Very good pure veg food. Taste n quantity both are superb. Tried their Paneer Makhani, Dal Makhani, garlic nan. Garlic naan is a grt choice for garlic lovers.

Ordered for Dahi Vada. The quantity was sufficient, the vadas were soft and nice. It was too sweet. We had ordered for a diabetic patient. Suggest that the sweet chatni be packed separately.

Soothing atmosphere and delicious taste is what would describe The Guptas on Camac Street. Their mocktails are perfect while North Indian cuisine is fabulous and full of flavor though there can be some improvement with breads.
Overall, a great experience!
Guess this is the first ever veg place where I have gone for lunch and I would like to go again.
Have tasted their lassi, dahi phuchka, raita,rabri etc before.
But the thali is a must try.. it’s so reasonable yet filling. We were given -

I ordered three masala dosa. Packing and taste are excellent. But one thing, masala of the dosa contains onion. Not pure veg. I am requesting you please try to add onion separetly to dosas as per requirment by the customer.

The Gupta has got a high reputation and has always been our choice when it comes to trying out veg food. We had ordered one plate of Dahi Vada. The two vadas were smaller in size compared to what any other veg restaurant sells at an equivalent price. However, the overall taste was great.
I had ordered *ghar ki thaali, that was really delicious. Thaali covers good items with wide range of taste. Butter paneer masala & boondi raita was👌👌.

I had ordered ghar ki thali for lunch. The quality of food was really good and met my expectations. The thali included- 2 tandoori roti with butter, fried rice, aloo dum, paneer, papad, chatni, raita and 1 gulab jamun. I feel the quantity of rice can be improved. The packaging was also very good. Depending on the area the price is fine. Recommended for other foodie !!!
Pocket friendly without quality substandard .... Thali was good for ✌️ and raita was yuuuummmm.... The subji biryani was tasty too .... Was expecting a raita with it.... But it's fine.... Overall a good one ... Will look forward ordering again ....

This is my second visit to this place and I was still in love with chole bhature I had last time. This time I ordered ' The Gharwali Thali' which looks quite intimidating to you when you see it for the first time given its gigantic size. It consists of one perfectly baked laccha paratha, one lentil stuffed Naan, two curries, dal makhani, vegetable pulao,deep fried parwal stuffed with gram flour, refreshing dahi vaada, one hot gulab jamun, papad and green salad. The aalo dum is a little spicy and the potatoes are perfectly cooked and soaked with flavors. I am not a great fan of Paneer, though the Paneer butter masala at Guptas failed to disappoint me. In most places the Paneer delicacies I had tasted before seemed rubbery with no unique flavor of its own. However, at Guptas it was smooth as heaven. The spices are quite balanced and the consistency of the curry is creamy. The parwal was a little cold, nonetheless it was delicious. The veg pulao didn't quite live upto my expectations. When eaten with the Dal Makhani it fails to deliver the desired effect. The best part of the thali is the dahi vaada which is uplifting. It is sweet, sour and cold and the vaada is spiced with fennel and ginger. The hot gulab jamun is a perfect desert to end the sumptuous thali.
The staff is well mannered and courteous. The ambience is akin to any other street side diner. The thali is too large to be eaten alone, so I recommend taking a friend along with yourself when you drop in for a bite.
Went there for the first time today. Liked the place and service and loved the food. Ordered Paper Masala Dosa, Chole Bhature, hot Gulab jamun and Cold Coffee. Each and everything I ordered was absolutely perfect. Prompt service and good ambience adds to the popularity of the place.
Food is very good. Ambience is nice. Staff are polite. Best place for vegetarian food lovers. Value for money. Veg Au Gratin is just fantastic. Besides North Indian, their Italian food is also very good.

Great place for vegetarian food. Just had their thali, which proved amazing in all respects. Clean place, friendly staff, and value for money place.
Despite being a small place it is a best place to dine in . The food was great . The ambiance was also quite well . We took Masala Dosa,Upma & idli . And the specials included corn palak and paneer sirka pyaaz , it was a must try. The service was great . loved it . : )
Being a hardcore meat eater I seldom visit restaurants that don’t serve non veg, but my experience at gupta’s was pretty good. For those that have not heard about this place, Guptas is located on theatre road (Shakespeare sarani).
I don’t claim to be an expert on Gupta’s (having visited this place only once). However, during that visit I ended up ordering a malai kofta along with butter naan. The service was really quick and the waiters were extremely polite and responsive. The food was pretty tasty but not mind blowing. The ambience interiors were decent and the place was very hygienic.

Looks simple outside but rich inside.The food is very good over here.We tried its "Ghar Ki Thali" which was very good I would say both in terms of Quality and Quantity.We also took Masala Dosa,Upma & Mix Papri Chaat which was also good.Chutney and Sambar can be improved but not bad.Loads of Variety in North Indian Food Especially.

Though I have been here couple of times earlier and had loved the food so I planned for a dinner with my family and friends on 25th June 2017. We were 8 of them and they could not provide us place to seat together rather they insisted to sit on 2 different seats due to which we had to move out even after Restuarant was 90% empty as there was only 1 family with 8-10 members dining there. When we were moving out of the restaurant I was surprised to see that they are least bothered if any customer leaves after checking in....I think they are doing so well that if any 1 group leaves it hardly matters. God bless.
Small restaurant however is pretty good. I not very fond of veg dishes however this place is very good. I went there several occasions due to proximity of my previous office and some of my colleagues were pure vegetarian. The veg thali they serve is quite good and the quantity is more than sufficient, but my favourite there is 'Kumbh Hara Matar' (Mushroom with Green Peas).
My quest for perfect North Indian food (veg) ends here. I dropped in here for dinner with my family after shopping at Westside, Pantaloons which is at 6mins distance from the Guptas. The ambience here is nothing fancy and the space too is not that huge but is decent enough with comfortable seats to spend a quality time.
The Dal Makhani and achari aloo dum was heaven with ample quantity. It's a MUST order. Pineapple raita was both sweet and sour and was absolutely delicious.
One can expect Courteous and timely service with delicious food which won't hurt your pocket.
The food was superb and i and my family loved it.
Especially the paneer tikka and north indian was my favourite.
The staff are friendly and service is also very good

The Guptas is my hunger saviour, near to my office, located near camac street crossing. If in for a quick lunch then try their mouth watering veg combo which comes quite cheap on the pocket. Clean & hygienic restaurant with ample sitting capacity.

Quality of the food is good no doubt but i felt a bit less in quantity. Other than that, good behaviour of the staffs and management is nice. Parking is a bit hectic and since it's situated on a one way road one has to take a round or two to locate for the first time.

Visited The Guptas after about 7-8yrs and I must admit I missed it. In fact they have improved their food a lot since my last visit. 5 stars to the food, but a star less for the space crunch and the table cloth they use. I would suggest them to remove them.

We went for lunch on a Friday. The restaurant was not crowded but they seem to be catering to lot of bulk orders/ deliveries.

Chole bhature and pav bhaji were excellent. Pav bhaji is better than Bombay.
