After going through a few decent reviews about this place, visited them for a casual dinner!
The Drunken Monkey based in Kaikhali (VIP Road) is a gastro pub which provides great fooding, ambience and service at pocket friendly prices!
Ordered crispy chilly babycorn for starters – which was excellent, almost perfectly crisp, sweet, saucy, tangy as well as spicy at the same time – overall, pretty tasty – of course!
Being a vegetarian, I am not much into Thai cuisines, but still, for mains, we went for their Thai green curry with steam rice. Exotic Oriental vegetables cooked in coconut flavour Thai green curry were served along with steam rice! The platter looked like a million bucks and was so tasty that I now look forward to Thai food more often!
Quantity and quality served is decent, pocket pinch is reasonable considering the experience they provide! This is a very happening place and you will definitely enjoy your meal whilst listening to variety dance numbers!
Service here is mind blowing – at all their seats, they have a button to signal the attendant to come and service you – just like you have in flights!
Only drawback was that they made the food tooooo spicy!
Overall, an unforgettable experience!

The Drunken monkey O2 VIP ROAD, is the place with beautiful ambience and amazing food qualities. Also its a hidden place in town. The staffs were soo friendly, and the rates were also reasonable. Loved it.

Hidden away in the basement of the O2 Hotel (to be clear it's located in the O2 Hotel and not the O2 Oxygen Hotel, I mention this to avoid any confusion) The Drunken Monkey is an intriguing place. The ambience is nice with spread out seating and low lighting that is typical of a pub. They've an unique method of drawing attention for the service men, an old-fashioned switch on the wall! Great idea, of course. The menu is elaborate with a wide range of food and drinks available. Certainly they're a specialist of the French fries, with a staggering variety from all over the world to choose from. I can't comment on the other items on the menu as I didn't try them but would definitely like to someday. Coming to the drinks, the Chocolate Martini was delightful though some might find it too sweet. The problem was with the mixing as most of the chocolate sauce was stuck at the bottom of the glass. The staff were courteous but the bartender was constantly giggling and commenting on the drinking habits of the patrons. Not the most exemplary behavior in a pub! I'd definitely be back there to try something new. One last thing, they do have happy hours; one plus one offer on selected brands.

Penne pasta was super soft cooked in the creamy green pesto sauce and the blast of cheese made it taste amazing. This was just delicious and I highly recommend it.

Spaghetti Pasta was little disappointing compared to Penne Pesto Pasta that we previously tried. Made with sun dried tomatoes, spaghetti felt bit sticky, garnished with italian herbs, overall tasted ordinary.

We also took 2 Hookahs but here experience was bit different. They advertise Hookahs @ only Rs.349 but when the bill came we found they've added 28% of GST and another unknown charge called CES at 17% that made it Rs.1000. I think this is completely misleading and a way to fool customers.

The Drunken Monkey of O2 Hotel is decent place if you want to hide from everyone and enjoy a moment in your life. They also serve some alcoholic dishes that can be really fascinating.
It is a good place....and I am happy with services they have provided.....the food was good..........and the cocktails were my favorite......

From the happy hours bar menu, we had 2litres and a pitcher of draught beer.

one of the best pubs in the kaikhali- airport area. liked the interiors, the ambiance very much. If you ar an Ice tea lover you must try their ice tea. One of the best ice tea I ever had. We also had non veg pizza and burger both were equally good. high highly recommend this place

The Ambiance is really like a drunken monkey ,the have slanting high ball glass the unique thing. There is a music arrangement and lighting is good with a feel of premium lounge. Today I went to The Drunken Monkey along with my special one which is the one place we always wanted to hangout. So finally we went there today and we were so pleased with the whole ambiance of the pub, best for relieving stress and enjoy. The decor details was so good with monkey toys hanging all over the ceiling. We had the food item which was, "Pizza Pazza Pollo" (Thin crust spicy chicken pizza) which was so yum and also had a hookah. Overall we had a great time there. Would definitely visit again soon.

