I went to Bhojohori Manna to try this simple yet lovely Bengali thali.
I tried the Poila Baishakh menu (thali) here. So I would say according to the price the food quality and quantity was really good. Ambience is also nice. You can try this place for bengali food experience!!
Bhojohori Manna is my all time favourite. They serve extremely delicious bengali cuisine at a reasonable price. They have many outlets in kolkata. Lastly I visited their Shyambazar outlet. I tried there Golda Chingri Malai Curry, Pulao, Chicken Dakbunglow and Handmade Rotis. The ambience and staff services of this restaurant are also very good.
It is a pure bengali cuisine that reminds own kitchen taste. Taste, ambiance, quantity and pricing will definitely satisfy your taste bud. It is quite high priced restaurant but it worths money....
Bhojohori Manna is well known for is bangali-ana. This outlet is located near Manindra college, shyambazar. *Atmosphere is too good.the staffs were polite. *In frame : BASATI PULAO and CHICKEN DUCKBANGLOW The quantity of both items were upto the mark and the taste of both items were delicious. BASANTI PULAO was very good in taste , it was sweet and then CHICKEN DUCKBANGLOW was a bit spicy which has nice aroma in it।। Those are the best combos।। Highly recommend।। I am sure you will love it
The name itself illustrating bangaliyana where you will get the feeling of having Home food.. it's having a reasonable price and you'll love the quality as well as the quantity . I had ilish Kalia and I loved it .
Went for Saptami lunch with family. As expected it was crowded. Still their service was smooth and the saptami lunch buffet was pretty delicious which included mutton kosha, chingri malaikari and doi katla alongwith rice dal and mocha ghonto. Except the mutton which was very spicey to our choices, all other items were fantastic. Good staff behaviour was also appreciated considering the huge crowd load.

Beautiful ambience and delicious Bengali cuisine at its best... Great interior inside & very clean restaurant. It has many unique Bengali food items, which you usually don't find in many places.
We had Chingri Cutlet & Pomfret Fry in the starters, both the items were fabulous. In main course we started with Sada Vaat alongwith Chitol Macher Muitha, Sorshe Ilish & Chicken Dakbangla. Each and every item was superb, not at all pungent. The gravy of each item was tasty and very nice to eat with vaat.
Overall a very good place to have your Bengali meal. Go and enjoy the beautiful food! ☺️
if you want traditional bengali food then you should visit BHOJOHORI MANNA....from veg to non-veg all dishes are available here....this is not a pocket friendly restaurant and it is very crowded during durga puja

Everyone must visit this place its good but before that just verify by calling them that whether you dish is available or not.
I have gone there for the first time and the ambience was very good. I have ordered Fish fry and Fish fingure as starter and they were too good ! Also in the main cource I have ordered Bengali polao and Chicken Duckbanglo they are delicious. Wish to visit the place again !

There will be a very small percentage of people of Kolkata who haven't heard of BHOJOHARI MANNA. Had a great day with quality food, but pity that I missed crab curry. The Dhoka'r Dalna was very tasty and just upto that notch. In my personal opinion the food is a bit costly.

The ultimate place for satisfying ur bengali foods satiety.
A very well decorated and clean place with appropriate lightings and very well behaved aoft spoken staffs who know how to satisfy customers.
We were two and had ordered two plates of basmati rice , two dhoper chop ( mochar chop) , dal , kochu chingri , pabda , daab chingri and bhetki paturi.
The bhetki paturi needs improvement if we compare to other standard bengali dishes.
Otherwise a memorable outing.
Would love to come back again.

Place : very near to shymbazar 5point croosing towards sovabazar .
Ambience was very neat and clean .. beautiful decor like home in North calcutta ..
We went their for having lunch . And totally we had a great lunch .. we took 3 plate plain rice (full), daab chingri (jumbo) and mutton dakbanglow .
Each and every dish was totally 'lipsmacking' . But one thing their quantity was too much low as per their price .. but they can impress you by their quality food .. one full plate rice was perfect for one person .
Daab chingri was excellent .. had one piece jumbo chingri cooked in coconut water , chunks of coconut and special spices and served in daab .. cooked perfectly ..
And showstopper was mutton dakbanglow .. mutton was perfectly cooked in their special gravy and had fried egg .. mutton gravy was just outstanding .. had 3pieces of soft mutton .. (recommended)

Nice bengali food. We had mutton and polao both were good and one big combo which was also good. Behaviour of the staffs were also very well. Ambience also good.
The much awaited visit to this place was very curious to taste their food. Though they had no options of food in the menu it was either a veg thali or a non-veg thali for the puja rush. The quantity and quality of the food was perfect they had kept everything in the thali for a perfect meal. Was very delighted to have it.. must say their Golda chingri was just awesome keeping there standards high inspite of the high demand. This is how you make a good name for your restaurant rest of the food was also perfect and the thali could be shared between two people 😊😍

It's all about bangaliana. A must try place for bengali food. But the restaurant is not too big. I loved the dashami thali last year but getting in is tough as the line is too long. But no compromise in taste. I have been there later as well and loved the food.

