I really loved what I had here. The Food, especially the Kebabs and the Biryani were highlights of the place. The Biryani itself, including the one which is their Speciality, was really well-executed, the latter being a somewhat new yet intriguing experience. For drinks, I only had their Mango Lassi, it was pretty good if not the absolute best. Recommendations would be Jugalbandi, Lucknowi Seekh Kebab, Naushiijaan Biryani, Handi Biryani, and Firni.

Overall average place to sit and dine out. The special mention goes to the mutton dishes. The ultra tender mutton pieces was a treat to the taste buds. All food items were above average but the paratha needs special attention as it was not quite upto the mark. One more draw back of this place is its ambience. People would doubt a place like that because its low quality decors which generally do not match with the lucknowi style of nababs. The music was also bit of horrifying too.😅😅

Naushijaan is one of those places where you get the authentic taste of Lucknow. From their amazing lucknowi paratha to their amazing galawti kebab and handi biryani, their food is absolutely amazing to say the least. We tried the Lucknowi paratha which is very thin and soft, and the galwati kebab with that. In the main course, we had the mutton handi biryani and the chicken bharta, which were amazing. Loved the overall experience.
The spinach biriyani here is very good but the delivery time in the restaurant is very much.
The gelauti kebab and lucknowi paranthas also taste good.
A mughlai joint near Nabapalli stopage on the Rashbehari connector. Though the look isn't impressive enough but afterall looks are deceiving. Love their mouth watering Moti biriyani, melt in the mouth Kebab platter. If you love mughlai you should give this place a try.

Naushijaan has definitely become quite a popular restaurant in the city as they serve some of the finest dishes of awadhi cuisine. Infact they were the first ones to introduce awadhi cuisine and especially tunday kebabs in Kolkata. The restaurant has an ambience and decor inspired from the Mughal era. The staff are also very humble and quite fast at their service. Coming to the amazing meal we had-
For starters we ordered
*Mutton Burra kebab - The irresistible Mutton Burra Kebab is a Mughlai recipe made with mutton and is a true delight for meat lovers. These mutton chops had a unique smokey flavour in them. The tender meat had abundance of spicy and savory flavours which is hard to resist.
*Lahori Kebab - It was definitely one of my favourite dishes among the spread. Thin chicken slices rolled with seasoned and spiced chicken mince, resembling a sort of kebab version of a swis roll, is cooked in a tandoor. The meat was perfectly cooked and was tender.
For the main course we had to go with biryani but it was a bit difficult choice as they offer a wide variety of biryanis (15 to be specific). After some deliberation we settled for Chicken Parda biryani. A mix of basmati rice and chicken with a spicy masala base layered together in individual sealed earthen pots with rolled out flour dough is cooked to marry all these beautiful flavours together. The biryani was cooked to perfection as the meat was tender and succulent and the rice had the right amount of moisture.
Along with the biryani we also had Chicken Handi Quorma which a mildly spicy side dish with a host of flavours and complimented the biryani very well. Meanwhile we ordered Masala Chaanch and Mango Lassi for some refreshment, both of which were really yum.
Ending the scrumptious feast on a sweet note we had-
*Firni - A chilled firni set in an earthen bowl had the perfect amount of sweetness and consistency.
*Shahi tukda - As literally the name suggests it was definitely a "Royal" dessert. Mildly sweet syrup soaked fried bread is served with rabri and is topped with some chopped cashews. I highly recommend this dish on your next visit there.
Overall I really enjoyed my visit and look forward to my next.

Few days back I had visited their Kashba outlet.
Staffs here are courteous.
I had:
Masala chaanch- It is basically spiced buttermilk. Main ingredient is yogurt. Taste was good.
Mango lassi- It was thick and well prepared and perfect for summer days and a mango lover.
Mutton burra kebab- Mutton ribs marinated in different spices and then grilled. Mutton was so tender and the taste was too good( RECOMMENDED)
Lahori chicken- Minced seasoned chicken wrapped within grilled chicken and served with onion rings and green chutney. (Recommended)
Chicken parda biriani- A mix of basmati rice, different spices with marinated chicken and egg cooked in dum within a earthen pot with a layer of roti covering it. It was not tasted as regular chicken biriani,it was so light and with an earthen flavour.(RECOMMENDED)
Chicken handi quorma- Chicken cooked with different spices and ghee.(RECOMMENDED)
Firni-It was good and not too much sweet.
Shahi tukda- One of their best desserts.Do try this.(RECOMMENDED)

