When I was in my college days, I went here many times after college and literally loved their Kachuri, samosa and jilipis. Taste was good,but the price seemed a bit high.
Back to my college days.
I just loved this place. It was my go to place every evening. This place is so affordable and gives the original taste of Bengal.
Amazing food and great place. The kachori sabzi deserves special mention here. Perfect place to have a delicious breakfast ❤️
I was looking for some drinks in the scorching heat and then Sharma popped up. One of the best place to have snacks or drinks in a very minimal price. Absolutely loved the lassi. It was thick and tasted as expected.
I have tried singhara, hing kachori, dahi vada, lassi, chai, gulabjamun and jalebi. Well a perfect place for having breakfast. Hing kachori and chai tastes amazing. Gulabjamun is also worth trying. Dahi vada was so good and the way it melts in your mouth is amazing. The staff behavior and ambience were good . The food packaging is also good . Indeed a must try and recommend for breakfast.
Today on 13th March 2019 Me and my dad have visited this restaurant Sharma Snacks Center, Bhawanipur for the 8th time for some tasty and delicious Hing Kachori breakfast meal. In the celebration of England tour of West Indies and England Women tour of India Women in the Men's team in 3 Test Match Series West Indies won 2-1 in the 5 ODI MATCHES England and West Indies were tied 2-2 a piece with 1 Match being Abandoned due to rain and in 3 T20 MATCH SERIES England won 3-0 and now in Women's team India Women won the 3 ODI Matches 2-1 and in the 3 T20 MATCH SERIES England Women won 3-0. The food was awesome and delicious as well...and the staff's were friendly as well their services was definitely quick and the decorations were stunning. Thank you so much Sharma Snacks Center for making our day incredible.
Sharma snacks center is one of my favorite place.
I am not being partial in my review. Best place to have club kachori, Singada chat and lassi. Best part of this joint is that it's clean and keeps hygiene.

Much among the popular places, this snacks center needs no introduction.
Right from the morning Tea to the dinner gulab jamun. This has every chatpata item that you desire.

Have visited this place quite a few times (mostly for the lassi). Things that I've tried here are as follows-
Club Kachori: This was nice. Though a little on the chewy side, it comes with yummy aloo sabzi and instant green chili pickle. Am personally not fond of meetha chutney so I skip it.
Samosa Chaat: Sharma's Samosa, in general, tastes good. And so does their samosa chaat. It's just the samosa, slightly smashed, topped with the same aloo sabzi, dahi, sev and chutney.
Lassi: The lassi is very yummy. Rich with the right amount of sweetness and consistency. I usually have it with the "malai". (Also, you can choose the serving size of the lassi).
Gulab Jamun: Don't have a picture but it tasted nice. It was soft but the centre was dense and hard. Also it's a tad bit too sweet for me.
This place has been there ever since i can recall . As teenagers we came here to have samosa and chai . The place is famous for jalebies and who can resist hot jalebies right off the khadai . The kachori alloo sabzi can be had as early as 5 am . A khullar ki special chai to wash it down . One can find a Merc waiting in Que and a poor Maruti too waiting patiently his turn to be served . I never leave calcutta without going here at last once .
A small shop serving delightful Kachoris, Jalebis, Gulab Jamun, Lassi etc. They have maintained the high quality for a considerable period of time. A hit among its customers and why not....they do pack a punch with their savouries. Love the Club Kachori and Hing Kachori along with the sabzi. Their Jalebis are top class too, one of the best around.
Whoever says what, I am blind fan of their kachori. Absolutely love it especially with their meetha chutney. I have tried their hing kachori and club kachori and love both of them very much. This time around I also tried out their mini gulab jamun which were amazing too. This place never fails to make me happy.
A popular snacks joint always buzzed up with a regular crowd. Sharma snacks is renowned for it's kachoris. Be it any time of the day the crowd and popularity never falls .
They give u tasty Hing Kachori ₹7 per piece, served with Hari mirchi and Sweet chutney.
I had a plate of Club kachori also.. 10 pcs a plate.. small tasty kachoris..served with Chutney, mirchi and delicious Sabji. Club kachoris of the sharma's are a real delicacy.
Do try their dahi Vada also.. It comes for ₹40 a plate with two of them. Also savour on their dhokla, u will absolutely love.

