A good hangout place present in the Fort knoxx building of camac street area.Been to this place at a very odd time so it was a bit empty.Will be visiting this place again at a peak hour to get the vibe of the crowd.Now coming to the decor and interiors ,its very spacious and nicely lit.The service was quick and humble.Lots of varieties in hookah,mocktails and cocktails.Didnt explore the food part much as i was already full .So will be soon visiting this place to explore the incompleted things😊

Housed in the same premises as Fatty Bao and Monkey Bar, the difference lies in the layout as it makes it look at bit spacious. Also offers a decent variety of Chinese cuisine for dinner post your drinks
The ambiance is really nice. Music is just perfect. It also has pool table so if you like to play the game you can have a great time. Coming to the food it's nice. Staff's behaviour is also very polite. Sangira is a must try if you are coming here.
A pretty open place, probably due to it's pricey but satisfying menu. We stumbled in here after a long night of not finding a table on a Saturday night at a bunch of other places and decided to stay as the music drew us in and the sports screening kept us interested. We ordered the veg tandoori platter which was really filling. Our attention was drawn by the foosball table which took up a lot of our time. All in all, a good experience.
Nice place to hangout with your friends and loved.....sitting arrangments is good.... everything is clean.... they have two smoking area(cigarette),a snooker table.....lots of TV and a giant screen.

Urban Desi is a perfect place for a romantic dinner or even lunch. This place has an extraordinarily fascinating ambience and mouth watering food which comes at very normal rates. Food items are not only well presented but also they taste delicious. Also, the service of this place is good. It is a beautiful place and overall I liked it a lot.

Urban desi is one of the most popular pubs in Camac Street. It offers a spectacular view of the city as well.
The cocktails and mocktails were good. I was, however, much impressed with their food.
The Chinese Bhel was amazing. It was a perfect dish to munch with the drinks. The crispy Lotus Stem was a brilliant dish.
Among non veg starters, I loved the Chicken Platter, Butter Garlic Prawns and the Lemon Fish.
I had a lovely evening and I'm planning to be here soon.
The location of this place is a top rated. Outdoor seating zone is just lovely. One who loves fresh air and wants to relax, the outdoor seating in such height is for them. I tried the sex on the beach drink. I got two in the price of one. As an offer was going on at that time. The reshmi kebab is really tasty and blends smoothly while eating. There also we got a discount. The dish was a perfect balance of taste. They have some games to enjoy with friends. A nice place to hang out. I just kept that one star with me because the day we visited ambience was not to that level. I would like to visit again and give a 5 star rating.
First things first - light on your pocket with good offers on a weekend, screens all around - no need to twist yourselves if at all you're glued to the sport on the screen, swift response, not crowded and chilled out place if you've something to discuss amongst.

Neither the music nor the place have a theme. Not a party kind of place. If you intend to socialise or engage in a talk with people around, step back.
On a neutral note, I didn't find food great enough to be classified positive or bad to red seal it negative.

Place is good....it's on the 9th floor of fox knot building in camac street.
The shisha here is good but I didn't like the food....we had mixed sauce pasta,garlic cheese bread and many more dishes .
Will look forward to visit it again!
Had visited this place a few days back.heard great reviews about this place and so went there for dinner.very satisfied with the food and the service.will definitely recommend this place.great ambience as well.
The Level 9 Restobar is a great place for hangout with friends or for some quality time with your bae.If you sit beside windows they have got some good view to offer.Coming to the food they had loads of options to choose from.Fortunately whatever we ordered was mouthwatering.We started with “Crispy Chinese Bhel” which was very good.Next came the star of show which won our heart.It was “Pattaya Veg Coins” which was amazing.Its a must order I will say.Our experiment was successful.To end with we ordered “Darsaan Dessert” which is actually Honey Noodles.It too tasted well.
Overall it was happy time out there .

Situated on the ninth floor of The Fort Knox Building (Camac Street Area) , Urban Desi is a place beautifully decorated. It has an extended roof top area which is 'cool' undoubtedly.
We ordered a chicken BBQ pizza,which tasted really nice and different. Prices are bit on the higher side, but that's not a big deal since the quality of food is good.
From the alcohol section - ' Bacardi Rum' was ordered by my friend, with a can of Sprite (costed Rs 90, the can)...
Staffs are courteous... We had a wonderful experience.

