I'm from Gokhale Memorial college! Sugar and Spice is just beside my college. I guess I have tried everything from Sugar and Spice 😂 Pastries, cupcakes, coffee, sandwiches, cutlets, fries and what not!! Even 2 years ago, Sugar and Spice helped me to get my boyfriend 🤫

I visited this place recently and I tried their gur malai. It was really good and yum. Taste was very nice. 6 pieces of small malai was baked with gur or jaggery. I loved it. Price is reasonable. Staff's behaviour was good.
Nothing new to say about this place. They serve some yummy pastries,cakes and snacks items. Tried few from their menu. Veg cutlet was tasty.
As the name suggests this small snacking corner offers sugar and spice, that is it offers cakes and pastries aw well as pizzas and sandwiches. A pocket-friendly place that is gonna fill your tummy with good food at times you are running out of money and time. It doesn't offer anything extraordinary. A very pocket friendly outlet. Nothing to say new about this. Food quality is very good. It opens by 8:30 am and has a huge sitting area. This one's the biggest outlet of all. The desserts are really fresh. They also have live pizza and shwarma salad counter both veg and non veg. They also have tea and coffee and other refreshments.
This one is situated just opposite SSKM Hospital, and beside Gokhale memorial Girls and spread over two floors including a food court on the first floor. The ground floor serves the usual snacks and pastry and also has sitting arrangements. The items are reasonably priced and the place has a certain amount of rush throughout the day considering the location.
I went there with one of my friend.. Situated beside gokhel girls school.. Food is freshly prepared here.. Overall nice place of casual hangouts
This place is a pocket friendly place for students as well as common people .they serve delicious food with minimal rates.
They have variety type of spicy snacks including chicken kabiraji ,chicken sandwich etc
On top of the cafe there you've their self owned restaurant "signature" they serve tasty continental , Chinese for supper .

As each person passes by the road leading to SSKM Hospital, she is bound to be mesmerized and make a visit to this Bhawanipur outlet perforce as the sweet aroma of freshly baked pasteries and cakes blends totally with the surrounding air. It is located right beside my college. A very convenient place to hangout. The bakery items are good. The coffee tastes amazing. The restaurant serves delicious and affordable food. I love the Singaporean rice noodles. Service is good enough.
The Sugar and Spice outlet is located opposite to the p.g hospital is one of the big seller of snacks here. I visited here to try some pastry here. Cakes were quite fresh and good in quality. I tried their Vanila Cake which was pretty good.

Yes this place is located opposite to the p.g hospital....i liked the place because sitting place was there u can relax and eat.... Many food varities was there specially the chocolate i ordered chicken pizza is tooooo good grilled chicked and latte coffee and black tea....good
The place is located near SSKM Hospital, just beside Gokhel memorial girl's college. This is one of the biggest restaurant kind of outlet and good lots and lots of items in their Menu list. It is just beside the factory where they prepare their items. I ate few patties from that shop and those were really delicious. Even we ate some soft drinks and they were well prepared. It is nice place to hang out with friends.
Food is good with affordable prices.. But ready made cake is very less in stock with no variety that lil disappointed me..service is prompt staff are helpful. Kid friendly environment
This two levelled bakery and restaurant is a classy combination of restaurant in the upper floor and a cafe in the lower base. One of the first centres of the outlet it is known for its lip smacking snacks and pastries that sedate the hunger of the nearby College students. They also give you an extra 5% off, if you provide them with your Id card.
Sugar and spice in bhawanipore is a one shot destination for pocket friendly bakery stuffs. You can also have a full fledged meal here . the place is quite huge and i guess the only one among the branches which has seating arrangement.
Ambience: good, spacious, there is seating here, which other Sugar &Spice outlets lack.
Food: usual pastries,c makes and savouries are there. They are ok. Nothing great.
Service: could be better
Can visit if in the locality but not otherwise. Even then , whether to visit or not is debatable because there are better options close by, especially for us vegetarians.

The most beautiful "Sugarr & Spice" in town and maybe it's the only one worth reviewing.
The location is near the Balwant Singh's Eating house.
The store is quite big and spacious and couple of sitting arrangements are also there.
I was quite surprised to know that this one serves shawarma along with many other type of sandwiches and cakes that are not available elsewhere.
So we had shawarma along with a sandwich and burger. Shawarma wasn't that good though the other two was quite upto the mark.
So all and all it was a good visit, next time I will try the dessert section as well.