Ordered a Chicken Pizza here from Swiggy right after an unsuccessful order from another place. Needless to say, my mood wasn't that great but man was i impressed by this 9" size pizza!!
Before i say anything more i would like give it a fair perspective to everyone by saying that is nothing special to be exact. It just a Chicken Pizza but man it tasted great enough for me to post my first ever food review.
All three to four elements in it worked perfectly. The chicken tasted great, the cheese was actually stretchy almost to the point it reminded me of pizza commercials and most importantly it was light and hot enough to be eaten perfectly. Even the chilli flakes compliments the pizza perfectly unlike other pizzas i ordered before so thats a big bonus. I am still surprised by how light it was. Do not mistake it as a light meal. You can easily have one for dinner and feel like not eating anything afterwards.
Yeah my mood is better now ,will plan to order that pizza whenever i can from now on.

Located at the basement of O2 hotel located in VIP road. been here many times now because of the ambiance and food and the service provided by them. the manager here is such a guide to the club there is no problem you could have once communicated to him. i have ordered a crispy chilly baby corn and garlic bread along with shisha and some alcohol. all were just amazing. the place accepts zomato gold dineout nearbuy. And has amazing happy hours too .
The place , actually can't find out any word to express if you want to take a break from your hectic schedule , pressure,u can go there ,enjoy with your family and friends , usually I go there with my husband, enjoy a lot , the floor manager Mr. Bapi is very helpful ,cooperative , he always takes care of everyone's needs , take care of the crowds who are really creamy .. u don't need to worry to go there with your family .. any occasion like last yr my brother's birthday party was celebrated there ..enjoyed a lot ..price is economic....

I went here for my birthday and had a really good time. We order the chicken pizza with extra cheese and fries with bacon and pitchers of LIT. No complains at all, would highly recommend this place.
This place has given us one of the best services offered so far in a pub. Totally loved the ambience even the world cup screening was quite enjoyable at the time. The music was good for the ears with a few numbers from the old days being played.
We ordered for a watermelon and vodka based cocktail which I found droolworthy. We also had beers ,the draght one.
In food we had prawn pizza & dragon chicken.
The pizza was really awesome just as I wanted as per my taste thin crust .

Went to this place with my friends. It is located inside the hotel O2. The ambience of this place is really cool. It is quite dark with dimly decorative lights. Although food and drinks are a bit expensive, they do possess some exciting offers. The food is up to the mark. Can't get any better. The service is amazing. They have a light system for calling the staff which is quite impressive. You should definitely visit this place for the ambience, soothing music and delicious dishes.

Went to this place with some friends a few days ago.This pub is situated inside the O2 hotel which is very near to Kaikhali bus stand. It's has a enjoyable ambience altogether. But it's a bit dark mostly.
Other than booze,I had one awesome pizza:
•(Lortolona All Veggies Pizza)- It was damn delicious & I was so impressed with it.It had the perfect cheese pull.
Other than that they also have a live screening for the World cup matches so it's nice to have some drinks and enjoy the match. The airport area doesn't have much of a decent pubs but this one is truly a nice one to chill with your friends or loved ones.
For food: my recommendation would be to try any kind of pizza because the amount of cheese is insane!😅

The pizza was amazing, the cheese pull terrific! The pasta was creamy and the proportion huge! The pice justifies the food finally for a place serving pizza and pasta. The stuffed toy monkeys on the ceiling was cute. However, I feel disappointed that people majorly think of this as a pub to drink and not a restaurant to eat, especially when the food doesn't disappoint.

A sudden plan to visit this place and the experience turned out to be absolutely fantastic! We had ordered Thai style Chicken and TDM special non veg wrap.
Thai style chicken was spicy and with lots of veggies, mushrooms and chicken was cooked well.
The wrap was a total delight to have! Soft and full of lip smacking stuffings. The ambience was good as well.

THIS PLACE is like home now. Since I have relocated to Hyderabad so whenever I go to Kolkata the drunken monkey is a must visit. Its sort a pub and very near to airport it has almost all sort of liquors at very very very affordable price range and this guys give offers quite often example valentine day IPL league couple night musical night. Recently there pizza collection and the ice cream collection I have checked out and its mouth watering. Till now almost I have visited this place like very 20 to 30 times. I found very friendly and polite behaviour from all the staff members of the drunken monkey.

We had Jamaican Chicken Wings, Signature Yakitori Chicken with rice, grilled fish with rice (must try), nd there was summer special dessert section which was awesome. Food was pretty decent, but the drinks were a bit costly I mean a bit more than average rate.

Awesome place for two, location is nearby to dum dum metro so easily navigable. People are polite and humble. Food was very good as in taste and quantity. They don't have domestic wine even less collection of vintage wine. Ambience is very good to spend quality time with your dear one.

