Starting right from the succulent tandoor platter to the Veg Jhal Frezi, Paneer Butter Masala and Mushroom Masala, you can barely imagine that non-meat dishes can taste so well! Their delectable Veg Biriyani deserves a special mention here and all for the right reasons! The soft & juicy paneer tikka that forms a part of this delight, has the perfect balance of spices and smoke. This place is very good for local vegetarians the ambiance is good and good quality is even more good. Yet when comes to cons while if u order food from here some items spills which show lack of packaging and prices can be more affordable seeing the portion size overall the food and quality of this restaurant is good.

Had heard a lot about this place so had to give a try. My father is an ardent south indian food lover so ordered onion masala dosa for him and for myself I got a plate of chilly paneer. The dosa was really huge. It was too much for a person with medium apetite. My father loved the sambaar and chutney. The chilly paneer had little bit of packed punch to it. I do like my chinese food spicy but this was a little bit on the too much spicy side for my taste. The paneer was really soft though but the portion size was small. Overall, food quality is good and service is prompt. But price is a bit on the steeper side. Otherwise, a great joint.
Urban masala is a vegetarian restaurant . The content here is extraordinary and the staff section is much cooperative. Food quality is excellent and decorative ambience. Recommend you the main course and the dessert. Much varieties and rated quantity ❤. Do try the " veg aur gratin ".

Well, few restaurants "buy" ratings – in terms of paid invites to bloggers and few places "earn" ratings in terms of serving excellent food - and this is 1 of those places which falls in the latter category!
Spotted a new kitchen - Urban Masala, based somewhere in Lake Town and was pretty impressed with the Zomato rating of 4.8- was thus compelled to order and Upma as well as Utthapam for breakfast from this place!
Both the dishes tasted excellent - the upma (along with high quality cashew nuts and some chopped veggies) deserves a special mention! Utthapam was also nice, although a tad too oily - but still awesome! Excellent food quality and decent quantity, spill free and tamper proof packing, reasonable pocket pinch and outstanding food presentation are the other feathers in their cap!
Above dishes went pretty well with the sambhar and coconut chutney was a little spicy!
Everything, from order acceptance to order delivery was just PERFECT - preparation, packing, presentation, taste, pocket pinch, quantity, quality, timeliness! Overall, a perfect experience and hence, a perfect 5 star rating also for them!

The restaurant is situated in Lake Town, near Jaya Multiplex Cinema Hall. When we entered to the restaurant, i smell a very good aroma. The restaurent is well decorated and the staffs are well mannered and their behavior is good. Coming to the food, the food they serve is amazing. I never tasted this kind of veg dishes earlier. Well, I really don't remember when was the last time I stepped into a pure veg restaurant and walked out with a smile. Yes, my cravings were satisfied with some lipsmacking dishes. From continental to north indian the menu is wide. And their desserts are just mindblowing.
Some of the recommended dishes are:
Butter Naan, Malai Kofta, Paneer Butter Masala and Veg Biriyani. The Veg Biriyani is a must try.
And in the dessert section I tried their signature dessert i.e, Paan Kulfi which is highly recommended.
Also tried their Kesar Rasmalai which is again recommended.

Located just opposite jaya cinema hall this restaurant serves one of the best veg foods. Dropped in to this restaurant and to my surprise a variety items are recognizable that will never let you down.
Ambience was pretty awesome, variety wall paintings ,inspiring quotes are noticeable, this restaurant can accommodate up to (30 -35) people.
Staffs were well mannered and polite there serving technique will leave you stunned.

Man chow soup-Ok so this was the show stopper,which made me drool over it full of veggies and spices this soup is a must try it was served with fried noodles which was cherry on top of cake.
Burmese know Suey-This yummy dish was made with thick coconut milk mixed with various veggies and noodles and served hot.
Tandoori platter:This was a unique one with 3 varieties of kebabs potato,veg and paneer and well garnished with salads and bell papers
Hara bhara kebab-This was another kebab made with mixed vegetables and served with chutney
Paneer butter Masala -My favourite of all a well to go companion with masala kulcha and naan.A thick buttery and creamy texture gravy with paneer
Corn palak-This was pure love palak mixed with corn and garnished with cream was bliss.
Dal Makhani-This was the great dish I found it a bit over spicy.