Very popular name not only in Kolkata but also in West Bengal and even in India. Every item is up to the mark and this two floor joint in front of the SSKM emergency gate adjacent to the Sugarr and Spice factory. I had there a chicken burger and it was very juicy and tender.
This place is located opposite SSKM Hospital. I bought my friend's birthday cake from here and it was super tasty. It wasn't too sweet and also it was filled with chocolate chips which made it even more alluring.

This is the largest outlet in Kolkata located opposite the SSKM hospital. They have their factory just beside the outlet. The taste of pastries and the savories are very different from outher outlets which is fresh and tasty. They have spacious area with seating arrangements too.
Best and large sugar & spice outlet in Kolkata. All item is fresh because it's factory is sideby. Varieties items are available which are not available in other outlets. Good place to hang and chat. Spacious place.
This cake shop will always hold a special place in my heart.It was an integral part of my school life,I remember whenever I wanted some fancy lunch I use to get it from this place.This place was half it's present size when it started.But over the years it has improved both in quality and ambiance.This place taught me the definition of a cake shop so it will always be the best for me.
This is one of the biggest outlet of Sugarr & Spice opposite to the PG hospital... Went there couple of years back.... Tried some of their pastries other items. Food were extremely fresh (For little knowledge: their factory situated behind that store)..
This no doubt is one of the best outlet of ' the sugar and spice' .. It was not a planned outing , we were out for a late morning walk and the hunger pangs struck us.. So we went to this place with some doubt whether they will have anything nice to offer
We had grilled chicken sandwich , chicken Shawarma salad and fruit punch.. The club chicken sandwich was perfect with a good quantity of chicken ( I love it) shawarma salad was also delicious ..

The pastries r really very tasty. But the patties r sometimes stale, especially the dish boat. Shawarma salad is very tasty, u would start locking your plates after having it. They have started serving combos at a very low price. We had the noodles combo which contains noodles and three pieces of chilli chicken.. The quantity was enough for one person,but the chicken was very boney and the gravy was watery.. Combo costs rs 60 per plate

This is one of my favourite places for desserts and snacks. I love almost all the desserts here. The quality of each and every item is just exceptional. The price tag is good too. The place is spacious and the ambience is just perfect for a lovely session of gossip with friends. These are my favourite items which I generally order:
#Chicken Shawarma Salad: It is just "sinfully tasty". They just make it absolutely delicious. The chicken pieces is quite good in numbers and the mayonnaise is well mixed making it heaven in mouth.
#Chicken Club Sandwich : The two layered sandwich is just awesome to be precise. The upper made with cheese while the lower layer is all spicy and saucy making it a lovely combination.
# Chocolate moose : The best moose I have ever tasted. Its just something more to every good thing you want to describe. The best thing is you will get a chocolate spoon along with it.
#Chocolate Tart : Another dessert which will make you love this place more and more.
I don't remember the names but all the desserts i had here is worth their money.
A must go place with very little stress given to your pocket.

This is one of the bigger outlets in town. So many options available, in terms of snacks, cakes, pastries, etc. Great job to the management to have come up so nicely in such a location, at Bhawanipur Gurdwara crossing. You get an option to sit and enjoy your bite at the offerings. Efficient staff and nicely maintained floor. Rates are at par with other outlets.

After Monginies the Sugarr & Spice were always the heart of the town. This shop is located just opposite to the SSKM Hospital. This is most probably the biggest Sugar & Spice outlet in Kolkata & the reason behind that is the main bakery of Sugar & Spice is located just beside it, where all the cakes & pattie magic is created. So they want this shop to showcase most of their foods & it is highly visible. You will get a lot of place to sit around & enjoy their bakery foods. About foods Sugar & Spice always deliver such great delicious fresh foods for a value for money price point. The taste of the foods are no differ than other shops but its little more fresh just for that reason. If you are near Exide then it is a highly recommend place to enjoy some real good pastry experience.
The food and service is very nice , A beautiful Ambience and the way they put their food on display is very lucrative . A great place for college and Regular people for a snack and even a dinner or lunch . I will surely recommend this to my friends.