❣️Virgin Mojito (INR 250): Chilled to perfection, this virgin mojito was a kickstarter during our lunch. Though the use of mint leaves was a little more than necessary, it was a refreshing drink. Rating: 4/5
❣️TDM Special Mocktail (INR 250): This signature mocktail was a heavenly combination of banana and strawberry. The diced banana pieces were submerged in a pool of fresh cream, strawberry syrup and ice. The sweetening was perfect and the half banana garnished on the edge of the glass was too cute to miss out on. Rating: 4/5
❣️Cigar Rolls (INR 225): This veg starter had 8 pieces of cigar rolls with a generous filling of sautéed spinach, onion and cheese. The wanton crust deep fried to perfection enhanced the filling to the fullest. The best thing about this dish was the exotic tomato salsa as an accompaniment. Rating: 4.5/5
❣️Pizza Pazza Pollo (INR 325): This was a thin-crust pizza with a generous amount of mozzarella and spicy chicken cubes. Teamed with oregano and chilli flakes, the 8 long slices were literally cherished. Rating: 4.5/5
❣️TDM Special Noodles (INR 275): This signature dish was a blend of authentic Asian and modern European. The noodles were tossed in garlic soya sauce with a generous amount of exotic vegetables like red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, capsicum, onion, spring onion, pak choi to name a few. The tofu acted as the cherry on the top and enhanced the flavour as a whole. The quantity was sufficient for 2 people. Rating: 4/5
❣️Walnut Brownie Sundae (INR 95): This is a new addition to the menu and I must say it was a lip-smacking sundae. Served in a Margherita glass, the broken brownie pieces on the base were made moist with two generous scoops of chocolate and vanilla ice-cream. Two intact slices of walnut brownie were placed on the edge of the glass. The drizzling of chocolate sauce and the addition of choco chips made this signature dessert one of the best ones I have had in a while. Rating: 5/5
Overall, it was a wonderful experience at the restaurant and we would surely recommend this place to all. Thank you Sumanta for extending the invitation and thank you, The Drunken Monkey, for having us over.

I got a Monday Smoky offer.. In which i got a hookah free with cocktail. Ambience was good enough. Its good. The recommended hookah flavor was awesome. And the bartender did a good job with his cocktail.

Zomato comes to the rescue as a mood-lifter after a not-so-satisfying day!!
Ordered a plate of Grilled Fish in Garlic butter sauce served with herbed rice and sauteed veggies from The Drunken Monkey (O2 Hotel) and ended up being delivered all of the below:
-Grilled Fish: Two huge pieces of Basa fillet grilled to perfection that completely melted in the mouth and generosity topped with thick Butter Garlic Sauce (on the plate is 1/4rh of what was delivered)
-Herbed Rice and Fries (on the plate is half of each that were delivered)
-Two pieces of garlic toasts
-Sauteed Veggies: Tossed with butter and herbs and tasted awesome.
All this packed neatly, the rice in plastic container and the rest in aluminium foil containers and priced at Rs.394 (including tax).
I am there with my wife and after office when we entered all stress gone as the ambience was awesome .full chill out place the behaviour of staff awesome.
As beverages we gone for 🍻 beer tower and it's pocket friendly .

Alcoholic 🍕 pizza. It's awesome pure thin crust 🍕 what we both like full marks to 🍕.

‘Drink and eat till you burp ‘ - this should be the perfect caption for this pub. Situated in the basement of hotel O2 vip, this restaurant offers the perfect mix of drinks , shisha along with mouthful of dishes originated from different parts of the world.
It was the perfect Friday night for us . So we thought of giving this place a try for our review. It has that special ambience with lively music in place along with live sports screening.
We ordered a tower of beer along with a mild flavoured shisha to welcome our weekends . In the starter we ordered ‘ non veg tandoori platter ‘ along with Jamaican chicken wings . I have tried chicken wings dishes almost in every restaurant but this one was my best . Every flavour in it was right at the point. In the main course we ordered pasta in white sauce which was also one of their signature dishes. Thanks to the staff ‘Soumyadeep’ who suggested us all the dishes during our visit and for his outstanding service.

