitely come next time. This is a must visit place for Chinese delicacies.
Our expedition for South Calcutta's best restaurants took us to this place in Lake View road. It was very easy to locate. We visited around the early evening hours. What put us off slightly was the fact that the air conditioners weren't fully operational at that moment and that's a bummer in summers. The interiors aren't honestly to die for, but when you do a bit of research you know the food is the only reason you have come here. They do not disappoint on that front. We had our full course:
Lemon Coriander soup(Chicken) - A standard favorite and it was well made, the freshness and tanginess of lemon and coriander plus the consistency of the soup. 5/5
Asia House Special Dumplings(Pork) - ABsolutely lip smacking. The special in the name hasn't just been put there. They mean it. 5/5
Asian BBQ'd chicken- Loved this classic.
New additions to the menu of Asia House!
Team Panchphoron was called for its new menu launch. We were served-
Som Tom Salad- papaya based salad mixed with tangy Nd flavourful sauces. 4/5
Kung Pao Momo- Momo with chicken and cashews in a spicy sauce. One of it's kind. 5/5
Grilled chicken Teriyaki- sliced chicken in teriyaki sauce. 3/5
Japanese Teriyaki noodle- very spicy and overpowering Teriyaki sauce. 1/5
Hong Kong chicken- another gem dish. 4/5
Fish in chilli Oyester sauce- the fish was really soft and melted in our mouth. The sauce was blended to perfection. 5/5
Spicy Sichuan Rice- nicely made with the perfect mix of spices. Highly recommended. 4/5

The search for best rated restaurants in kolkata took us to this restaurant in southern avenue. Firstly its a small restaurant with very less sitting space. The ambience isnt anything to talk about. So while rating this 2 factors have been kept in mind. Fortunately on the night of our visit the outlet was not full and hence we got the seats as soon as we arrived. However given the fact that the outlet with its limited seating got almost full when we finished it would not be a bad idea to go for pre booking. Now the food review- For starters we opted for asia house spcl dumpling-chicken and it was good. Not Wow like the ones we get at Momo I am. Veg starter- crispy baby corn with oriental sauce was nice and the outer coating had sweet tangy as well as spicy taste..making it a real chatpata starter.
For main course- we ordered chicken hakka noodles and mixed saigon friedrice(vietnamese) and sliced lamb in chilli garlic sauce as side dish. Hakka noodles was tasty and lesa oily. Mixed saigon friedrice is also nice with nuts and a different aroma. Lamb was delicious and looked tp perfrction. Having said that nothing did incite the wow factor which we had expected from a best rated restaurant. I would have gone with 3 stars but for the fried icecream which really stole the show. Dont miss it guys..the coating of cocunut in the icecream was innovative and irresistible. 4 stars from my side. But expected much more..Photo of the fired icecream attached
Good place to have genuine Pan Asian in South Kolkata. We started off with two soups - Tom Kha Soup and Mixed Seafood soup. Both were hearty and the first had liberal helpings of thick coconut cream. It is my favourite Thai soup. We then had two appetisers - both well done with different flavours - one the famous Lat Me Kai, and the other Pepper Garlic chicken. The Lat Me Kai was given with loads of vegetables too, which made it a complete dry main course alternative.
Finally (due to my wife's diet) we asked for mixed Pad Thai which came with total Siamese authenticity - lot of crushed peanuts, a hint of Kaffir Lime Leaves, and small crispy shrimps. Chinese is easy to get, good Pan Asian is not.
The food was enough for 4 persons and we had to pack up lots as we could not finish the food at one go. Will always like to go back on special occasions. Parking a problem but can be managed. Decor is average but the food is surely not.
Small outlet. Nice decor.
We took 1.Drums of heaven
2.Nasi Goreng , spicy and delicious (recommended)
3.Khao Pad Kratiem, didn't like it that much
4.Stir fried Chicken in Korean Chilli Sauce
5.Tausi fish , not spicy but fish was fresh
This is a small joint located at Southern aveneu. I had chili corriandr soup , khawsey and burnt garlic rice & noodles and roasted chilli pork. The food is too good and the ambiance too is good.
|| New menu launch at Asia house ||
As the name suggests this place is popular for its Asian cuisine ." Gem " I would like to call this place . I am talking about Asia House located in lake view road . Cute little place with a sitting arrangement of about 30 people approximately. Me along with my panchphoron team members were invited to try out their new menu .Extremely pleased with the hospitality . Now coming to the food that were served to us
1. Som Tam Salad: An alternative name for Papaya salad . Made primarily with green papaya and roasted peanuts and crushed garlic , started with this light healthy sweet and sour salad.
2. Kung Pao Momo: A twist to our regular momo dishes.Chicken Momo's wok tossed and then stir fried in a spicy sauce . The sauce also had a hint of sweetness . One of the very good innovations of recent times.
3. Grilled Chicken Teriyaki: This dish had grilled portions of chicken tossed in teriyaki sauce. Garnished with lots of sesame seeds on top. I loved the spiciness in it.
4. Hong Kong Chicken: big portions of chicken in sweet and sour sauce . One may have this with any rice or noodles preparation.
5. Fish Chilli Oyster:Oyster Sauce is renowned for it's earthy and rustic fragrance. A dark brown coloured fish gravy.
6. Spicy Egg Sichuan Rice: The dish involves the use of Sichuan chillies which are very spicy ,and hence the dish was hot for the tongue , goes well with any chicken/ fish on the side
7. Vegetarian Japanese Teriyaki Noodles: Hand tossed Noodles, tossed in sweet and tangy Teriyaki Sauce.
Thank you Panchphoron and am2pmfood for the invitation
" Gem " i would like to call this place . i am talking about Asia House located in lake view road . Cute little place with a sitting arrangement of about 30 people approximately. Me along with my panchphoron team members were invited to try out their new menu .Extremely pleased with the hospitality . Now coming to the food that were served to us -
1.Spicy Thai chicken noodle soup- A thai soup that contains chicken momo super thin noodles and the added goodnes of lemongrass chilli and garlic.