Recently I visited this amazing veg restaurant. It is located on the lane just beside Jaya Cinema hall. It's a beautiful and well decorated place and perfect for hanging out with friends and family . Loved the ambience and sophistication. The staffs were cordial and humble. This is a must visit kinda place. Usually we bengalis do not prefer veg over non veg. But this veg restaurant will change this thought. This place serves amazing and tasty veg food. The restaurant can easily accommodate 20 to 25 people. Now coming to food we tried-
🔸Manchow soup- it was amazing, full of veggies and flavours. It was a bit spicy. So if you like spicy food definitely go for this soup. And they also served fried noodles with the soup which was another great thing.
🔸Burmese Khow Suey- This is a healthy yet a tasty dish with a strong smell of coconut. It had veggies and Noddles in it with a soupy consistency. There were burnt garlic, peanuts, fried noodles, chilli flakes, lemon, fried onions and a mixture of corns and bell peppers and chopped corriander leaves served as sides to this amazing dish.
🔸Tandoori Platter- It had 3 different types of ingredients cooked in tandoori style with bell peppers and was a super delicious dish served with pudina chutney.
🔸Hara bhara kebab- I found this a bit drying but was tasty and was served with pudina chutney.
🔸Paneer Butter Masala- A highly recommend dish. Super creamy and rich with flavours tasted heavenly.
🔸Corn palak- An amazing dish with creamy texture and corn kennels adding a bit of sweetness to the dish.
🔸Dal Makhani- we all know how it tastes with naan and kulcha. Beautiful blend of spices with a creamy consistency.
🔸Masala kulcha- it was soft and tasty with all the perfect mixture of all the spices.
🔸Garlic Naan- it was soft as well with a perfect smell of garlic and butter.
🔸Veg biriyani- it had paneer in it and was perfectly cooked but was little less salty. Otherwise it was fine. And it was served with raita.
🔸Paan Kulfi- tried this dessert for the first time. It had a strong flavour and smell of paan, gulkaand and fennel seeds. This tasted amazing.
🔸Tuti Fruti- This was my absolute favourite and I loved this to the core. Filled with icecream, Tuti fruti, strawberries and what not. It was perfect and I can't express how much i loved this desert.

Paneer Butter Masala- This item tasted good . It was served with big pieces of paneer.
Masala Kulcha- The kulcha tasted great and went perfect with paneer butter masala. The kulcha was soft. Loved this combo.
Veg Biryani- I tried this for the first time. It was well served. Tasted good.
Dal Makhani - The taste of this item was too good. It had the perfect mixture of spices. Must give a try.
Pan Khulfi - I am a dessert lover so according to me this pan kulfi is the best dessert I have ever tried. From it name we can understand that it has the perfect flavour of pan. The kulfi was the best among all.
Tuti Fruti- Loved this dessert too. The falooda was yummy. Must try.

1)Manchow soup - The soup was very tasty. The ones who love spicy food should try this item. The perfect blend of spices in it made it taste fantastic. Thus this lip-smacking item is a must try.
2) Burmese khow suey - This item too tasted very good. It was made of noodles and lots of veggies. It was not only tasty but also very healthy.
3) Tandoori platter - The tandoori platter is a must try item at this place.
3) Hara bhara kebab - The kebabs in it was very tasty and was served with salad and green chutney.
4) Masala kulcha and paneer butter masala - The kulcha was very tasty and went perfect with paneer butter masala. The pander butter masala was very tasty and well cooked. It had lots of big pieces of paneer in it. Thus highly recommended.
4) Pan kulfi - I had lots of different kinds of desserts but pan kulfi at this place is just the best. It had the perfect sweetness and flavor of pan. Very well presented and tasted heavenly. This mouth watering item is a must try item.
6) Tuti fruiti - The tuti fruiti too tasted very good. The blend of falooda and ice-cream in it was perfect and tasted very good.
The ambience is just too beautiful. It is very spacious and beautifully decorated. The staffs were very courteous and service was very prompt. Thus this place is highly recommended.

This pure veg family restaurant is located at the side lane of Jaya Multiplex, Lake Town. The eatery is quite spacious and accommodate around 30-40 guests. Talk about the ambiance it's very elegant and decorated with warm lights. The eatery is providing good qualities of food at affordable price. So we ordered for...
• Burmese Khow Suey: This one is a heavy bowl of burmese style soup made with exotic veggies, noodles and coconut milk served alongside lots of condiments to combine with. Taste wise it was very mild & something very different from regular soup. One portion is good enough for 2-3 person.
• Veg au gratin: This kebab has cheese stuffing inside very tender & ready to melt in mouth.
• Tandoor platter: This delightful platter consist of 4 different varieties of kebab like very tender paneer & mushrooms, bit spicy baby potatoes and veg seekh kebab though the sheek kebab was little dry as per my likings.
In main course we had..
• Paneer butter masala which was bit sweet for my taste buds.
• Corn Palak: One of the best dish. Delicate flavour and creamy texture made this dish stand out.
• Daal Makhani to combine with Garlic Butter Naan & Masala kulcha.
• The veg biryani is overloaded with paneer and veggies n served well in a handi.
• Also we had veg lasagna, filled with veggies and lots of cheese & bit tangy in flavour.
• In dessert I badly wanted to try Paan kulfi. one can end-up the meal with this one without any doubt instead of having a mitha paan.
• Also tried for Brownie with ice cream which was very satisfying & a huge glass of Tutti Fruti prepared with fresh strawberries, ice cream and jelly.

