With so few Sharma outlets left in the city they will still be my school and college Days nostalgia. Their tea and food is no any stranger to the people of the city and that is why i took my hunger route to Sharma Yet again.
This time ordered Club Kachori and Mix Masala Chat for the veggie evening snacks.
Cant complaint on the quality a single bit the club kachori even after getting little cold it was pretty soft and the sabzi was yummy as always. 10 pieces of Club Kachori was a shear heaven. Coming to the Mix Chaat so the quantity is more than enough for one unless the person is super Hungry. The Flavor of Dahi Chat and Masala was blended well and it was pretty satisfying from my part.

Already being a popular franchise, Lake town needed a Sharma Snacks and it did come up here too. Tasty club kachori to Jalebi in breakfast along with kadak chai, or if u go around lunch or snacks time, Hing kachori, lassi and plethora of fresh sweets is always there to cheer you up.
Regularly visit this snacks and chai joint with friends. We tried kesari tea. The small tea costs 20/- and large one 60/- The tea tasted quite decent and had the right amount of flavors. The place is hygenic.
I go their with some bunch of friends for some chai treat, then we saw their snacks and then we ordered some khasta kochuri and poteto cutlets.
All items are nice and chai is awesome.
Must try their chai.
Had ordered club kachoris (10pcs )and jalebi 4pcs combo via uber eats. The service was quite quick and food was mild warm. Got it at ₹50.9 , which was priced at ₹110.
Not great tea but its good, a bit overpriced though. Good place for a quick snacks bite or a cup of tea. And there is MUST requirement to provide a garbage bin or box or whatever but a quiet big and they Must look after the maintenance of cleanliness of the area around them since its there social responsibility.
This is one of the famous food brand. They are specially known for there tea, club kachori and different chaat items. So I ordered samosa, mircha pakoda, aloo bonda,Radhaballavi , pyaz ki kachori and cutlet. All the items were super delicious specially pyaz ki kachori, mirchi vada and Radhaballavi. The point I deducted is for cutlet as it was little sweet .
With no wonder to anyone, sharma tea is easily one of best hangout place (subjective opinion). The milk tea is really good. You can easily taste the strength of the tea. Its so flavourful. In fact, in the last year during winter the weather was pretty cold compared to the standard weather conditions of west bengal. It is during that time I had resorted to sharma tea and found by new love for tea!!
The food was really great, could definitely improve on the packaging though, the dahi from the dahi vada had spilled onto the kachoris when we opened the pack.
Street food at its best.
Sharma snacks is one of the most popular pocket friendly places to have some evening snacks.A little joint, located in Lake town, the club kachuris and the Kesharia chai of this place is my favourite.
The hing kachuris, jalebis and lassi is also the must tries from here. Each of their items are good. Staffs are nice and the service is always super fast. Highly recommended.
Ordered breakfast from this place. Usually I have tea at their store which is fab. This outlet gets pretty crowed in the evenings.
Ordered club kachori, lassi, gulab jamun.
If you are at the store then try the Rabri its amazing. The tea lines or waiting time can come as a surprise but it's definitely worth it. Also try veg chops or jalebis. The oil quality is much better than many places thus you won't need a pill after.
Don't expect service here. It totally depends on your skills to get your food quickly.
It's very pocket friendly. So enjoy and have as many items your heart desires.
Good luck.. ☺️👍
for only dhokla..4*
dahi badha is not good, but ok.
Giving this place 4.5 ratings..
I am a customer of this snacks shop since my school days.
This is located at Laketown Manasha Mandir Bus Stop.
This shop has various kinds of Veg snacks.
I love their each n every items and specially their tea.
Tried n tasted almost everything from there but at my todays visit I had Club Kochuri, Hingham kochuri and Lassi.
Their Lassi is mind blowing. highly recommended.
The shop is very small and Place is narrow.
Seating arrangements are not there.
But the footpath beside the shop is bit wide so 10 to 15 people can easily stand and eat at a time.
Lastly prices are low. pocket friendly.
A good place to have snacks.
Its a pretty old shop, on the opposite side of Turtle showroom. Few times I had breakfast here, its pretty good. Everyone should atleast try them once, its worth it!