Ordered dhokla, veg chop n khasta chaat n was pleasantly surprised... chop was very nice which i lyked d best, also d khasta chaat ws nicely made wid a big scoop of malai curd on top....very nice...
what can i tell about them ? here in kolkata when u name sharma a image of kachori come in front of u ... its very near to my home so from the childhood we are eating there kachori and gulab jamun... u will think why not 5* to them because some times they disappoint me with the taste there r not consistence some time
Located just opposite the busy Gurudwara on Harish Mukherjee Road. Is a snacks stall that is always abuzz with people from all levels and stratas. Sharma is known for its fresh and hot served Kachori and vegetables within a mere amount of Rs.28. Their Kesar tea is another amazing delicacy which cannot be forgotten
I'm sure most of the people have been here for breakfast at least once.
Their famous kachori and sabzi is worth trying and you must have it with lassi.
The food is served hot and complete it with gulab jamun after!

Just beside my office, this is one of the busiest tea and snacks store in the locality. Remains crowded most of the time.

This place is located in Elgin Road near the Northern Park close to Forum Mall. Lookswise, this place is extremely commonplace and to be honest, a little shabby too. But the food they serve here is what sets them apart. Although, they have a very limited number of items but whatever they serve is very good. The location too plays its part. The residential area with many schools, colleges, malls and showrooms located in its neighbourhood ensures a big crowd. This shop is an ideal place for having an adequate breakfast or for having any other snack. I have had almost all of their items with the Hing Kachori, Gulab Jamun and Jalebi being a few of of my favourites. It is a must visit for every Kachori lover as they serve really tasty Kachoris with a spicy Aloo-Sabzi. The Gulab Jamuns were very delicious and so were the Jalebis. Make sure you get the hot Jamuns or Jalebis because they taste heavenly. In case you are served cold items ask them to warm them up. You will enjoy having them even more. I have tried the lassi too but it was so-so. I have had better lassi elsewhere.A pocket-friendly place serving good food. Do visit this place if you are in this area. P.S.: Owing to the medium size of the shop, it becomes a bit cram-full during the rush hour especially in the morning and in the evening, which, might be undesirable. Otherwise, my experiences have all been pleasant.
Being a resident and having my college in bhawanipur, this small joint has been my saviour.
Sharma is known for it's pocket friendly yet tasty food and when you come here, this place do very much justice to our expectation.
My favourite is the kachori and the lassi. :)

কচুরি ভালো বাসলে এই খানে একবার অবশ্যই ঢুঁ মারতে হবে । প্রথম আলাপেই প্রেমে পরেছিলাম এই কচুরির । আকারে এবং স্বাদে দুটো তেই ভালো । সকাল এর টিফিন টা এরকম কচুরি আর পানতুয়া সহজগে সারতে পারলে বাকি দিন টা ভালো যেতে বাধ্য ।

Love kachoris? This is the place to be at! Rates are very low, but the quality and taste never go down. A very good place to be at, the service is also pretty good. Keep up the good work.
This is situated near Ashutosh college. Their kachoris along with the aloo ki sabzi and chutney are very very good. Kachoris and crisp and the aloo is tasty,making it a wholesome meal in itself. Dahi vadas,khasta kachori,gulab jamuns,lassi- every item is tasty!! It's a must visit area for hunger pangs after classes at Hazra :-)
I u need to fill you tummy with amazing food this is the place to be.. the khasta kachori and aloo ki sabzi is out of the world. Add a bhand of lassi which will give you the ultimate satisfaction.
This place does not need a discription.. Its a landmark in itself.
Any time of the day u can have the best snacks. My personal favourite is khasta kachori chaat and aalo kachori.
And recently opened Ice cream shop Ice Ninja makes the meals complete.

Recently i had an opportunity to eat at sharma alot of times and closely watch their working. N i can bouch for it that its surely amazing.
And the best part being that the shop is always so neat and clean.
The staff is cordial and nice. And then food is yummmy.
Its not priced high also.

Am a huge fan of their Kachori, Jalebi and Lassi. A small place, but packs quite a punch. The good thing about this place is that everything's served fresh and hot. A must visit option for a decent breakfast or a quick snack.
Have been here from the time I was in the school and college.. Like to go to this place even today with my family.. Must visit at least once to have their singhara chat and lassi..
nice food joint...chats and kachori are good.. so is their lassi... if you are searching for good food at reasonable price.. this is the place for you.
For sweets and mostly snacks, I would vote for Sharma Snacks Centre. I'm a big fan of their club kachori, khasta kachori and many other delicious quick bites. For authentic street food do visit this place.