I visited this outlet just today. This was my first visit in any of the outlets of Bhojohori Manna. The ambiance was nice. Cool and calm. Atendents were good and very polite. And the dishes! Wow there were really mind blowing. Ordered for Maxi Thali and Chicken Dukbunglo. For two people the amount of food was good enough (a bit excess if i am not getting biased)! The items were delicious and well prepared. Hope to visit soon again

Located exactly 1min walking from shyambazar five point crossing.... Towards central avenue.
The moment you enter the property... It speaks about BANGALIANA. And the interior decor is also very sober.
The prices are bit high compare to other reputed restaurants in North Kolkata.
But the taste of the authentic bong foods wont upset you. It tastes to pure and traditional. And the staffs are also well behaved and welcoming.
I went there during last year's puja shopping. Very good ambience. Good food quality, polite behaviour. Definitely I will visit again. Tasted ilish bhapa , mocha chingri and mutton duckbunglow as special dish.
Basically it is a late review. Went there may 19th 2018. As food lovers and continuous seatching for authentic bengali food we were there with a huge expectation. This restaurant maintain its good will since many years and we were totally mesmerized with its tasty food. We ordered basanti polao, doi mach, and dhokar dalna, half plate vej polao.
All dishes were so yummy and worth every penny.
Staffs were polite and ready to help.

it is situated at the 1st floor of a building near shyambazaar metro station.
👍 inside is well furnished and highly maintained.
staffs ware courtesies but somehow i feel that they are not good at their work.
👎we ordered mini thali.they told me sukto is a compulsory item in thali but menu card shows sukto is not included in mini thali & also we didn't get it. they even didn't ask me for the choice of vegetable,instead they served the vegetable according to their choice.
◆mini thali includs luchi,cholar daal with small pieces of coconut ,alur dom,aloo/begun vaja (fried potato/bringel..etc),rice,doi potol,aam er chatni,papar,misti doi.with this we took mutton duck bangla,aam pora sorbot & baked rasogolla.

Please try Bhetki Paturi and Mutton Jhol. All items are too good. I think the word বাঙালিয়ানা is synonymous to the restaurant. I got the flavour of the dishes cooked by my mother.
Food quality as at par with the restaurants of the same kind. Nothing special about it. Interior is quite beautiful with oldish chandelier and lights. Prices could be decreased.
The best place i have visit it is pocket friendly not only that the ilish bhapa and the chingi (lobster's) are the best delicacy ever you had in this outlet must try here
If u r coming to kolkata and u want to feel the bangaliyana, u have to come to bhojohori manna.Apart from postor bora to bhetki paturi,,,from chanar dalna to basanti polau... they serve an authentic pure Bengali food.Nolen gurer icecream was a must try for a dessert lover.
OMG... Awesome food I've ever never teste it before.... We ordered 2plate plain rice 1plate basanti Polaw, 1plate vetki paturi, 1 rui machar torkari, 2 plate chanar dalna (highly recommend) and 2 plate mix sabji... But the space was too small.. But never mind... We will definitely go to the next time... Definitely recommend for families...

Nolen gurer ice cream is quite sporadic on April but suddenly they server it. Dukbanglow chicken and mutton are quite delicious with thali. Main course is good but chatni is far better than the expectation.
I was not a big time bengali cuisine fan until I walked into it. The food was just too good. Walk in with a bengali friend who can decode all the bengali food nomenclature and when the order comes up, you'll love just everything.
I had a home delivery order. The non veg chicken item was great, but the veg items lacked flavor.
Also there was much lesser gravy in the main course items.

Bhajohori Manna is to Bengali food what Sukiyabashi Jiro is to Japanese food . This is the only restaurant in India that serves high class authentic Bengali food .
And BM's talisman is the Ilish .Like the sashimi cooking Ilish takes years to perfect . At BM it is perfect .The freshness and size of the fish , the texture , the cooking - the way a little coconut balances the mustard , the art that comes into retaining the softness of the fish - what is placed on the plate is virtuoso . The prawn comes a very close second. Then there are Bengali vegetarian delicacies - almost impossible to find in restaurants - Jinghe posto , lau ghanto , mocha - each dish is prepared as it would be in a cultured Bengali home receiving a special guest .
You dont notice the cooking medium unlike in almost all Indian restaurants .The flavour of the vegetable is highlighted .You can taste the ridgegourd and the poppy seeds - thats special .
Then there is the delightful Dak Bangla .Meat cooked with just the right amount of spices NOT FLOATING IN OIL . Succulent and delicious .In Mumbai I ate patishapta . Again , miraculously , it was just like my grandmother made it and my mother makes it .For the first time you pay for it and eat it without waiting to be invited to a home . For those who dont understand Bengali it is a crepe with coconut sweetened with organic date sugar or palm sugar . It is special .On Nabomi day the thala had the Ilish , an exquisitely subtle chcholar dal , a classical cauliflower and pea curry , the mutton and the prawn - all exquisite .But that Ilish rates a Michelin star.At Rs 825 it was a bargain .