2.Oriental Barbecue chicken - Chicken pieces barbecued and coated in barbecue sauce which is slightly spicy, savory sauce. This was little chewy.
3.Madrasi fried fish - fish coated in batter and deep fried .
4.Dan Dan noodles - This was one of my favorites .Dandan noodles is a noodle dish originating from Chinese Sichuan cuisine. It consists of a spicy sauce containing preserved vegetables, chili oil, Sichuan pepper, minced chicken, served over noodles. This one is the best for people who like to have spicy food
5.Banchow noodles -Completely different from the previous one . If you prefer less spicy noodles then you must go for this one. there was a very good amount of chicken in white gravy served over finer noodles .
6.Malabar chicken curry with steamed rice - Kerala style chicken curry which involves the use of coconut milk seved with steamed rice .
We were also served non veg fried rice with chilly chicken on our request. They happily served us . Needless to say this dish also matched up our expectations .
finally in the desserts we were served Darsaan with vanilla ice cream , a match made in heaven. Darsaan is a popular Chinese Dessert made with fried wonton noodles. The noodles are drizzled with Honey and sesame seeds served with scoops of vanilla ice cream .
New menu is surely going to flourish in the upcoming days and hope this place maintains its quality of food .
The best thing about about Asian cuisine is the subtle taste yet very aromatic flavour which one cannot deny to have. The use of spices is very minimal to the extent required which keeps the delicacies very simple yet very flavorful.
Presenting to you the glimpse of some of the newest addition to the existing menu of ASIA HOUSE which they are ready to the serve to the people of Kolkata at their Southern Avenue outlet.
Team Panchohoron along with it's Oriental lover members went there to try out the following items-
•Som Tom Salad: it's a papaya based salad made with julian of papaya then mixed with a pickled flvaour dressing with was tangy and sour. Perfect starter option for health conscious people and for this summer heat.
•Kung Pao Momo: we all have tried Kung Pao Chicken which have it's distinct sweet flavour and crunch of cashew nuts, the chef have implemented the same but in the form of pan fried Momo which is mind blowing. The sauce took the Momo's to a whole new level. Recommended.
•Grilled Chicken Teriyaki: sliced chicken tossed in teriyaki sauce with no gravy, then garnished with some sesame seeds. The chickens were a little crunchy on the outside and juicy from inside.
•Japanese Teriyaki Noodles: this dish disappointed me a little, the reason was the cooking. I found the teriyaki sauce used was a little excessive which overpowered the taste of the noodles which I didn't like. I will suggest the chef to reduce the portion of the sauce used so that the flavour remains balanced.
•Hong Kong Chicken: this side dish had a punch of pepper at the end, spicy lovers will love it. Sliced chicken cooked in the red gravy is a good accompaniment for your noodles or rice.
•Fish in Chilli Oyster Sauce: again one of their signature dishes, the fish pieces were soft and melted like butter in the mouth. The oyster sauce complimented the taste of the fish and took it to a whole new level. Highly Recommended.
•Spicy Sichuan Rice: this rice preparation have a very close resemblance with schezwan rice according to me. It is very spicy and have punch of the spicy sauce at the end, try to side it with a sweet gravy item in order to contrast the same. Even though it is spicy both spicy and non spicy lovers will enjoy the same.
This place is renounwed for it's Asian delicacies which successfully meets the expectations of every kind of tastebuds. Hovering over an wide array of dishes to choose from one can go out abundant of options to choose from. Further, the quality and the taste it promises to provide is worth mentioning.

New Additions to the menu of Asia House.!
Asia House, a familiar name when it comes to Asian cuisine sets fold for a fresh new addition, as it welcomes some newly incorporated dishes into it's menu. Having famed as one of the most popular destination for Asian hub, the quality of the food served here is indeed unparallel and too good for the price point it charges.
1. Som Tam Salad: Most popularly known as Green Papaya Salad, this had it's root originating from the Last region. With many variations existing, the two most major ingredients imparting the flavor profile in the dish has to be green papaya and roasted peanuts. The chillies and the garlic were crushed in nice, not overpowering much the taste. The palm sugar acted as a neutralizer and balanced the addition of the lime juice. The salad was garnished with grated mozzarella cheese, parsley and bell peppers. What we got as a final result was a crunchy, sweet, sour and slightly spicy salad to kick off our dinner.
2. Kung Pao Momo: A well acclaimed stir fried preparation, this one had steamed Chicken Momo's, wok tossed and then stir fried in a sweet, sour and spicy sauce. Wihe addition of the Sichuan chillies which gavd in the heat quotient, the Momo's were tangy and sweet creating various notes of flavor within the mouth. The Momo's were just of the perfect texture, not too soggy or dry. Garnished with bell peppers, spring onions and caramelized onions, this was just beyond any praise.
3. Grilled Chicken Teriyaki: Throw in garlic, ginger, vinegar, soya sauce and a little bit of sugar and you get an explosion of different flavor countries in a single bowl. This dish had grilled portions of chicken tossed in teriyaki sauce. The chicken was soft, with the grilling method adding a churned flavor onto the chicken. Drizzled with sesame seeds, this undoubtedly screamed for a repeat serving.
4. Hong Kong Chicken: A classic sauce tending it's roots towards Cantonese cuisine, this is usually made up of chopped dried seafoods and then combined with chilli and garlic. The Chicken was soft and tender, and the Hong Kong sauce gave a slight neutral flavor, which was perfectly balanced with the Spicy Egg Sichuan Rice, that is not too sweet nor too much on the tangy side.
