A legendary place – which needs little introduction – you may hardly find a soul in Kolkata who has not relished their Paw Bhaji – atleast once in their life - Mayaram Restaurant based in Theatre Road!
This time however, we decided to act offbeat – and ordered their Chana Bhatura instead of the regular Paw Bhaji – and our amusement was no different!
A couple of decently packed bhaturas were served along with their semi dry semi gravy chana as well as minimal amount of onions and pickles!
Taste – as expected was nice although, we feel that garlic and oil content could be moderated in the chana! Decent quality, decent quantity, acceptable pocket pinch and decent food presentation are their other pros ……
Overall, an experience in line with the expectations!

You get instant food here ! Good place to go when you're very hungry and need food as soon as possible . The price is quite cheap . Open till midnight , famous for it's sodas and paan !
One of the best place to have Pav Bhaji in Kolkata. Do try masala pav bhaji and end your feast with either a gola or chikoo kulfi!
Being a Calcuttian, I regret that I havent visited this place earlier... The food quality here was superbly amazing😍❤...Even my words are short, the food was that amazing..100% recommended place..Must go n try its Special Paw Bhaji..Honestly, they dont invest much in presentation, so the food was simple looking, but it tastes fabulous❤
It's always a go to place for a quick tasty bite during or after office hours. Love the fact that it delivers even before time. Dosa and pav bhaji are just irresistible here.

This place in Lord Sinha road is highly recommended for its very famous Pav Bhaji. The Pav Bhaji is commendable n very impressive.
I also had Mango kulfi there, which they give inside a mango. That also was very cool!

Got this suggestion as a Pav Bhaji place in Kolkata so decided to try it out one evening after office. The Pav Bhaji was definitely very unique and it had different flavours. It was very freshly prepared as well. Definitely a recommendation for local outlets to try in Kolkata!
Loved their food as a first time visitor. Their pav bhaaji really is scrumptious and worth every penny. The waiters there were also exceptionally friendly and cheerful. It's a very busy congested small resteraunt too so avoid going at office leaving hours. Do try their fried rice and chilly paneer!
They can improve on the hygiene of the place big time though.
I have been a fan of their paw bhaji ever since i remember. And it had been literally 2 whole years since i didnt have this amazing dish and one fine day when i was craving for this i was lucky enough to find this store doing home deliveries and instantly ordered for it. The taste was as good as it used to be. And im in love with their paw bhaji.

Deviating from ordering Mayaram's signature Pao Bhaji, ordered Cheese Sandwich and Dahi Chat. The preparation was simple but was good enough to qualify as comfort food on a rainy evening. Special instructions were also followed.

Pav bhaji-Bread was of average quality but the bhaji was very very good bit oily n the content of butter was very high with a very good blend of spices quantity was average at the price point of only 150..
Chuski-aha perfect way to beat the heat this summer must order if you visit here n they only charge rupees 30-45......they use very high quality syrups as it tasted very good.....

Had a serious paw bhaji craving and turned up here, appetites roaring at the smell of melted butter.
Zero ambience, zero frills restaurant. Serves amazingly melty, tangy, buttery paw bhaji though (it tastes amazing even when cold) I ordered their Mixed Chuski and it was so brilliant too. Their special paw bhaji is worth skipping the diet.
Points docked for the shabby environment and the hovering waiters , who keep waiting on you to finish food and linger for you to tip them.
Their special pav bhaji is a must try.
Ambience is ok..space is large..you can get noodles,pav bhaji, dosa, lassi, chola bhatura , almost everything.
The pav bhaji was very good.. Must say one of the best in kolkata!

A good old joint for Paw Bhaji lovers near Shakespeare Sarani. It's a totally veg outlet.
Had Special Paw Bhaji along with Soda Sikanji . Both were nice in taste.
They will give you a sufficient portion of 'Bhaji' for 4 pieces of Paw(s). 'Bhaji' comes with lemons and chopped onions( optional).
A nice place to visit and time pass with Family and Friends.
The famous Paw bhaaji wala which moved on from Victoria Grounds after it was banned by the army to present place.I won't say it is the best but it's not bad either.Go for ordinary Paw bhaaji because Special Bhaaji is very Oily/ Buttery and rich . Give a try.

