কোলকাতার রাস্তায় সত্যিই অনেক এমন কিছু রেস্তরাঁ আছে যেগুলো খুব একটা প্রচার পায়না কিন্তু নিঃশব্দে অদ্ভুত ভালো খাবার বানায় বছরের পর বছর। এরকমই Hungry Tide, ঢাকুরিয়া ব্রিজ থেকে নেমে সেলিমপুরের দিকে যেতে গিয়ে বাঁহাতে গলির ভিতরে প্রায় লুকিয়ে।
এত বছর হয়ে গেল তবু আমিও জানতাম ওনারা এরম একটি অদ্ভুত খাবার বানায়। পুরোনো অফিসের এক সহকর্মী বা দাদা স্হানীয় বন্ধুর থেকে শুনে একবার লোভে পরেই অর্ডার দিলাম।
গ্রীন চিলি চিকেন, বেকন হ্যাম ডাই ফ্রায়েড রাইস সাথে এক্সট্রা চিকেন, ঝাল ঝাল সেজুয়ান সেমি গ্রেভি চিকেন।
ঝাল ঝাল গ্রীন সসে টস করা নরম বোনলেস চিকেন টুকরো গুলো পেঁয়াজ, রসুন ও ক্যাপসিকাম দিয়ে শুকনো শুকনো করে রান্না, খুবই ঝাল কিন্তু আমার জিভের জন্য একটু বেশি লাগলেও খেতে এতটাই সুস্বাদু যে থেমে থাকা যায়না। এরম ভালো স্টার্টার খুব কম এ খেয়েছি।
বেকন হ্যাম ডাই ফ্রায়েড রাইস, মূলত সগন্ধী গোবিন্দভোগ চালের ফ্রায়েড ভাত, সাথে কুঁচি কুঁচি বেকন, হ্যাম। এই ডাই ফ্রায়েড রাইসে মূল স্বাদ খুবই কম মশলার কিন্তু দুবার ভাজার ফলে একটি অদ্ভুত সুবাস ও স্বাদ এনেছে। সাধারণত আমরা যেরকমের ফ্রায়েড রাইস দেখে অভ্যস্ত এর থেকে অনেকটাই আলাদা। এখানে কোনো রকমের সবজির ব্যবহার নেই, চালের আকার ও আলাদা। এরকম খাবারের সাথে ঝাল গ্রেভি না নিলে এর স্বাদের বহির্প্রকাশ হয়না। তাই শুকনো লঙ্কা, রসুন ও সেজুয়ান সস দিয়ে ঝাল ঝাল সেমি গ্রেভি চিকেন এর জন্য একেবারেই যুৎসই।
অল্প ঝোল দিয়ে মাখিয়ে সাথে চিকেনের টুকরো সত্যিই স্বর্গীয় অনুভূতি।
দাম টাও জানিয়ে রাখি, গ্রীন চিলি চিকেন ₹২২০, বেকন হ্যাম ডাই ফ্রায়েড রাইস সাথে এক্সট্রা চিকেন ₹১৮০+₹৪০, ঝাল ঝাল সেজুয়ান সেমি গ্রেভি চিকেন ₹২১০। সব মিলিয়ে ₹৬৫০টাকায় দুজনের আরাম করে খাওয়া হয়ে যাবে। তবে এখন এই পরিস্থিতিতে বসে খাওয়া বন্ধ, শুধু অনলাইনে অর্ডার হচ্ছে বা এসে নিয়ে যেতে হবে ঢাকুরিয়া থেকে।
খুব সাধারণ তবুও যেন কত ভালো ছিলো সব কিছুই। ঝাল ঝাল চিকেনের সাথে কম মশলার রাইস দিয়ে এত সুন্দর যুগলবন্দী রচনা করতে পারে সেটা জানতে সত্যিই খেয়ে দেখতে হবে।
Brilliant n superb food.. Excellent taste specially chilli chicken n egg noodles and praws chilli, we had orderd. Its a small joint we orderd in the car and the food was really tasty. One should try this place for sure. Goo quality and good quality. U will leave with a smile.
During this new normal online ordering has been the only safest option. Earlier I had ordered Chicken Alfredo pasta a couple of times and it was very cheesy creamy and tasty. Yesterday, I ordered Chicken Stroganoff and the taste was too good as expected. 3 plates of Chicken Stroganoff is sufficient for 4 people. I would recommend to try their Chicken Alfredo pasta and Chicken Stroganoff both. ☺
I order 2 items from them regularly, Club sammich, and chilli pork. God dang it I love both those items. I'd give them more stars if I could.