5. Fish Chilli Oyster: Once again a familiar sauce to the gastronomic world, Oyster Sauce is renowned for it's earthy and rustic fragrance. As the name suggests, this is made up of Ousters and thus imparts a dark brown color. The fish was cut into fine slices, coated and then sauted to crispy perfection. The fried portions were then tossed in the sauce to create a semi-thickened gravy. Being a big fan of Oyster Sauce as whole, this was much to my liking.
6. Spicy Egg Sichuan Rice: As the name suggests, this dish has the usage of the trademark Sichuan Chillies. Hailing from a prominent region known for the production of this fiery class of chilies, the rice dish as obvious was spicy and tickled the tastebuds like anything. Garnished with thinly sliced carrots and spring onions, one could pair this perfectly with the Hong Kong Chicken.
7. Vegetarian Japanese Teriyaki Noodles: Hand tossed Noodles, tossed in sweet and tangy Teriyaki Sauce.
The recent additions we're included keeping in mind of the already prevailing quality set by Asia House. As always, each and every dish was flavorful and had it's own unique appeal. In short, a must try for food enthusiasts.

Food served to us was innovative and tasty. It was worth the price paid. Wide range of menu was offered. As well as good ambience impressed us.
Small and cosy place on Lake view road near Lake kalibari. Wanted to have Chinese food and pinned down on this place since it was the highest rated Chinese restaurant in Kolkata according to Zomato. But to my surprise on reaching there we found the entire restaurant to ourselves since no one else had come there to dine. The ambience is simple yet decent. The staff was courteous. Coming to the food we ordered two coriander and chilli prawn and chicken soup which was absolutely delicious. One of the best soup I have ever tasted in my life. Then for starters we ordered chili roast pork which was good though the meat was slightly undercooked. Then we ordered the Asia House special chicken dumplings which tasted great. For main course we got 3 plates of veg chilli garlic noodles and along with it is Neua Kae Kraprow which was a Thai lamb dish and sliced fish with Asian bokchoy and chilli wine sauce. The fish was amazing definitely the highlight of the entire meal and the lamb though it reminded me of my visit to Thailand and their food preparations was a bit too spicy. The only downside was that they did not have any beverage from their menu to go with the spicy food. Overall a great place to dine in if you are a huge fan of Chinese cuisine.
All the dishes were excellent. We had Momos and the Asian Barbequed fish to start with. The steamed Momos were freshly made, plump, firm and the chicken stuffing had just the right taste. We then had the Kungpao Prawns, the Sliced chicken in wine sauce with Hakka noodles and the Coriander and burnt Garlic fried rice.
The fried rice was undoubtedly the star of the show! Delicately spiced, the coriander and burnt garlic smokiness was so good - you need not have any accompaniment with it. The prawns in the Kungpao prawns were generous in size.
All our dishes were selected on the basis of minimum chili-heat and hence many other interesting menu items were given the miss. Also all dishes were minus ‘Ajina Moto’ as per request.
We ended with another interesting dessert comprising Orange Darsaan and basil with vanilla ice cream.
All portions are quite generous. Asia House is indeed a deserving candidate for a position among the top eating places and n Kolkata.
Located just off southern avenue this small little place was truly a surprising disovery .Their menu is pretty extensive and they have special bowls the quantity of which is more than enough for one person. We were pretty impressed with the flavours. Would definitely like to visit again to try the rest of their stuff.
Good Place For Asian cuisines..It's a kind of asian food restaurant you can find various items from chinese to korean to thai to oriental..You won't be disappoint at all..I ordered Drums of Heaven, Khao pad kratiem,Coriander and burnt garlic rice,Sliced chicken asia bok choi in wine sauce,Thai red pork...Each one was upto the mark..
Located in Southern Avenue near Macazzo.. comes a cosy place with a decent ambience and serving great Chinese/Malaysian/Vietnamese food is this Asia House.. Although we took Signature bowls.. They are great.. Love to visit again soon to taste their other delicious dishes..
Asia house is located in a quite street in Southern Avenue, that is the street adjacent to Dugout and Indian Bank.
The decor is simple and the ambience is calm.
What we ordered:
1. Asia House Special Dumplings: 6 pieces in a plate. The dumplings have a very soft flour coating and the meat is also seasoned well. The special item in the dish is a sauce which they pour lightly on the dumplings. That's all.
Overall good taste.
2. Bali Street Side Stir Fried Fish: The main side dish. This was new for us. This is an Indonesian dish, therefore has a slight hint of sour taste to it. The server told us that the dish was very spicy and hence we ordered it, but to my disappointment it wasn't spicy at all. There were 8 pieces of fish in a plate.
3. Egg fried rice: Quality of rice was good. It was soft. Tasted good.
Quantity may fall short for some people, for us it was okay. Price was not too exorbitant. A good place to dine with friends and family.

My first time at Asia House! A friend's birthday treat, and yes it was a real treat to be at the place and eat their food. The place is not big enough but the food served there would call for people making a queue!
The staff is also very courteous and helpful.
A one word for the delicacies would be "delicious" ! We ordered chicken fried wantons, jiang's pan fried prawns, mixed cantonese noodles and sweet lime soda and sprite. I must say, the wontons were fried to perfection, perfect crisp, fresh, and the chicken filling was completely satiating. I had tried wontons for the first time and the experience was great. The cantonese noodles was so simple, the noodles were cooked the way they should have been cooked, they were served hot enough to just hogg on them as soon as they were served. The chunks of chicken, egg and prawn very basic, but the taste was good in them being basic. All in all, the noodles was a healthy and stomach filling meal. Loved it! The prawns in the Jiang's pan fried prawns were fresh and tasty. The sauce was finger licking good. Apart from the dishes, there was pickle style chilli sauce which was lovely. It went well with the wontons and noodles. The sweet lime soda was good.
