I highly recommend Himachal Khichri with Boondi raita along with some begun bhaja. And it would be a sin, to not try their brown rice firni. The taste is heavenly, the host is very polite and full of great suggestions for what to try. Can't wait to visit again very soon.
This was a long pending place and we are so glad to have made it. We had ordered for a Himachal Khichdi and a masala Khichdi and oh boy! It was such a burst of flavour inside mouth. Special mention goes to the brown rice phirni, for which I am going back to the place definitely. • Bhog er khichdi- khichdi was nice. It was not that much tight , it was a gravy one. Khichdi was full of vegetables. But I didn't like the package. Gravy or juice of the khichdi was all over the plastic . In bhog er khichdi there was 2 roasted papad.
• Aloo dum- Aloo dum was too good. Though it was spicy but I can feel a little sweetness from the aloo dum.

I ordered for the first time from here. I ordered Bhog er khichuri and labra.Along with this I got papad and chutni as complementary. Perfect taste. It was lip smacking indeed. Also loved the way it had been served at earthen pots. Impressive.
I ordered Bhoger khichuri from this place and I was surprised to see that they have sent roasted papad and chatni with the meal. This is really amazing.
Now the food was awesome, the packaging was also neat and beautiful. The portion of the food was enough for one person and the quality was also good. I hope I will order agsin from this place very soon.

For the first time, would not like to start with the food, but its packaging. Lovely and creative earthen pot packaging of almost every item. Be the big bhar of khichdi or the small bhar of chutney, everything was packed awesomely. Now coming to the food, we ordered vegetable masala khichdi.
The meal consisted of a pot of khichdi, a small pot of tomato chutney and papad. A meal full of deliciousness indeed! The khichdi was a little salty and spicy, otherwise, it was full of flavours. The khichdi is sufficient for 1 person and is pretty filling for a major meal. Shall try the other non-spicy preparations the next time there's a craving for khichdi.
Update:
We tried their sprouts salad this time. Sprouts is one of the healthiest food and this bowl of sprouts salad will keep you full for hours. A very well prepared and nutritious dish.
I love their preparations... The Amish Khichdi was yum... So as the Alu Dum, Labra and Payesh... Also tried the Salad Khichdi... Which was completely mind blowing...

Ordered for a achari Khichadi. It was hot, delicious, fresh and spicy. Loved the packaging. It came sealed in an earthen pot which kept it warm and the accompaniments papad and tomato chatni added to the taste of the dish. Will definitely try out other items.
Rice Quality could have been better.
We ordered for Jain food... Ms. MADHU mentioned they use roots in almost all food items they serve... but she made her best efforts to make jain khichdis for us... and it was fantastic..... Thank you so much.... she insisted us to have Firni and we were glad to order it.... as they don't use sugar in their cooking... i think which is 1 of the reason food tasted much better....

I had gone there today to collect the food myself. We had taken Bhooger Kichdi, Aloo Bhaja, Labra and brown rice firni.
The packaging was awesome. All earthen pots, sealed well. They had also given a small amount of chutney in a cute earthen pot, and papad.
All the food tasted well, but the Labra could have been better. Overall a good experience.

Very nice concept...i mean i love the idea of selling just Khichdi to people. Because somedays are meant to for Khichdi. I had ordered Bhoger er Khichuri and the Khichdi Combo. As per the taste it was nice but there is a chance of improvement and it can be made tastier. All the best.