Firstly the quantity of rice was enough for two.
The quantity of chilli pork could have been a bit more.
Overall the taste of both the dishes were very good! The pork was soft and succulent.

This is a two seater non-ac restaurant serving wonderful dishes, specially the sandwich. We were two people, and had grilled fish in lemon butter sauce which was served with sauteed beans, carrots and french fries and was a good one. Then we had the wonderful chicken, ham and beacon sandwich in spicy mayo. The sandwich was the showstopper of the evening, it tasted great served with lays chips. We ended our meal with chicken Alfredo pasta with added mushroom (chargeable). The pasta could have been a little better. The service person was really nice. The owner uncle too was really nice. This place is a must visit for the sandwich. One can also order it online.
We had ordered food from them on dashami night when most restaurants in the neighborhood were not serving. A big thumbs up for maintaining the food quality, taste and portion during the durga puja season. We stuck with the traditional items of gravy noodles , fried rice and chilly chicken. Each of the items were very tasty and is value for money.

10 years of hungry tide and finally I am writing a review of it. The most consistent and trustworthy comfort food joint I have come across till date. Have always satisfied my hunger and pork cravings. From their prawn noodles to bacon ham diffried rice to spicy ham bacon chicken mayo sandwich to the latest ham and cheese squares that I have had all were tasty fulfilling and one of a kind food. Also, how can I forgot the first thing I tried here the bacon wrapped chicken few years ago and I wasn't satisfied with it. Didn't order anything for few months from them but then again when I ordered it was a blast. So, here's to the delicate ham and cheese squares I ate today..a beautiful oozing cheese layered between perfectly pink ham slices. Perhaps, this what they call the pink of health.
So, happy birthday, hoping to see more decades of evening companionship of food. The mirth is still in the air and the night is still young. Do try their sandwiches and diffried rice folks.
This sandwich i ordered from here and it tastes really well and i loved it and they also give a lays packet with it and price is also reasonable and u guys can see that it is very stuffy also and bread quality is good enough so if u want a healthy food then i will recommend u to try it for once...
I had ordered "Ham bacon spicy mayo chicken club sandwich".. It was really awesome.. they put the exact amount of spicy mayonnaise in it which makes the sandwich tastier.. they put good quality chicken.. overall it was tasty one..
Ordered chicken carbonara with extra cheese and mushroom add ons, we were delivered this super tasty dish within time, so we got the chance to gobble it hot, everything was properly cooked and the chicken was soft and tender, the whole thing melts within a few sec after chewing, and it will make one order this delicacy again and again.
Ordered ham bacon chicken mayo club sandwich from this joint, their food quality & taste compel me to write this review. Taste ,portion size, packaging everything was excellent. Moreover I got this with pricing of 81/- which actually cost 180/- bucks in shop. Serves 2 pcs of sandwich which have 3 layering of breads ham chicken mayo egg & bacon in each. Uf!! Yummy. Looking forward to order more

Lots of fresh vegetables inside the container. At reasonable price. It was tasty. Pasta is always my favourite.
Ohhhh, the Chilli Pork Dry was yummylicious. The right amount of salt and just the right amount of sauce, and the pork pieces were so rightly cut into fat:meat ratio of 40:60. Quantity was great too. Just an advise, as we all know what can be the potential hazards of getting the foods delivered nowadays, it is always advisable to get the package wrapped properly with tapes to make sure it cannot be tampered with, en route to the customer. I am not blaming anyone and neither I have had any such experience personally, but you never know. But, I just loved the dish. Cheers!!!