A great and tasty experience at Asia House!
Just awesome food.
Fried ice cream was just love.
Tausi fish was just lovely.
Rice noodles was tasty too.
Staff were very friendly.
Loved the place.
Recently visited this hub of Asian food with my fellow friends and my visit was really a memorable one.
I tried a plenty of dishes.
Started with
Dumpling soup -the flavour was really there.
Sambal salad - pretty good.
Drums of heaven - it's the best I guess
Veg gyoza -nice
For main coarse had
Tausi fish - the taste and the fish was really fresh.
Hakka noodles veg - very much flavour fill.
Khao pad kratiem veg
For dessert we had brownie with ice cream and fried ice cream and the experience with fried ice cream over here was an amazing shot.
Isn't the typical Chinese restaurant with dragons and red light. Though small, but well lit and have Minimilastic decor
The food, here is great in quality and quantity.
We started on a lighter note with dumpling soup with fish in sambal salad, both being well balanced.
From the main course, I Loved the chicken in Korean chilly sauce. It's a must have for spice lovers. Also, it goes well with Khaopad, which is the Thai styled rice item.
The deserts won the lunch. The fried ice cream with crunchy coating of coconut and gooey home made brownie with ice cream can make anyone addicted to it.
Visited on saraswati puja for lunch and since it was 3.30,the place was not crowded luckily. The rating on zomato is justifiable even though the bill was quite high for just two people.
For starters,
♡ Asian Barbecued pork: The sauce was flavourful enough but the meat was chewy. I expected it to be more soft. The quantity was sufficient enough for 2. But the fat was lesser in proportion to the meat. 4/5
♡ Asia House Special dumplings: Basically momos but with their special in house sauce,it was good enough to make up for the porkdish! Could've gone for a second round on this. 5/5
In the mains,
♡Khao Pad Kratiem: We took the mixed one,it was loaded with chicken, pork, egg and prawns, tasted great. The quantity was easily enough for two people. 5/5
♡Lamb: Unfortunately i do not remember the name of the lamb side dish( it was a difficult one seriously) and i could not find it in the zomato menu too,but you will find it at the restaurant. They have many specialities in lamb dishes. Extremely soft, and full of flavours! Also, had more than 8 pieces. 5/5
Lastly for the dessert,
♡Fried ice cream: I had this dish for the first time here and i loved it! The taste of coconut was distinct and complemented the vanilla ice cream well. The chocolate syrup should've been more though. This was the only dish i found to be overpriced, even though the taste and quantity was satisfying. 5/5
If you aren't fond of coconut, don't go for this dessert!
The ambience was casual, and can be worked on. The staff were helpful but please do ask before serving!

Overall my experience was great now I am looking forward to my next visit to this amazing restaurant.
This is one of my favourite asian restaurants. The interior is not very big but its comfortable and the staff are very polite. The food is delicious and i can't help but keep coming back for more.
Asia House located at Southern Avenue is definitely one of the best places for having Asian cuisines. This place was in my wishlist since a long time. So finally went there to have lunch.
The place is small with a seating area of 35people approx. The interiors are pretty decent and the place is very calm and cozy. Now coming to the food we had:
Starters-
Chicken Dumpling Soup: The soup was nothing extraordinary and had a portion of chicken dumpling in it.
Sambal Salad (Fish): Loved it totally. Tasted quite unique. The fish fillets were cooked to its perfection. Definitely recommended.
Drums of heaven: Lajawab will be the word for this.
Veg Gyoza: One of the best Veg Goyza till date.
Main Course-
Stir Fried Chicken in Korean Chili Sauce: Tasted okayish. Did'nt like it that much.
Tausi fish: Tausi fish was absolutely beautiful and was served with mushrooms as well.
Hakka noodles Veg: The noodles was superb. Perfectly cooked and really loved it.
Khao Pad Kratiem Veg: This is basically veg fried rice and was cooked to its perfection.
After having a shandar lunch to satisfy our sweet tooth cravings we had:
Fried Ice Cream: Well I can go back to this place again and again to have this. Tasted excellent. Highly recommended.
Brownie with Ice Cream: My love for this dessert is neverending. Another must have dessert.
Overall had a very nice experience. Will surely visit this place again.
Situated in Southern Avenue, this place has to be one of my favourite place to have Asian food (mainly Chines though). Even though this is not a very place, but the place is being decorated beautifully, the interior is fine and the food here is amazing. One can sit here and enjoy the food completely. The staffs here are courteous. I ordered a few dishes here and really liked the food.
Following are the names,
Chicken Dumpling Soup
Sambal Salad (Fish)
Drums of heaven
Veg Gyoza
Stir Fried Chicken in Korean Chili Sauce
Tausi fish
Hakka noodles Veg
Khao Pad Kratiem Veg
Brownie with Ice Cream
Fried Ice cream
Chicken Dumpling Soup is a must have. Also veg Gyoza and drums of heavens are my pick from starters. Not to forget the amazing desserts here. Brownie with Ice Cream is a must have here. Really liked the experience, surely going back to the Place.
Asia House is located on Lake View Road. It's a 5min walk from Triangular Park/ R.B. Avenue. Went to this place for lunch today.
We ordered the following items~
*Starters-
Chicken Dumpling Soup - It's a clear soup with a piece of dumpling in it. The soup has nice flavours.
Sambal Salad (Fish) - They also have a vegetarian option for this dish. The fish was spicy and tangy. It also had blanched vegetables which added a nice crunch to the dish.
Drums of heaven - This is my favourite dish of the day! The chicken was tender and delicious. The sauce was sweet and sour. Overall a good balance of flavours.
