This sweet shop is near Elgin and servers some great yummm sweets..I have tried gurr bati sandesh and sugar-free sandesh..both was equally good and the size was big than others..the price is a bit high but very tasty..
This is one of the best sweet shop in bhawanipur. They had varieties of different sweets, which were really delicious. The sweetness of the sweets were up to the mark and the price is also reasonable.
This is quite a reputed place and maximum of the people already know about this place. They are among the leading brands of sweets in Kolkata. Recently I have visited this shop and had some sweets and vegetable chops. As usual the sweets and the chop were amazing.
It's wonderful sweet shop located in Elgin road.
This shop is well known for its good quality sweets. There are so many mouth watering sweets, like malai chamcham, rasomadhuri etc.
The price is quite reasonable.
Had Rasmalai, Dahi Vada, Gulab Jamun, Gulab Sandesh from this place a few weeks back the taste was awesome and the quality of the sweets was just awesome. The p[rice was affordable. overall nice experience.
Liked the prompt and quick service. On recommendations from the counter staff we took namkeen and sweets which is much appreciated by all. Store is also very hygienic and nicely presented
Just loved the experience. Finally eating Bengali sweets in Bengal.
Too amazed with the pricing. Quantity & quality at par or even better than Mumbai food but pricing quite cheaper.
There were so many variations of Sandesh available.
We tried few variations of Sandesh & loved all of them except Chocolate Fudge sandesh. We tried MISTI Doi. We tried Rosogolla & Kesar Rosogolla. We wanted to try Rasmalai but unfortunately it got sold old.
Most sweets ranged between 12-20 per piece.
Many more Bengali sweets & farshan were available.
Feedback to shop owner : Please use AC when there is crowd in your shop. We were a group of 13 people & it was too Hot inside.

Sweets are mandatory after a heavy meal for every bong... Ordered 4 pieces of rosogolla and 2 pieces of rosmalai... I loved the rosogolla because it was spongy and the amount of sweetness was perfect... The rasmalai was so amazing that the taste was in my mouth for long... The rasmalai is highly recommended...
One suggestion to the place... Plz add gulab jamun in your delivery menu in zomato and ubereats.. As gulab jamun is only available in swiggy... So kindly look into it...
I have ordered kesar rabri from this shop. The rabri tasted delicious. The malai was soft and fragrant, garnished with kesar and pista. The flavour was too good as well as the taste.
Ordered for dhokla and samosas. The samosas were very good. The dhokla were good but quite sweet. They can avoid adding sugar to the dhokla. Will definitely try out other items.
I have been listening about this shop for a very long time and finally decided yo give it a visit. I ordered radha ballabhi with alur dom, chocolate ball sandesh and their famous gulaab papri sandesh. The Radha ballabhi was good in taste but would have been better if it was hotter. The sandesh was good both the chocolate and the gulaab papri one..
This place is very close to my heart since my school days. As a sweet lover, love all the sweet dishes over here and the best part is they made all their dishes with appropriate sweetness (not too sweet). Must visit to this place.
Clean place, good decor, great food and very polite service.
Gulab patti sandesh and mishti doi is a must try.
The location adds to the ease of getting there.
Sweets have always been a favourite delicacy in Kolkata, since ages.I personally like the sweets from this shop and would recommend you to try their items once .

Good collection of sweets and desserts. Price is a bit high but quality of sweets are really nice. One must try the malai chamchams , kulfi malai etc .
Sweets were nice both sandesh & rossogolla but the samosa was cold. It needed to be more fresh and hot. I hope my concern will be taken seriously by the shop and next time i will be able to get hot samosas.. otherwise sweets were nice and delicious.