It was basically a thali package consist of Rice,Pulao,Chanar Dalna,Bhetkir Jhal,doi ilish,Mutton,Papar,Sweets,Misti Doi and Pan.
Specially I want to mention the Bhetki and Ilish.Both were too good.
The decor of the Restro was very good.It will be nice if they looks after the decor of the Foods also.

I'm a big fan of this brand as I love the smell and taste of authentic bengali cuisines. Unlike the other over crowded and small outlets of Bhojohori manna, this is much spacious and well decorated one. One will feel the perfect bengali ambience over here. It's a good place to treat non-bong friends to let them savor the perfect taste of Bengal. Vetki-paturi, pulao, mutton bakbunglow and nolengur Er ice cream are the must try items.
I went there for several times. At first their food quality was very good. Be it mutton or egg or hilsa or anything like that. Was too good. As there was no such authentc bengali restrnts then, it was the only option which was value for money.
But as nowadays several authentic bengali restrnts r there, they are giving tough compititions. And acc. to me, now quality wise the price is not okay, means u can get much bttr qualty food at this price. Its a bit stuffy too.
Still its a nostalgia!! For that reason it cn be visited.......

I have visited the place before when it was known as Sudipas Rannaghor.The food is good enough and delicious but the quantity is quite less staffs are well mannered and friendly. So overall it's good.

Anewys the food we ordered were bhetki paturi,chicken duckbunglow,chicken dhania jhol,Bengali pulaw,prawn,chicken kebab and for the desert was nolen gurer icecream.Damn,the taste of the Aam pora sorbot still lingers in my tongue.

This place definitely serves authentic Bengali cuisine. I've uploaded only the picture of chingrir chop as I was so hungry that I forgot to take the pictures. I tried polao, aloor dum, chicken kosha, porota, luchi etc. and all the items were perfect taste wise. But they do not always have all the items available from the menu so you might not get some items that you wanna try. The same happened with me too. But overall it's alright to enjoy some family time having Bengali food at an authentic restaurant. But the prices are definitely very high.

A few days back I went there to have kasha mutton but I ended up ordering mutton dakbanglo and it was just the way i wanted, red semi gravy, lip-smacking and tender mutton pieces. also had fried rice n bhetki kalia. staff was courteous n suggestive. finally saved a little room for their famous nolen gurer ice cream. n now it became my favourite ice cream flavour.

Bhajohari Manna is one of the best known places for traditional Bengali food. We visited their Hatibagan branch. They serve a wide variety of fish and other Bengali dishes and prices were reasonable. The taste of the foods were good if not exceptional, all the foods served were fresh specially the fish items. But they don't serve any non veg thali for dine in, but take away option is available.
Really liked their dishes.... Specially the sukto and lau chingri... price is a bit high

It's better not to compare with any other restaurants cause Bhojohori Manna itself is an unique brand of Bengali foods. Each and every items are more than delicious. And their service is very efficient. Staffs are humble and well behaved. They consider your needs and deliver the orders properly.

Bhojohori Manna,the restaurant inside Star theatre Hatibagan, north Kolkata, went for lunch myself my brother Rana and driver Papu yadav. All the menu item are not available beside all of us can't have mutton polau, one plate they had it was the last, other two pwan polau , with that dish all of us order boneless chicken korma,taste good both of plates and both types of polau but quantity is not enough at least 25% much rice is needed in polau because it is main course and there price is not humble, okay for good quality restaurants those who use to serve ample food stuff.However tasty food.I rate this restaurant 7/10 .(seven out of ten) in my personal judgement. Good but not outstanding .

Visited there for having authentic Bengali cuisine. We tried its signature dish daab chingri. It was good like I enjoyed it. It was sweet as expected. Also you will find lots of verities in fish curries. Must try its dessert mango doi which was so creamy and delicious.
'Bhojohori Manna' Hatibagan outlet is pretty busy at afternoon. We are wait approx 30mins above .
The Food is Really nice Specially the "Vetki Vhapa" I really enjoy it."Mutton kosha" is better than "Mutton Jhol" . But as a Bengali We expect the "Aalu chips vaja" should be more quantity.
The service and the stuff behaviour is really nice . They maintaining their hygienic really great.