Veg Gyoza - This is basically a kind of Dimsum with veggies inside it. Topped with sauces and sesame seed.
*Main Course-
Stir Fried Chicken in Korean Chili Sauce - The gravy of this dish really goes well with both hakka noodles and rice. The chicken pieces were juicy and soft. Overall a good dish.
Tausi fish - This dish has a unique flavour. I can't really describe it but it was flavoursome.
Hakka noodles Veg
Khao Pad Kratiem Veg - This is a rice dish. It had different kinds of spices and had a nice kick of flavours.
Brownie with Ice Cream - Oh, this dessert! Just loved it. The hot brownie drowning in chocolate sauce topped with Cold Ice Cream, just wow!
Fried Ice cream - Loved this dessert as well. Coated with coconut. Deep fried. What a unique combination. This dish is a must try.
Ambience : 4/5

Ordered menu:
1. Asia house special chicken Dumplings (as a starter)
2.chicken meifoon
3.slicked chicken in chili & wine sauce.
Taste- good
Highly recommend ✔️
Total cost- 845/-(including GST)
I loved the Hong Kong style tofu...it was so tasty and the flavor was so good I wish there was some gravy as well. I think there should be lots of veg options Hong Kong style so I can order.
Second item that was very tasty as well was called Buddhist lost in China or something like that. I didn't like the momos/dimsums in that but the gravy was AWESOME and went very well with the fried noodles...really heats you up!
So that led me to experiment with 2 other dishes one flat noodles made with jaggery I thought it would be sweet but I didn't like that one at all. And the second was a Kung pao preparation over rice with poached egg. Kung pao is supposed to be sweet and this onewasnt, it was just something bland and they didn't send me the egg. Sothis one was also disappointing
But food quality is good, food appears over priced, especially since some dishes don't taste good...
Asia House is another remarkable restaurant which provides good Chinese food. The menu is has good variety and the taste of the dishes are overwhelming. However the ambience is not that great but that can be surely overlooked when you get such good food. We tried the restaurant during the rush hours and still the service and food was equally good. The location is a bit tricky to find, follow the maps.
*Asian Barbequed Fish*
Asian Barbequed Fish was a complete delight. Boneless fish pieces tossed in house special barbeque sauce with onions, capsicums and spring onions. The flavours came out to be real good; a subtle smokiness to the fish The fish was fresh and nicely cooked. Even the quantity is good.
A must try 👌
Price ₹300 (10 pieces)
Rating- 4/5
*Nasi Goreng*
House special Nasi Goreng is an Indonesian style spicy fried rice with onions, bell peppers, carrots and shredded chicken. The rice is an absolute pleasure to eat as the flavours are very different from regular Chinese fried rice. It is one one of my personal favourites here. The quantity is enough for two people.
A must try 👌
Price ₹230
Rating- 4.5/5
*Diced Chicken in Devil's sauce*
This dish again wasn't any exception; equally impressive in taste. Boneless chicken peices cooked in house special devil's sauce. The chicken was soft and flavourful.
A thumbs up.👍
Price ₹260
Rating- 4/5
I happened to find this gem of a place in Southern Avenue. Located just a few mins from Deshapriyo Park, this restaurant is known to serve some delectable Chinese and Oriental cuisines. The decors are okayish, nothing extraordinary though. On my visit here, I tried out the following items:
SOUPS:
1. Spicy Lemon Burnt Garlic Soup- The soup was average, Nothing extraordinary but yes it was refreshing and worked as a satisfactory appetizer.
Lots of veggies like corna and mushroom were added and it also had a burnt taste.
STARTERS:
1. Drums of Heaven- The best dish of the Evening. Succulent, juicy pieces of perfectly marinated chicken tossed in sauces and garnished with lime leaves thus enchancing it's flavour.
2. Japanese Teriyaki Chicken- Again, a nicely made dish with the right amount of condiments in perfect proportion thus giving you that authentic teriyaki taste.
MAIN COURSE:
1. Java Grilled Fish- Not a huge fish lover but I kind of really liked how this dish was prepared. Served hot and the pieces of basa being fresh, it went really well with the Rice and the Noodles.
2. Kai Pad Pak- It was made of a lots of veggies and it tasted quite good. The name of the dish is kind of unique.
3. Teriyaki Fried Rice Egg- The rice was pretty well made and went quite good with the gravy dishes.
4. Hakka Chowmien- I liked the Chowmein more than the fried rice. The Chowmien was made really good and it had that authentic chinese taste and a Chowmein lover like me could gorge on an entire plate by his own.
DESSERT:
1. Darsaan with Vanilla Icecream- Desserts are always a must have after a hearty meal. However, the darsaan was not as crispy as you would expect and it was a bit soggy. I think there is a slight room for improvement in here.
Overall, I had a great experience dining here and I am looking forward to my next visit.
Located on Lake View Road, just beside the Raymond Shop, this eatery serves some amazing Oriental dishes. I visited with some of my friends a few days back and tried the following-
Soup,
• Spicy Lemon Burnt Garlic Soup- It was very light with veggies like mushroom, broccoli and had a mild smell of burnt garlic and a tang from the lemon. I loved it that they did not put any cornflour in it.
For the starters we had,
• Drums of Heaven- Recommended! The drums did not have a thick cornflour coating. The sauce was sweet and tangy with a lovely smell of lime leaves.
• Japanese Teriyaki Chicken- Recommended! Soft balls of chicken marinated in a tangy sauce, a must try!
We had the following mains and sides,
• Kai Pad Pak Noodles- It had lots of fresh veggies. They do not use too much oil.
• Egg Teriyaki Fried Rice- Recommended! It was very flavorful.
• Hakka Chicken- It complemented the rice very well.