This pub is situated at kaikhali in o2 hotel and it is a small pub compared to others. Coming to the food,we had LIIT, chicken barbequed salad, peru fries, nonveg tandoor platter which is consisting of fish and chicken kebabs. Foods were lip smacking but i felt the quantity was little low though we had fries and the platter from a nearbuy coupon maybe that's why the quantity is compromised , none the less the LIIT was perfectly blended . Service is moderate . The food may take good 30 mins to reach to your table 😬😬 but overall had a good time over there.
The place has a dusky light which perfectly fits with the ambience. Music blends with the flavour of ambience lifting up your mood with perfect food to taste. Staff were courteous. Overall a good choice.

This place is really nice. I just loved this Place. I have celebrated the Pre New Year Eve here and I just loved it. Food and Service both are decent. I can visit again and will advise others also to visit.

This is one of the in-house bar and restaurants of Hotel O2. As you enter the place, you'll get to see colourful stairs with quirky words written on it. The place is adorned with beautiful lanterns with minimal central light. Loud music is played and you can booze around and groove with it. I went to the cake mixing ceremony that took place here. I tried chicken burgers along with French fries and dumplings and both tasted good. Will definitely visit again!
Good place if you dont wanna spend but also want to take your girlfriend out to-a good bar .. if you want the taste of cocktails you should go there!

A variety of dishes are available, taste is good as well. The place is always almost empty with less or no crowd. The interiors are well suited to the ambience needed for the place but the place is in basement of hotel. Price wise it's good reasonable, won't say it's cheap though.
Had a nice evening on Nabami night during Durga Puja 2023. Food was of great taste. We had chicken salad and cheese garlic bread along with some cocktails. Drinks seemed to be a bit overpriced. There was live DJ music which added to the Puja vibes. Enjoyed it.
Nice decor and ambience. The chicken dish we ordered was very tasty! The space is quite big and obviously it's better if you visit in happy hours. It was very empty around 4pm but loved the time spent there.
The place is good for happy hours timing but the issue is food quality. We ordered mixed chow which was average, the grilled fish was burnt and it tasted very bad because the fish was burnt. Drinks on happy hours are cheap compared to the ambience and location. The Ambience and atmosphere is good with big screen for viewing of matches. Service is good, hookah was also good. I rate 4 star because of food quality otherwise it is a really good place.

One of my favourite go to places, reasonable prices for food and alcohol. Very chill ambiance, not loud at all. Can hangouts with friends/partner for spending some quality time. Their pizza is top notch and is a must try
So, this is my first post after 2 years. We went to a pub after 2 years due to pandemic. It was our usual spot. The food was delicious as usual. I think the chicken wings were slightly undercooked, other than that everything tastes delicious. The ambiance was great. Had a great time.
Went to this joint today, and to my surprise, it was quite good. The food was damn tasty and worth the price. The platters were good.

I have crossed this location but never saw the signboard as the restaurant is at basement of O2 VIP.
I have checked this place with my mom hoping to try on some continental dishes.
But the first appearance of it is a cool hangout place with friends for boozing. Though we are not feeling any uncomfortable. The low light, decoration, romantic music, option for live screening, cool ambience with good bar and hookah all set my mood for a cool party.
The price per dishes are not too high (approx 300) which include good option for continental veg and non veg. The option for attractive alcoholic dishes (foods cooked with rum or wine or else dressed with wine for salad) and option for mouthwatering prawns (shrimp pepper , cocktail prawn, butter prawn) double my hunger.

Maze platter ( veg - 4 small rotis stuffed with some pakorar and served with 4 different dips and salad) good option in veg with tasty dips, crispy
Jamaican fried chicken - fried in rum, juicy and spicy **must try
In desserts
Brownie and pineapple champ (instead of cake it use pineapple piece)
I am more happy in food dishes rather than desserts. Pineapple champ its not that tasty as its sound and brownie is not up to the mark. But starter and foods are good in taste. We are 2 person taking 3 starters and 2 desserts cost us 1200 ( approx). Also servicing some how i dont feel up to the mark. Also they don't have habit to offer water unless you ask for it.

It was a nice experience going there and it was my first time going there . The hospitality was great but one incident took place where I ordered fish finger which was not fresh the first time it was given, so I asked the waiter to replace it which they did and the second plate of fish finger was finger licking good. It makes me think why did they served stale fish wheb they had the fresh one.
Apart from this everything was great
Nice cosy place in the mall.. good Art work done. Couple friendly Ambience. I had a big 12" pizza for 295/- which is really worth it. It's a restro bar cafe. Inexpensive place.