This place is certainly under rated. I had ordered Strawberry sandesh through an online delivery app.
The packing was good. The sweets looked good and tasted great.
Price - Rs.15 each which is quite reasonable considering the quality.
Recommended!
Excellent mishti doi(sweet yoghurt),the taste just sticks to your palate for long and tempts you to keep having more. Their abarkhabo is an out of the world experience unlike the typical traditional ones. It's more of gourmet with a continental touch flavored with pineapple. Desserts are truly excellent in taste and presentation.
Bong and Sweets – well, you will hardly get such beautiful relationship. Yes, from worshipping the God to any special occasion, something might get changed but the Sweet part always remain constant. So, to taste some unique flavor & authentic sweet, we reached Nepal sweet.
Location – Located near the St. John Diosean High School at Sarat Bose Road. Very convenient place, so nothing hard to find it.
Now let’s come to the review part.
**Positive Points –
1. Quality – with some brilliant quality, the shop impressed us a lot.
2. Authenticity – The flavor of each sweet was truly impressive.
3. Collection – From ‘Norompak’ to ‘Korapak’, you will get everything here. Also the huge variety in snacks item was also too good.
**Negative Points –
1. Spacing – The space inside of the shop was really short, but it really has no solution.
2. Pricing – Actually it is not like real negative points, but pricing of some items I personally feel a bit overpriced.
**Now come to the food part. Well, we tried a lots of sweet, but few of them really won my heart with the taste. The sweets, that I will recommended is-
- Gulab Sandesh (This one is their own special item & you will never get this item outside except here)
- Kaju Diamond Barji
- Rasmalai
- Kaju Anjer Bati
- Kesari Chanar Payesh
- Kaju 2 in one
**Also the lassi & the khasta kachori with peas filling are the recommended items here.**
So in conclusion, I must say this shop is the must visit place for every sweet lovers. Come here & have your favourite sweet, & I’m sure the shop will easily took your heart away. Overall a great time we all spent over some pure authentic sweet.
Nepal Sweets is one of the oldest sweet shop in Calcutta. They offers some authentic and innovative sweets to the customers.
Located near St. John's Diosean High School in Sarat Bose Road.
Nepal sweets are famous for their Gulab Patti Sweet(Sandesh) which comes with A Rose Petal on top. The good thing about this sweet is that they grows these Roses on their own farm.
So here I recommend some of their best sweets that are available on the shop :
Rasmalai
Kesari Chanar Payesh
Pesta Roll
Kaju Anjer Roll
Kaju Diamond Barfi
Kaju Anjer Bati
Chocolate Butterscotch Kaju Bati
Kaju 2 in 1
Kaju Chocolate Ball
Gulab Patti Sandesh
Apart from these sweets they also offer some delicious snacks such as Khasta Kachouri filled with Koraisutir Pur(Peas), Paneer Roll, Singara and many more.
"Nepal Sweet" - as the name suggests, has nothing to do with the beautiful country which's north to the compass of our city, nor originates or derives it's flavours from there but is all about the "NAME GAME" our sweet shop Dynasty's of kolkata are so good with.
Opening it's door in elgin, it's a treat to the people of south kolkata, especially the one's who are a cashew fanatic.
Their sweet are all about going "NUTS",
I MEAN literally!
Their experimentation with cashew, almond and various types of mishti infused with kaju in it's different forms and styles shows their obsession with the flavour of BADAAM.
The moment you enter this sweet shop, the aroma of kheer playing with that of cashew, is all about pure celebration of sweetness, made with love.
Kaju chocolate ball, kaju bati, kaju puri, kaju 2 in 1, chocolate butterscotch kaju bati and the list continues.
Kaju is an OBSESSION.
Gulab patti, Moti pakh & Dil Khushi are amongst the best when shifting to the other varieties, leaving the CASHEW festival a break.
But if you want to take a break from the mishtimania and indulge into some small bite food or snacks, do give their KORAI SHUTIR "Khasta Kochuri" a try.
That delicate amount of sweetness confused witha jhaal, hot & KHASTA(Crispy) outer lining, is the thing, that gives you an EDGE to this pleasant SUNDAY afternoon.
Other member's of the NEPAL Sweet menu card which are to give a run for your money are their dhokla, monoronjon sweet, Kesari chhanar payesh, rasmalai & lassi.
So, when are you taking your tummy to Nepal Sweets for a rollercoaster ride of sweetness & flavours?