• Java Grilled Fish- Tasted really good with the noodles.
Dessert,
• Darsaan with Vanilla Ice Cream- The perfect end to a wonderful meal.
The staff is very courteous and service is prompt.
The ambience is very soothing.
I would definitely visit again soon to try other dishes from the menu.
What's in a name? Presumably a lot!
Asia House is a casual dining restaurant specializing in Asian cuisines. The place has a nice and pleasant ambience and is perfect for having authentic Asian delicacies. The simple ambience is very soothing and ensures a pleasant dining experience with family and friends. The economical menu is in line with the tastes and preferences of the diners and serves a variety of delicious Chinese, Thai, Burmese, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Singaporean delicacies along with a range of mouth-watering Seafood dishes. The quality of the ingredients, taste of the food as well as the portion size is equally impressive. The restaurant is located on Lake View Road, beside Raymond's showroom in Southern Avenue, Kolkata.
All in all Asia House is the perfect place for people who like to have sumptuous and authentic Asian dishes.
Found this hidden gem in Southern Avenue on my way to meet Bae and friends.
The restaurant is a small space but very winter friendly. It's a nice place to go with your family, friends and Bae.
Here are the items that we had ordered to have a befitting meal for Five:
SPICY LEMON BURNT GARLIC SOUP.
A clear vegetable soup which had a tangy twist to it. It had Broccoli, Baby Corn, Mushrooms and all the exotic veggies that you would love having in a light and healthy soup.
DRUMS OF HEAVEN.
This is a twist to your ordinary Chicken Lollipop. Prepared with Chicken Wings and Schezwan Sauce, this dish is sure to start off a nice conversation.
JAPANESE TERIYAKI CHICKEN.
This dish was a burst of flavour in my mouth and it sure is to happen to you as well once you taste it. This dish is tossed with Sake, Mirin and Teriyaki sauce and is served with a lovely proportion of Bell peppers and sprinkled with Sesame seeds.
JAVA GRILLED FISH.
Now I'm not a fan of fish. But this dish is highly recommended. This dish was an absolute show stealer.
KAI PAD PAK.
Ordered this out of curiosity and was quite surprised with the result. The word Pak means vegetables. This dish is a lovely concoction of Sliced Chicken and Veggies which have been tossed in sauce.
But as much as I love meat over fish, this time the fish stole the show.
TERIYAKI EGG FRIED RICE AND CHICKEN HAKKA NOODLES.
Ordered this to go along with the Java Grilled Fish and the Kai Pad Pak, these weren't very bad and went well along with the food consumed. The rice was sweet and had a lovely aroma. And the noodles were just like what Hakka noodles are supposed to taste like.
DARSAAN.
This was a shocker. This dessert is Vanilla Ice Cream and Honeyed Fried Noodles. A food item so simple and so mind blowing. And a great end to a lovely meal and an evening too.
This is a very pocket friendly place for people who want to throw a party for a small gathering. The quantity is great and the quality lives up to your expectations. Spend your New Year's Eve here tonight, maybe?
Loved the food would recommend the pok.choy chicken and the starters were great. Liked the nice cosy space. Totally recommend this place. And it's has a great price point.
When in Calcutta always try the small quaint places it never would disappoint you , such is this place quite by the road side , foods great no recommendations , take your pick you surely would not regret it ....
I had dropped in with my family today at Asia House. Whenever it's winter I crave for Asian food. The cuisine of Asia House was perfect for our taste buds and made me crave for more. Specially the starters couldn't hold my urge back and ordered the items twice :p
Now coming to the location of this place. It's situated in Southern avenue just an auto from Kalighat Metro.
We had ordered the spicy lemon burnt garlic soup !
Gosh how many of you reading my review are soup lovers? This is the perfect choice for you guys. Not only is this yummy but it's healthy as well.
The starters included drums of heaven which consists of 8 pieces. The quantity of this place is just so good compared to the other restaurants that I have dined at.
The next starter was Japanese Teriyaki Chicken.
Both of these starters were so yummy and Delectable.
The main course consisted of Java Grilled Fish! One portion of it contained 8 pieces.
Not much of a fish lover I am but gosh this was just so amazing.
The Kai pad Pak - A very unique chicken dish where Pak means vegetables. Very healthy and yummy although the fish steals the show.
To go along with these dishes we had ordered egg fried rice and hakka chowmein.
The main course was so satisfying in terms of both quality and quantity.
Next for the desserts we checked the menu and decided to gorge on darsaan ! This is freakishly awesome. I have got the hang of it.
Overall a very pocket friendly and good place with huge quantity being served per portions.
Overall I liked the place. Totally recommended.
Winter time demands something hot. So what is more special than a bowl of piping hot soup? You can definitely try their Spicy lemon burnt garlic soup. Its subtle aroma will surely tempt your senses. Drums of heaven will startle you as a suave starter. It is light on spice but high on taste.
Now coming to the java grilled fish, it was rich on spices. It tastes best with Kai pad pak. Teriyaki egg fried rice is ordinary. It is bland so it goes well with Java grilled fish as well. Japanese teriyaki chicken is also simple yet elegant. You can combine it with Hakka chicken noodles. You won’t be disappointed!
Lastly, Darsaan serves well as a perfect dessert. This place is recommended for all Asian food lovers.
Visited this quaint little eatery with my parents on a chilly winter evening. Ground floor of a traditional South Kolkata house has been converted into this restaurant, and it's dimmed light, paint scattered doors and mandarin scribed walls reminded me of Kowloon, Hong Kong.
We ordered the following: Shanghai Hawkers Soup, Asia House Special Dimsum and Mixed Pad Thai.