Food review :- The food was awsome. It was one of the best mughlai food I ever had. Drinks were awesome, especially Mango Lassi. Kebab Items were so good and the chicken and the mutton were so soft and juicy. It was well cooked. For mains the biriyani was the star of the show. With that The quorma went very well. For dessert The firni was good but the Shahi tukda was the best.
Price :- Price was affordable.
My recommendation :- I would recommend their kebab dishes and biriyani and the shahi tukda is must. You will surely enjoy the food with the ambience.

1) MUTTON HANDI BIRYANI - One of the best biryani I have ever tasted.. With a typical earthen smoky flavor and a strong ghee smell. The mutton pieces are good in size.
2) MUTTON BHUNA - The gravy was spicy with a very different taste.. Goes very well with biryani. The pieces are not up to the mark though.
Definitely a must try.

Naushijaan is one of my go to go place whenever I crave for Biryani and Kebabs. The best thing about Naushijan is, they have shown their uniqueness in the menu by coming up with their own special items that amaze me all the time.
*Mango Lassi and Normal Lassi (4.2/5) - The Lassi was thick and refreshing but it could have been bit sweeter.
*Jugalbanddi Kebab (4.8/5) (Recommended) - It looks like Swiss roll. Basically boneless chicken is flattened and rolled with minced Mutton, mixed with spices, marinated with curd and then bar b qued. It tasted amazingly good.
*Lucknow Chicken Seekh (4.4/5) - Four soft flavourful Seekh Kebabs were served with green chutney.
*Lucknow Mutton Chaap (4.2/5) - Minced Mutton in spicy dry gravy went well with the soft Parathas.
*Naushijan Keema Biryani (4.5/5) (Recommended) - Have you ever imagined Biryani made with spinach? No right? Neither did I. But naushijaan has proved us wrong and nailed the dish. The Biryani is cooked with small chunks of chicken pieces blended with spinach. The Biryani can be enjoyed without a side dish also. This is one of their own special items.
*Chicken Handi Biryani (4.2/5) - The taste was like normal Kolkata Biryani cooked in an earthen pot.
Ended the meal with Phirni (4.8/5) and Sheer Khurma (4.5/5). Both the desserts were amazing and I couldn't stop myself to finish all of them. Must try desserts of Naushijan.

This sombre and elegant restaurant makes it's mark as one of the oldest places in Kolkata to introduce the actual Awadhi cuisine. This has an old-school darbari approach to it, with a touch of royalty including dimly-lit interiors, and fine classical folk music playing in the background.

➡️Jugalbanddi: This wholesome kebab comes in a mushy texture of an exterior thick chicken rolling followed by suave mutton fillings. This is soft and exquisite in all it's glory. Definitely a must try!
➡️Lucknowi Chicken Seekh: This oblong kebab with a brownish texture is delightfully spicy and goes well with the Pudina chutni.

➡️Lucknowi Mutton Chaap with Parathas: Unlike the delicacy around Bengal which comes in a rich gravy with sumptuos oil, this is a dry preparation, it melts in the mouth, goes well with the paratha, however there's some bone pieces lingering around and can be looked into.
➡️Naushiizaan Keema Biryani: The Biryani is cooked for long hours, and it consists of spinach blended with chicken minces offering the authentic Awadhi touch.
➡️ Chicken Handi Biryani: Richly prepared, comes with the regular potato, egg and Chicken, this is very fulfilling and a joy to devour.

➡️Phirni: The firni is delicate and soft, yet firm. This is just the right deal of sweet and yellow and makes for the perfect dessert.

🔸Jugalbandi : This was my favourite dish that I tried there! Minched mutton wrapped in Chicken, the chicken was real soft & juicy.

3. Lucknowi Mutton Chaap - Shredded Mutton cooked in Gravy made from Indian Spices - this was pretty spicy, but still a good side. Had slight crumbled bones in it though, do look into that.