What can I say about this place?
CONCEPT – very unique – more than a dozen types of khichdi, side dishes and condiments delivered to your doorsteps – specially curated, personalized, healthy as well as tasty!
PRICE – Very reasonable, their combos start from 99 bucks and are in general sufficient for 1.
QUANTITY – Fair enough considering their price tag – pretty much suited especially for the office goers who wish to have light sized meals! Obviously, you can’t expect all the khichdi in the world to be served to you when you order a 99 Re combo.
PACKING – I rate them as the best on this count after considering my entire blogging career – the khichdi / payesh / aam chutney is served in earthen pots neatly polished! Their poha / bhaja / papads are served in expensive aluminium foil containers! Even their condiments are served neatly in small pattal plates! They provide you a wooden spoon instead of the cheap plastic ones! Also, the carry bag is made of cloth (and not plastic) with a cardboard beneath to seat the entire combo meal items! Very eco-friendly!
TASTE – So homely, that you don’t feel as if you are missing your home food! I have had some 8 – 9 meals from this place over the past few months and all of them were more of a treat! It is difficult for me to shortlist a personal favourite, but their chutney is something I could gobble down gallons and gallons of which!
Khichdi preparation includes the healthy spices, jeera, neem patta, tej patta, sliced potatoes (on request), boiled red chillies etc – tasty and healthy at the same time!
SERVICE – Commendable – they deliver to time in general and also cater to special requests! I have had telephonic conversations with the lady who runs this kitchen and she is pretty calm and polite! I sincerely pray that the lady running this kitchen gets her due credit for all her hard work and patience!
Overall, this place gets a standing applause from me, multiple and recurring orders and good wishes for success in the future!
Wow, was amazed by a full menu out of khichdi, didn't knew khichdi had these many options. Tried a maa khichdi combo from this place and trust me, no one can beat the packaging of this place. They deliver it straight in a pot along with an earthen lid, tied up with a jute rope.
Coming to the taste, the khichdi was amazing and the payesh was the best I have ever had. Can't wait to try other amazing varieties of khichdi and the payesh being the stagnet at every order.
Amazing destination for gastronomical pleasure. So many variety of Khichdi under one roof. I tried Bhoger Khichdi with Chokha, the taste transcended me to a different world. Every plate you order from here, a portion goes to poor kids. Very noble and thought provoking. Owners are extremely down to earth, treated me as a family member. Payash is the real delight, even if you dont have a sweet tooth.

Food is good. I order from here very often. Only one thing could not like, that is one khichuri came last week in a thali with payesh, that was over loaded with curry leaves which hampers the basic flavour of the khichuri. rest is all well.

Oh wow! Khichdi is king here . So I can generally gobble down khichdi 5 times a week and specially when it rains in the city. The bhoger khichuri here is fabulous. Even better is the way it's presented in earthern pots. You feel satiated and eco friendly at the same time.
I was never a khichdi fan .But this place has made me one. I crave khichdi now and then after trying it off from here.I had the Achari Khichdi and my wife the Himachali khichdi. Both of them were really good. Along with aloo bhaja, kachumbar salad and begun raita. Do not underestimate the sides here.The payesh was just average. Hope they can keep up the consistency.
Ordered bhog khichdi and it was amazing. The presentation and taste both were nice. Would suggest if someone wants to have light and simple khichdi. Papad and tomato chutni served along with khichdi is an add on.

I had ordered Bhoger Khichuri, beguni, begun bhaja and payesh (roasted papad and chutney came complimentary with the Khichuri) for a group of 15 people today. The food was simply amazing. Each and every item was done to perfection and tasted just as one would have imagined it to be. The quantity was sufficient for an average eater but given the quality you would be left wanting for more. Also the packaging was impeccable. The science of packaging has been converted in to an art form by them. Overall a healthy tasty culinary experience at very reasonable prices. From ordering to service it was a delightful experience.

As the name suggests, they offer an exotic variety of khichdi like Baked, Satvik, Achari, Himachali, etc. They also offer Sabudana, Bajra, Dalia, khichdi. There is a wide variety of rice options like pongal, mexican, bisi bele, etc. Do try the soya rice. Snacks options include upma, poha, rolls, vadas. Their special is the stuffed idlis. A wide variety of North Indian vegetables, Bengali cuisine, raita, chutney are also available. Desserts like halwa, payash, firni are on the menu too. The lady owner goes out of her way to customize. The staff are very cordial. It's hard to get the quality of food at the price. The food is amazing and the price extremely reasonable.

We had suddenly dropped in during one rainy evening time to this place. The very first greeting smile of the ladies shall make you very homely. Although the place is best for takeaway but sit and dine option is also available. We ordered bhog ee khichri, beguni, papd, labra and chutney. Everything tasted really good and home style. Very clean presentation and the place os having open kitchen so they have made it to keep the place very clean and tidy. Overall good experience and must try for vegetarians. Theres a cute labrador who also tries his bit to make the customer feel at ease.

The aroma of each and everything they serve speaks for its purity and taste. Their simple dish -satvik khichdi is also at its best. Purely vegetarian and delicious. I was searching for good quality food in Kolkata for a long time since my job involves travelling extensively and I need to visit Kolkata often. Now I can say that I have a place to satiate my home made delicious food cravings here.

Lovely food, excellent service/ staff. Note that this is not a "sit down" restaurant; though they did happily and generously accommodate us in their office space upon our mistake. They have since kindly arranged delivery for us as we are beyond their Swiggy radius. For every meal that is purchased, a meal is matched/ donated, and all of their packaging is either compostable or recyclable. Particularly a fan of the salad and baked tamatar khichdis. Delicious, healthy, hearty food and a forward-thinking business model! :)
