This place has opened where Backstage used to be, it looks like it's not operational to be full extent. The AC was not properly working at all the corners. The menu option was limited but the food was great. We ordered a prawn starter and brown chilli garlic fish then chicken breast stuffed with minced meat and cheese. Food portion size and quality was great. the cocktails could have been better though. Overall a good experience but can be better.
Totally themed cafe. Interior is not so extraordinary but the food quality was really commendable. Their themed cutlery is surely one of the eye catcher.
An awesome place to go with friends. Food was great and presentation was spot on. Ambience is really good and soothing. Staff is attentive and friendly. Hookah was smooth and mind blowing.

Remembering the time i was at Motor Works And Brewing Company at Sector V. It is in the same building on the lower floor of Bakstage Pub. A Brewery in the city that is unique in it's own way.They have 6 craft beers to choose from in their menu and the food option is endless. I like how the drinks menu has Beertails and many Beer infused Beverages. From the non alcoholic stuffs i was really happy with the Ice Tea and of course the presentation in a muscular shape handled beer mug is so good.
The place looks very vibrant allowing sunlight to enter through the glass facade at the main seating space and at the same time has a grunge outlook with motor works theme. You will get to see some quirky and creative decor keeping in mind the garage factor. The cutleries are all customized in the form of a tool kit and it looks super cool. Don't miss out the upper floor which also has a good space for seating but then i would prefer to have a good view of the Beer tanks and enjoy the soothing music played at the background.
From the food varieties i tried some of them and would recommend the Mohan Baghan's Karara Field, Half a Dozen Beer Puchka's, Chow Chow Bunny Chow, Six Assorted Nutty Driver Tool Platter, Nawabi Kababi Plank and Beer Soup.
These were presented well and tasted very nice too. My favourite would be the Chow Chow Bunny Chow. It had a twist here with Butter Chicken stuffed inside the bread. I enjoyed this undoubtedly.
The zomato rating is deceptive, it should be more than 4.2.

The food was amazing...majnu ka tila momo was delicious and chicken breast with cheese stuffing was worth it!! Loved the place too.
I went on to celebrate my wedding anniversary. I was a bit hesitant to go there because never heard about this place from my friend circle. But it was fantastic experience to have freshly brewed beers as well as the tasty starters. The service is also good and the staffs.
Definitely one of the best places to go for a beer.They have six in house brewed beers. You can ask for the pallet taste yourself then order your fav beer.Beer was one thing they are a brewery so we expect a awesome beer.But the meat lovers pizza was the best pizza i ever had in a bar or other than pizzeria.
Bumped into this place just by chance while strolling around in the area. Quite a rustic look and feel and music which does not hurt your ears.
We had Apple Cider, German Weiss and Belgian Wit. I was a bit disappointed with Apple Cider as it felt too watery and tasteless. For food we ordered fish chops but it turned out to be some version of fish and chips, and just alright.
I would like to mention Ankita Agarwal here for her amazing hospitality and an extra star just for her.

Craft beer was good, ambience was good service was very good too.
For food we ordered dabeli which was made to perfection and served with salad and French fries.
We also ordred veg tacos which was pathetic. The tacos shell was actually not made of tortilla but a very thick green color pizza base which tasted really bad. Nothing was mentioned in the menu and the waiter who took our order also didn't specify.
This tacos was a total disaster can't be called tacos at all.
Otherwise we enjoyed this place very much.

My all time favorite bar.. Their brewing beer is unique and tasty 😋.. I love chicken wings and chicken momos most and in veg surati dabeli... Indonesian satay and mutton nihari and refilling chicken.. Pomfret in sizzler they have lots of options... And one more thing is beer sangria very refreshing

Best chicken wings i have ever had! The in house craft beer, Wrench Racer is the best one on the menu. Delicious. The only thing i didn't like is that it closes too early.

Finally I found my peace with Cider. These mostly closest to what I had in London. The Apple Cider is the Showstopper. Chilled Fruity, Sweet and
Delicious no bitterness of the beer.
While my friend had the water melon beer vibrant in color n refeshing in taste & fresh.
Food is good too.

Loved the ambience and the beer. There was complimentary beer tasting at the beginning. Their special was the Rose Beer (really nice and different) which my friend ordered while I had a German beer. They have a microbrewery with horizontal fermentation tanks (better than vertical ones as it's better for the beer quality and flavour).
The food was delicious, the best being the Meatlovers Pizza.