This restaurant has a modest ambiance in general but they have an amazing range of vegetarian dishes to try.
1. Starting with the soups; the first soup was a Manchow Soup, with a tangy yet spicy flavour. Nothing uncommon, was a regular good soup.
The second soup was a Burmese Khow Suey, and it was probably my favourite one. It had a mild taste because of the vegetables and coconut milk and also had alot of other contrasting condiments to spice up the soup.
2. Next were the starters, The Tandoori Platter was a combination of Panner, Mushroom, Potato and Veg Sikh Kebab. Each and every kebab were pretty flavourful and were served with the classic mint chutney.
The second kebab was the Hara Bhara Kebab, it was also a vegetable kebab but had a cheesy filling inside which made it stand out, in short those starters were good.
3. I personally liked their Veg Lasagne, it had a slight tangy flavour and was super cheesy filled with vegetables and sause.
4. Their briyani made me amazed, this was my first time trying Veg Biryani but it was pretty good. All the flavours were just right and it was just like a normal good Dum Biryani except with paneer slices.
5. Panner Butter Masala was a perfect balance of sweet and creamy and went well with the Biryani, Garlic Naan and Masala Kulcha.
Dal Makhani went to the savoury side and had a good kick to it with a lil bit of creamy texture.
Corn Palak was also a very good preparation. I'm generally not a huge fan of corn but i liked this dish alot more than i expected. It was sweet, creamy and had a savoury kick.
6. Tutti Frutti, it was a refreshing dessert. The fresh fruits with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream was a beautiful combination.
Paan Kulfi, it takes over the classic "meetha paan" taste with some added flavours. A pretty good choice to cleanse your palate after a huge meal.
Brownie with Icecream was my favourite one, those brownies had a very good and fudgy consistency, not too overpowering with the sweetness and the ice cream on top with chocolate sause drizzle complimented the whole concoction.
This place has a very simple, elegant ambiance. Hospitable staffs and pretty good selection of vegetation dishes to try. A good places to comeover for a hearty lunch/dinner with friends and family.

Inside was nicely decorated with beautiful flowers and lights .You will find some photoframe showing beautiful coatations on the walls.
This place can hold 45-50 people at a time..
About food I can say, it is the best vegetarian resto in town...
In terms of both presentation and taste each and every item was extremely good.
In starter hara bhara kebab is highly recommend and among huge varieties of main course items my recommendation is veg biriyani with paneer butter masala.

Recently I visited this place with my family. This is a pure veg restaurant and this is best veg restaurant in town.
Ambience is very classy and nice. Great seating arrangement. Their foods are delicious and so good. Prices are affordable. Presentation was very nice. Service was prompt and staff's are courteous.

It was yummy and gravy was so tasty and nicely cooked. Paneer was so soft.
4. Pan kulfi
It was just amazing. Taste was like real pan with masala and gulkand. Presentation was great. They served with a pan.
5. Tutti frutti
It was also very good. So good. Ice cream was lovely. Made with strawberry slices and vanilla ice cream and scoop of tutti frutti ice cream. Presentation was so nice. I loved it.
Quantity and quality both were perfect. Great place.
Ordered in Malai Kofta, (which tasted the best among three), Chana Masala and Burnt veg garlic rice both tasted average. Total cost was around 500 rupees. Good food overall.

The restaurant is a family restaurant located in laketown beside jaya cinema hall. The restaurant served Veg items only. We have visited it yesterday it was a amazing experience to be there. The foods were very very tasty and the quality of service was really to be appreciated. We have ordered Garlic Nun, Masala kulcha, Veg biriyani , dal makhani and panner butter masala. The desert we ordered were Tutti fruti, pan kulfi and chocolate brownies with vanilla ice cream. All the items were very tasty and i would suggest everyone to visit this restaurant.

The resturant is very beautifully decorated with flowers and posters. All the items we ordered were so delicious with perfect blend of spices. W started off with the Virgin Mojito then we headed over to the Kebab Platter which consisted of Aloo Tikka Kebabs, Paneer Tikka Kebab, Mushroom Kebab and Veg Seekh Kebab. All the Kebabs were immaculately made with all the spices rightly added to it thus giving a perfect flavour. Out of the main course, I really liked the Paneer Butter Masala which went really well with the Cheese Naan. The kulcha too was superbly made. The veg Biryani was the show stopper of the show. It consisted of finely done rice with secret spices consisting of Paneer and Aloo. In the dessert section, all the desserts blew my mind. The tutty Fruitty, the paan Kulfi all we're fabulous. This place truly deserves a 4.9 star rating on zomato and is Vegetarian's paraside. Being an ardent Non vegetarian, I would highly recommend this place to everyone and I am eagerly looking to my next visit.

Being a hardcore fan of non vegetarian food, I seldom find myself visiting a pure vegetarian restaurant and loving the food. The food I had in urban masala made me plan my date of next visit here. Yes! I loved it a lot.
Located at Laketown, it takes 10 minutes in an auto from Belgachia metro station which is further followed by a 4 minutes walk. White colour is the basic of the interior of Urban Masala. This 25-30 seater restaurant is comfortable and cosy along with quirky quotes hung around the walls of the restaurant. It is ideal for every genre of people. Young or old, one can always have a great time with delicious food over here.
A family place with pure vegetarian options. Good place. Good location. Good food. Good ambience. Good service. Very much pocket friendly. Only the quantity is a bit less at this price. Otherwise everything else is at par and to the expectations!
