It has always been my favourite place to have the vegan food.
Ordered some of the sweetmeats from this old authenticated shop. The quality doesnot rise any question and the price is also not very high for the quality they serve. The packaging is very good and the service is very fast as well.
My recommendation for the place is 8.5/10 .
Will be ordering again real soon.

Yesterday I visited Sharma in the evening,I tried kochuri and also samosa.Both were tasty specially the nolen gurer Achar they served was amazing.
This is one of my favorite places whenever hunger strikes me real hard and I need to fuel up quickly. Sharma serves amazing kachoris with sabzi and I'm a huge fan of them. The kachoris are priced at 9 rupees per piece, but the quality is totally worth it. Their ghee ka laddo and soan papri ar great too. Overall a very satisfactory experience.
one of my fav sweet shops in that area had Hot Gulab Jamun and Sweet Lassi a few days ago. The Gulab Jamun was so soft and hot. The lassi was mind-blowing. really impressed.
This place always makes me nostalgic as my school was just few minutes away from it. A perfect snacking hub to make those hunger cravings disappear. Sharma provides a lot of options but my favourite will be the crispy Kachori and the delicious potato curry with the tamarind chutney. And not to forget the chilled glass of lassi topped with the delicious malai.
One of the best places in the city to have lassi. A glass full of Lassi costs Rs 40 and it really cools down the body. They also give a layer of malai on top of the lassi and the entire drink is very thick and resembles the North Indian ones. The other sweets one can try here are Gulab Jamun, Kaju Barfi, Soan Papdi. The Kachuri is also very good for breakfast and is served hot most of the times.
Well if you are around Deshapriya Park and want to have some breakfast or evening snacks, this is the best thing you will find. Hot puffy luchi with an awesome daal is just anyones utmost desire. Following some jalebi and dhokla. There are also more options, but this is what I prefer. Do visit once.

Recently ordered the club kachori and dhokla. Both were good.
Visited yesterday while wandering around Deshapriya Park and ordered the famous kachuri and jilipi and ended up with Lassi. The taste of kachuri was superb! They serve kachuri with a torkari, a chatni and some chopped chillies. I took a jilebi at the end ! Tha lassi was something one should definitely try! And the most interesting thing is they give a layer of ‘doier swor’ just on top of the glass. I was full. I also saw they serve dhokla and other bengali evening snacks. Will turn up again to try those unturned.
Anywhere I see a Sharma Sweet, I just hop right in, and if you see one, I suggest you do that too! Piping hot kachuris served with aloo sabzi and chutney! Add a jalebi to it, and end it with a lassi! You will leave the store, with a smile on your face! Do try the above combination, and also add one piece of hot gulab jamun to your plate, you will be satiated for the day.
Pro tip: Pack a container of their rabdi, and take it home, it's one of the best rabdi in town!
Another one of the famous Sharmas of Kolkata, their Hing Kachori with Bhujiya and Rabri Jalebis are awesome. They do serve a lot of good stuff, but the above mentioned two items are different, unique and in my eyes the stand out dishes served by them.

A place that serves you hot Kachori sabji from morning till late evening. Love the Lassi here.
They make Samosa Chaat in a different way with curd and alusabji being main ingredients of it.

Sharma's is a household name for hing kachori and tea by now . But other than their delectable kachori , I love their lassis . It's my favourite here and I only go to this place for lassi , kachori and jalebi. Attached with this review is a photo of the foamy fluffy goodness with buttery malai , a must try here! They also have parking space for cars, so that you can stop and grab takeaways easily , which is mostly the case here. All in all , you must be here for Sunday morning bliss .

Their kachoris are my all time favorite, followed by the delicious gajar ka hakwa, gulab jamun and jalebis. Sometimes, I've seen them making the kachoris smaller than what they actually make, when there's a crowd.
Gajar ka halwa was light but tasty, good for those who don't prefer too much sweetness.
Jalebis are always good, if you pack it, a lot of the juices falls out into the paper bag but still retains it's taste a bit, that's an added health benefit.