The Shanghai Hawkers Soup has been a pleasant surprise for a starter, brim with tofu, burnt garlic and chicken. The lemony aroma of kaffir lime leaves kept us awake for the next course. The Asia House Special Dimsum is highly recommended. Sumptuous pieces of flavoured chicken wrapped in thin layer of flour, dipped in curry sauce with some secret ingredients. Pad Thai was as authentic as it could have been, with generous use of jaggery sauce, peanuts and prawns.
I will surely visit this place again to try more items it has to offer.
How much i praise this place would be less. If you want authentic chinese food, try this. We had the sea food soup which was amazing. Starters, main course all were amazing. Each and every gravy had its own distinct taste which is not very common. Too good! The ambience is also very nice. Even a normal chilli chicken tastes heavenly over here.

Located just beside Raymonds Seconds store in the alley beside Lake kalibari. Thought a bit taken aback at the emptiness. Quite surprising for a 4.7 starred restaurant on a saturday afternoon. We were the only one at 1.30 PM!! The interiors is simplified one. What stands out is the food. The menu is an extensive one and we opted for honey glazed pork(₹310), Coriander and burnt garlic mixed rice (₹250) and upon our request for a prawn item with white gravy, they recommended cilery and wine prawn (₹420). Service a strong plus. Coming to food, glazed pork was done in nicely almost nearing the perfection.Fried rice was okayish. Though we opted for mixed variant, couldnot find crab or pork in it. Prawn tasted a bit blunt but the gravy just pulls it through. Joyati Mondal

Ordered Chilli Shambal Noodles with Moo Pad Kraprow pork side dish. The noodles were a mixture of pan fried gravy variant and the pork was tasty with lemongrass flavored. The ambience was good and light Japanese music was playing in the background. Definitely coming back here.

This place is located on Southern Avenue, more precisely, Lake View Road. It's small and seats around thirty people at full capacity. The staff are very helpful, and one of them was very useful to us by having pointed out that we were ordering too much when we'd placed one initially, and that was a mighty wonderful tip. Now, to the food, and it was all very delicious, but we did have to initially wait for a period of nigh thirty minutes to get the starter and nigh ten more minutes for the rest of the order. There was a volume or orders placed online and attending to them was clearly affecting their pace, and it's an issue I hope the restaurant can sort out. We started off with the Roast Pork Chilli with Bok Choy, and it contained the most delicious cuts of pork roasted to perfection, and the pepper in it really came through and hot the spot. The bok choy was also perfect. The rest of our order comprised of Mixed Mee Goreng, Pork in Asian Barbecue Sauce and Thai Green Curry. Each item was competing to be better than the previous one. The Mixed Mee Goreng is a strong recommendation, with its zing and the combination of chicken, prawn and cashew nuts, among other things, sure to catch your fancy. The Pork in Asian Barbecue Sauce was also very delicious and highly recommended, its zingy taste and the choice cuts of pork it contained, much like the starter we had, was worth savouring wholeheartedly. The gravy also combined well with the Mee Goreng. Finally, came the Thai Green Curry, and it was arguably the pick of the bunch, looking like a million bucks. The finely made coconut paste it came in was quite exquisite, and the lemongrass in it made it extremely tangy and zingy. There were eight pieces of fish, and each one was soft and delectable. The whole bill came to ₹ 1360 /- for two people, so it was light on the pocket too. The food was served somewhat lukewarm, but it didn't affect the quality or taste at all. I'd recommend the place strongly, and I can't wait to back there myself as soon as I can.

When I started looking for places to eat dinner the restaurant's name kept coming up and for some reason my friend and I decided to try it. For all the people out there I can honestly tell you- try their food once- you won't regret it!
The actual names of the dishes elude me but the menu has such a large variety that it will take you at least 10-15 minutes to decide what to get. And you can always ask the staff for help- they are super nice and super friendly.
Every item on the dish is authentic to the cuisine and you can choose items from all over Asia.
The quantity is worth the price range and be rest assured that two people will not be able to finish one rice or noodles dish(at least we could not but then I'm a small eater).
For the location, the friendly attitude of the staff and the price quantity ratio I rate the restaurant a 10/10 but for the ambiance I will cut one point. It still needs some finesse to come up to the standard of it's food!!
My final words- go for the food and the friendliness not the looks- you won't be sorry!!
Post Diwali celebration at Asian House with some mouth watering dishes.
⏺️ Spicy Noodles Soup : This is one of the most delicious dish of this place. With noodles egg and chikcen the taste is awesome whereas paprika made the looks.
⏺️ Madras Chicken : This is little dry dish with spicy and tikha feeling. Rosted chicken with green chili and paprika saute with spice give it the prefect taste to try with either rice or noodles.
⏺️ Teriyaki Chicken : This starter will give you the feeling of indochinese food. Chicken fried with sake, mirin and delicated with teriyaki sauce made it a must try dish. It's a Japanese cousin.
⏺️ Dan Dan Bowl : It's a classic Chinese dish. It can be made with either chicken or pork. It comes with a nauty falvour and fragrance of mala flavour. You will taste juicy noodles with finely chopped vegetables.
⏺️ Ban Chow Bowl : It's fusion dish created by Asia House . It is mainly noodles based and you will get two varriant one with tossed posrk and aonther with tossed chicken. Sechuan sauce with garlic flavour makes it yummy.
⏺️ Korean Rice : This dish is rice and noodles base. It is mainly made with beef but here it comes with chicken . Mixture of chikcen and veggie over rice and garnish with chopped green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and a small sprinkling of red pepper flakes makes it delicious.
⏺️ Darsan : With chips and * with vanila toppings makes it a yummy dessert which is a perfct dish to finish this superb menu. Little crunchy and sweet taste you will get in it.