1. Naushiijaan Keema Biryani - Biryani cooked w/ minced Chicken and shredded Spinach, interesting take indeed. It turned out to be a stunner - personal favourite, must try

All in all, I really had a good experience at this place. The Food, especially the Biryanis & Kebabs were really great. Recommended from my end.
Many times we have picked up food from the kasba outlet, have always found the staff to be very courteous. Have tried many of their kebabs and the different kinds of biryanis. Yesterday we called for home delivery and despite of rush they agreed to deliver to park circus and it reached on time too. Yesterday we tried their lucknowi mutton chaap with lucknowi paratha on their recommendation. It was very different from the calcutta chaap and did not have any gravy. it was a dry preparation from tawa and was super delicious.
The chicken rara had 2 pieces of chicken with chicken keema in the gravy. The nargisi kofta biryani was equally delicious. And the firni was the best I have ever eaten.

Visited this place a few days ago to try some Lucknowi dishes and here are some of the items that I had.
1.MANGO LASSI.
2.LUCKNOWI SEEKH KEBAB: It came with 4 well cooked kebab with flavourful taste. It was a bit spicy though.The kebabs were soft and tender.

4.PARATHA WITH MUTTON CHAP: All of you must have heard about chicken chap on a regular basis but Mutton chap seems a new thing right?

5.NAUSHIJAAN KEEMA BIRYANI: This one is the special biryani from the house of naushijaan which consisted of egg and chicken keema cooked in spinach gravy. This is really a new concept of biryani for kolkata people but it's one of the famous biryani's of Lucknow. The biryani obviously tasted amazing and to my surprise, the spinach keema gravy actually went very well with the biryani

6.HANDI BIRYANI(CHICKEN ) : This one comes in a matka or handi and it's a Kolkata style biryani and this one' s taste was amazing as well . Only one thing that disappointed me was that the aloo pieces were not completely cooked hence they were very hard to break with spoon and with hands as well.Otherwise it was good.

One of my favourite Biryani places in Kolkata. They serves about 15 different types of Biryani. On my recent visit to this place I tried their Mango Lassi, Chicken Banjara, Chicken Handi Biryani,Mutton Raganjosh and Sahi Tukda. Mango lassi from this place during the summer is a treat to yourself. After that we started with Chicken Banjara which was flavourful, soft and succulent. In the main course we paired Chicken Handi Biryani with Mutton Raganjosh. The Biryani was flavourful and filled with spices and went well with the Mutton Raganjosh. We ended our meal with Sahi Tukda which is a must try from here.
Kebabs, biriyani and main course here is seriously good. Good service and taste. Authentic mughal cuisine is served here. Love it totally....

Naushijaan has made quite a name for itself when it comes to awadhi cuisine..I have had food from their Jadavpur outlet earlier and hence I decided on trying out the Kasba outlet too.. ordered my favourite keema biriyani, Banjara chicken and Mutton Rogan Josh. The food no doubt was good and the portion was optimum for two. We love their food and will keep coming back.

One glance at their menu and you will come across multiple options when it comes to biryanis. The one that stood out for me was their Chicken/Mutton Biryani. This biryani, according to me, gets it absolutely bang on when it comes to the proportion of rice to meat to masala. Fragrant, colourful rice is topped on a bed of chicken along with huge pieces of juicy chicken. It’s far from being the perfect biryani but it surely hits the spot as far as flavor is concerned. The biryani is delicately spiced with pieces of chicken that melt in your mouth. Highly recommended! (Irrespective of the steep pricing).

My friends have been telling me about this restaurant for a ling time. Finally I ordered Mutton biryani via zomato. Let me tell you, this was one if the finest biryani I've ever had till now. Not very oily. Well seasoned. Coming to the mutton, there were 2pieces of mutton. It was very well cooked and it melted in the mouth. The famous biryani aloo was soft. I genuinely like their quality of good. ❤

This place is famous for its Handi Biryani. The Galawti Kebab is not so impressive as much as you'd expect it to be. But no doubt they would get a 3.5/5.
The biryani is no doubt very good. Perhaps the best in this part of the city. You would rather feel better ordering in from this place as the waiters are not so well versed in the menu on offer here. I don't about the condition right now. But last time I had been to this place was about 6 months back and it left me a tad bit disappointed. Our server was busy serving food to the owner.
Their Chanp, Chicken Butter Masala & Tangri Masala on offer are really very good. Though this place serves Mughlai cuisine, their food items are quite less oily contrary to as one would expect.