Dhokla's were in the shape of Idli's sized averagely but the prices nowadays are a bit stingy as per the quantity served. There were 6 only but they were cooking fresh ones too.The shopkeeper told me to wait for a bit. It was prepared within 10 minutes and packed. Taste wise, they are soft and juicy and tasted very good (7/10).
Mango Sandesh : Considering the price of Sweets, its reasonable and the taste is approximately up to the name of SHARMAs. I was not disappointed. Fresh, sweet and the flavour of the mango sprouted very well on the taste buds. (8/10).

One thing I did not like was that the man who was cooking Dhoklas was sitting on the footpath while cooking and used his left hand as a support on the bare ground, so, I don't know whether he touches the dhoklas with that left hand (Left hand you know why we don't use it to eat food, wise-versa for Lefties).Â

Located om Sarat Bose Road, next to Tamarind. I love their non-bengali sweets. Specially, i die for their sponge rosogollas, misti doi, kachori with sabzi.
I remember the time way back in 2009-2010 when this place used to be my daily evening snack joint. The hot kachoris, gulab jamuns, barfis, and the giant lassi are the best in the locality. The samosa chaat is also a good fill. The guys out here are courteous and friendly. Always been a pleasant experience.
I was craving for chaats so badly and searched on swiggy for the nearest places. Found this outlet of Sharma sweets...ordered Papdi chaat, Dahi samosa chaat, Mixed chaat, Dahi vada and kalakand sweets.
The Positives:
1. Dahi samosa chaat....right amount of spice and sweetness
2. Papdi chaat
3. Kalakand....it was the best Kalakand I had in a long long time.... (Balaram Mallick radharaman mallick is so overhyped...there kalakand is awful) ..YES I have a thing for Kalakand...one of my fav bengali sweet
Negatives:
1.Dahi vada....it was hard...just some dal pakodas immersed in sweet dahi.
2. Mixed chat...priced at 60 but tasted the same as papdi chat (Rs.40)
Being a Bengali, I love the non bengali Kachori and Sabzi way more than the bengali style.Sharmas is my all time favourite place for it. The hot kachoris with the brilliant sabzi and the chilies they give on the side. Such fond memories.
Don't be fooled by the appearance of the restaurant... It serves a very good sweets.... Cashed upon the gulab Jamun...it was super delicious... Could not stop eating but was forced to stop because of frnds.....a good place to have good food in that area...

Located in deshapriya park (close to tamarind, on the same stretch), this outlet of sharma sweets is a good bet for people for sweets and snacks.
I love their kachoris sabzi and sandesh. The items they sell are quite limited but include all staples.
The gulab jamun is amazing and if you are here on time you might get them hot and fresh from the fryer.
The laddoo here is not good though. They keep some sandesh items as well and I have tried their chocolate and strawberry ones and wasn't disappointed.
Another favorite here is their lassi though it isn't available always.
For jalebis however, I do not prefer Sharma. Maharani is way better.
Overall a good place for an evening snack.
These small along the road, walk-in mishti shops are so inviting that most of the times you just give impulse treats to yourself for no apparent reason. For sharma sweets, the real hook though is the creamy lassi with the malai layer on top. Add a plate of delicious kochuri with the alu sabji and its a delicious quick meal keeping you feeling full for hours.
If its samosa that you have stopped for round it up with hot jalebis or the gulab jamuns. Currently they also have the summer sweet - parwal mithai on the shelves. The dahi vada and dhokla were fine but not as wow as their kachori. For your next sweet pit stop, do walk into Sharma Sweets