Here is no question of asking for ambience as its basically a tea shop where tea is is sold in great demand but nice to see that they are having various kinds of snacks like samosa , kachuri , dahi vara.....overall you might not have any problem having dry or even liquid kind of food as they have a quite wide footpath to stand and eat without any trouble.....but if you are willing to rest your plate over something and eat then it might become a matter of luck as the place has a very narrow place to eat resting our plates cause there is always a great rush since 7 o' clock in the morning......best of luck !!!!
A few of my choices
∆Club Kachori
∆Dahi Vara
∆Papri Chat
∆Samosa
∆Special tea

Today i tried there kachori and chaa and dhokla.
Its taste awesome just mind blowing.
Price is also reasonable.
Behaviour of the stuff is also good.
Quality they maintain is awesome.
Hope to go again.
I have so many school memories attached to this place. From having evening tea with friends after tuition to enjoying heavenly jalebis from here on sundays, this place has been a major part of my childhood. Though I feel the quality has degraded over time but it still is one of the best breakfast options in town and can also be termed as the place where you can enjoy evening snacks with some chai. We don't get time to visit Sharma's now a days so we generally order in. We generally order from swiggy as Zomato doesn't deliver from Sharma's to my place but I feel the price has increased significantly. It is possible that they charge more for home delivery but I feel it's still worth as they always deliver hot and fresh. My advice: if you want to enjoy their authentic Sharma style snacks then it's better to visit than home delivering. My request to the team will be to also start delivering their iconic tea as that's hard to miss.
So today m happy to reviewing my oltym favorite place.
Location : Sharma Lake Town, opposite to CCD.
The things i like here most r Chai, kesar chai, Dhokla, Kachauri , Dahi Vada, Veg Cutlet, Samosa & Gajar Ka Halwa, Jalebi, Lassi (olmost everythng😝). This place is kinda relief to me after a busy day . Each of deir items r just full if awesomeness & yummyy. Specially Gajar Ka Halwa & Chaa. Which r d must Try out der...
Highly recommended ✌
Sharma snacks at Lake Town, has amazing Kesar Chai. Club kachori & aloo subzi is very nice as well, though the subzi can be slightly bland. Samosa are crisp on the outside & potato filling is spicy & tasteful.
A good place to savour for some evening snacks.
An evening feast for vegetarians.
Good on time delivery. The food was piping hot by the time it reached.
Great 🙌
Best place to have a cup of hot cardamom tea on a cold winter evening and awesome lassi on a hot summer afternoon. Their sweets and club kachori are very nice.
Perfect to go and grab some Chai , snacks , Lassi and especially Kachodi Sabji 👌 Go visit this place and thanks me later on . Everything on the menu is a must try 😊
Went there with Mom for tea and snacks. Ample car parking space. A small and shabby shop with crowd thronging around. All the staff are super busy, especially the boy serving tea. I chose papri chaat and Kesar tea for Mom and mixed chaat for myself. The chaats were wonderfully prepared - very tasty. They prepared just as per instruction. A miracle as to how they remembered it in the crowd. Mom said the tea was also good, not too sweet but heavy and served in a clay cup after a long time.
Price reasonable, location ok, staff were professionals. We have decided to return here again next week.
You hv got to try their club kachoris.. tag it along with jalebis and you hv d best breakfast combo.. their samosa is also awesome.. plan a breakfast..
Great place to have an evening snack. They make brilliant tea and their jalebis are to savour!
It's located behind the laketown sarbojonin Puja arena. Must visit if one is looking for an evening/morning snack.
There is a reason why Bengali people love to indulge over tea and 'adda'. With so many quaint joints around the city quietly serving amazing tea in clay pots in combination with various snacks, it comes as no surprise that loyal customers throng to their favourite adda spots every evening.
Living in rented apartments can be difficult and God knows how many times my family has moved around the city in search of the perfect apartment. Having recently moved to Rajarhat, it was my mom who set out in search for the perfect tea and discovered Sharma Snacks. With stools laid around to sit and enjoy some hot samosas over tea, Sharma's serves customers of all age groups.
The kachori served with aloo sabzi is crispy and absolutely delicious with the chutney acting as the much needed complement with the same. The tea wasn't too sweet (just the way I like it) and sufficiently thick with the clay pot adding a flavour of its own. Teamed with the hot samosas, it tasted like heaven and proved the fact that nowhere in India will you find a place that adores it's food as much as Bengal does.
Make it a point to visit the place if you are around the area. Afterall, all you need for the perfect 'adda' is always some good tea.