Great food ! Our server, Chandan was very helpful and suggested great items. Wanted to compliment the chef on the exceptional food but turns out he was busy , so that was a sore point. But otherwise, great experience!

This place is like a pit stop from the car races, its all about antique motor parts strategically placed, cranks for table stands, intriguingly beer posters taking up space in the walls and the first of its kind (in the city) horizontal copper brewing tanks with a top dispenser piling you with signature craft beers not to forget the cutlery also resembling tools for repair at a motor shop.
Would highly recommend their Sunday brunch which to me is a top notch offer. All inclusive with alcohol 1500 and without 1200.
Beer infused appetizers seriously drops the kick start required. Beer battered fish finger or the galouti kebab on shermaal will tantalize your taste buds for the race to gastronomic experience ahead. The mocktails are a perfect side kick to it.
Coming to main course
Numero uno position goes to My way or the High way surely you should choose the way to the pizza because it’s a definite must try as you dig into each slice relishing it. If you need to refuel the tank with more then the pasta should take the second followed by the desserts which is like the chequered flag signaling the perfect podium finish to this extravagant gastronomic experience.
Bijay saha was very helpful in placing the order as he suggested some mouth watering dishes. He also served us in the best possible way . I wish to give him 5 star for service .. keep the good work .
Celebrated my bday here and the experience was mind blowing. Tasted all the beers but my favourite was Radler and the watermelon flavoured beer, its a must must try. The food quality was amazing and the service was quick. They play a very different genre of music with indo western fusion. Overall it was excellent.

The Sunday Brunch at Motor works and brewing company is praiseworthy. The starters kept revolving time to time. The beer was poured from the beer table (heard it's the 1st in kolkata). I found the revolving bar to be too cool. Ask for the cocktail and it's right there on your table. The food is too damn tasty. Dal makhani Bombay Dabba Lunch Meal is my current favourite in the main course. The desserts looked mouthwatering and were even better in taste.

I came along with 5 other friends of mine for the Sunday Brunch at Motor Works and Brewing company. Good and polished crowd. Too good food. Damn good ambiance. Service is commendable. I would surely recommend people for the Bombay dabba lunch meal. Be it veg or non-veg the food tastes amazing.
I loved the innovative beer infused dishes. The spinning bazooka wheel platter is totally love. The servers are very active and helpful too.
The new chilli beer is heaven to the taste bud.

There is no question about newly opened Motor works and brewing company is all about craft beer, really the best craft beer I had tasted so far in kolkata😉,and the food menu is surprisingly diverse and surprisingly good.😋
Atmosphere is "cheers"- lika comfortable, friendly and laid back watch a game on t.v and ambience is extremely amazing and some innovative food and beer pairing are there which attracts towards Motor works I was completely mesmerized.., And they have such a good and huge option for bar bites they name it tool kit chakna the names were too intersting and we tried the sour dough pizza that taste took me to Venice the city of good food and fashion very good n huge choice in starters veg and nonveg both sharing platters are also there and what to say about bunny chow it was juss wow n yummy!!😋 one of the best is Bombay dubba meal was good enough for a single person or can be share as well like we did...😉 yeah!! Now it's dessert time there is a variety in cheese cakes lika activated charcoal cheese cake and Kolkata paan and gulkand cheese cake, brownie is super soft and gui And in Motor works they have there own home made ice cream like rose, chilli guava kinda flavour

German wheat
Thik creamy body, aroma like banana and cloves are prominent. Compact head. Pale yellow color..
Belgian wheat :
Medium body. Taste like hoe garden. Lot of spices hint in nose like Coriender, cardamom, sound, cinnamon and orange.
Premium lager:
Malty and caramel type aroma. thin body. Light red in color
Lemon radler :
Very unique beer. A fusion in taste between beer and lemonade. American beer and nicely goes in summer
Apple Cider:
Never tasted before such an authentic cider. Drinkable mad very refreshing. Dominant apple aroma in nose with the hint of honey in nose
Chocolate stout:
Very thick body and better sweet chocolate aroma in nose. Belgian chocolate they have used.
We had a great time here and can't wait to return next time we're in town!