Right from the lassi to the gulab jamun, the kachoris to the samosas, sharma sweets has only and only the best to offer.
The lassi is thick and sweet, topped with a generous layer of malai. The kachoris are fried to order. They are soft in the middle and have a slight crunch around the outside.
Another must try is the davi vada. I always make sure I pack some for home, if I have already assaulted my appetite a lot, with the kachoris and lassi.
If you want your kachuri warm and fresh.... this is it. Unlike most other places they fry the food in front of you so the little wait is worth it.
Lovely little food joint serving the best kachouri and chat in town...the dahi vada is a must try here...also the shingara chat is quite unique... However the lassi steals the show...on a scorching day full of heat rush in to sharma and ask for a lassi...mango and rose are new edition

Came here for a number of times for their Kachori with Aloo Sabji. It's really good. Not a very big shop located near Desapriya Park, a good place to have your evening snack often. Happy Dining! :)
In returning from an event, one early morning we stopped over at this joint for naashta. We called for kachori and dhokla with lassi. The kachoris were gorgeous and the dhokla was fluffy and dainty. The lassi had all my concentration makings it the common favourite among us all. We left the place with a full tummy and happy faces :)
On a sultry hot day all you need is their lassi. The kauchuris are karak and the green chilli anchaar is to die for. The round dhoklas are a speciality and trumps even the dhoklas at saurashta nimki house.
I Had Fun With My 2 Cousin Brothers Anooj And Andy, My Mom, And My Own Sister And We Had Our Breakfast At Sharma Sweets. And We Ordered Kachori Sabji For Just Rs. 7/- And Badam Sharabaat For Just Rs. 20/- Each.

A place known for its Lassi. Even the best of the foodies will accept that none of the other makers of Lassi makes it this yum. With that thick piece of 'malai' on top, this sweet Lassi simply satisfies your heart and mind at the same time. Moreover their kachoris, samosas and khasta kachoris are amazing as well.

Popular sweet shop at deshapriya park. Fresh and tasty veg food items are available here. Every Sunday after my music class, my friends and I used to come here and have kochuri with jilipis or gulab jamun. They also make club kochuris but not so very often. Also the lassi is really great. And a good thing is they use filter water for drinking.
I've always loved their items. The sweets are very tasty along with the chapattis and potatoes. One can't get bored of their items.
The lassi, the lassi, THE LASSI!!!! The lassi is what makes me come here again and again. Worth only 30 bucks/glass, this is pure heaven. The laddoo and barfi here tastes fabulous as well. One of my favorite places for satiating my sweet cravings. Cheers!
One of the best sweets and snacks parlors in South Kolkata that just demands a visit.
You've got a plethora to choose from: rasmalai, rasgullas, gulab jamuns, jalebis and more.
I love the Kachori sabzi here and have been having it daily for the past 5 days. The khasta Kachori is great and so is the Dhokla. You get good chat and lassi as well. Also try their Masala Idli.
The prices are just amazingly pocket friendly. You'd probably be full even before you spend 50 rupees on yourself.
In short, a must visit if you're near Deshapriya park.
Excellent food for a sweets shop. The lassi is a speciality and I would recommend the badam lassi which is beyond brilliant. The kochuri and sweets are also very good. The only thing I would suggest is to replace the flimsy tools with plastic chairs.

It is situated on the ground floor of the same building which houses Tamarind. It is a small shop but has some really amazing stuff.
Their hing kachori served with potatoes in gravy is too good. I just love their hot fluffy kachoris. But it should be hot and fresh,for once it gets cold it doesn't taste as good. Their dahi vadas are very good too.So too are their Gulab jamuns. Once you're done you can wash it down with the malai wala sweet lassi. Oooh.Great.

A great place for adda with friends. The kachori is the most popular item. They serve it fresh and hot most of the time. Apart from that there are sweets, lassi and others. There are plastic tools outside the shop on the footpath where you can spend time chatting with your gang as you enjoy their kachoris and sweets. The shopkeepers are jolly and wont bother you much to leave the place after you are finished. A favourite hangout for students studying nearby.