Just beside Gokhale Memorial College & opposite SSKM hospital, this is one of Kolkata's popular food joint. They serve quite a different number of food stuffs that you won't find in the regular outlets. its only drawback is they charge extra vat.
This is one of my favourite restaurants. I love sitting on its first floor and watching the busy crowd passing by, knowing fully well that I too was part of the same and will soon be part of the same.
Very spacious restaurant. Divided into two parts, the ground floor being fully dedicated to bakery and juices etc while the first floor is dedicated to multi cuisine restaurant. No worrying over parking as there is ample parking space.
Food is good, in fact very good. And the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The staff - well, since they know me now, they wear smiles, otherwise they are courteous. Only thing, you have to wait for the food to arrive, but you won't feel bored since you keep on looking over the busy life rushing down the road.
Let me start of by writing this restaurant is very spacious...and has a decent crowd. You can come here for your evening snacks and evening dinner. For snacks I would recommend chicken internet and for dinner they serve good Chinese.
This sugar & spice oulet also has a restro upstairs..went there a number a times..the interiors of this place is spacious and clean and with the restro upstairs..thats just adds to the charm..we ordered jeera rice and chicken manchurian on one day..the food was good..waiters well mannered..and as a plus point there is a huge glass window overlooking the sskm hospital..thus a certain addition to the ambience of this place

This is the biggest outlet of "The Sugar & Spice" supposedly.All the items at the snacks corner were new to me coz one wont find them in the smaller outlets of "The Sugar & Spice". The food was definitely fresh.The chicken wrap is a must have(soft and loaded with chicken having coriander sauce and olive oil). I also tried the rasmalai and that was good too. Ambience is definitely good.Lots of space.Not heavy on the pocket.But their service was bit dawdling.
This is primarily a large Confectionery having the best of Cakes, Savouries and Pastries of Sugarr and Spice which I often take away. However today I decided try their Shawarma @Rs.90 which was very generous in quantity unlike most outlets. They can make it into a salad too if you want. It could be a little spicier like Ar-Han-Thai which originally introduced us first to Shawarma at the Food court of Forum mall.
Looking around for Desserts I found some Crème Brulée which at Rs.45 was surprisingly good. I have had better examples of the dish of course, but not at this price point.
One of the great indulgences of coming to this outlet is parking which is in the forecourt of the adjoining palatial mansion. Parked in its porch you find a vintage Mercedes. Painted in white, the building takes you back to the back to a lost era. And since the bakery is located all around this compound, a warm aroma of fresh baking envelopes you instantly lifting your mood.
Located just opposite SSKM hospital. This is probably the biggest outlet of "The Sugar & Spice" in town. Having multi floored sitting arrangements. The interiors are squeaky clean and the ambience is quite bright and chique. They serve a wide variety of cakes, pastries, patties, breads, pizzas, sandwiches, sweets etc;( way more variety than other outlets). The veg and nonveg are displayed in two separate sections. The service provided out here is quite slack and definitely lack efficiency. Overall an above average place to have pocket friendly savory in a well maintained and soothing ambience.
Opposite my work place pg hospital. I was a regular before. Being A veggy area only decent place to have non veg.
Bakery is beside you so staff are freshly baked. Some items are available to this counter only. Try chicken ham sandwich or club sandwich. good as lunch. Better to have chicken grilled sandwich from life snack counter. They made it in front of you for rs 108. Or if come with more than one friend order chicken pizza for rs 150.
So try the life counter and believe me, worth it.
Never sat at upstairs restaurant, so can not comment on that.
This is the very next building beside my school and i have innumerable memories here. The Arabian chicken roll being my favourite, tops the list! The grilled sandwiches and burgers are tasty too. The chocolate brownie and the chocolate cakes are delicious. The mango souffle during the summer is just amazing!They have started a Restaurant on the first floor named "signature"..which is nicely lit. The food they serve is good. We had chicken American Chopsuey, Chicken Hakka noodles and Szechuan Chicken, which are good. But the service is very disappointing. The staff is inexperienced and confused. We had ordered for icecream floats..and they ended up with bottles of coke with straws!!
Sugarr n spice reminds of bakery and not a restaurant. However, they are running a double storied restaurant opposite to SSKM Hospital, Bhowanipore. The restaurant has a first floor hall very nicely made. Food served is good but service is horrible. We felt that the waiters were farmers by profession and whetever you ask, they will give a confused look. We ordered