The food is good, junky though. The pricing is decent and they don't delay your orders unnecessarily. There's always a crowd here. Everything you'd expect from s fast food chain. No seating obvio and no question of ambience.

I have taken bite from this franchise's different outlets in Kolkata and I must say they are damn consistent. All places taste same and they taste Tooo Gooood...Their combination of Kachuris...Sabji...Green Chilli pickle and Sweet Chutney is awesome...Just taste it once and you will come back for more for sure..
I used to visit this place often during my college days in Asutosh for a quick bite of kachori and sabzi or lassi sometimes. The quality of food is good and they serve hot and fresh food always. The prices are reasonable! 😊

Simply the best place to have some kachori and aloo ki sabji. During the evening the samosas are the best out there. Even lassi and gulab jamun is just terrific. They need to make a bit more room for people to eat inside. Other then that it's amazing place really. The food is great!!

Sharma Snacks Center is locally well known in Bhawanipur area.. It is very near to Allenby road where many PGs are located, hence an ideal place for breakfast.
When I stayed in a PG there as a student, I never liked the Sunday bread-butter breakfast in PG, so my morning destination at Sharma's was always fixed to munch on Gulab Jamun and the delicious Kachori Sabzi.. I also loved the Singhaara chaat.. MUST TRY SNACK CENTER.. :)

Whenever I m around this Outlet, smell of the tea draws me and I end up having tea n samosa. No seating place but if you are in your car, you'll enjoy. Specially during winter mornings. N yes they are open full night during pujas n serve club kachori.

In my college days,I used to come here for kochuri and sabji. After that, a hot gulab jamun was must. In the tym,tea wasn't available there. In summer tym,lassi used to be our fav item. But lack of seating arrangements,we suffered it too.

This place is ideal for evening snacks and morning breakfast. The kachori and Sabrina is extraordinary. Singhara is best, along with its mouthwatering lassi with malai. It is incomplete without its sweets: jalebi, gulab jamun, and amriti. Pocket pinch is less. The place is always busy. Eat as much as you want, yet the bill is never high. It's worth a try.

kachori and sabji is great, it tastes a little different from the authentic bengali style 'kochuri', which is the win win part. the hot gulab jamun is out of the world, its soft and melts as soon as u put it into your mouth.
chai is great. and one more thing you should have here on a hot summer day, which is the lassi. its yumm.. and it cools your nerves down.

Sharma sweets is a forever favourite for teaholics like me. But this one near bhowanipore is my recent discovery. I was not at all aware about the existence of this outlet of sharmas till last week.
Seeing this I simply popped in. I did not even think twice before asking for a masala chai. They were "malai marofying" the chai , so they asked me to wait.
And the finally the heavenly chai cuts its way through and I sip it. The heavenly earthern smell of the "bhaar" culminates with the malai chai and I feel heavenly.
This was followed by a mirchi vada and an aloo bonda. Tasty as it always is. What creates the deadly combi is the sweet tamarind chutney teamed up with a chilli.
Then my struck to the hot gulab jamuns. Although I know for a matter of fact that it is too sweet, but nonetheless the jamund straight hot from the kadhai was a hard thing to resist.
The prices are unbelievably low and this is surely going to fill your tummy's need and heart's desire without burning your pocket.
And for all those non veggies who are in dire need to have good veg food for a day. The address is .. Sharma's.. and you will not be disappointed.

The place is always busy, gives nice sabzi kachori with chilli pickle and sweet chutney. You can also order lassi and gulab jamun. Eat as much as you want and as much as you can and yet the bill is never high.
If you are there in time, you might as well get dhoklas which is a very fast selling item here since it is in Bhawanipore which houses a majority of gujarati community in Kol.

this is one of the hot snack spot if you near bhowanipore. the hot kachuri and aloo sabji is served with a mitha chatni or a spicy achar...if its a lowsy Sunday morning and you woke up late for your breakfast not to worry they serve the whole day ... even great hot gulab jamuns or lassi with malai are served which sweetens your taste bud!
Well..who hasn't heard of "Sharma". A quick bite or two at breakfast n evening works wonders for me. The mouthwatering kachori sabji with green chilly pickle and sweet chutney , the samosa with the same at such affordable rates will make you come back for more. The "club kachori" is my favorite ( they are tinier than usual kachori) because they fill me just to the right amount. And if you are a tea lover, do not miss out on the"kesar chai". Bliss!!
Love the kachori with aloor torkari and the pickle made of green chillies. It is incomplete without jalebi and amritti. Love the singara and khasta kachori. Its good, its tasty, its cheap.... worth a try!!

