Putiram is one of the heritage Bengali sweet shop of vintage Kolkata. We tried Misti Doi there, it costs Rs 28/- for 100gm of it. The taste of the Doi was really unbeatable to any other famous classical Sweet shops around Kolkata. If one visits College Street, Misti Doi from Putiram is essentially a mandate there. There is seating areas inside the shop but which we found to be absolutely filled up, so we had to wait outside in the bench. Above all it was indeed a great experience at Putiram after a tiring day.

Their crispy wafer radhaballavis are a delightful treat, skillfully blending the crispy texture with a subtle hint of sweetness in the cholar dal filling. Visited after a long time and found the same old taste in their mishti doi and rosogolla. No doubt why one of the oldest sweet shops still running strong. And of course... nostalgia overloaded.