If you are a foodie or a fond of Asian delicacies, then Asia House Kolkata is the right place for you. It is a well known destination for out of the ordinary Asian delicacies. The integrity, honesty and authenticity to the Asia House, Kolkata is just second to none.
Asia House Kolkata is a first rated restaurant in the city. It is a casual dining restaurant which is specialized in various types of Asian cuisines. The place is beautiful as well as simple ambiance. It is perfect for having genuine Asian delicacies with your family or friends. The menus are in line with great tastes and preferences of a wide array of delicious dishes like Chinese, Indonesian, Malaysian, Singaporean, and Thai to name a few.
The Asian flavor is the spine of this restaurant which keeps them fascinating divine food place running. Of late we had visited here and beyond doubt a great time with family and friends. Are you coming?
● Spicy Thai Chicken Soup : If you are crazy about spicy noodle soup, it is the best place to taste. It was really unique and inexpressive taste that we had. The noodle dish as well as chicken in it gave us an appetizer boost. We truly enjoyed the dish.
● Oriental Barbecue Chicken : A great dish that we ever tasted. It was something new to us. It had a tough taste as well as flavor that we never yet licked. When we got the dish our mind was just like eat, eat and eat. The flavor of the ginger in it made it little salty, but yet good enough. It better worked for my friends and family members better than me, because I generally not that much fond of ginger, if the flavor of salt was not that strong it would be my first choice. But yet, it is good to go for chicken lovers.
● Madrasi Chilli Fish : WOW! It is great, but not the Fish coming from Madras, but the taste brings something unique to you, for sure Madrasi taste. You will get wine, vinegar and coriander leaf into the dish with a magnificent fantasy. It is just awesome that I cannot express. The fish was very soft and taste just unparalleled.
Yes, we saw and tasted the chicken ban chow Chicken bowl, dan dan dowl. These are really fantabulous, including the chicken Korean rice, darsan and more. Now the time to taste what you like, because we have liked many things that may not be liked by you, but better suited to your friends and family members. But I must that the ambience of the place is just Cool! That I lived it. Visiting a food court is not just about eating always, but the place should be charming and that I have enjoyed a lot. Are you ready to go and lick your finger? Do not waste time, come with your friends or family or even your partner can be. Enjoy. Overall, my experience was great and I would love to recommend this everyone. Thank you Rajdeep Bhattacharjee (Gourmets Travel Guide) – For leading our food journey and sharing your knowledge. I've been to The Canteen by Asia House twice in the past 8-9 months, and I love the place.
The decor is bright and cheerful, with pretty plants, a big Japanese fan, and pieces of artwork, and they play soothing soft popular English music, for those who care for it!
Coming to the food, their menu offers a variety of Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean and Chinese dishes, alongside beverages and desserts.
Their soups are amazing, and I will vouch for their lemon coriander soup especially. Their appetizers and other dishes are freshly prepared and delicious.
The staff is polite and provide great service.
So far an underrated place, Asia House deserves to be recognised and visited more often.
The quality of the food is awesome.
Also the quantity is huge.
The large bowls are real value for money. We tried the Vietnamese bowl & Korean Bowl. The Vietnamese bowl is a bit spicier & the Korean bowl has a sweet touch to it. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
A very nice place to try out different types of Asian cuisine. The food is tasty and the quantity is also very generous. The staff and service were very good too. We tried a lot of different items and were not disappointed at all. I would also recommend the Mandarin Darshaan with Ice Cream as a must have here.
The perfect balance of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy in dishes like tom yum soup is truly captivating. Thai cuisine's use of fresh herbs and aromatic spices creates a symphony for the senses. After a hectic day thought of ordering some Thai dishes so ordered Tom Yum Soup and Thai Krapao Bowl Non Veg. Really awesome in taste, worth in price, great in taste and quantity, so would highly recommend.

I recently ordered from Asia House. The packaging was quite good.
Cuisines include Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Sri Lankan, Chinese, Thai, Indonesian and Malaysian ordered from them recently! 😍
I ordered-
• Crisp Fried Wontons veg
• Chef’s late night bowl (chicken)
• Beijing old market’s roll
• Tom Yum Soup
•Thai Krapao Bowl (Chicken)
Amazing flavourful Thai Bowls! Love how the chicken tastes. Also, the quantity was enough for one. They tastes so good.
One of the best restaurants with asian cuisines I have tried so far. Be it the quality and quantity of the food items/ingredients used or services and behaviour from the staff, everything was top notch. Definitely going to visit again soon
It is a cute restaurant located on Lake View Road. The service is very good despite one person attending most of the time. Food is served promptly and quite hot and good in taste. Atmosphere was nice with contemporary English songs playing. Decor was good but flooring could have been better. Overall it was a nice experience.
A good end to a tiring day means a delicious dinner to me. So Canteen by Asia house is my first choice. I ordered Tom Yum soup and Thai Krapao Chicken bowl. Both of them were good in quantity, and taste was top notch. I enjoyed my dinner to every bit!
I went for an afternoon lunch. It was completely empty I was the only customer. It was cool and calm inside, things were placed neatly, they started light soothing music, it was a great place to be in. I ordered their speciality dishes a noodle dish, a dumplings dish and a glass of fresh lime, and got served on time. The food was delicious, loved every bit of it. The staff members were well mannered and great with their services.
An awesome place to eat some tasty Asian food. They have a multitude of items to choose from.
I ordered some of their specialities , and they were really good. I am really bad at remembering the names. But I will describe them as mych as possible.
Mamas bowl dumplings, which were steamed momos covered with a hot and sweet gravy.
A sweet Lemonade with gondhoraj ,asian spices and ginger.
A non veg appetizer called Takri with lemon leaves, star anise, bell pepper.
The place is very vibrant and has an aesthetic encompassing South East Asia.
Must visit place in Southern Avenue.
