They serve the most delicious samosas in India. The taste is nothing short of heaven. Their kachori sabzi, club kachori and jalebi are a must try. If you're in Kolkata for the first time, don't miss baked rasgulla, laddu and sandesh. Their Bengali sweets are perfect. The owner is a very friendly person. He made sure that I became a big fan.
I had their baked badam barfi. Quite nice. Its an innovative desert and would make an excellent dessert for dinner at home when served with ice cream
Had pinni, milk cake and I forgot the name of another sweet but each of them tasted too good! Special mention goes to the milk cake and pinn. Staff were polite too.
Tiwari is the Best. They till now maintain their quality.Sweets are mouth watering.I love the smell of ghee. You should definitely have Keshar Kaju barfi and Laddu. These are purely heaven.
Apologize for the bad quality photos .
But here it is.
I ordered for baked rosogollas, baalushahi and khasta kachuri.
Balushahi was average.
Baked rosogollas were really good. Recommended.
And the kachuri was also average.
Verdict: They are a big name in the minto park area. Coming from that point, I will say,
Their offerings in terms of sweets and snacks were pretty huge.
None of the food items was bad in taste and were made fresh.
Pocket pinch was easy.
I really liked their baked rosogollas. Try it.
The old favorite snack outlet situated in Mintopark. Had to have amazing snacks from this place during childhood days. Not to forget their amazing boxes of ladoo that comes to my home very often.
Went in for nostalgic feel, tried a samosa and vegetable cutlet this time. Such homely feel, stainless steel glasses of water was kept with lid for the visitors. The snacks haven't change yet, with over dose of ghee in the samosa for which they are famous for, you seriously will need a coke with it. Though I loved the vegetable cutlet. Quality is never a question here, and with decent prices, this place is still a hit.
This place has never and ever dissapointed during my whole life. I have been visiting them since my childhood daya as I am very much fond of their very famous "RasMadhuri"(Sweet) and "Singhara". Just a quick info that Its counterpart is one of the oldest sweet shop in Kolkata which is situated near Satyanarayan Park AC Market and has developed its fanbase since very long with it's freshly prepared sweets and other snacks items in pure ghee.
I was strolling around the Minto Park area during morning hours and thus I decided to have a quick breakfast at my one of the favorite hotspot seving varieties of savouries and snacks. The essence coming out from the shop still reminded me of my good old childhood days. The hustle and bustle of the people inside the shop waiting for their favorite saviouries to arrive early was very much serene. After all the hustle and bustle, I finally received my order. I ordered #VegCutlet, #MatarPuff and #BakedRoshogulla for my breakfast. In return I got #KheerMohan, #RabdiMalPua & #AabarKhaabo as complimentary from Mr. Siddharth who happens to be the owner of the place. Such a gem of a guy he is.
1. Veg Cutlet: (3.5/5)It was filler with peas, potato, kaaju and topped with fried vermicelli served with sweet chutney.
2. Matar Puff: (3/5) Truly speaking, it was little dissapointing as I couldn't find chunks of peas in it but it tasted good.
3. Kheer Mohan:(4.5/5) Considered to be as the Kings of Sweet. It looks more of like flat gulabjamun but is very tough to prepare. It is said that the time taken by a skilled person to prepare approx 400 nos. Gulabjamun will be as equivalent to preparing 70 nos. of it. It had the filling of Javitri, Jayphal etc inside it making it way better than other sweets in terms of taste. Highly recommended.
4. Baked Roshogulla:(4/5) It was superb. Recommended.
5. Rabdi Maalpua:(4.5/5) It was the second runner-up I must say and was introduced in the menu few days back. What made it more special was the rabdi between the 2 slices of Maalpua. Highly Recommended.
6. Aabar Khabo:(4.5/5) What an amazing sweet it was. As the name suggests Aabar Khaabo means "will eat again" truly depicts the actual character of the sweet. Fluffy cream on the chenna is truly an unique combination. Highly Highly Recommended.
This place will always hold a special place in my heart. Prices as compared to the item served is very mere and that's why I love this place.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PLACE.