As a beer blogger yesterday had visited the place for the first time after hear that they have newly launched their brewery and was excited to try something new after here that they are providing the maximum no of beer in tap among the entire eastern India.
Well ,after taking entry first we visited the ground floor. Ambience was ok.Enough space .The brewery part is cleraily visible by sitting in the operation area.
First we started with the premium lager. A lager type beer , crispy , malty, aroma. Caramel taste.
Second one we tasted was German wheat which is a full body top fermenting beer.Phenolic banana and clove in nose .
Third we tasted Belgian wit which we found similar to the hoegarden like taste.Lot of spices they have used with a combination of orange peels that complement well overall in palate.
Lemon radler.This one is very innovative and top in the ranking what we rarely found anywhere .Tangy, citus beer with lemon aroma .Very refreshing and summer beer. Hats off to the brew master who made this.
Honey apple cider was the next was.Refreshing and easy drinkable.Subtle aroma of apple in nose.Combination of honey compliment well to enhance the taste .
The last one but not the least was the chocolate stout.A full body beer and they have used cacao nibs in their recipe. Overall we found very nice and innovative beer . A must visited place for the beer lovers .We strongly recommend. They have implemented some new cocktails and food in their menu.Must try

It is located in salt lake.
A pulchritudinuous place for the foodies. I have really liked the ambience , the foods I have ordered.And the most important thing is the behaviour of the staffs .They were very helpful.Now coming to the food- the dishes was too luscious.The cook took time to make those dishes but it was worth waiting.I tried 2 types of kebab and then soup and one Jumbo burger.According to the restaurant ,the prices was really reasonable.Last but not the least the ambience.The mesmerising music and the lights and specially the lounge.
I will visit soon to this place to try more different dishes.I have liked this place a lot.and I would definitely suggest the people to visit this restaurant .

The place is nicely done up and they have a trickle-out smoking area as well. I was there primarily to drink and so can't really comment on the food. The staff were more than good :) they were well spoken, polite and smart.
Lovely ambience, loved the decor. The thin crust chicken tikka pizza was amazing. Service was good with attentive and friendly staffs. They also have a brewery which is not yet operational, so will be back once they start serving their homemade beer. Till then Cheers and keep up the good work.

We were missing German Beer after coming to Kolkata .. Found this place which serves Beer Stein .
They have lots of choices .
We went there at 5 pm .. it was a bit early as we were only people there on a Saturday evening .. The service people gave us some beers to try and we loved their German type and the Watermelon one . We were served in 500 ml .
The Beer snacks were surprisingly very tasty and had interesting Indian Twists .
WC location is very tricky to find and it’s not great .
Overall it’s a place to have a good time for an evening for trying their brewed beer .

I visited this place 1st time.. overall experience is good. Food taste is nice ,prices a bit high. Ambience are different from regular resturant or bar.. over all nice experience.

As a Bengali foreigner in Kolkata, I went for a walk in search of breweries, and this was a great find. While the menu or chalkboard didn't promote the beer over the food or cocktails, they served me a sample of the 4 beers on tap to choose - Black Grape, Nitro Stout, Belgian/German (depending on which server you ask), and Watermelon. All were tasty but I opted for the 500 ml 500 rupee Belgian (which they claimed was a German, but the clove notes don't lie!) They served me some complimentary crisps. They had a buy 2 get 1 free deal however I didn't need 1 L of beer.
It was very refreshing to find a proper brewery in Kolkata and with 4 beers on tap I don't think any brew head would be disappointed, unless you are a hop head (since all 4 were pretty mild). Nice service, great clean space, recommended as a place to get a pint.
Place was good. Staffs r very good but food is not upto the mark. Still I will give four stars just because they really cooperated with us so nicely . Actually we have taken 5 underprivileged girls for lunch and they really allowed them to explore.
It’s a fantastic place to hangout with friends. If you want to enter the dance floor remember you need to accompany with a lady. Down stairs also you can have fun. Weekends better book the seats as it will be houseful during weekends

Decent pub and microbrewery in Salt Lake kolkata...all craft beers and pizza pasta are good and value for money. It's a bit cheaper than so called hi fi pubs in neighborhood. Decent ambience and children also allowed.

These were presented well and tasted very nice too. My favourite would be the Chow Chow Bunny Chow. It had a twist here with Butter Chicken stuffed inside the bread. I enjoyed this undoubtedly.