Everything served here is amazing... Can't complain about it... And extremely reasonable.
The only drawback could be the cooling system, that there is none...
So it gets tough during summers but cool yourself off with a glass of the amazing lassi or just get in your car and enjoy the hot yummy food

Having early morning tuitions had made it really hard to linger to have breakfast at home. So Sharma Snacks became our staple place fulfilling the requirement.
Our everyday order consisted of a couple of Kachoris along with delicious Gulab Jamuns…
And to end it all with a glass of Lassi was a delight.
The price is average.

Sharma Snacks Centre has been around for a long long time now. Sharma itself has created a mini brand for themselves when it comes to Indian fast food. This outlet rather small place with no seating arrangement, but they do have some wall to wall tables, where you can place your food and enjoy your meal.
If you want to grab a quick bite which is super tasty and don't want to burn a hole in your pocket you have arrived at the right destination. The aroma which surrounds the place smells delicious. Since I am not a morning person, I have rarely been here for breakfasts but in the evening this place is brimming with hungry people! Their club Kachori and the khasta Kachori is super delicious and combined with the tea makes quite a good evening snack at a modest price. Also I love their sweet items like jalebis and gulab jamun.
If out with friends it's a good place to hang out & if just out on your own it's always a delight to walk inside order their food and gorge on some super tasty fast food!

Located near northern park, this sharma sweets centre believes more on quality rather than quantity. A very small menu to select from, but everything they serve is delicious. Favourite for me are kachori sabzi, samosa chat, hot gulab jamun n lassi.

This is my favourite outlet for Lassi in my hometown, Kolkata. I like the special cream topping on their lassi. If someone is searching for Lassi outlets in Kolkata, then he/she must visit here.
Been to Bhawanipore a week back with friends to attend a wedding. And we were so tired of shopping and desperately wanted a snack to fill our tummy.. Jus then I found this Sharma snack centre filled with savouries. Gulab jamun, dahivada, samosa chaat, matka kulfi, the famous Sondesh and many more. But on that sunny day, nothing but a DahiVada could kool me down. And yes, it was "yummy for tummy" :-) do try the next time you visit Bhawanipore.
God knows what happens to me, but as soon as i wake up, I feel as hungry as an ox. So it has now become a daily regime to scout for places that open up early.
The only requirement is that they should serve good food.
As you all know Sharma is one joint most of us have been too, I go there mostly for the Pyaj Samosas - Onion Samosas, Club Kachoris and Kesariya Chai.
Also the South Indian guy selling next door, helps me with a few fresh idlys in the morning. If you want to drive straight to a place, where they serve good tea and snacks right into your car, this is the place to be.
Apart from the Parking Nightmares, Its my morning place to be.

And to end the meal with a large sikora of Lassi which is topped with Malai simply makes the experience amazing.

They do serve you in your car as well and yes, parking isn't that big a problem here.

I love this place for two reasons. The first is they serve pickled chillies with the aloo. The second reason is that they serve a tamarind chutney as well.
Every now and then I drop in to this place around mid-morning for a late breakfast. Its usually after a long and hard workout so I have a couple of kachoris with the aloo and chillies, which I absolutely love.
On other occasions I have tried their dahi vada which is not too bad with all the assorted chutneys and all. I don't think highly of their gulab jamuns but their samosas and jalebis are decent. The lassi although a bit too watery is also good. You may choose to stand and eat there or take your food away. If the kachoris are ready then service is pretty quick else frying kachoris might take up a bit of your time.
I love this place and will continue to visit it only because of the two reasons stated above.
when it comes to staying at mamabari how can sharma snacks center be left out...as a child my uncle used to bring me here and my eyes used to twinkle seeing those garam garam jalebis..aaahhh! recently visited here with my bunch of cousins here..and had a gala time over the food...its easy to locate just in the lane of the forum mall ...
we ordered for their famous kachori..and jalebis..gulabjamun,aahh their kachori sabji tastes awesomeee...and the jalebis still taste the same.and those gulab jamuns makes me salivate at any point of time...in this summer heat how can we forget lassi aur woh bhi malai marke...we had the best kesaria lassi here ...
i find it very much easy on the pocket coz u get to taste some awesome sweets and snacks..i really love this place and will be coming here soon again!!
Another hot childhood favorite i forgot to review it seems . Lanes and alleys of bhawanipur have many a surprise packed in them and this one of those. I was introduced to this place as i fell for their jalebis as a child. I syill get major sharma jalebi cravings . The also make chandrakala to die for . In fact i feel it is way better than the much talked about Chhappan bhog . The kachori sabzi used to be perfect for those days when pocket money used to go low and the singhara with its signature sonth ki chutney used to be mind blowing .
Now they have also stared serving club kachoris but i still prefer the regular kachori sabzi .
Sharma Snacks Center located in Bhawanipur was a haven for us right from our college days. Though I studied in Loreto College I had a number of friends at Bhagu ( as we called it) and we were always happy to land up and meet them at Sharma's for their lovely kachori and subzi !!!! Both the Jalebi and Gulab Jamun are also very good. They serve you in your car and we used to sit here and chit chat and stuff our faces silly because it is also quite reasonable in terms of the pocket pinch ! The lassi was a favorite in the summers and this is one of those places that has very fond memories of dear friends and carefree college days attached to it. Was happy to see it listed here :-)