You will love the sweets and kachoris here.. it's at Minto park beside Ashoke Hall school..you won't miss it because it's right on the road. Had been there for breakfast and I loved it so much that I got packets of sweets packed for home!
This place adds to my childhood fond memories. My father always pampered me with my favourites, and one of them is the wide range of barfi. Tewari is such a shop where you will find varieties of barfi. I can assure you, such variety you will get no where. Other than barfi you can also try their laddoos and snacks. These sweets are real good. Do try them and if you haven’t tried them then I must say you are really missing out something.
If you are around Exide and need to pack some sweets on your way back home, you shall definitely head to this famous shop which is known for their laddoo and Sonpapri (which are dipped is Ghee of course).
Why wait? Pack your portion till it runs out of stock :)
I first heard about Tewari Confectioners from my uncle whose office at Shakespeare Sarani was near this outlet. I’ve been a regular customer of this chain since the past 12 years, and have made purchases from its multiple branches. I can vouchsafe for the standard of their sweetmeats. They are made from good quality ingredients, which is very much evident in their taste. My personal favourite is kaju barfi and mewa barfi.
Tewari happens to be quite an old shop which is renowned for their Indian tit bits and sweets. I have tried their savoury counterpart from the other outlets and its quite good.
Things we have tried from this outlet :
1) Dhokla @Rs.13.00/piece (3.5/5) : The dhoklas are very soft, juicy and very good to the tastebuds. But, 13 bucks for one small square of steamed gramflour? Seriously? Too high a price for just one bite sized block.
2)Dahi Vada @Rs.35/piece (4/5) : Dahi vadas happen to be one of my favourites from Tewari. Cylindrical Lentil (Urad dal) Cakes dipped in a Yoghurt flavoured with sweet imli (tamarind) chutney, mint and topped with bhujiya. The vadas were pretty soft and the curd was smooth and sweet (can be a wee bit overtly sweet for people without a sweet tooth). Enjoyed it thoroughly! 😃
Final conclusions :
Taste Rate : 3.75/5
Value for money : 3/5
Hence, rating this place with a 3.5/5!
Recommended!😀😃😁
Happy eating!❤

There is a special relation with me and tiwari ka laddoo. Each year on bengali new year we greet our clients with sweets ... we have a business. Its been long now that we have been ordering from tiwari confectioners and never have been dissapointed. Never.. i love this place.
Heard a lot about about this brand. Yes they became a brand in the world of sweets nd snacks. Once tried their rasogulla and became their fan. So spongy and perfect taste.

Nothing much but a little take away from this very place. Has been passing a lot by this outlet and deciding to dig in finally and grab some laddus for home. Tewari has been fabulous with their sweets all around and nobody can beat their laddus for sure. This was made fresh and tasty breaking with just a gentle push. Loved it
The moment you come near this shop....All you would smell would be pure ghee.... Do try the Peda and Kalakand...It is absolutely mind blowing.... Pricing is extremely economical....A must try
This famous sweet shop is located at Minto Park near Rabindra Sadan metro.
Good ambience with nice staffs.
They use pure desi ghee in their preparations .
Love their laddu , gulab jamun which has perfect balance of sweetness, kajuborfi and singaara. Their singaara is the best
Pocket pinch is ok.
Very nice quality .

Bought home their Kaju Barfi one fine day. The sweetness balance is totally good.
Love the laddoo as well.
However the could add more varieties to what they already excel at.
Prices, the usual ones..
Just love their samosas. It bit expensive at Rs 14 a piece but worth every paisa. Visiting the place for the last 22 years. Best sweet shop in the Minto Park area.