Hot, fresh and mouth watering, as food should be.
And drinks... Well... They are quite as they should be, cuz I don't remember much of it. 😉 Although the beer menu all over Kolkata has taken a serious hit, Urban Desi was the only bar which offered us Corona in months.. and boy did we gulp.

Very, VERY well mannered waiters, short waiting time, and well capable to deal with everything with a friendly smile.
Ambience and Decor: 5/5 (cause that's the highest score I can give)
The Urban Desi comes with high stools and a gorgeous bar, a DJ to ramp up the Desi-ness, beautiful family sized seating, a foosball table for you and your friends, a smoking room with a smoking hot billiard board, dancefloor lights...... And that's just the indoor part. There is outdoor seating too, atop a 9 storey building to make sure you at least get the wind when the time flies by.
This place is easy to locate. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We had ordered a Sangria, a Cosmopolitan, Murgh Makhmali Kababs, BBQ Chicken Meatballs and Crispy Boneless Chicken Strips.
The kababs were delicious.
The meatballs tasted a bit too chewy.
The crispy chicken strips tasted fine.
Overall, it was a good experience.
The outdoor seating is nice. The place is never overcrowded so good place for people who don't want too much crowd. The music is average and food is good.
Nice place and I went there twice because the place is never been over crowded and by any chance I could manage to get a seat at roof top which has a terrible view.Secondly its never make a whole in you pocket and foods are very nice.All kind of drinks are available and I like their belley's and margaritas mostly.I would always love to make plans there.
Amazing place with an amazing ambience.We hv went here on 1st of January so the place were little crowded.But we hv got a perfect place to seat.There was a dim light with candles on each table.It was the perfect place to celebrate ur special day.Staff were friendly and were helping us to choose the r8 dishes and we ordered so many things but my personal favorite was Roasted Vegetable Pizza 😊

Went there with some friends yesterday. Nice place and ambience. The service was very good and polite. We ordered chicken barbeque pizza, veg roasted pizza and french fries for food. From the drinks section we ordered a beer tower, Kamikaze shots and whisky pegs. We also ordered a Hookah. The food and drinks were all good and well prepared. My only complain is with their Hookah section, the hookah was not prepared well. Sometimes the smoke was not coming smoothly, sometimes the hookah created a choking effect, etc. The staff had to change and fix our hookah thrice before we could possibly smoke peacefully. Also, the music was too loud. Except these two things we spent a great evening there.

Went there during the time when they were giving 2+1 offer on cocktails and apetisers. We had taken 4 cocktails and 2 came as free. No issues there. I had ordered 3 non veg apetisers expecting the third or the least expensive one to be free as the case should have been. Along with this i also ordered 1 paneer starter/apetiser. On my billing what they did was they charged for all 3 non veg starters and gave the paneer as free. Which was not done as I had ordered 3 non veg apetisers together and the paneer was ordered separately. One more thing while billing they had keyed in an incorrect amount on the higher side when I used my card for payment. Tip to all guests going there is kindly do double check while making payment. Would have given them a 5 but for these 2 reasons gave them a 4.
Now coming to the quality of the food it was FANTASTIC. We had taken 6 cocktails,1 veg platter,murgh makhmali kebab, chicken tangri kebab,mahi irani kebab and paneer kebab. This place is so well decorated and do have a fussball table to entertain yourself and your family and friends. But the thing I loved most was the service. Amazing staff they have over there. They are so well behaved. After a very long time I've seen such well behaved people in a restaurant. Kudos to them for that. Ratings on the 5 most important aspects of an eatery -

This pub is has wonderful ambiance. They have both the indoor and rooftop sitting arrangements. They also screen football matches . Food quality is average. I have not seen many people in here. We stayed there till the closing time and had a wonderful experience with the dj. Cheers to the dj.