A renowned sweet/ mithai shop, its name and fame has spread far and wide....outside the city of Kolkata as well. Friends and relatives from far and near request us for mithai from Nepal Sweets. Also during festive season if we present a box of sweets from here the recipients feel really happy. I've bought sweets from here on many occasions...for personal consumption, for gifting during festivals and also for sending or taking for those residing elsewhere. My personal favourite and the favourite of my relatives outside Kolkata..is the gulab Patti Sandesh, which basically is a chena Sandesh with a gulab flavour and rose petal on top. But all love it. There is a huge variety of mithai available here, from north Indian to cbengali Sandesh, Rassogollas and mishti doi. They also have Lassi and chats and other savouries. All are Topnotch at this mithai shop.
Yummy sweets of great quality. Love their mishti doi and baked desserts. Its our go to place for traditional bengali sweets..................
Great sweets. Try their Nolen Gur items. They are simply heavenly! Nepal Sweets in Elgin is definitely one of the best sweet shops in Kolkata!
After walking past it on numerous times. I decided its time to pay a little visit. The patty i had was tasty. The chutney was nice. The sweets seem to be priced high.
Recently had sweets from this place.. It was very nice and would definitely want to mention their half open samosa like think which they sell (dont know the name) the stuffing in it was just too good

One of my favourite confectionary shop situated at elgin road. Pocket pinch is reasonable compared to their quality and variety of sweets. Try it definitely recommended.
It's a nice place located in the sarat bose road opposite to the St John's diocesan school and beside the archies gallery, it is good for sweets and snacks . My favourite is their Chinese samosa 😙.
This is one kind of a place. I have lots of childhood memories with this sweet shop 'Cause my school was there nearby to This place.
This is located in the Elgin Road ( Landsdowne )...
Service is prompt and staffs are cooperative.
This sweet shop is known as The Gulab Sandesh Shoppe for a reason... Gulab sandesh here is a must try... One can feel the flavour and essence of rose once have it.
I tried Lassi and papri chart from this place as well. They taste good. Overall not a bad experience. Pocket pinch is not too high.
They is no doubt that Bengali sweets taste best in the world and Bengal has a golden history of hundreds of years in this field and they have invented many new sweets. The creativity in sweet making and its artistic presentation was something that undoubtedly brought fame to Bengal. The sweet shop spoils you for choice with extensive options, with each having a unique taste. The shop itself a legend in the world of Bengali sweets makers. All sweets are excellent, but my all time favorites are Golap Sandesh and Kadaisutir Khsata Kachuri. They have been mastering their hands on Indian sweets. They serve some lip smacking sweets without compromising the quality.
Being a Bengali I really love to eat sweets, either it is a sondesh or rosher misti. There are many sweet shops in Kolkata, some of them very famous since long back, this joint is one of them . Striving hard through the legacy of some of the other well known names in this field, Nepal Sweets has grown with time by building its own reputation and positive vibe in this field, by serving fine quality sweets and other savories since a long time now. For this particular brand, it is not only about the quality.
Bengali confectionery is all about various types of sweet. and a bong can’t live without having sweets. in every sweet shop you will find authentic and traditional sweets as well as varieties of new generation sweets. apart from the sweets if you ever went to a sweet shop in the morning then you know that the smell of fried foods like Singara,Kachuri with aloor dom, round shaped fried kochuri. from my childhood memory when i used to go to the school in the morning, everyday those fried kachuris are one of my secondary meal in the tiffin time. my personal favorite sweet is rosogolla and selective sondesh like kachagolla, chap sondesh & any type of kora paker misti made with kheer. recently i and my fellow foodie friends went to sweet shop which is quite very famous and very old where we tried varieties of sweets.
So this city famous for Bengali sweets, never disappoints in their sweet department. Though named as Nepal sweets, it had the perfect taste of Bengali sweets. Rasgulla, kesar Rasgulla, baked chamcham, ras malaai and sandesh all being perfect in taste and did give me any opportunity for a perfect rating
Rose Sandesh is their speciality.... Khir Kadam is also terrific...
It being decades that they have mastered rose Sandesh.... No one can beat them in that in the town....
The sweets here are yummy.
The gulab patti sandesh mouth watering.
No one can have just one.
This shop is near my maasi's place and she is the one who has addicted us of their sweets.

Their rose sondesh is the best, look wise and taste wise is absolutely great.
Icecream sondesh , Gur rosogolla are also a worthy try.
Pocket pinch is reasonable as per quality .
The sweets were not as good as I had heard they are. I was dissapointed with chocolate sandesh. However, the gulab sandesh and dhokla were great!