I love the laddoos from here and also the pista and kajoo burfis. They are made with suddh desi ghee and all you will get attracted by is the aroma of the sweets. Sells mostly non Bengali genre of sweets and namkeens in the city and definitely one of the best without question. Happy Dining! :)

Have been visiting this sweet shop since the last 15 years. The smell of ghee always draws my attention to the shop everytime i visit the area. Love their all ghee based sweet products and in terms of savories - singara with sweet chatni is my all time favourite.
On my father's birthday I came here to pack some RABRI for my father. Had a dhokla too. In home, when we opened the RABRI container, the elachi flavoured thick milk and the heavenly pieces of milk chunks. When placed in mouth, melted like cream. Need to return to have some RABRI again.
My 1st Tewari experience is trul a wonderful one. We were out celebrating a certain academic achievement, and I decided to send some laddus to her home. The pure ghee laddus, at 12 rupees each, are truly a steal. I myself took home three strawberry kachagollas and one mango sandesh, all of which were quite tasty. I've had chocolate sandeshes before, but I've never tasted the strawberry flavor being used in such a lovely way. Hats off to Tewari for such a wonderful experience.
Good old dahi vada and raj kachuri. Laddu is always famous in this outlet. Good fresh stuff. Value for money. It's been the same way for years. Hope they retain it. Constraint for space though

Located on Lower Circular Road, a few minutes walk from "Rabindra Sadan" metro station, this place serves a pivotal role in facilitating people to grab a few bites on the go with its nice descent offerings of sweets and snacks.
Sweets are descent and tasty. Snacks are nice but a bit run of the mill, and somehow lags a bit to justify the pricing.
Overall, a descent place to grab a bite, or to fulfill sudden hunger pangs on the go.
Tiwari sweets was my all time favorite sweets shop. This outlet was very famous in this location. Ambience was really good. Service was quick. Hospitality was nice and staff were friendly and helpful. They have variety of sweets all were made of desi ghee, pure meva and chhena. They were pure and tastes delicious. My favorite was DilKhushal and katli. Their snacks were also tasty, spicy and true desi. Always a good experience here. Must visit place. Love to been here. Recommended to all desi sweets and snacks lover.