Special paw bhaaji is quite rich & spicy so I would recommend regular bhaaji for everyone overall it's street food served in premium manner

Mayaram is quite a popular place. They are best known for their pav bhajis. It's a steps towards AC Market on the opposite side of Shri Shikshayatan college. Completely vegetarian, serves delicious food and lassi that doesn't burn a hole in your pocket. Food is worth the price. Staffs are courteous and the ambience is also decent.

Located just beside Lady Gaga, near A.C. Market,Theatre Road. This place has been hyped too much by my friends. So I thought of paying a visit.
It is a place that can accommodate around 20 to 30 people.
The crowd is decent enough. Staffs are very friendly. Wait time for the food is around 10 mins.
We ordered :
1. FRIED MOMO. - Rs.60
2. MASALA DOSA. - Rs. 70
3. THUMBS UP. Rs. 25 (while the Mrp was Rs. 18)

The taste was pathetic. Nothing like what a fried Momo taste. It was just deep fried in tons of oil. HORRIBLE IT WAS.

As a Rs. 70 dosa the size was small. Taste was amazing. A Perfect blend of spices. I really liked it.

The idea was to have a fruit juice and leave. But the pav bhaji was tempting so ordered one for myself. I ordered special pav bhaji. It was soaked in butter, the fillings was floating in melted butter and I am not used to such of butter. Could only have half of the bhajji. Else it was a nice food stop. Next time I will order something else from their menu.
Mayaram's popularity dates back ages. Anyone who has studied in schools and colleges in and around Shakespeare Sarani has visited the place for sure. The vegetarian options are good, but stick to traditional Indian food. Pizzas and the likes usually don't suit my pallette here, and i personally feel the quantity is much less compared to the price.
I tried mayaram for the very first time and it's worth visiting. Heaven for vegetarians and pocket friendly.

I have been hearing about Mayaram's Paw Bhaji from my uncle since childhood..
Uncle often used to tell me that once you Paw Bhaji here, you will forget all the previous Paw Bhajis..
But to be honest, I'm not that much of a Paw Bhaji lover..
But today, while passing through Lord Sinha Road, Mayaram came into our views..
As soon as I saw the shop, I remembered the words I heard from my uncle and entered without thinking anything..

Ordered both the Regular and Special variants. The special one has some additional flavours and is decorated with cashew nuts. But the Regular one seemed more value for money.
And the buns! They were the softest I've ever seen. A mild touch of Ghee elevated its taste to a whole new level. Definitely try if you are around!
Budget eatery operating for more than 40 years, on Lord Sinha Road, near Rabindra Sadan crossing.
Was always famous for Pao Bhaji and Kulfi.
Ordered a Special Pao Bhaji. The Bhaji was perfectly spiced, lots of chopped vegetables sautéed in butter, cashews. Was served with two Paos, each sliced in half. Very tasty.
Also ordered a Sitaphal Kulfi. Was served in small pieces, was creamy with the taste of real fruit.
Overall, highly recommended!
If you love pawvaji and you are at Kolkata then you must this place. Vaji is very spicy and good in taste. Over consumption of vaji would make you insane. So careful.
Delicious food, especially the Pav Bhaji is just fabulous. We tried the special pab bhaji and it tasted great, half plate was good for two people with extra pav.
We also ordered Masala Dosa but found it be just average.
Place is popular amongst vegetarians and situated in a prime locality.

Quite a famous joint for the older residents of the city. Was empty on a lazy Sunday afternoon but very busy during the weekdays. Went there to have some kulfi falooda. Had ordered for strawberry, Sita phal and Kesar pista kulfi falooda. Best was strawberry one.
I ordered pav-bhaji.. taste was too good.. best pav-bhaji I ever tested.. liked it..not so costly..

The Paw bhaji people .The best taste which has not changed since years can be found here .Made in pure Amul butter the bhaji is delicious .They serve chinese and south indian dishes as well .No tea on Sundays .It is a known place to all and a favourite eatery with many .Reasonably priced and very friendly staff behaviour wants you to visit again and again .Adding some new dishes wi attract more crowd .
It has the best paw bhaiji i have ever had.Their special paw bhaiji is really special and mouth watering. They have really good staff who bring your order. The steam momo is also one thing that's is amazing that chutney you get with it fabulous. They also have alot of different flavored kulfis. This place has gola with a bonus for gola lovers. Must visit.It is a pure veg restaurant.
