Good environment for families and relatives to enjoy and eat. Food quality is good and staff is friendly and courteous. Excellent chole Bhature and Dosa is served. Their chutneys are fab as well.

Located at New Alipore. This is a veg restaurant. Our order was dahi bada, grilled cheese sandwich and veg steamed momo. The sandwich came with chips and was tasty. Price is reasonable.

Nothing special abt this place. Its a normal go to place for your evening snacks while returning from office.
Talking about the ambience, its just a simple place, with closely knit tables. Nothing fancy decoration or asthetically pleasing architecture. But, to the rescue, the place is fully air conditioned.
Coming to the food, it offers some real good dishes at a very cheap rate. Within 300 bucks you can have enough food for two utterly hungry people. I specially like the Chole Batura and chai. The dosa and sandwich is also really good.
The service is okish and swift. Usually the place is not over crowded. Most of the time decent crowd is found.

This place looks absolutely shabby and dull, but don’t judge a book by its cover. This place is a pure vegetarian place serving amazing South indian dishes and snacks like pav bhaji, momos, and sandwitches.
I’ve always ordered from this place through swiggy, and by now i can tell you the top 3 dishes that you SHOULD try from Krishna.
• Dosa’s - Their dosa’s are my absolute favourite. They are huge ( trust me when i say that it’s really huge ), my favourite is the Masala dosa, and the sambar is to die for! It doesn’t taste soupy with hard veggies in it, it’s the pure sambar dal that you get in chennai.
• Steamed Momos - it might sound weird, but their momos are amazing ! They give 5 huge pieces of plump vegetable momos paired with a vegetable stock based soup. The size of the momos are double the size of an average momos from a street vendor or from wow momo.
• Grilled Sandwitch - most of the place serve sandwitches with lots of cheese and a tiny amount of veggies mixed with it, i normally order the grilled sandwitch without cheese from Krishna’s and they are really good. Served with loads of potato chips, it’s something that you should definetly try after the dosa’s and the momos.
Except these three i’ve tried their pav bhaji And papri churmur, which are also equally good. I’ve tried their noodles which was really bad. Their prices may look a little bit on the higher side but there’s no compromise with the quantity! A plate is enough for 2 people.

The best place to have south Indian cuisine near by New alipore location. I love their vast range of dosa's and prefer having masala dosa, rava dosa's. The chowmein served by them is also tasty.
This place is located at taratala and this is a South Indian food joint. They serve only vegetarian food. The decor and the ambiance of the place can be improved a bit but the quality of food is satisfactory.
They serve a variety of dosa and utthapam. The polao tastes good too and it is served with raita and masala papad. Overall very basic but neat and clear presentation of food. So if you want to change your tastebuds a bit. Hit to this place soon.

The place is very near to Taratala and can be well spotted from any vehicle. A spacious joint serving good quality food. The ambience is not that catchy which is layered with the taste of the food. The pulao is a must try along with different dosa. Also the ice cream is delicious to back the meal. The friendly staff and the owner will let you feel very comfortable.
This place has been my all time favourite joint for a quick bite when hungry. Be it north-Indian or south, the food is awesome. My personal favourite is the Pav Bhaji and Cold Coffee with Ice-cream. The decor can be improved a bit.

This is vegetarian outlet specializing in South Indian. Went into this place just for evening snacks on a Sunday. Simple,clean,full on ac,polite staff that defines it's decor & env. We ordered mixed chat, grilled sandwich & cold coffee with ice cream. The food was decent and good and we liked it.
This is an age old eatery known for their delicious dosas. They only serve vegetarian food. I'm not really a big fan of South Indian food but their dosas are really good. Also the paprichat they serve with chilled curd definitely helps you to beat the heat. Major drawback is the chowmein which is absolutely not up to the mark. Most of the veggies were undercooked and it's too bland to have without any side dish. The chowmein also didn't have any salt or pepper. It was odd to see that they didn't keep any salt and pepper on the table😮. I was a bit apprehensive about their sandwiches thinking I might find undercooked veggies in it too. Again the pav bhaji was okayish.
Overall verdict : will visit again only for the dosa and paprichat.
This place is just diagonally opposite punjab and sind bank, it has a decent and simple ambience the owner is quite cordial and friendly, it's serves sandwiches, chaats, chola batura, pau bhaji but there south indian is pretty decent and actually good. Also they have quite a good variety.
Very close to my house and a simple cosy hang out! Having been there multiple times, I can vouch for the food quality. If you're looking for simple South Indian food, this is the place. The staff are extremely courteous. They have recently (slightly) upgraded their decor which is a welcome change.