Name any marwari food, and this place has got you covered. From snacks to sweets this shop will blow you with it's taste. On weekends this shop is always filled with customers, especially in the mornings when people try hard to even get to enter the shop and get their hands on the hot delicacies being made.
This place generally focuses on snacks and breakfast items. People go crazy over its club kachoris, radhaballabis, piyaj kachoris, lassi, samosas, jalebis etc. Even their tea is also something special and they generally deal with customers nicely :)
Sharma is located bang opposite to the Lake town AC market. Its really famous for their club kachori, jalebi and chai. I am also fond of their specialities. Its a great place to break your fast and kick start a day. In a plate of club kachori they will give you 5 club sized super hot kachori with aloo, paneer, matar sabji and green chatni. But nowadays I feel that they have cut down the amount of paneer and matar in their sabji which is a bit disappointing to me. Their jalebis are my absolute favourite! Then comes their rabri which is my second favourite!! They really make some awesome marwari sweets. I have tried their veg sandwich but I really didn't like it. It was very dry and flavourless. Than comes their lassi. I ordered lassi and when it came I saw that the lassi wasn't anything to die for. I feel that their lassis are overpriced. I'll prefer shyambazar's or esplanade's lassi over sharma's lassi. One should try out all their food items at least once but one shouldn't miss their jalebi ever!!Rohan Kamila
This street side food joint is located at Lake Town. It is perfect for having sweets, veg snacks and tea.
Zero ambiance with no seating arrangements. But Service is good.
Had their Club Kachori and Sabji for morning breakfast, it was really good, tasty and heavy.
Price is low, Very much pocket friendly.
An institution in itself, The Sharma Tea and Snacks franchise is one of the finest places to be at when it comes to tea and vegetarian snacks. Have been to their Bangur and Saltlake Swimming pool outlets as well, this place is a great one. I have had their dhokla, piyaz kachori and absolutely am in love with the Doodh Cola.
They make a great cuppa. Served in bhands, i.e clay cups..... It takes the kullad wali chai famous. A bit pricey if u consider the tea. They charge 30 bucks for a large bhand.
A good place to catch up with friends over chai and pakodas, this place is in one word outstanding.
Well this small joint is located at lake town at a walking distance from the jaya cinemas...they have a variety of snacks and tea..u may get to see some of the snacks getting prepared right in front of u..well i have'nt been xtremely impressed with their food but yes it is good,undoubtedly....but the tea is just heavenly..it has never failed me..just never...prices are a little on the higher side but it is worth it..please do visit this outlet atleast for the tea..
Sharma Snacks is much popular for its puri and chai. Once I halted here for a cup of Tea and also took two Puris with it.
Tea was perfectly made. Tasted very good. Small amount of Ginger in it added to its taste.
The puri was also oil less and good to taste.
They probably serve one of the best hing kachoris in the city. And the aloo sabzi is also very tasty. It's amazing how each of the items in the menu are equally delicious. All the desserts are so good too. We usually go there to have a samosa and end up having half of our dinner there.
If you are looking for garam chaay and jalebi with club kachori for breakfast in or around lake town area then head to this place. This place remains crowded all the time, its possible you have to wait for your turn. The only reason i come back to this place is for great club kachoris and jalebis.
Prices are also very reasonable.....
Well, I begin with a big thank you note to the Management of Sharma Snacks, Lake Town – who simply made my evening – with their signature Kesaria tea.
After watching a movie with my friend, we strolled around and hit upon this place, conveniently situated near Jaya Cinemas, Lake Town. Having due regards to the mild rainfall in progress, we decided to have a cup (errr …. Bhaand) of tea from here. It was perhaps the best ever I had in my life - or atleast – to the extent I can remember – I am still in veneration of that and thinking what elements had been used in the making to impart a taste of that level. One thing I could easily figure out that milk/ tea had been over boiled to make it denser and condensed – rest I couldn’t.
For sides, we ordered a plate of poori bhaaji (or kachori sabji – whatever thy name) – which was prepared live and served hot-n-fresh. It was fine, sabji – tasty, although, the poori lacked the fluffiness and slenderness I anticipated.
Moving over to the ambience, there is none – as the shop is pretty small – no seating arrangements are available, although, I strongly feel that a few chairs can be accommodated outside. Prices are reasonable – but they seriously need to work upon the hygiene factor – specially considering the monsoon. Service is fine.
Well, to sum up – they can very well change their name to “Sharma Snacks and the Tea experts”.
