This sweet shop, established in behala tram depot area is really a boon for the ones having a sweet tooth. They serve a variety of sweets, and none of their assorted collections go to vain in terms of taste and deliciousness. They really know their business well.
Pros:
1. Huge variety. You'll love them. You wont return without a pack of sweet from their shop.
2. Taste
3. Price. They have a very moderate price tag. Now to be frank, you will get sweet cheaper than this shop in the areas nearby, but they will never be as good and as savoury.
Highly recommended! Give it a try.
I have grown up eating their sweets and will hopefully grow old devouring them! The way they have maintained the quality of the sweets over the years is amazing. Be it the evergreen roshogolla and sandesh or some new fusion concoction, Panna always hits it out of the park. They never miss to incorporate seasonal flavours in their sweets, be it mango in the summer or nolen gur in the winter. Here, everyone will find a sweet to suit their taste or the occassion they are buying it for.
This is a sweet shop near my house. It is very old and good sweet shop. I have been a loyal customer for so long but now i am writing a review. All the sweets are freshly made and good in taste.

Are you fond of delicious sweets and Kolkata's famous mishti doi? Then Panna sweets must be your go-to-place. This place provides you with a wide range of mouthwatering deserts. Their speciality is mishti doi and chanar sondesh. The mishti doi is mildly sweet and the smooth top layer differentiates it from the other shop's product. The chanar sondesh is soft and very tasty. Bournvita mishti is the most attractive part of Panna Sweets.
The prices are same as any other shop, so it's affordable and pocket friendly.
You'll fall in love once you taste the flavour of the panna's sweets . The mishti doi is to die for, because it's the best I've ever tasted. Sweet tooths definitely shouldn't miss this place.
I am having sweets from Panna since my childhood days. The quality hasnt dropped but it is enhancing day by day. The best sweets include - jolbhora, keshar bhog, sor bhaja, cream chop, dorbesh and varieties of norom paker sandesh. Apart from this, they make one of the best mishti doi in the city. The recent additions are mihidana, dhokla, rabri and baked sweets. Also the singara during early morning and evening sells quicky and is good in taste. Highly recommended.
Behala's most talked and favourite sweet shop, a very old place which sells wide varieties of sweets in an affordable rate. Their gurer sankha sandesh is what I like the most, other than this their sarbhaja n amriti is also pretty famous.
Panna Sweets is a blessing for people residing in Behala, each and every time I tried sweets from this place it was good and it never disappointed me.
Behala’s favourite sweetmeat shop! From Sandesh to Misti Doi to Sor Bhaja to Amriti to Chinese Samosa-Each & every item offered is delicious. It’s a Go-To place for every desserts lover.
Fond of delicious sweets and Kolkata's special Doi ? Then you must not miss out Panna Sweets. The price is same as all famous sweet shops of Kolkata. Panna's speciality is it's Mishti Doi and Chanar Sandesh. The Mishti Doi is perfect, It's not very much sweet. It's has got mild sweetness with smooth layer on top which makes it best from all available Mishti Doi of Kolkata. Chanar Sandesh is soft and very tasty. Bournvita Mishti is the most attractive part of Panna. If you are up for amazing sweets then Panna Sweets must be your call.
I went there just to taste one or two sweets , but after finishing one i spend nearly one hour there ! 😂 Variety of sweets available here and all of these are just 👌
My 94 YO Dadu loves Panna mishti and been eating it since the inception of the place. He would bring them for me when I was a child. I would bring them for Dadu now that I earn :)
Cannot recommend enough the Nolen gurer Sondesh. the chanar jilkpi and gujia are amazing too. If you are new to Kolkata do try Roshogolla. Th eAC shop sells things at a higher price but pretty clean and gives you chance of trying out many things.
I live at behala so panna is a place for sweets from childhood days. Love gurer kolapaturi, gulab jamun, darbesh, sharvaja, kaju barfi, pera, talshas, bonde and the list goes on and on.
Panna is the best sweet shop in Behala. There are ample varieties and most importantly the quality is unquestionable...Apart from sweets the snacks are also very good..
This place is near to Behala Haji Fast Food Restaurant. Awesome quality sweets and varieties. A must visit for sweet lovers. They also have a very newly opened outlet next to the old one.
One of those hyped places that also lives up to the hype. Sweets made the way it should be. One of our family's favorite place for mishti. Definitely 10/10
Since I am based out of North Kolkata, hence, I am able to visit only a handful of outlets in Southern Kolkata. However, having a few friends does help and 1 of my friends arranged Gurer Shankho Sandesh of this place for me and I am pretty glad she did so!
The big guns in Kolkata (Balaram Mallick Radharaman Mallick, Nalin Chandra Das, Ghosh Brothers, Chittaranjan Sweets etc) are obviously the regular favourites but it is indeed heart-warming when an outlet never ever heard of serves mishti of this calibre!
The Sandesh was pretty tasty, soft and delectable - with a kismis topping – a perfect way to celebrate! My friend also informed that this is the best sweet meat shop of Behala and thus, is a must visit place if you are in the area!
Thanks Panna for preparing mouth-watering sweets and will meet you soon for trying more and more! Till then, keep up the good work!
There are many sweet shops in Behala...some serves best Sweet Curd (Mishti Doi) some serves good Rosogolla or Sandesh but one can safely say Panna Sweets is the best sweet shop in Behala.
They have a variety of sweets...I have been tasting sweets from their shop starting from my teens.
Here are some pics of the sweets which are priced around the range or 15-25/- and all are just yummy and they melt in your mouth.
Rating 4.5