Tried the pasta and risotto. Generous amounts of bacon chicken sliced pork and veggies are served. Portions are ample for atleast 2. The prices are ok according to quantity and quality! Definitely recommend this place.
Appetisers are awesome. Pork, chicken delicacies are mouth watering. Reasonable price. Good for for house parties.
Could have been better had there would a sitting arrangement along with pick and carry.
Tried their combo in lunch, egg fried rice and chili pork. Teste was mind blowing. Chilli pork was excellent. It's a must try. One suggestion here pls improve quantity for combo meal.
Hungry Tide, as to many, is all about juicy, meaty, succulent tasty value for money great food considering the quality of food that they serve. I am simply in love with this place. Apart from all the chicken and pork items, I have also loved the Thukpa that they prepare.
Ordered one Drums of Heaven and one Chili Chicken (Dry). Value for money. Both items had 8 pieces. More than enough for two people.
The chili chicken was fantastic. The pieces were juicy, meaty, and not very spicy. The Drums of Heaven tasted great but the pieces were rather fatty. Losing a point here.
Packing is good. There was no spillage.

Love everything about this homely restaurant. Have been visiting since long time. Recently I've been ordering from them. Tried the ham and bacon diffried rice, mixed paella. Quality and quantity both are great as always.

I live in selimpur and this place is a 5 min walk from my place, it has the distinction of serving an entire gallery worth of amazing meat dishes. When I was in college back in the early 2010s I used to go there for their bacon and ham apassionata, it's an original dish, has bacon and ham with gobindobhog rice that is fried in butter till translucent, steamed and stir fried with capsicum and bacon and ham and served with a cheese sauce, a complete filling heart warming, slightly cholesterol heavy (meh!!) meal.
They've some amazing sides, my favourites are the monogilan crunchy chilli pork, the kung pao fish. Their continental spreads are also worth the hype. The mutton hamburger steak is amazing.
The aunty that runs the kitchen is adorable and back in the day had many great conversations with her, even warmed the very small 2 table eating space many times. Whenever I'm at home for a meal this is the first place that crosses my mind. And did I mention the quality of their pork? You've to taste it to believe it in this part of the city where pork is still overcooked and chewy

This is a small joint which is located in Dhakuria.They focus mainly in takeaways .They are very famous among college goers.Coming to the food we ordered a mixed noodles ,chilli pork and spanish risotto.All were nice.The owners were very courteous.This place is a hidden gem.

Some restaurants become family. I would be too biased to write a review of Hungry Tide because I share a strange bond that stretches back to its early days. There is nothing that I haven’t had in my lifetime on that menu. The Paella wasn’t great, neither was some of the noodles. But most of the times, it was all smiles for us. God knows how many times have I had the mixed fried rice, the bacon and ham risotto and all that. Thank you, Hungry Tide, for cheering me up and filling me up whenever necessary.
Recently ordered pork fried rice and hot & sweet pprk from this outlet! The fried rice was kinda okay-ish, with ample chunks of pork. The pork item was simply delicious!

This place is known for well-cooked continental food at standard prices. The only negative about Hungry Tide across all its outlets is the lack of extensive seating arrangement and thus it mostly operates as a takeaway. I've ordered Paella, Carbonara, Bacon wrapped Prawns and Chicken and the Mixed Grill. The quality of meat was indeed very nice and unlike most places, the authenticity it imparts to these varied dishes is kept constant. (4.3/5)