Sharma Snacks is quite well known witch eateries in many locations in Kolkata. Famous for its tea, lassi, club kachori. Serves fresh and tasty food. Some of the sweets are also quite delicious. It remains crowded all the time more or less. Must haves are the tea and club kachori!
Sharma Snacks is a well established brand all over the city so there is nothing much to say about the brand.
Located at the bylane of lake town main road this outlet is quite a popular one.
I have gone with my friends quite often to this outlet for breakfast and their special chai (Tea)
I had club kachori and Jalebi from here. Food is fresh and quite tasty as well. I prefer them as breakfast or evening snacks as well.
Service is swift and quite responsive as well. Loved it. :)

Had been there with my friends for breakfast. I guess that was needless to say as Sharma Snacks is well know for economical breakfasts throughout the city.
We had their regular club kachoris, jalebi and lassi. The food was nice and even the quantity was good.
Service is also speedy.
A small tea junction situated in bangur.....bt it's my all time favourite tea junction....like der club kachori and evening snacks also....aur specially chota wala gulabjamun
This place is famous for its garam garam golab jamuns...pop them in the mouth and feel them melting instantly...steaming hot...fried perfect...guess Sharma for me means these hot delights but but but you gotta catch them fast...they vanish fast...all the best ☺
Landed yesterday nite and in the morning one of the places i always visit is sharma's !
One of the best places to serve fresh and tasty kachodi sabji !
Just have a cup of tea with it , in winters it cant get better !
Do try out but eat it fresh else the taste would definately vary !
This place is both pocket friendly and stomach friendly. I liked the samosa and tea at very affordable rate. I love to visit here again & again.
A well known tea and snacks counter which is always frequented by customers. I had the tikia chat and jalebi here. The pure ghee hot jalebis tasted like pure bliss. They were enormous in size. The tikka chat was very tasty with perfectly fried aloo till a mixed with curd and chana
Currently one of my favourite tea stall I'm kolkata..
I found it best than any other sharma stall too..
I love to have tea..
Thus, this sharma's tea let my mind and my taste.. PEACE :)
Nice place really..
Great tea available here..
I like the way they make it..worth a watch..
Always crowded..
Great snacks and sweets are also available here
Maybe the most trusted chain of fastfood joints in kolkata where you get tasty kachoris jalebees dhokla lassi tea etc etc. Particularly this place is very very small. Hardly you can stand and eat. As this place is crowded all the time, its possible you have to wait for your turn, so patience is must. The only reason i come back to this place is for great club kachoris.
Have been visiting this joint for past couple of months and they make Lovely tasty club kachoris and clubbed with hot crispy jalebi and to top with ginger tea - it's awesome
If you didn't taste it yet, you just dont taste it. Choice is yours. :)
But my problem is now I have to write atleast 140 words...oh done :)
Easily rate as one of my best CHAI breaks.
The place was introduced to me by a friend, who most probably dragged me to Sharma's for the first time. On later occasions he still had to do the same as I was the one who wouldn't go without having at least 3 cups of tea. [chai and sutta]
The first time when my friend took me there, they put some Kesar in the tea and they called it masala chai, I was so excited that i burnt my tongue :P ... but all that was acceptable as from that time onwards I was going to be a regular customer.
This tea madness started when I was in college and it's safe to say that I am a TEAKHOR by now.
My first visit to Sharma's was on 2010 and it rolled smoothly till 2013 and then ended abruptly. .... :(
I still miss the piping hot GULAB JAMUNS and SAMOSAS. The RABRI they used to prepare was simply irresistible although it had no extravagance in it, yet simply exceptional.
I used to take that RABRI back home, my folks appreciated it too. I took my MA to have tea a couple of times and for the funny part she too burnt her tongue in the first sip :P
Sharma's ei pujotey dekha hocche :)
In my graduation days me nd my friends used to go everyday after tuition for adda
There nothing better than an adda in a tea stall this is where i had the best Tea of the town, awesome kochuri nd singaras
Oh yeah not to forget bhang in holi 😂
This place is very special for me 😄
Close to my heart
Looking for garam chaay and jalebi with club kachori for breakfast in or around lake town, head to this place. Specially on Sundays they make ghee jalebi, its yummy. Be ready to jostle in to get the food and have it standing on the footpath. They do parcel things for take away.