Their variety of sweets is unbeatable. Try their gulab jamun, aam doi, mihidana and sandesh. All are just beyond words.
There is a plethora of sweets and savouries to choose from at this place. The sweet curd is a must have. One should visit the new outlet, which has opened right next the earlier one.
So it happened that i got a pack full of Gulab Jamuns (which happens to be my favourite 😋) from this place.

Panna Sweets is located in tramdepot, Behala and is very easy to find as it is known by each and every people of Behala. Panna sweet has an old outlet which was pretty famous in Behala for it's Misti Dahi. All the sweets are also delicious and fresh. Recently beside the old outlet of panna sweets there is another counter of it which has more varities types of fresh snacks and sweets. The place is very clean and air conditioned with friendly staffs.

The best sweet shop in behala comes with great snacks like paneer singara and radhabollobi. If u ever visit this shop never forget to taste the kolapata sondesh- its damn tasty.
Lately, I've been visiting the prestigious sweet shops scattered along the map of Kolkata with a small task of creating the most unique assortment of sweets to send as 'totto'(তত্ত্ব) in my brother's wedding. This has led me from some heritage shops to ones that challenge their place with creative spread. The sweet scene in Kolkata has created controversies and debates for decades but what I can feel deeply throughout this one month hunt is the soul that bridges the holding-onto-the-roots to exploring new flavours. Panna Sweets has been one to have etched its place among the best in South Kolkata for a long time and today's foray into the gluttonous trays can only press the claim more resoundingly.
The richness of the sweets, crusted along the rims with poppy seeds to the ones with almonds tucked between the chewy sweetness, and their texture never ceases to amaze even the staunch traditional sweet lovers. Little bites of heaven and priced quite reasonably when some other shops are taken into consideration, the sweets of Panna can boast right alongside their soft Paneer, which, if I'm being brazenly honest, can even be the best found south of Taratala.
Undoubtedly the best sweet shop in Behala. Even a non sweet lover like me gorges onto their sweets once in a while. The recent ac outlet which they opened is beautiful and pretty large compared to the old outlet. The snacks which are available here are damn good!! Radhabollobi, paneer singara are mind blowing. Paneer cutlet is also good in taste. The best part about panna is their quality, which is unmatchable.
A very good place if you are a sweet lover.. they have a variety of sweets... their sweet quality is very good.. specially the kalakand.... their misti doi is also great
Their sweets are very nice and quite popular among the behala populace... the mango sandesh is worth mentioning with a concentrated mango pulp sitting on its top it is a win win
One of the Kolkata's best sweet shop located at Behala. Quality and taste is still the same as it used to be when I was a kid. They still maintained it. My favorite is Misti Doi and Lebu Sandesh.
A good and popular mishti shop in Behala, on Brahma Samaj Road. We had sweets from there on Ashtami day when we visited the Sonar Durga of Mukherjee Bari, a little further down the road. They had a good variety of sweets, we had variety so sandesh and all were happy, as they were soft and fresh. The taste was good with correct sweetness, not overly sweet.
It seems to be a popular shop with the locals as it was quite crowded.
The best quality sweet shop you can get in Behala. Infact this is one of the best in Kolkata. You get real good quality sandesh. The Mishti doi here is to die for. Also you get singara and khasta kochuri. You need to try a norom paker sondesh with pista on top to get the real taste of the shop. Staffs are very cordial.
Panna is very well known in Behala. Sweets are fresh and tasty. I loved gulab jamun, laddoo and rosogolla. Price is quite cheap. Also located in a prime location on the main road.
I am a regular customer. My family and friends are in love with Panna's sweets. Ghee er bonde, balushai, gorom amitti, sandesh, komola bhog, malai chop, misti doi are among our favourites. If someone comes to Behala, s/he must visit this shop for a delicious sweet treat.
Best among behala.Once I asked them to recommend a sweetmeat fit to take to my in-laws and they recommended bhapa sandesh. It is such a favourite of my in laws now. Do try their mishti doi, sorvaja and chanar jilipi.
This shop is located in Behala Tram Depot near the Tram Depot Market and is one of the best sweet shops in Behala. The sonpapris and mishti doi of this place tastes delightful.