Sharma Snacks Center - An early morning hunger saver. My favorite one.
This Sharma snacks center is located just in the lane opposite to forum. This Sharma snacks is my favourite because i love their kachori subji a lot. Their style of preparing kachori's is somewhat different from the other Sharma's. It seeks a lot of attention due to its prime location which is nearby few colleges like bhawanipur and schools like Khalsa, St john's.
Sharma is not just about Kachori Subji, it is also about the prompt service despite being a huge crowd of students early in the morning. Second thing is the hygiene out here. It's much cleaner as compared to other Sharma's in the city of joy. The Gulab jamun's and jalebi's along with their lassi are also my favourite out here.
I would recommend all my foodie friends to try this place early morning though most have tried it. I generally don't recommend to try in evening because in every Sharma i have been, they fry the morning Kachori's and give it when demanded in evening. Hence, it is not fresh and it absorbs more oil than required.
Prices have increased but no improvement in their quality.
Summary:-
Price? Affordable and Reasonable.
Ambience? Nothing as such ambience. It's a kiosk where you can stand and eat or eat in your own car whichever you prefer.

A very popular eatery in the region, frequented by locals and students of nearby schools and colleges. Paid a visit today and what struck me first is the rather substantial rise in prices.
They have the usual stuff available in such stores... Gulab jamuns, jalebis, dahi wada, puri with aloo, kachori, samosa, lassi etc.
Today I tried a gulab jamun first. Nothing much to look at, but it was hot and ohhh so delicious! Probably one of the best I have had. Pricey at Rs 8 (for that size and also the shop).
Followed that up with a lassi. A medium kulhar with malai floating on top. The lassi is standard... I had had better and I had had worse. Once again pricey at Rs 40. The smaller kulhar is for Rs 23 while the largest commands a price of Rs 65!
Another of those you must try once places, especially so if you are in the area.
Just Wow! The Kachori was superb . The Alu Sabji along with the emli chutney and the Masala chilli and top it off with yogurt. Breakfast simple and nice. We had some of their sweets too. Was really nice . The Lassi was out of this world. Wish they had Tea in this shop. This is one place I always visit to fulfill my Kachori craving . I Bring all my Family and Friends from all over the world whenever they visit. It’s a must try. Very Happy Eating

Good for club kachori sabji, samosa, chai and many more snacks item.
But depends on what you go for fresh and pipping hot club kachori sabji u must go in the morning.
Samosa u get throughout the day but many it is not hot enough to enjoy so then the heat it up in microwave.
Tea options are also there .....masala, kesariya in different sizes.
A very good snacks center at south kolkata. The place is small but the food are very tasty. Here they have a self-service system. I tried kachori, gulab jamun and Lassi. The delicacies are all mouth watering. Had a very good experience here

Sharma Snacks has been in this stop for over 35 years and for the last 20+ years that I've had my Kachori Sabji here, it's been incredible! Take their bada (big) kachori. Savour it with imli chutney and pickled chillies, maybe a Jalebi. The prices are very affordable. It is, however, a really small place that's not particularly clean. Round your meal off with an amazing lassi!
best place for "kochuri" in town, "lassi" is also a must try item here.

Excellent food. Dont look for hygeine as their basic hygeine is good but shop looks old.
Hardly and space to sit or stand.... But food is good.