One of my favorites places in the city of joy for trying out genuine Asian delicacies. Hungry Tide is a very, very pocket friendly take away joint serving from a wide array of authentic Asian cuisines, some of the dishes are very unique and rarely found in a classy restaurant.
So on a summer night, I decided to order dinner for two from this joint through a food serving app, and the delivery was spot on, so was their packaging with extra knife and spoons, very, very thoughtful.
I ordered a plate of All Mixed Fried Rice and a plate of Hot Sweet Pork as the main course. All Mixed Fried Rice is my all time favorite side dish from this place, that contains tons of chicken, prawn, egg and pork pieces, and quantity wise also the fried rice is really great, I mean it is sufficient for two average eating human beings. The fried rice is extremely delectable and will keep you wanting for more, and hence its my absolute favorite food dish from this place. The pieces of meat and fish are so well cooked along with that smoky flavor, that its a must have from this food joint.
The hot sweet pork was also good but not that great, as I felt the pork pieces to be bit under cooked, and were bit rough and difficult to chew them on. Otherwise, taste per se, its simply brilliant and very, very tasty.
In a nutshell, this place is a "must visit food joint" to check off your list if you're someone looking for rare and unique Asian food dishes.
Ideally would have liked to give 4.5. But alas, Zomato doesn't provide the option.
It's my go to place for most food cravings. Can't remember the number of times I've been there or ordered from there. The food quality is simply brilliant. Till date, they've never disappointed with their food. And, the prices are quite affordable. Overall, it's highly recommended to anyone who loves food.
I like their sandwich and fish items. main course is okay. i have tried their pan fried noodles and chicken honey. Sitiing arrangement is two table for 8 people.
This has been a place which is my go-to whenever I am in Calcutta. The chilly pork is a must try. Also, try out the bacon wrapped chicken. The guys cook the chilly pork to perfection with a perfect blend of pork meat and fat and the proportion of green chillies in the chilly pork being near perfect.
The food is good, if a little oily, and fairly cheap. I would have given a higher rating, but they have this tendency of mixing up orders when you're asking for a delivery and that is kind of irritating, even if you do get a replacement eventually.
Food is amazing specially green chilli chicken. Since this place is near to my office we always end up ordering from here and have ever been disappointed.
The small shop in Dhakuria is a real gem. I have tasted their noodles and kung pao chicken. The chicken was to die for. Very good taste in affordable rates.
The first time I heard of them was years ago. They were famous for their sandwiches and club sandwiches initially. Slowly, but steadily, they gained a firm foothold on most continental dishes.
Till date, I've tried these dishes and here's what I thought of them:
Stroganoff: The authenticity is unreal. Must try!
Paella: Another bullseye. The quantity is top class too.
Apassionata: A bit weak, but still captures the essence of the dish.
Sandwiches & club sandwiches: Best in the market for the price. You'll be a fool to not try them.
Overall, a very satisfactory experience every time I've had anything. Go to the place without thinking twice.
The best place to order in: they really have a good and varied menu. I've tried almost all of their menu and their chillie pork is one of the best I've had. Their food is reasonably priced and the portion size is enough for two.. I just can't get enough of their food 😛

Behold the Crevisse A La Creme aka CLC courtesy Tide ...Succulent tiger prawns doused in cheesy goodness accompanied by perfectly baked bread rolls and salad... Pure Heaven in a Platter :D
We were having a house party last winter when we thought of trying out a new place.... Enter the hungry tide. So we took our cellphones and opened a food delivery app to order. The menu is humongous covering every thing from a risotto to a paella to our very old hakka chowmein.It's was somewhat overwhelming for us so we ordered few items which we have tried before. So egg rice noodles and Chilly pork was ordered.
So now about the food well to my surprise the Chilly pork was absolutely fantastic, perfect amount of fat to meat ratio and the meat was soo TENDER. IMO it's the best Chilly pork in South Kolkata.
Well about the meifoon, it was exactly what a meifoon should be, nothing to exaggerate about.
Overall a totally satisfying meal it was.
Would like to suggest if you want to try something new and don't want to spend a lot.

Have been to this place numerous times! This is a very small joint located in dhakuria with 2 tables only..this is mainly a take away joint. Their club sandwiches are lipsmacking and the chilli pork is awesome 😍
The first time we ordered food from Hungry Tide was on the occasion of my birthday. We liked the food. Their continental dishes are really tasty. The food they offer is so light that you do not face issues with digestion.
Their pork dishes are amazing. Last time I loved their mixed fried rice. This time I ordered for a combo of Sichuan Pork and veg fried rice for home delivery. I just had to pay Rs. 30 extra for ordering a chicken fried rice instead of the veg one. Both the dishes were tasty and properly cooked. This time also I loved the pork dish.