Visited the place last evening for the first time with a friend mainly due to its happy hours offer. Speaking of the ambience, I would say it lives up to the expectations and being on the 9th floor of the Fort Knox building, the view from its end to end full length glass window is a beauty :-) We went for a Smoke on the Beach flavoured Hookah which was not a disappointment. For starters we only had Crispy Chilly Babycorn to be on the safe side and it was a good choice in the end. The disappointing part was the limited choice of bottled beer brands, Bira and Budweiser missing from the menu being the major turn offs. They did not have pitcher or tower for draught beer as well which was for sure a let down. Nevertheless, the place is worth a visit if you need a calm and quite time with your partner or are in for watching the live match being screened. The service is good but that might be because the crowd was minimalistic on a tuesday evening. Yet it deserves more promotion and here I am doing them a teeny tiny favour. Do visit the place and who knows you might be in for a surprise :-)

I just love the ambience of this place, specially the decorative lamp shades. The lights look really romantic after the sun is gone.They have good music. Good place to hangout with friends, beer and hookkah.
There was an after party after zonal meet of my last employer. It is located in the heart of Camac Street and it was a perfect stress reliever for us. The ambience is professional amd it is a mix of cozy and concentrated zone with a small dance floor and you can have the chance to booze off while looking the lighted up city .

So the next destination for the same day was opposite to Monkey Bar and I am thankful to my friends that we visited this place. It offers a beautiful view of city from inside and outside both. The most attractive thing about this place is its feet tapping music and reflection of the colour changing lights. Well coming to the foods we ordered shezwan maggi, Crispy chilli babycorn, Paneer tikka and various drinks (sorry we were too busy in gulping so we forgot to take pictures) 😆😆😷😷 but trust me Food was amazing😋😋 so overall had great experience there and we had fun so can think of visiting again😊

The decor is quite soothing and perfect for a lounge with ceiling designs, wall hanging and perfect lighting.
We ordered the Mahi Irani Kebab (fish kebab and this was so soft and perfectly cooked) and Murgh Makhmali Kebab (The chicken kebab was also quite good).
They also have a large range of liquors available.
Its a happening place targeting youths. Music is classy and internation. Well behaved staffs members. Good place to hang out with friends. In food you can get starters including pasta and pizza. Drinks are well thought.

I visited this place on 24.12.2017. They took cover charge of 2000 which was redeemable inside. We had dry chicken and bar b q pizza 🍕. For raspberry vodka and rum. Taste was average. Location was good. They have live dj which is the most attractive thing. Overall i had a good experience.
This place is located at a very prominent location in Camac Street.. The decor is cool n ambience is soothing, it's not much crowded.. From the glass pane the city looks beautiful in the evening.. Now coming to the food, food quality is ok.. If u r up fr boozing then pocket pinch is on the higher side.. Plus they don't have much option available..we had hookah too, which I liked the most among all.. Overall a decent place with no cheap crowds.. Good option if you are looking for a hangout with friends..

Located on the fort knox building Urban Desi is a great place for youngsters. Comfy couches, chill vibes, a full vibrant bar, pleasant music and great scrumptious flavoured food! They feature outdoor seating too, though it's compact but beautiful to get clicked. Urban Desi is worth a visit :)
I had visited this place for the first time with an friend.Very reasonably priced and ambience was good.Except their orange hookah food was good specially chicken noodles. They serve good quality and quantity .Good hangout place for everyone as DJ music was also plays Hindi songs... So to all the people who don't mix with English songs well the best place is waiting for you

The lounge spans across a big area & I absolutely loved the ambiance. Went there with my friend cum colleague for a hookah after an early wrap up on Friday evening.
Along with Pan rasna hookah, we ordered BBQ Chicken pizza & fresh lime soda.
I quite liked the pizza though my friend didn't.. she felt there was an excess of sauce on the pizza.
Coming to service.. very well behaved staff.
Decent crowd.
Good music.
Overall, it was a relaxing & fun Fri-yay evening spent at Urban Desi! Loved it!
P.S- They charge an extra service tax which is apart from GST. On questioning the waiter, we were being told that's optional. Do take note of that while paying the bill.

This is as mediocre as they get.
Same floor, same building as Monkey Bar, but while that's one of the best bars in Kolkata, Urban Desi struggles to meet expectations even on grounds such as music. At one point, they were playing some really bad Punjabi mash-ups, mixed with Careless Whisper.
Anyway, credit where it's due. The place looks good. Good seating arrangement, both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor seating needs slightly more light on the table and less on the fence. It's very annoying to have strong blue light on your face when you're turning sideways to talk to your friend.
Very courteous staff. Most beers aren't available. So we ordered Buds and Jim Beams.
And chicken wings. Delicious. Very nicely cooked. Good quantities too.
This is worth a visit in this area, but only if you have visited Monkey Bar multiple times and want a quieter place to chill. I bet they'll improve over time.