Naushijaan is one of my favourite restaurants. Their Biryani, kebabs and the Awadhi cuisine is one of its kind. I was here few days back and tried a number of dishes.
• Chicken Kesariya Kebab - The chicken pieces were grilled in a pot. They had a distinct smoky flavour.
• Pathhar Kebab - These are mutton kebabs, beaten and grilled on heated stones. This is an unique cooking technique, which imparted an amazing taste to the kebab.
• Mutton Kofta Handi Biryani - The Biryani was cooked with minced mutton koftas in authentic Awadhi style. It tasted simply out of this world.
• Nargisi Kofta Handi Biryani - The Biryani was cooked with a whole boiled egg which had a minced mutton coating. The Biryani had a beautiful aroma and taste.
• Chicken Mirch ka Salan - Minced chicken was cooked in a chilly based gravy. This wasn't very spicy and it had an unique taste.
• Mutton Rezala - The mutton was soft and the gravy was rich and creamy.
• Stuffed Keema Paratha - The Paratha was very soft and was stuffed with mutton Keema. It went well with the gravies.
• Nolen Gur Phirni - Apart from the flavourful Kesariya Phirni, they have introduced this new and unique Phirni prepared from Nolen Gur. This tasted amazing.
• Shahi Tukra - This was the show stopper. The texture, the flavour, the sweetness were just perfect. This couldn't have been better.
if you love biriyani then this is a place you must visit...and one have to visit several times because in one visit you can take only one kind...
They deserve the 4* only because of the kindness they showed when we turned up at the restaurant at 10.50pm. And ofcourse the food too. Because it was really delicious. Sadly since it was really late, they didn't have many of the dishes. We had Malai Tikka Butter Masala, Tandoori Masala, Lucknowi Paratha, Rumali Roti and Lachcha Paratha. It took sometime to get the our food. But the taste was out of the world. I really enjoyed the taste. Especially the Tandoori Masala. I was literally licking the gravy of my fingers. It was just that good.

If you are looking for a place to have some good Biryani and different varieties of kabab then this place is surely for you. This place is located on the main road near Acropolis Mall. The quality of food over here is quite awesome and tasty.
The dishes we tried here were:
1. Chicken Handi Biryani
2. Mutton Handi Biryani
3. Rumali Roti
4. Mutton Boti
5. Chicken Tikka Masala
There is no way you can complain on the taste of their food but major drawback here is that they have very small accommodation of around 20-25 people at a time. The stuff here are quite humble and friendly.
All over it was a nice experience being here. Do try out their Biryani. You will love it!
The galouti kebabs and the mutton handi biryani I can vouch for in this place. Other things haven’t tried but these two items never go wrong. I have food from here at least once a month and each time I’m a very satisfied customer. must try.
nice and awadi food and i tasted it for lots of time ...i tried last time chicken malai tikka kabab am...i parcelled last time for chicken malai tikka kabab and taste was awesome....must try it....
The food has a uniqueness....briyani with saag it was quite innovative.....the food taste was also good. Not much satisfied with the service....much people was not there still they took a lot of time to serve just 2 biriyani. Overall a good place to have family dinner!!
Fantastic food in one word. Must try in the place is the biryani and galoti kebab with paratha. Staff is extremely courteous. Look out for Buddhadeb. He serves with a smile. Experience to remember. Great job
The location is good. The restaurant is small but cozy. But most of the time, because of the high demand of food here, you've to wait in queue. The service is also very slow.
Coming to the food, it will definitely be among the tastiest Biriyanis served in Kolkata.

While visiting Acropolis Mall , I decided to try biryani from Naushijaan. The place is very near to Acropolis Mall and on the main road. I wanted to to do takeaway as I was in hurry. Ordered Mutton Handi Kebab and a spicy chicken kebab. Service was prompt.
Now regarding food, I really liked the biryani. It was packed in an earthen pot. It was appropriately cooked with spices . Mutton pieces were tender. The biryani was not very oily. Kabeb was a bit spicy but very nicely done.
Overall my experience is very good and I would love to visit the place soon.
