Ashma Hotel, Baruipur is a good restaurant. Good quality food with tasty feature. Quantity is too much. Price is also affordable. But the place is cozy enough and very short. Crowded place as situated in the Baruipur Railway Station area. Otherwise all good here.
Biriyani both Chicken and Mutton, chicken kabab, tandoori chicken etc are very famous here.
If you are in Baruipur and not tasted Asma's Biriyani, you are not a real foodie. Hihi, jokes apart. Asma is famous for its Biriyani. Situated just beside Baruipur Station Platform No. 1, it is a very crowded place, due to its huge demand. They offer good food in very less price. Though the ambiance is not great, but the quality of food will compensate it.
Fully recommended if you visit Baruipur or its nearby places.

But now the place is mainly famous for thier beef fry, beef chap, beef bhuna and of course the soft and tasty tandoori roti which directly come from tandoor to your plate. So if you are a beef lovet then you must have to visit once in your life. But if you're not a beef lover than don't worry you can also have their chicken dishes also like chicken chap, chicken kebabs, chicken halim also.. BEEF BIRIYANI:Â The rice was awesome in smell and flavour(in fact comparable to those available in Arsalan, Shiraz, Aminia) with a soft and sumptuous potato. I took one extra aloo which costs 10 rupees. Only drawback was the beef pieces were not that much soft which I had expected but yes far better than ZAM ZAM at least. The chewy meat pieces were the most disappointing part
BEEF CHANP:Â This one was just bombastic. No words to describe how mesmerizing it was. Class apart!!! ( I gave 4 stars just because of this beef chanp).
Awesome place. They have this legendary beef chaap which is probably The best in town. Always crowded and very fast service . Must visit if you are hungry and want a low pocket pinch. This is an extremely popular place for their biryanis and chaps in and around baruipur. Here you will also find yummiest dishes of beef. And obviously they have a separate counter for beef. I have been eating from here for almost a decade. Among all the dishes I love their chicken biryani the most( 100 rs). I always shamelessly ask for extra aloo and they never charge me extra. They also make lip-smacking kebabs.

Beef Chaap: I had chaaps from various popular joints in Kolkata but this Chaap in Ashma in one word is "Awesome"!! The beef was soft and tender. The Chaap curry was a mixture of perfect spices and it was finger licking good!! Moreover the aroma of the food is soo satisfying along with that its wonderful taste!!

The 35+ years old restaurant really hold some great history with it.

The homemade yogurt was too good & I'm sure you will never get such quality in any restaurant! After having our food, the yogurt was really a blessing for all of us.

Located at the end point of number 1 platform of Baruipur junction, Ashma has been dishing out delectable Mughlai items for the people of South Kolkata. The two storied eatery has a huge history behind it of more than 35 years. It services its customers via its four counters.
We went here at about 6.30 pm yesterday and was warmly greeted by the owner. The head chef is from Lucknow, so you can taste authentic cuisine of Lucknow in South Kolkata. The store serves a bare minimum of 800-900 customers per day and has done a great job in maintaining its quality.
We were served with :-
1)Chicken Biryani.
2)Mutton Biryani.
3)Beef(Buffalo Meat) biryani.
4)Beef bhuna.
5)Mutton Kasha.
6)Chicken Chap.
7) Homemade Yoghurt.
Each and every item were perfectly cooked. The biryani was not oily at all. It was delicious. The Chicken chap deserves special mention as it was out of the world.

Located on platform 1 of Baruipur junction, this not so tiny joint only famous among us southies has been dishing out mouthwatering delicious dishes for the last 3 decades. This is a humble joint that makes tremendous business every day. Starting from a little shop now they have four counters. It is spread out across two floors. The first floor has a separate section for women and family because the shop attracts hundreds of customer every day. They are mostly famous for the beef but their chicken chaap and mutton kasha is just as delicious. Their beef is actually Buffalo.
Me and my friends landed there yesterday to sample their beef and chicken and mutton.

Each and every items was lipsmacking. The beef was light and not very oily. The Beef bhuna was so so good. The pieces were juicy and tender and soaked in a rich delicious gravy. And the Chicken Chap was the hero among all. It was so soft and delicious. Marinated in cashew paste and poppy seeds paste, this one truly blew us away. Last but not the list came the Reshmi Kabab. It was the BEST kabab i have had till date. I am still salivating at the thought of the kababs. Juicy and soft this one was just fabulous. And the Dahi was restaurant made from the milk of cows reared by the restaurant owner. It tasted heavenly.I can bet you that you will not get Chicken Chaap and Kababs this good in any of the commercial giants that fill our city. Do take some time and dine there. Ambience Interiors don't even bother me when it comes to this place. It's been here since my parents and and probably even my grandparents.