Visited the place on ganesh chaturthi with my friend. There was a tremendous amount of crowd when we reached the place , people buying sweets for their families on ganesh chaturthi. It is located beside tamarind on sarat bose road. Situated just on the main road it is an easy place to locate. The area around the place is really hot and is a bit messy but the snacks there are worth going for.The place is famous for its lassi and amazing gulab jamun.
We ordered for a samosa chat , dhokla, lassi and gulab jamun. The somasa chat was just fine. I personally dont like dhoklas so i didnt taste it but my friend really liked it so i assume it to be good. The thing worth dying for are its gulab jamuns. They serve it really hot and its so soft and delicious to taste. The lassi also the the perfect amount of sweetness.

Situated right on the ground floor of tamarind restaurant opposite DKS. The place have one of the best kochuri , jalebi and cold lassi with a lovely piece of malai on top. It is just wonderful.

Sharma sweets. Nice place small joint. This is the first place that comes to my mind when I want to have good lassi. The kachoris and samosas are really good.
Mind blowing kachori sabji and lassi. The not so health conscious ones should try the lassi with the malai. It's pocket friendly and perfect place for a quick evening snack.
Location: Oppsite of National Girls School and beside Tamarind Restaurant. The one of the most famous 'kachuri' of kolkata is available here. Had 'kachuris', sweets and a delicious 'lassi' here.
They food to have here: lassi, hing kachori and dahi vada. They are just fabulous. The gulab jamun and laddu are one of my favourites. Their samosas are good too. One good thing is that they serve the snacks hot always no matter whatever the time of the day.

Two souls walking out of tuition, their tummies growling with hunger and destinations' at quite a distance. As they walked towards the Desapriya crossing so as one could get a conveyance back home, the hunger increased and slowly they lost to it. They looked here and there...
"Tick-tock-tick-tock, 21:23 on the clock...
... The souls spot this place in a shock, coz' the place is almost ready to put a lock!!"
They hurriedly crossed the road with the order on their mind and there they were at the counter: ‘Bhaiya... Do Lassi aur Do plate Kachori’ (Excuse me, Two Lassis and Two plates of Kachori Sabji).
- The Kachoris weren't piping hot and fluffy but, edible warm and slightly greasy. (Last stocks)
The Sabji along was flavorful and tasted even better the drizzle of tamarind chutney (saunth). Sadly, the tempered chillies were over. Aah! Missed it.
- The Lassi was slightly of a runny consistency, but, tasted decent. The dollop of Malai on top is just like a cherry on the cake. The glass was dirty; changed on request.
The individual at the counter was friendly and served them quickly with a smile. The souls thanked (& paid) the individual and left with their pockets lighter by INR 64.
Overall a decent experience.
- Sharma Sweets is an usual haunt for people who love piping hot kachoris, Gulab jamuns, jalebis and fresh curd or sweets. By an experience at the other outlets, can be stated that you'll get hot and fluffy Kachoris until evening.
- Would surely visit over breakfast and Gulab jamuns someday.
- Has stools on the pathway as seating arrangements and also a small wall-side stand-n'-eat table by the wash.

I hope someday they stop increasing their prices. But the food here is pretty good! The lassi is especially worth mentioning! You gotta try it, with the malai on top of it. It is just outstandngly good!

Visited this outlet a number of times to freak out on their snacks. Coming to the food I am an ardent fan of the kachori they serve. So on a Sunday morning while finishing off some work I headed here and ordered
Kachori Subzi: was cooked to perfection with adequate amount of spice
Dahi vada: Could have been better.
Singhara : Again a good buy.
Overall the place is pretty good. Generally people either go for take away or enjoy their snacks in their car. I Price wise its not cheap like street outlets but is OK. Service is quick and prompt. A nice place to sum it up.

Well its a old school nostalgia. The Lassi what I had during my college days approximately 10 years back and the one I had recently has some variations but still it hits the right place. The malai on top is to die for. Better for those who has sweet tooth.