In the mood for some hot masala chaay in the morning then Sharma in Lake Town is your destination. Located in one of the residential lanes of Lake Town this joint has catered to the local people for years now. The entire tea making process itself is a treat for the eyes where the frothing milk is treated with ginger, sugar and tea leaves to bring out the special aroma in the tea. To sip the tea from the clay glasses is a different experience altogether.
They also sell kachoris and samosas along with other snack items. So if you are looking for a morning breakfast with a typical indian flavour you can try out the items here. The hot kachori and sabji will boost your day.
Do not expect a very clean ambience here ad there is too many things going on in the same shop and the waiters are mostly in chaddi and banian.
When I found out my favorite place for tea has an outlet at a stone's throw from my tuition, I was overjoyed. Since then, the entire friends' group has visited Sharma's after every session.
Situated by the Manasabari bus stop, Sharma Snacks (like its other outlets) serves possibly the best lassi I've had till now in Kolkata. I totally in love with their "bhaar" of tea as well.
We would regularly feast on their hot kachori and club kachori, with some jalebi to complement them. Though we love the kachoris, they seemed better a couple of years back. The pakora platter is also a nice choice, provided you have them as long as they stay hot and retain the crunch.
Prices are very, very reasonable. Eating here is never a disappointment.
P.S. They never hesitate to pamper you with extra malai on your lassi. Just go ahead and ask for it. :)
Kachori sabazi here is really very tasty and it is crowded daily. No matter what. It will always be crowded and kesaria tea is love 💖 A perfect place for having breakfast.
Mostly vegeterian foods are available. But they are really pure and tasty. Not too costly in comparison to the place.
Kachudi and jilipi is good.
I will give one thumb up at least.
Excellent food… cost-effective…. Great location…. Parking facility not good….. tea absolutely awesome…. Food is hygienic….. but would request the shop to dress up and clean up the front area…. visiting the place for the last 10 years…… overall would recommend people
Actually food and behaviour also good but they haven't any setting arrangements. So, it's a big problem in this area. If you purchase something then go to your house or stand on the footpath for eating it.
Tea is expensive.. You may get more taste at the other shop located in front of it with a low cost
But the samosa and jalebi is very tasty...
Alwz fvrt for their snacks items & Tea 👌👌
Food is good but the Owner is not very cooperative . He is not polite .
Lovely place for veg food and no onion also.. club kachoori and singhara is famous of this place.. must try..
I go their with some bunch of friends for some chai treat, then we saw their snacks and then we ordered some khasta kochuri and poteto cutlets.
All items are nice and chai is awesome.
Must try their chai.
It's a nice place. The food is delicious and if you love chaat, there can be no better option.
The price is pocket-friendly. However, there's limited space.
The food was fresh and undoubtedly the taste was amazing, the service is quite good too, the prices may feel a bit costlier but it definitely justifies it with its quality and hygieness that it offers. Definitely must try place.
Personal suggestion :- Eat whatever you want but keep some space for their Lassi. Believe me you are going to thank me for this one
Clubkachori and lassi was just awesome and too tasty 😋. A must visit at Laketown
Food is always fresh, tasty - reasonably priced. Ideal place for snacks & sweets. Downside is that the shop is too small, crowded, not so clean & not well laid out. Also the behaviour of the Owner/ Main Person: Bald Middle-aged Uncle & his Counter Sales Assistants especially that of Raju is very rude & argumentative. They behave as if they are doing the customers a big favour by serving & they always try to shout down any customer who questions them. This Bald Middle-aged Manager thinks his Outlet is the best & biggest in Kolkata. This Outlet is doomed for failure & will find it difficult to win the affection of the customers.
Overall experience with snacks was good...
One loop hole is that they don't have any online payment service which I think they should enable ..
Rest everything is fine
This place has great food, but the quality has been deteriorating with time. It used to serve delicious food with a great quality 5 years back, but the quality kept getting bad.
The place is also pretty small as you can see in the photos, due to which there's a big chaos there whenever you go, and the place is congested. You can't stand and eat, even though they have the option, because of the low space.
Also, even though there are pictures of QR codes and everything, they don't accept online payment. So, before taking your food, confirm once if the online payment is accepted instead of believing the same seeing the QR code.
All in all, the place can get better if work is done properly.
Its a road side small restaurant and the food culture belong from Bihar, You can test the best item of tgem Lassi, Samosa, Tea, Big Kachouri.
Very hygienic and good quality all all food
Taste of snacks was good and samosa with green chutney is very tasty and taste of chai is also good .pocket friendly