Perhaps the most popular and reputed outlet located between Park Circus and Exide Crossing, this outlet is one of my all time favorites. I have been visiting here for quite some time now, and I simply adore their Laddoos and Sonpapris. If I am hungry and am roaming around this area, I simply drop by and try their Samosas. Most of their items are prepared using desi ghee, so you might need to check the calorie count here. A special thumbs up to their Gajar ka Halwa, which unfortunately is only available during the winter season.
Tewari is a confectionery located at Minto Park. It has been there since time immemorial. It famous for its pure ghee products. Undoubtedly their quality is great. I have tried their Kaju Barfi, Samosa and Kachori. All of them were extremely deletable. This shop is highly recommended.
It was very near to my college so we often visit there.. Tried samosha, kachuri on tiffin time. Good taste... I recommend to everyone.......
LADDU... Best in d world i guess!! Made out of Shuddh Desi Ghee!! Yu cn smell it.. Chandrakala, motipak, jalebi, kaju barfi, badam barfi, all r awesum.. Rajkachori, papri chaat r also v well made!!
Love the sweets here. Slightly expensive but everything is having a good amount of ghee. Very good for the winter months. The samosas and imarti are very good. The kulfi faloodah is also superb.
The best laddu's in the city! Cant ever have enough of it!
The lassi is good too!
And also the kaju barfi!
Surprisingly, the quality gets better with the rush!
They have maintained their high standards since times immemorial. I love the samosas here, the most. Have had the chaats here, which are equally good. The kulfis they make are amazing too.
I remember eating reward samosa n emarti and kheermohan since my childhood, still can't get enough of it! There is nothing like tewari's taste!! Though all their stuff is made in ghee n is very heavy, but that's the reason behind its taste variation!! The samosas r not as spicy as they used to be a couple of years ago, but they r still good enough to water my mouth.
Do try out their food for sure if you are hanging around nearby and haven't done it yet. They make some awesome preparations. Whenever I visit this place I have Kachoris, samosas and Dhoklas.
My all time favourite jalebi's and samosa's are the only thing i keep visiting again and again whrn i have this sweet craving.. close from many colleges.. quite a hangout hunger quenching place during short recess
Tewari ka ladoo is the best in the world..
I liked samosa too
Chats are also good here like raj kachori is one of.my favourite here..
But ambience are not good as the smell of ghee can also leads you towards this.Tewari shop from a distance :-P
Tewari doesn't need any introduction in Kolkata. Excellent place for a quick bite of snacks or sweets. All their items are excellent and reasonably priced. It would be great if they could raise the service level.
A good place to visit if u are an indian mithai lover.. u also get sweets according to the season and festivals.. North indian varieties basically.. i love their kulfi faluda.. they also have a good variety of snacks like samosa patties kachoris and chaats.. not very expensive.. Visit for their food and not for ambience ! :)
Moti chur laddu is simply best..... best in kolkata..... Bit expensive..... Other sweets are ok... Nothing special.... Snacks are decent...
Located near to my college,Tewari has always held a special position in most of our lives..from its club kachoris ,samosas, dahi chaat to dhoklas, kesaria kulfi,lassi..,Tewari simply promises to keep us extremely happy and satisfied..on every alternate weeks its a must that i get to see samosas packed with its chutney at my home..all my family members are a great fan of this place since almost years..the most old outlet being the barabazar one..
A must try for all who haven't been yet..:)
A very renowned sweet shop in Kolkata. I remember this place from my school days when my mother would always stop by to pick up sweets for home while on the way back from our shopping sprees. I loved their Gulab Jamuns and the Kulfis too although it has been a while now that I have not tried but am sure the taste is still the same ...
This is located beside minto park,a place i have been to many times since i have tutions there..
They are a branch of the bara bazar tewari...they have lot more varities than their origin shop...They serve fresh sweets and samosa(for which anyone can carve)..
Do try out the kacha gola, strawberry sansesh and samosas..its yumm..
Being a sweet lover, i always love to have sweets from different shops. One of my favourite sweet corners is this. I have been visiting this joint from my childhood with my father. The gulab jamun, gund ka laddoo, normal laddoo, special laddoo, amriti, cashew barfi, shon papri, pinni, kalakand are so tasty and awesome that i keep on munching on them whenever i get the chance. At the same time i just love the lassi, papri chat, milk shakes, chola bhatura too. The main feature is that they always serve fresh sweets and the traditional recipes they always maintain. The chanachur, salted cashews, bhujia, gathiya are also tasty. Service is fast and dine in available. A must visit for gulab jamun, laddoo and shon papri lovers. Reasonable price according to the taste and quality.
Location: Beside Casa Kitchen, AJC Bose Road.
Another outlet of the Tewaris Chain and undoubtedly amongst the best confectioners in town.
The items on offer are the same as the other outlets and the quality, you would always find it to be just the same.
Food recommendations:
-Raj Kachori
-Samosa
-Kachori Sabji
-Ladoo
-Gulab Jamun
:-Silver leaves cost extra (Would be informed to you at the cash counter, Impressed).
The service is quick and the prices are pocket friendly with respect to the quality they serve.
A must visit. :)