The sweets are pocket friendly and they are tasty.....
Do try the misti doi of this place. And i can assure that you wont regret your decision.
Undoubtedly one of the best sweet shop in the city. It is a known name to all the people of Behala. The Rasgullas here are just awesome. So is there other sweets and snacks.
Panna offers a wide range of sweets and desserts at a reasonable price. It is undoubtedly the best sweet shop in Behala tram depot area.Among the sweets one people must try Sorbhaja,Rasomalai,Sonpapdi,Kaju Barfi and Mihidana.
Panna offers some best sweets. Some of them are:
Gulabjamun stuffed with Pistachio. It's soft and tasty.
Misti Doi (sweetened yogurt) : Tasty and recommended.
Dryfruit laddu: It has cashew, makhana, dates and it is really good.
Raabdi: creamy, soft and supremely tasty.
It is a very good place where various kinds of sweet are available and of good quality. The sweet really tastes very good. This place is very popular.
Panna has been a heritage in behala be it with their oil mill or restaurant or the sweet shop.... looks like the average sweet shop of the locality with a touch high on price but when you take a bite of their servings, you would know why it is so..... excellent quality for our bengali sweetbuds
If you're in Calcutta or anywhere else in Bengal, you're never too far from a sweet shop! Panna is a quite a household name in the Behala area and even beyond. They have their oil mill, a family restaurant, a fast food restaurant and the sweet shop - all within a 200 meter radius.
They have a very wide variety of sweets for all occasions. But I'd recommend their "mishti doi", "mihidana" (seasonal), shwor bhaja and rabri amongst other things.
Don't let the grumpy attitude of the staff turn you off; just focus your attention on the sweets while you're there. During festivals and peak demand, the staff can get really unpleasant which is a sore for such a big brand!
Also they're located on one of the busiest roads in all of Behala; so look around before your step out.
I was born with a sweet tooth nd being a bengali i always used to enjoy all kinds of sweets and this sweet shop is a standard one which have all these. ...it is #reasonable
#delicious
#goodquality
Nd believe me just try I'm sure u would love it ☺
A Very Much Standard Sweet Shop near Tram Depot. A customer since 1998. Each and sweetmeat is awesome. Special mention their Misti Doi and Aata Sandesh.
Panna sweets has been my favourite since childhood. They offer you a variety of delicious sweets and snacks that taste awesome! My favourites are roshogolla, Rabri, singara, gajar jalea, sondesh and shorbhaja. It is a much try for those settled in behala
Probably the most famous sweet shop in Behala. Quite a standard place, frequented by all and sundry in the Behala/ Joka/ Taratalla area. Been going there for ages. Draws sizeable crowds throughout the day, which speaks volumes about is acceptability and credibility. I suggest you visit once, if you are in the area.

Every sweet in this store is very good to eat, especially yogurt. I ate sweets from their branch. However, the price is a little higher, but the quality of the sweets, the size is also very good, in a word, the price is also high, but the quality of things is also very good. All I would highly recommend is to eat and feed sweets from here.
Sweets so good, yummy. Variety special mishti / sweets. White rosogolla good but not so far but otherwise 👍
Ordered in a weekday evening. Came from a faraway location, but it was worth it. Ordered via Zomato
Dhokla(8/10): Got 12 pieces of it. Good size, juicy and fresh. Topped with coconut, curry leaves and mustard seeds. Tasty and worth it!
Kaju Barfi(9/10): Very good. Perfectly sweet and holds it's shape.
Sugar-free Sondesh(5/10): This is simply paneer. Generally sugarfree sweets contain some artificial sweetness, but this is simply paneer/chenna. Not worth the Rs 18 a piece, could have got paneer itself. I actually made a paneer dish with this instead of eating the paneer.
Good packaging.

This place has a variety of sweets and snacks. The taste and quality are good according to the price. The radhavallabhi is great, it's a must try.
One of the most Reputed and old sweet shop of Behala. Some sweets that I personally like most are kalakand ,gaja, chanar barfi, kaju barfi, malai chomchom and their Sandesh and mishti doi. I also like their singara, dhokla( very juicy and soft) and radhaballavi. Almost every sweets are tasty but a little overpriced.
I had ordered yesterday...Misti doi(250gms),2pcs Chanchal and 2pcs milkcake..loved it...want to order in near future..
All the sweets is very good quality. Specially the Aam Doi is the best