A tiny outlet situated in the lanes of Selimpur, having seating arrangements for 10-15 people. I have always opted for take away. I ordered:
1. Bacon wrapped chicken: six tender pieces of chicken wrapped with bacon and served with cheese dip.
2. Chicken and mushroom appasionata: rice cooked with butter along with capsicum and served with cheese sauce
3. Chilli pork: this is the best chilli pork I have ever had. It is perfectly cooked and tastes great.
All the dishes are amazing. I hope they come up with a bigger space and also put up an air conditioner otherwise it becomes extremely difficult during summer. This is the only reason I am deducting .5 .
Service is pretty quick. Highly recommended place.

Affordable and cozy.
A garage-turned-restaurant, this one lacks air conditioning, but that wasn't much of an issue as we visited in December.
One thing that impressed me is that they don't compromise on quality. The pork pieces were fresh, succulent and well cooked.
We ordered the baked ham and chicken and the Malbari pork. Very different dishes, but both were pretty good on their own.The baked ham and pork was well baked and had just the right amount of cheese on top. The meat was evenly spread and every spoonful had a sufficient balance between the pork and the cheese.The Malbari pork was not surprisingly, very spicy.
Served with three parathas (made from atta, not maida) and a sweet homemade chutney, the heat from the curry perfectly complemented the taste of the chutney.
The cooking felt surprisingly "homemade", for some reason that I don't fully understand. But that was a plus for me.
Space is a little cramped and the seating could be made a bit more comfortable, but overall, we liked the food.

Went there during Durga Puja with friends, wasn't disappointed. The location is very convenient. Must try the bacon wrapped prawns with cheese dip. It's absolutely amazing! My friends had combos and the lady who took our order suggested me to try the carbonara. The carbonara was super cheesy and I guess it had bacon in it. Great quantity, great quality, amazing taste! A big thumbs up to this place! Will definitely visit again!

Been here a loads of times. And if cant visit there is swiggy now at hand. Love there food. They make the best food at best price. Have tried a lots of things here.
1. Ham, Bacon & Chicken Spicy mayo sandwich- this is a all time favorite for me and my friends
2. You really should try their Pastas....... Each one in the menu taste perfect namely... Mutton Spaghetti Bolognese, Chicken Carbonara.... Etc
3. Their mutton Shepherd's Pie is love. Give it a try.
4. They have started making Crab cakes. It is served with some spicy mayonnaise. It is okayish.
They have a loads of other baked items which is hard to find in other places. Try them and i am sure you wont regret it. Always homely feelings with super yum food

Tasty chinese food at pocket friendly price. It is one of the favorite home delivery options. We ordered combo-veg chowmin and garlic chicken, and a chilli chicken. The delivery was quick despite the rainy weather. The garlic chicken was delicious. Chowmin tasted good too. All the Food items were hot and tasty. They were also non-oily and MSG free. Quantities were less though .

Unlike the Hindusthan Park joint, this place has got few seating arrangements.
The rice dishes are simply excellent, and the meat platter is fit for a king. There is great vatiety, and although some of the dishes might be a little expensive, they are certainly worth it. For those seeking affordable food, their rice/noodles combo offers are cheap, tasty, and have enough food for one person.

That's what they call it here though in different words. And we felt the same too. Thus, this time chose to fulfill our Hungry stomach with the given Tide of the restaurant.
Day was Saptami. (And that's how we count during Pujo, these days we don't follow the calendar). We had a plan to visit the pandals near Jodhpur Park, and after the plan was executed, we went for the near by place to dine in. They don't have a proper restaurant kind of ambience. They have a big tent including proper sitting arrangements, at first it will seem like that you might have come for some marriage ceremony. Nevertheless, their food are marvellous. As all were peckish, so we enacted quick for Bacon wrapped chicken, which was proper heaven; and Mongolian crunchy chilli pork, which didn't last for long as all were famished. And for main course our choices were: Ham, Bacon and Chicken club sandwich, which can make you full by the one piece of it. Though they provide two big pieces with chips. However, other choices were mixed grill from continental main course, which was bit humongous but you will like it; other were Mutton hamburger steak, chicken steak with mushroom sauce and egg chicken fried rice. All were appetizing in taste. And it fetched very friendly price, just 350 each.
Therefore, I would suggest you this place if you are looking for continental or something different in taste.