This place definitely will not disappoint anyone with a sweet tooth. Be it their array of snacks or sweetmeats, everything is undersigned by perfection
Tewari is a very renowned chain of sweet shop/confectioner in Kolkata and needs no introduction. Tewari products are made from fresh and generous amount of ghee and top quality ingredients.
This outlet near Minto Park is very easy to find ! The strong aroma of ghee will lead you to the shop ;)
I used to go for computer classes near Minto Park and on every Saturday morning I along with few friends used to raid this place during break time.
As I mentioned, each and every item is yum and rich in taste, be it samosa, kachori or any of their sweets.
I used to order a plate of Club Kachori, used to cost Rs25. 5 miniature kachoris served along with tasty potato curry.
The samosas are huge and very crisp, priced at Rs 12 each. I also used to like the Lassi a lot @Rs30. There are other various flavoured lassis and drinks like milkshake available which are also pretty good to taste.
In sweets I particularly like the laddoo and Milk cake. They always used to be fresh and soft.
They also make sandwiches and veg items like Paneer roll and vegetable cutlet but never felt like trying them.
One of the best sweet shops in Kolkata, a bit pricey but worth it :)
Desi Ghee ki Imarti and Singaras are mostly what I have and boy, aren't they delicious! :D
Sweets are very good albeit a bit pricey. Snacks are very good too.
We are gujarati and my family is lover of the tewari samosa !! And what chutney they give...uff. With ksihmish and thick as paste. Nice nice. Samosa is a must have. I have also had Raj kachori here and it is also very good. Place is on mainroad so parking is scarce.
Very good place, samosa, kachori and sweets too. Loved it. Very very tasty.
This place is just heavenly for anyone with a sweet tooth. One advice for diet conscious people, you must let go for one day and just enjoy the wonderful confections soaked in ghee as they slowly melt in your mouth. There isn't a single thing that I don't like having from this place. Be it barfi, motichur laddoo, motipak, gulab jamun, shingara, kachori, I just love them all. One problem with this shop is that there's always a huge line in front of the billing counter, which is a big turn off as the place gets easily crowded. Nevertheless, you'll always come out of this place with a sweet aftertaste. This wonderland of sweet delights definitely deserves a 4.5!
A nice experience. Has an exotic variety of sweets. The samosa is the showstopper. But the purchasing system here is different. You first have to select the sweets that you want to buy, then pay and receive the bill, then show it to the counter. After that, they will pack the required items for you. You can also eat it in the shop or pack it for later consumption. Clean ambience. Prices here are very high. The price for a sweet (per piece) approximately starts from ₹25.
Nice place to have some snacks and move on!
Samosa tasted yummy along with their mithais. Go on try on .
Very good ambiance in the shop. Pure veg. Budget friendly. One should visit. I'm sharing latest menu chart.
This reputed confectioner makes really good quality sweets and snacks. They use pure ghee in all their food products and that's the reason why the price of their foods is higher than other similar confectioners in Kolkata. It's situated at a prominent location at AJC Bose Road, near Minto Park. This shop has a prepaid system, first pay, then eat policy. The service is good and the staffs are polite as well. However, it's not a big shop and the sitting space is very limited. Recommended. 👍😊
Oldest and best sweet shop in town. Authentic traditional sweets. Pure ghee used. Great place 😃
Superb and delicious. Kaju Bites are my favourite. They are reasonable and does not compromise on quality and taste.
Always fresh food.
Slightly expensive.
Location main road near gorky sadan.
Must try falooda kulfu from here.
Quality and good sweets . So hygienic and so good Indian sweet
The swashbuckling smells of Shamosha and kachoori are so attractive that you could not stay on the bus ... you must jump out from the bus and run towards the shop for a snack with malai tea .
The best moti choor laddo’s in town. This is must visit!
A very famous sweet shop in Kolkata. One can find Fresh and Quality Sweets here. The staffs are also efficient and polite.
A very good Marwari Sweet and Snacks centre with pocket friendly options
Signature Samosa and Signature Imarti - always the same and best from many decades - Marat poori sabjee too good too
A very famous sweet shop. Food and the sweets are delicious. I tried out the Rasmalai and it had very different smell. It was delicious. A little expensive but worth the money. You can order through swiggy, Zomato and other food delivery apps. They also provide sweets for birthdays, and other ceremonies. The place is a little small. And it's Air conditioned. It's near LMG school. You should try out if you haven't already. You will love it.