This place is always there in my priority list whenever hunger strikes hard. I love the Onion Cheese Masala Dosa here. You should at least try it once. I even like the cold coffee they provide. This is a popular South Indian eatery located in a busy area of New Alipore near TIME coaching center. I've been there a few times and loved their dosas and idlis. They also serve North Indian, which is a good alternative to regulars. On one of the occasions I was returning home really late on a rainy night when Krishna Snacks Bar turned out to be the saviour, serving me delightful dosa in a deserted restaurant about to close. They usually take time to present the orders on the table, but I cannot complain about the great quality of food they serve, easily making them one of the best South Indian restaurants in town.
This is one restaurant which is loved by all age groups. It has home-made quality food to offer and is thus especially visited by the office crowd on a daily basis. However, I would recommend to pay more attention to the hygiene.
I had ordered their special thali via swiggy one an afternoon.It comes with paneer(pretty good),malai kofta(a lil salty),masala kulcha(really good),jeera rice(normal),mixed dal(pretty good),papad,boondi raita,salad and pickles. This old eatery caught my interest when I badly craved South Indian food at home. Located just opposite the New Alipore A Block Petrol pump, this can be called the equivalent to the renowned SSB, but not quite. I ordered food at home and the manager asked the bill to be a minimum amount of 500 rupees. Okay, not too shabby there. However, there are other home delivery eateries, farther away from Krishna which do not have such demands and still provide free home delivery. The food was excellent. Fresh steamed idlis with the ever delicious coconut chutney and hot sambhar, a plate of mouth watering cheese dosa alongside a plate of spicy onion uthappam was more than enough to put my hunger at rest. The delivery man was courteous and the food came in, unspoiled and warm still. The delivery however took more than an hour and a half to arrive even though the restaurant is barely 20 minutes away from Parnasree.
The bill amounted to a total of 534 rupees however the taxes levied made it a total of 700 rupees instead. A little too much for some idlis and dosas I must say. I shall come here for a full dining experience soon to know more.

Have been going to this place since my school days. Well, it's a typical vegetarian no frills food joint. It serves good dosas and their coconut chutney is just too good. There pao bhaji and idli are good too. I don't much care for the noodles they serve.
But the reason why you should visit the place, is to have a sip of their piping hot glass of masala chai. I really feel like it has magical powers to elevate you to transcendence.

Best place for Dosa and uttapam in this part of the city. As some of you may recall the fact that Drive Inn and Garden Cafe prices are sky rocketing they by day, and it has reached a point where prices are seldom justified.
Nonetheless coming to the food quality. Last week my dad packed a Dosa and my favorite Sada Vada, which was nice and crispy to have.
I must complain about the quality of chutney they provide. It was definitely not fresh and I think it was stale too.
Other than that the food was OK.

This food joint was a place where me and my college buddies used to go during our college days. Even being a 100% vegetarian snacks bar, this place serves pretty good and tasty food, and that's too at a reasonable price. The ambience is very average though, and the service staffs are a bit lethargic in their attitude, but overall, its an okay place to have some quick bites.

OK, this place has a special space in my life n memory, so I may be a tad bit biased towards it. I have taken my wife to this place for countless number of times for an evening date.
The remarkable thing about this place its location, newalipore-taratala crossing on the main road.
Next is, its simple yet charming decor and extremely courteous staff. The glassed wall gives a nice bistro type of feeling if one can grab the glass side tables.
The only downside (for carnivores like me) of it being purely vegetarian restaurant, yet the food they serve rather used to serve made up for it. Yes ,off late the taste of the food has been in decline.
My favourites were various chats, aloo paratha,pao bhaji, chole batore, south Indian vada etc. My wife used to like their dosa also.

At times I find it a bit difficult to grab a seat in this place. All veg menu and from the menu list, I have tried the masala dosa, Paw Bahji, chana batura, Veg sandwich, veg chowmin and lassi.
